ODC-Create Commit and Index Profiles in Bulk

Is there a way to create commit and index profiles en masse with ODC? And also Import Server jobs?
I have a need to create perhaps several hundred specific of these, due to specific queuing requirements by a customer.
Any pointers or insights welcome.

There is one "Import-Export" utility provided by Oracle for dealing settings of ODC.
May be you can create that export file though Java program which can be then imported in ODC using that utility. The format of Export file needs to be studied.

The Service and Response Profiles can be created in the easy access menu using the path
SAP Menu> Service> Service Contracts and Service Plans--> Maintain availability and Response Time
Availability time is also know as service profile
And then assign these service and response profiles to your Servie Product Master which will be used in the service ticket.
For the field to be available to enter teh service and response profile in the product master, assign the set types COMM_PR_SRV to the category in which the product will be created

Instead of using the ODI 10g GUI Console to create users and add them to a profile, Can this task be achieved by scripting ? Either by wlst or JMX or Java Packages ? Please advise and guide me.

My SCVMM upgrade to UR6 after, I can't create VM and hardware profile.

My SCVMM's hardware profile is missing, once I create hardware profile in Library , system will be crash. how to fix it?

Had a similar problem a couple of days ago.
where able to create Hardware Profiles, but not delete them. and since the Create Virtual machine process in vmm creates and remove a Hardware Template, the creation failed.
when it failed to delete, i got a error log located in C:\ProgramData\VMMLogs\. take a look at it.
in my case it was a database error.
i ran "DBCC CHECKDB (VirtualManagerDB)" and it indicated that my indexes was corrupted.
I then did run "DBCC CHECKDB (VirtualManagerDB, repair_rebuild)" and it fixed the problem.
Read the log, check the database. and if its the same problem as me. run the repair_rebuild.
but remember to take a backup, just in case.

Using ColorSync to Create Grayscale and Remove profiles?

I am working on a book, which I have created in Pages. It's entirely in grayscale. I sent the PDF to the printer and their preflight found a number of problems related mainly to colorspace. It finds CMYK and RGB colorspaces even though it all looks like grayscale to me. The other issue they raise is attached ICC profiles. They say I should have none. I think I can fix this in ColorSync by creating a filter which removes the profiles and creates a grayscale file, but I'm not sure. Can anyone walk me through?

I have already done this of course, and also more broadly searched the net for answers. Finding none I asked here. It is not a matter of being unable to create Colorsync filters. It is a matter of solving the specific technical problems stated above.

Create, commit, rollback button behavior

I have a view object dropped as a form. It has the default create, commit and rollback buttons.
On initial display, only the create button is enabled, and the form is read-only.
I click create button, which then it allows me to enter input.
Upon clicking create button again, the form saves the input, clears itself, awaiting next input, and both commit and rollback buttons become enabled. I can continue to add more rows using create button.
When I click either commit or rollback, the form becomes read-only again, and only the create button is enabled.
This is the JDev standard form behavior which I want.
Now, I add just 2 more enhancement, and this behavior gets broken.
First, I drop the same view object as a table underneath the form, so that as records are added, the table will reflect it.
Secondly, the form has two selectOneChoice components whereby upon valuechange on the first selectOneChoice, the second
selectOnechoice items are dynamically populated via bean method and partial trigger.
With these 2 changes, the entire page behaves like following:
Upon create click, it gives me the form, but subsequent click on create does not clear the fields.
If I click the create again, it then clears the fields. So, it takes 2 clicks on create to get a cleared form.
But, it adds the row because I see it in the table below, but only one column displays the value in the newly added row.
Upon commit, the row displays all values.
Another thing is it fails to save the value from the second selectOneChoice field.
Could you please point out what I am not doing right here?

I gave some thoughts to my problem later, and it seems like one easy way out would be to create a form using ADF Faces components, then write a service method to insert a new row
from the data gleaned through this form.
I am new to JDev, and this approach of not utilizing the built-in functions of JDev may seem like defeating the very purpose of JDev.
I find Oracle's Business Component's non-gui model very understandable and a strong alternative to Hibernate/Spring.
However, it seems like sometimes it just may be easier, such as in this case, to resort to programmatic way.
What is your view on this? I have used JDev less than 3 wks and would like to hear from experts.

No it's not a bug, Oracle will treat "datab" as alias to "dataa" if comma left out.
Doesn't your view has two columns id and datab, but datab column showing dataa data?

Create table with constraint and index

If I create a table with constraint key; after that I create an unique index key, I got an error. Please see below.
Does it mean when I create a table with constraint the unique index are automatically created and I could not create
index key as I did as below?

Confusion with Commit and Create Operations

Hi:
I'm using JDeveloper 10.1.3.4. I created an ADF Table that I want to use for data entry and modification. I also added Commit and Create operations as command buttons. Here's the behavior I'm seeing when I run the page:
1. When I click on Create a blank record appears but no record is created in the database. This seems appropriate.
2. When I enter data and click Commit, two records are created in the database: one with the data I entered and a blank record. This is problematic.
Can anyone suggest a reason why I get 2 records during the Commit-button action? Also, is there a correct way to create this data-entry table?

Hello,
Try using the createInsert operation instead of create.
Both these operations only create a new row on the midtier, NOT in the database, which is intended.
because adding the row right away to the database removed any use for the midtier in general
cereate only creates a row in the midtier, it does not cimmit anything to the database and will not do so unless any value in that row is altered.
createInsert create a row on the midtier and marks it so that the next commit will save this row to the database no matter if no values are changed.
It doesnt explain why you got two records though, which is something different, maybe you clicked twice or called create twice?

Resetting User Account Password (10.7 +)
1) Boot into your Recovery Partition holding down command + R at the startup chime
2) Select 'Terminal' from your Utilities Menu Bar
3) Type the following bolded command in: resetpassword
4) From the window that appears, select your boot volume and the appropriate user account
5) Type in the new password and confirm the new password
6) Click Save, close this pane and quit Utilities
7) Select your boot volume when presented with choose startup disk and reboot your machine

Change Pointers
I know how to change the description of a material using ALE Change Pointers.
I will give the following few steps
1) Tcode BD61---> check the change pointers activated check box
        save and goback.
2) Tcode BD50---> check the MATMAS check box save and comeback.
3) Tcode BD51---> goto IDOC_INPUT_MATMAS01 select the checkbox save and comeback.
4) Tcode BD52---> give message type : matmas press ok button.
   select all what ever you want and delete remaining fields.
   save & come back.
5) 5) go to Tcode MM02 select one material and try to change the description and save it
   it will effects the target systems material desciption will also changes
6) goto Tcode SE38 give program Name is : RBDMIDOC and Execute
   give Message type : MATMAS and Executte

Updating User Status and Status Profile for a Project

 I am creating a Project using BAPI_BUS2001_CREATE.
 which uses a structure BAPI_BUS2001_NEW for storing details of a New Project.
 It does not have fields for User Status and Status Profile , if any one of you worked on Project Systems, please tell me is there any way to update these 2 fields.
I have tried lot of FuncModules and BAPIs which deal with PROJECT CHANGE and PROJECT MODIFY but none of them has these 2 fields.
Please provide me some solution for this.

Error while creating Rough cut planning profile

Facing the following error while creating rough cut planning profile (mc35) in SOP for product group. "Work center x plant y does not exist for task list type 3". pls advise- do i need to create tsk list for product group? pls advise with tcode to be used.

pls check the (task list ) usage you have maintained in the Work center.
In OP45 , pls ensure that for the usage ,
task list type 3 (Rough cut planning profile) is included.
If it is not included there , pls include the TL type 3 for your usage and now the prob will get solved.
