Odd behaviour between 7920 and AIR-AP1231G-A-K9

To start, I'm running an AIR-AP1231G-A-K9 (12.3(4)JA) with two 7920 phones (one at ) configured using LEAP.
First issue:
I originally had my ap interface Dot11Radio0 configured with:
speed basic-1.0 basic-2.0 basic-5.5 basic-6.0 basic-9.0 basic-11.0 basic-12.0 basic-18.0 basic-24.0 basic-36.0 basic-48.0 basic-54.0
but the phone didn't like this at all, so I changed the config to:
speed basic-1.0 2.0 5.5 6.0 9.0 11.0 12.0 18.0 24.0 36.0 48.0 54.0
and everything seems ok with the ap with the speed reconfig.
Second issue:
I had to remove broadcast-key vlan 200 change 300 because the phone would lose connection to the ap after 5 minutes and couldn't reconnect. I'm assuming the phone wasn't receiving the new key...
Third Issue:
Periodically the phone will drop off the associated ap after sucessful operation and return with Authentication Failed. We receive the message:
Apr 29 12:45:40.661: Client 0013.1a4c.337b failed: Incorrect BSSID in re-assoc request
Apr 29 12:45:55.830: Client 0013.1a4c.337b failed: Incorrect BSSID in re-assoc request
on all the access points within range of the phone as the phone tries to reconnect. Periodically it will reassociate and get a message "Network Busy!!!"
Any ideas on any of these issues?
Thanks!
Stephen

For #1, 7920 is B only, so if you have G (OFDM) ratest set to mandatory then 7920 will not be able to associate. We recommend the following for a G radio as you want to optimize for 11mbps.
interface dot11radio 0
speed basic-11.0 18.0 24.0 36.0 48.0 54.0
For #2, the 7920 does support broadcast vlan change, but ensure you are using wep ciphers not tkip/ckip.
For #3, sounds like you are running 1.08 code on the 7920 where there is an issue w/ 12.3(4)JA AP code when trying to roam/reassociate. Look at CSCeg33605 at http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/voice/c_ipphon/english/wip7920/relnotes/rn109.htm#wp112162. Need to upgrade to 1.09 code, which can be downloaded at http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/tablebuild.pl/ip-7900ser-crypto.

Looking for new laptop what are the differences between pro and air? Besides size. Does the air preform like the pro?

The NEW macbook Pro and Air are EXTREMELY close in form factor
The newest macbook Pro is essentially a larger macbook Air with Retina display and options for speed in increasing prices up to an independent graphics and quad core processor.
both Air and new Pro now have PCIe SSD and permanent RAM.
The Air is the lightweight portable form factor, fast to boot and shut down, but with longer battery life than any of the macbook pro in 13"
Now the new macbook Pro and macbook Air are extremely close in form factor and nature.
    both have 802ac wifi
both have permanent RAM, no superdrive
both are slim profiles and SSD
The only real differences now are (in the most expensive Pros) faster processors and quadcore processors and top end model autonomous graphics.
....and of course the retina display
both are now "very good for travel"
Other than features the form factor of the Air and Pro are VERY close now,....so now its merely a matter of features and price more than anything.
You need an external HD regardless of what you get for backups etc.   Drop into an Apple store and handle both and make your choice based on features, such as Retina or non-retina, .... both at a distance now look like the same computer.
The Pro weighs more, ....but nowhere near what it used to just a month ago on the older macbook Pros
The NEW macbook Pro is a different creature entirely than the older macbook Pro, .....the new Pro is thicker than the Air, but id frankly call the NEWEST Pro a "macbook Air with Retina display" , or
Maybe a “macbook Air PRO with Retina display”
Instead of Air VS Pro now,.....its really a smooth transition from Air to pro without comparing say, 2 different creatures, now its like contrasting a horse from a race horse.
Either one in 8gig of RAM (preferably)... the 4gig upgrade costs very little,  the I7 you will notice only 15% faster on heavy applications over the I5, and NOTHING on most APPS.....I5 has longer battery life.
As you see below, the non-Retina 13" AIR is 82% of the Macbook with Retina display in resolution
there is no magical number of pixels per inch that automatically equates to Retina quality.

A huge internal SSD isnt a game changer for anything, you need an external HD anyway
what you WONT READ on Apple.com etc. is that the larger SSD  are MUCH FASTER due to SSD density

  • What's the relationship between Flex and AIR?

What's the relationship between Flex and AIR?
I only know that Flex is a Framework and the AIR is a runtime,
Can any one tell me more about these two object in detail, thanks a lot!

AIR is a runtime that supports a superset of the Flash Player API. You use it to run mobile and desktop applications, as opposed to browser apps.
Flex is a set of technologies for building either AIR apps or browser apps. It includes a framework of runtime classes (e.g, Button, DataGrid, etc.) to use in your applications, an SDK with a command-line compiler, and an IDE called Flash Builder (formerly Flex Builder) that supports intelligent editing, a design view, and a debugger.
So, a brief statement of their relationship is that you can use Flex to build AIR apps.

