Office 365 ODT Error

Hi All,I am running the Office Deployment Tool with Office 365 in Download mode from an elevated CMD to get the latest install/update files for my local source. It is downloading the first 5 items without issue, but when it gets to "Downloading file http.../stream.x86.x-none.dat", it immediately throws the error below, and the file does not get downloaded:TextERROR: bad allocation.Quitting!Does anyone have any idea what is going wrong? There seems to be no instances of this in a google search. I have been able to successfully download this in the past. There is over a TB of free space on the destination drive.
Here is the whole process:

Hi,
It will be great if you can provide the entire error message/log so that we can understand you clearly.
If Outlook is running while Office 365 desktop setup is attempting to configure Outlook, the configuration will fail. To correct this issue, close Outlook and run Office 365 desktop setup again.
Thanks,

  • Office 365 API, error: The token has invalid value 'roles' for the claim type ''

    Hi guys,
I am trying to develop a Daemon / Server application using the new Office 365 APIs. I have added a new application to Azure Active Directory. I am using cURL + the app ID and secret to get a JWT token, this is the exact request:
    curl -X POST https://login.windows.net/TENANT_KEY/oauth2/token \
    -F redirect_uri=http://spreadyDaemon \
    -F grant_type=client_credentials \
    -F resource=https://outlook.office365.com/ \
    -F client_id=XXXX \
    -F client_secret=XXXX=
I get back a JWT however it has no scopes for access set here is the decoded JWT claims:
    "ver": "1.0",
    "aud": "https://outlook.office365.com/",
    "iss": "https://sts.windows.net/TENANT_KEY/",
    "oid": "17fa33ae-a0e9-4292-96ea-24ce8f11df21",
    "idp": "https://sts.windows.net/TENANT_KEY/",
    "appidacr": "1",
    "exp": 1415986833,

I have asked a stack overflow question here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/26950838/office-365-api-error-the-token-has-invalid-value-roles-for-the-claim-type
Any help on the matter will be hugely appreciated, thanks!

    Hi Manu,
To wrap this thread up; I have had an answer on stack overflow.
It appears that currently the grant type client_credentials is not supported, according to a comment on this blog post by Matthias' http://blogs.msdn.com/b/exchangedev/archive/2014/03/25/using-oauth2-to-access-calendar-contact-and-mail-api-in-exchange-online-in-office-365.aspx
"There is no way in the code flow to avoid username/password. We're working on a client credential flow for later this fall that will give you the functionality required to run background services. For this you will not need a username/password,
but the application will directly assert its identity and authenticate as itself."
Unfortunately I require client_credentials for a daemon process, Q4 is the scheduled release for support for this grant time.
    Thanks for the help,
    Nick

  • Office 365 University Error Opening All Products

I am a student at OTC in Springfield, MO. I just purchased Office 365 University Edition today, as it is required for my courses. So, it took forever to download, because my internet is slow. When it was finally done, I could not open any of the programs,
when I tried, I received a message saying, "Windows detected an error with Word, Excell, PP, etc..", then forced me to close my programs. After hours of research on the forums here, I discovered the culprit was a program that came with my Epson printer,
ABBYY-FineReader... I can't even begin to understand why that program would keep me, and everyone else, from using our Office products we paid for. It is extremely frustrating, and time consuming to fix, if you don't know the issue right away. All I
am here to say is, everyone who purchases Office 365/Office 2013 or any other Office product, needs to be informed about this issue, because a lot of people have Epson printers, and not many people would think to research this online like I did. I really hope
for your company's sake, that your team can make a conscious effort to inform people of this problem, to save huge frustration, and I am more than certain, unnecessary returns of your product. I am sure you can understand this request, and I am sure you have
all seen how many people are having this issue, many of which were left unresolved, and most likely returned the product. Thank you for your time.

    Hi,
    Thanks for your post.
For a start-up issue of Office applications, usually, you can start the troubleshooting with the
safe mode or Windows clean boot
    to narrow down the issue.
If issue persists, please post back with more informations, then we will have a further investigation.
I definitely understand the frustration you are having with it and thanks for your feedback. Whenever you have any questions about our products, you can post in the dedicated forum. Our engineers will try their best to help you out.
Thank you and much appreciate your understanding.
    Thanks,

So I setup an Exchange Hybrid Environment in an attempt to migrate mailboxes to Office 365. I'm performing my first test migration and so far it's running, very slow but it's running. I keep seeing this error in the migration job and I'm guessing it's slowing

Do you have any firewall appliance or TMG between Exchange Onpremises and Online? I've seen this issue multiple times with TMG.
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd441028.aspx, with other firewall appliances look for the same kind of configuration.
Also be sure you have enough resources (cores and memory) available.