  • Sharing code between Flex and AIR versions using library project

    Hello everyone,
I'm developing an application that has both Flex and AIR versions. In order to share code between these apps, I created a library project and added all my code there. Now I've set the library project as a dependency for both Flex and AIR projects. Since there are some components that use the DataService object, I've added fds.swc and fds_rb.swc and fiber_rb.swc modules to the libs directory of the library project. No compile errors. Now, if I try to run my Flex application, I'm getting this error:
    Variable mx.data::LocalStoreFactory is not defined.
I know that this error comes up when playerfds.swc is not present in the path. But that is not the case here. I have added playerfds.swc, fds.swc and related lib files to the build path.
If I go back and add the playerfds.swc file to the original library project, the error no longer appears. This is not a proper solution for me, since I need to share this project with AIR version also, and I cannot have both playerfds.swc and airfds.swc in the same project.. Has anyone faced an issue like this before?? What am I doing wrong??

  • Difference between Flash And AIR

    Hi,
Actually, What is the difference between Flash and AIR

At a very high level, Flash Player is a plugin used by browsers to display Flash content typically hosted on a server.  AIR is a runtime that displays a superset of Flash Player content, but does so in an application format installed on the users system or device.  In addition, there are differences in how the two interact with the file system and security policies.

  • Odd difference between shadow and highlight clipping

A newly imported RAW file I started to process shows what I thought to be odd behaviour when the shadow clipping button was pressed ; initially the trunk of a tree in deep shadow showed large areas of shadow clipping , and was so mostly blue .
Then , when the Fill Light slider was pulled across from 0 to say 30 , the blue colour indicating shadow clipping started to disappear , and definite detail started to appear . Examination at 300% shows that differentiated pixels appear directly from the blue ones , and aren`t just adjacent to the blue originally .
I thought that shadow clipping was exactly analogous to highlight clipping , and that pixel info had been permanently lost from these areas , with RGB;0:0:0 , just like blown highlights .
So is the shadow clipping indication an absolute measurement , or is it somehow relative , and if so to what ? Anyone able to suggest the underlying mechanism and any answers ? Thanks in advance .
Nikon D70 NEFs into XP on an Athlon XP 2200 with 1 GB RAM .

The clipping (shadows and highlights) indicates clipping in the current rendering, not in the RAW data. If the "RAW" data is a JPEG, you can't recover highlights, just shadows. If the "RAW" data is a RAW, you can't tell from the clipping indicators if the RAW data is clipped or not. You may be able to recover using the develop tools.

  • Different behaviour between IE6 and IE on opening Office documents via KM

    Hi all,
we're in the process of rolling out Internet Explorer 7 (IE7) and noticed something unexpected when opening non-html documents from a KM navigation iview. When clicking on the links in the ivew the documents are all opened in a new window because the hyperlink / href contains "target=_blank". When the document itself is for instance an Excel document, the browser will ask wether you want to open the document or not. When you choose to open the document, Excel launches and the blank IE6 window is closed in the background. When the user is done with the document he or she will return to the portal screen.
This nice behaviour does not occur with IE7. The blank window remains open so when the user closes the Office document they are looking at an empty IE7 screen.
Is there any way to fix this by customization or even by code change? It seems to me that this is more a SAP issue because for all HTML pages and for all documents that have IE plugins such as PDF'syou want to open a new window but for the others you want only the application to be lauched, not an empty IE.

I found the solution on another site, superuser.com, so I can't claim the solution as my own, but it worked for me. Kent Ng says:
I face the similar issue with Excel 2003. If you have installed Skype-Click-to-Call, just removed it to resolve this issue.

  • Is there a conflict between Apple and Air Canada?

I am unable to make a booking with Air Canada online.
It is a 6 stage process and I get blocked trying to proceed to the 3rd stage.
1st stage is selecting a destination and chossing a date.
2nd stage is electing flights and that's as far as I get, hitting the 'Continue' button does nothing.
I've emptied the cache and cookies to no avail. Air Canada say it must be my computer.
Any suggestions, ideas etc greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

    Using Safari ??
    Try troubleshooting Safari extensions ..
From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab.
Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test.
that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.

It would really help us if you could provide the manufactuer and model number of your modem.
it's possible that another user reading this post may have the same modem and be able to help, or we can check to get specifications and support documentation online if we know what you have. As of now, I'm afraid that we know nothing.