  • Office 365 - Outlook error message when sending an email

Error Message: "The operation failed. The message interfaces have returned an unknown error. If the problem persists restart Outlook." By simply recreating a new email with the same message I am able to send. In most cases there are a lot of
attachments that I must search for because I cannot copy & paste attachments from the old email to the new. I have other goofy problems with Outlook but want to deal with this first as it is very time consuming rebuilding these emails.

    Hi,
Please create a new Outlook profile for your account to check whether the issue persists. If it works well in the new profile. The issue should be caused by Outlook Data Files corrupting. To create a new Outlook profile, please refer to:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/829918/en-us
If the issue continues in new profile, please restart Outlook in safe mode(Start > Run > Outlook /safe) to check whether the issue is caused by any third-party add-ins.

    Hi Amr,
I am able to download stream.x86.en-us.dat on my machine. See the screenshot below:
As per the log and your screenshot, I'm thinking it might be an issue with your network. I would suggest you try this within a different network and see if issue persists.
Also, please check your firewall or antivirus software, make sure that they are not blocking any Office 365 URLs and IP addresses:

    Hope this helps.

I don't think it is permissions as I have seen on some forums because the share has read/execute permissions for domain users and domain computers

    Hi,
Are you deploying Office 365 with the latest Office Deployment Tool? Try to download the latest version of ODT from below link, then try again:
    http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=36778
A similar issue was resolved here, you might want to have a look:

BTW, Microsoft Office 365 Community > Forums > Deploy Office 365

It's recommended to download and install
Configuration Analyzer Tool (OffCAT), which is developed by Microsoft Support teams. Once the tool is installed, you can run it at any time to scan for hundreds of known issues in Office
    programs.

  • Error while executing script for sharepoint online (office 365) - the remote server returned an error: (503) server unavailable

error while executing script for sharepoint online (office 365) - the remote server returned an error: (503) server unavailable.
I am creating many site collections reading records from sharepoint list using powershell in sharepoint online tenant (office 365).
Few site collections are created and then getting above error so this error record will be skipped then few succeeding record processed then again getting error.
    pattern is like:
    success
    success
    success
    success
    Error
    success
    success
    success
    success
    success
    success
    error
    success

    Hi,
As it is an online environment, to troubleshoot this issue in an easier way, I suggest you contact Office 365 Support to see if there is any useful information in
the log files in the server side:

  • Error while saving a workflow via sharepoint designer Office 365: Server-side activities have been updated. You need to restart SharePoint Designer to use the updated version of activities

    Hi,
I get the above error whenever I try to save a new WorkFlow. I have cleared the caches
    <user profile>\appdata\roaming\microsoft\SharePoint Designer\ProxyAssemblyCache
    <user profile>\appdata\local\microsoft\websitecache\<sitename>, and
I still get the same issue.
We are using SharePoint Designer 2013 (15.0.4569.1503) and connecting to SharePoint 2013 on Office 365.
Can you please provide more insight?
    Thanks.

    Hi Rake,
You can compare your PC and another machine which is working, see if it is related to IE settings(e.g. SharePoint urls in trusted sites zone).
And you can try re-install the SharePoint Designer 2013 with same version and bit-version(32/64) on your PC like another machine, then check again.
    Thanks,

  • Error Extending 2012 R2 AD Schema for Exchange 2013 RTM/CU6/CU7 (for Office 365 attributes)

    Hello all,
I am a sysadmin at a 3 campus school, and am trying to extend our AD schema to include Exchange 2013 attributes so that we can configure groups synced to Office 365 using DirSync. However it keeps failing at the same point each time.
I have tried with RTM first, and then CU6, but I keep getting the same error and am unsure how to fix it.
"repadmin /showrepl" says that our 3 DCs are replicating with no issues, and I'm trying to extend the schema using an "Enterprise Admin"/"Schema Admin" account on our schema master DC.
Our domain/forest functional level is Server 2008R2, and we do not have an Exchange server set up already - if that helps.
    The PowerShell error is:
    PS C:\Users\rbbr\Desktop\Exchange> .\setup /PrepareSchema /IAcceptExchangeServerLicenseTerms

The Exchange Server setup operation didn't complete. More details can be found in ExchangeSetup.log located in the

The schema attribute "CN=ms-DS-GeoCoordinates-Altitude,CN=Schema,CN=Configuration,DC=kurnai,DC=lan" does exist in the schema, but I don't know what to do or where to go from here.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I just tried .\setup /PrepareAD /OrganizationName:kurnaicollege /IAcceptExchangeServerLicenseTerms, and got the exact same error as above.
Is there a way to delete the offending schema attributes, or to force its overwrite or something?
EDIT: I am also getting these eventvwr errors when running /PrepareAD, if it helps:

  • Time out error after redirection (ADFS-Office 365 SSO)

    Hi everyone,
I've been having a problem with configuring ADFS and Office 365 SSO. So Everything is setup and signing into office 365 from the internal network works perfectly but when trying to access from the external network I get timed out. A brief overview
    of my setup:
    LAN------>Firewall---------->Firewall------>Internet
                       |
                     DMZ
    LAN network: 192.168.50.0/24
    DC-DNS, RODC-DNS, ADFS1-ADFS2 (NLB), DIRSYNC.
    DMZ: 172.16.50.0/24
ADFS Proxy1-ADFS Proxy 2 (NLB) (NLB IP: 172.16.50.225)
    Firewall-Firewall: 10.10.10.0/24
    Internal Firewall: Inside: 192.168.50.254/Outside: 10.10.10.2
External Firewall: Inside: 10.10.10.1/Outside: 172.31.130.83 (working in a class lab with my universities private network)
Our network engineering department has its own firewall, I was given a Public IP address of 199.50.X.X that port forwards both port 80 and 443 to the outside interface of the external firewall (172.31.130.83)
The internal firewall allows outgoing and incoming connections from anywhere for troubleshooting the issue. The External Firewall has been configured portforward both port 80 and 443 to the adfs proxy NLB address.
Other firewall configurations such as NAT and static routes have been configured correctly.
I've updated the public DNS records, the A record for my ADFS from the public IP address godaddy assigned to my public domain to the public IP given to me (199.50.X.X). I added the adfs server internal IP and name to the adfs proxy host files and DNS resolution
is working both internal and externally.
Using a domain-joined computer and user I am able to sign into office 365 with no problems. The problem starts when I try to access from an external device. When entering a domain user email at the office portal, it tries to redirect me to my adfs proxy
but after a minute or so it fails to load my internal adfs login page and using google chrome I see a timeout error.
Checked event viewer on both adfs and adfs proxy servers and nothing is showing up, checked my firewalls and everything seems to be working fine, I also confirmed that the faculty's firewall is receiving and forwarding correctly through ports 443 and 80
(my external firewall also shows the same results).
Any help would appreciated, been troubleshooting for more than  week and pretty much out of options other than starting over.
    Thank you.
    Moe.

If a phone is sold from one friend to another and wants to use it on a different carrier the friend can contact the carrier it was sold by to request it unlocked.  I know AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint will give you the steps to unlock it as long as the original contract it was bought under has been completed.  eBay/Craigslist is really not the best place to try to get "unlocked phones" from, if it turns out the phone isn't unlocked then I'm really sorry you got stuck with that one and as stevejobsfan said above I would report them immediately and see if you can recover your money.  I sell phones for a living and this happens a lot

  • "perfboost.exe" error during Office 365 Pro Plus Patch Update (via SCCM)

When deploying a newer version of Office 365 Pro Plus to a client machine a pop-up appears with a error message as shown below:
Things I've done to rectify include:
Re-downloading Office & Redistributing before retry
Re-imaged computer to ensure a fresh build.
The installation continues until completion.  After checking the Office i can see it is updated to the newer build version.
However as this is to be used in the corporate environment i cannot have this error message appear.  I'm sure i cannot be the only one to experience this.
    Any advice is appreciated!

    Hi,
Appvisvsubsystems32.dll is a type of DLL file associated with Microsoft Application Virtualization.
This might happen due to invalid or corrupt  Appvisvsubsystems32.dll registry entry or another program overwriting the version or uninstalling the Dll file.
Mostly such issues can be rectified by manually registering the Appvisvsubsystems32.dll using the Regsvr32 tool.
I did follow a weblink to resolve this issue, which might help you aswell.
    Try it...

  • Error occurred querying a data source in office 365.

I have created a simple infopath form and in one of my dropdown box  i am receiving the REST services.
when i run the infopath form 2013 in preview it was running good but when i upload it on to office 365 cloud it's showing me error. i had converted the services into UDL and save it on Data connection Library and it's approved.

    Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you got error when querying a data source in office 365.
Per my knowleadge, we cannot connect to SharePoint Web Services from InfoPath Forms within SharePoint Online.
Loopback protection is enabled on the SharePoint Online environment and will block calls to SOAP and REST from InfoPath Form Services.
For more information, you can refer to:
Error message when you connect an InfoPath form to a SharePoint Online web service: "An error occurred while connecting to a Web Service"
As a workaround, to look up data for some dropdowns from several external REST Web Services, we need to have a Data Connection library in your Site Collection in which to store the UDCX files.
    The steps seem to be:
Create a Data Connection Library in your Site Collection
In the InfoPath ribbon, go to Data, then Data Connections. Your existing data connections should be listed.
Choose the data connection which is hosted on a different domain.
    Clink the
    Convert to  Connection File… button
In the location selector, specify the path to the Data Connection Library you created above.
    Leave the
Relative to  site collection (recommended) radio button selected.
    Click OK