  • Strange behaviour between standalone and enterprise

    Hi
I'v been running my app on 9.0.3 standalone for weeks now. Very stable and happy.
Now I'm trying to get this going on 9.0.3 with WebCache and HTTP server install. Also 9.0.3 on Windows 2000 Server.
The application part that I'm testing is two servlets receiving a HTTP post from within an Oracle 8.1.7 database.
The one servlet (no 1) does a lookup of EJB's depending on data received and send a XML document back.
The other servlet (no 2) submits a JMS queue entry with a MDB doing its own database action after calling EJB's.
What happens is that when servlet no 1 runs on its own, no problem.
Starting servlet 2 causes no problem until after approximately 10 minutes.
    Each handles approx 2 requests/second.
The problem condition is as follows:
Having a look at the oc4j.out file I can see the EJB Create and EJB setContext methods being called creating more and more EJB's (stateless session beans). Under normal conditions one can see the create/context and then later the remove and so on - quite normal. Under the error condition the number of EJB's just keep increasing without being removed AND without returning data! The whole server responds to the server:1810 admin interface but no user can use the system. JSP's, etc all are hanging.
The JMS bit is not using Oracle AQ but is a very primitive implementation.
This all works fine on OC4J standalone!
I had to change the JMS.xml port value from 9127 to 3201 to get it going.
Looking at the OC4J instance (I created a new one to deploy my ear files with only one VM) the number of active sessions and active requests idle at 1 to 2 but once the "error condition" starts keeps climbing as none gets processed. The number of open JDBC connections also keeps climbing. Memory usage was approx 184 Meg with Heap size at 154 Meg before.
The oc4j.err file didn't record any abnormal activity.
    Any help/ideas appreciated!!

  • Different runtime behaviour between Eclipse and ANT

I have a class which runs sucessfully in the Eclipse IDE. When I try to execute the same class with ANT, the result is invalid. Why ?
the class is an ANT task subclass, responsible to create the context of a Tomcat application....
I will drop here the two classes code, if you want to help...

ok, thanks by the prompt response...
    The scenario is the following:
The aim of my code is to generate a context used in the Tomcat application deployment - i.e., the user fills a set of parameters and then the class generates a XML with the structure expected by the Tomcat definitions...
Running the class in the Eclipse, everithyng is ok. The class ask the user about the parameters and then generates the correct XML.
Running the same class with ANT (encapsulated in a JAR) the XML result is null...

  • Inconsistent font behaviour between reflow and chrome

Having seen previous threads regarding inconsistent font behavior caused by copied and pasted text containing hidden styling tags, I tried to find a way of quickly stripping out the tags.
    Copied client text from word.
Used paste special - text only - to drop text into Dreamweaver CC design view. Entered code view and deleted invisible tags. Copied text from code view and pasted into Edge Reflow.
Styled text in Reflow - paragraph breaks, shift returns and emboldened headings. Saved and previewed in Chrome - still not showing bold headings (arial).
So, deleted text box in reflow, and redrew. Switched to Dreamweaver and copied text from code view with <p> and <br> tags as needed.
Returned to reflow and pasted into text box. Immediately black screen and no way to do anything. Had to force quit and restart from saved reflow project file.
    Same thing happens upon repeating.
What can I do to get the reflow typography to preview properly in chrome? Really frustrated by this issue.
Many thanks in advance for any suggestions...

Thanks very much for this bug. I can reproduce it on my end. I've filed it for our team to take a look at.
I'll try and update if we find a fix.

  • The difference between AIR-ANT5135D-R and AIR-ANT5135DB-R

    Hi,
Anyone know what is the difference between AIR-ANT5135D-R and  AIR-ANT5135DB-R ?
From the dynamic configuration tools for 1252 and 1242, AIR-ANT2422DB-R is inside one of the antenna option.
However, I can't find it in the "Cisco Aironet Antennas and Accessories Reference  Guide"
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/wireless/ps7183/ps469/product_data_sheet09186a008008883b.html
Inside the document there is only AIR-ANT5135D-R.
likewise for the 2.4 GHz,  AIR-ANT2422DB-R is inside the dynamic configuration tools and not inside "Cisco Aironet Antennas and Accessories Reference  Guide"
    Any help would be appreciated
    Thanks,
    Richard

Found the difference, AIR-ANT5135DB-R and       AIR-ANT2422DB-R are  non-articulating antennas.
    Thanks!
    Richard

  • Access Point(s) - AIR-AP1231G-A-K9 and others - Spotty Connectivity ...

    Hello,
We have eighteen Cisco Aironet wireless access points (most of them are AIR-AP1231G-A-K9 with 12.3(2)JA2 IOS loaded) across our campus which people have weird issues with connecting.
Everywhere, people can associate and get an IP address without any issues. However, they cannot maintain a reliable connection to systems either on our network or off. They will get a web page to load and then it drops them out. In addition, they cannot connect back again for random intervals of time. To make this even more bizarre is that for random intervals they maintain a solid connection until it kicks people out again.
The vlan itself (60 in the configuration file below) works without issue as we have devices plugged in directly to the vlan via a hardwired port and they are stable.
Below is the configuration file. Any reason why we would have this issue?
    Thank you for your time.
    Regards,
    Christopher Koeber

    Hi Christopher,
Couple of suggestions before moving forward:
    1. I would first secure these WLANs with a least a pre-shared key if possible(WPA/WPA2).  Let me know if you need information on how to do this.
    2. Next, I would remove the 'short-slot-time' on the radio:
    config terminal
    interface do0
    no short-slot-time
    end
If your users continue to have issues, I would want more information on the types of clients in the environment as well as wireless adapter make/model/driver version.
