Palm please please please when will you add classic to European store??
The wait is now becoming disheartening....... As new palm user I spent hundreds of $$s on apps I cannot use with no resolution in site.... Not only that but what of the loyal palm supporters in EU left high and dry????? Please can you say something and act on this issue.

I have also purchased Classic and cannot get to it to download it. It's advertised on the palm.com site but is not in the App catalog. I also have a load of purchased programs from my treo and would like to continue using them until they become natively available on WebOS (if at all).
My Pre is in the UK with an O2 contract.
Would it be worth me flying to the States, downloading it there and then flying back?

Do a search on the forum I remember seeing a few links pertaining to this. The link above is from Creative Knowledgebase showing connectivity options for the X-fi's. Creative doesn't sell the cables so of course they will be of no assistance and would not support it. They were?no help in my case and I had to figure it out on my own.

With all due respect to the resident experts on this Blackberry hosted forum who provide a lot of help.
As a currently unsatisfied owner of a Z10 I am wondering if Blackberry would post an official response to some of the serious faults in the Z10.
There seems to be a steady stream of posts that reflect the frustration and disappointment of some very loyal customers. Unofficial rumors of updates circulate for weeks without any action.
My own disappointments are;
Inability to have an Auto BCC function as was available on previous models.This is not a feature that I can activate on my server.
Garbled text in sent emails.
This is a major problem.
Emails appearing as opened when they had not been opened at any time.
causes the odd missed email.
Lack of 2 way sync with my desktop MS Outlook.
The 1 way patch is a start.
My phone is primarily used for business which means that my new Z10 has been stored in my desk drawer for three weeks now while I resort back to my old obsolete Curve.
These problems and others listed on the forum appear to cross over carriers and countries.
Is there a fix for these email related problems coming before the Q10 release in North America?

Regular expression for http response/request

Hi. I need to use reg. ex. to parse a file that contains a list of http requests and responses. The requests and responses may or may not include a message body. My regular expression to detect a response is as follows:

The first two lines works perfectly to detect the response initial line and headers. The last line reads the message body, but does not work when the response has an empty message body. My logic is to read everything after the headers until the next response or request. This logic works when there is a message body.
As a result, the above reg. ex. produce the following result as one response, but should be two separate responses.

It would help if we could see the actual regexes instead of those variable names. But you might try this:RESPONSE_STATUS_LINE_REG_EX + CRLF +

"(?:(?!(" + RESPONSE_STATUS_LINE_REG_EX + ")|(" + REQUEST_LINE_REG_EX + ")).*" + CRLF + ")*";This way, the negative lookahead is appied at the beginning of each line, then the whole line is consumed. Without knowing more, I can't tell if this will do what you want, but at least it should fail more efficiently. :P

Ok... Since the new forum came about I haven't had too many ideas for new features and the ones I've had weren't that complicated... But now I've got a good one and I was wondering if there was still an official place to submit feature requests for Audition? I don't see a link anywhere so is this it now? Do we have to make it public?

T43 Vertical Scrolling Problem (not just Firefox)- Any official response from Lenovo

After searching the forum, i have not been able to find any response from Lenovo as to how to correct this problem.
Incidentally, my "occasional" vertical scrolling problem occurs in any browser, IE7, Firefox3, Opera9 (at least those 3) as well as Windows applications with a vertical scroll bar like Windows Explorer.
This only started to occur very randomly around 6 months ago. But as of late it is occuring more often.

might indicate that it is a possible hardware problem.
However, I have to say that I rarely use the laptop scrolling buttons and 99.9% of the time, latetly, I use a Logitech laser USB mouse for scrolling purposes.
As another possible work-around (if you are using an external mouse) is to uncheck the enable virtual scrolling in the touchpad properties window.
I certainly hope it is not a hardware problem, as the warranty on my T43 ran out a long time ago.
btw, I am running Windows XP Pro XP3.

Local video files on native player - any examples or official response?

Sorry to bring this up again as there are several posts in this forum asking the same questions but I figured now that Packager for iPhone is once again being actively supported it would be a good time to try and get some clarification.
Playing local video files on the iPhone/Pad's native video player is a well documented feature of the packager but one that I have yet to get working or even see an example of. There are quite a few posts here and elsewhere with people asking how to get this feature working, especially with reference to the navigateToURL() function as described in the developer guide.
Has anyone ever managed to get this feature working and are there any examples of code using navigateToURL() which have been successful for anyone? If not could one of the Adobe reps on this board give a response just to clarify if H.264 video playback is working as intended and documented.
Many thanks for any incoming responses, I have been very happy to hear the news from Apple/Adobe over the last few days and getting this feature working would top off a few days of good news!

I've tried that with no luck. Here's a screenshot of the app. You can see the many ways I've tried to play video files and it just doesn't work the way you suggested, or the way the documentation suggests. What am I doing wrong? Or does it just not work since no one can seem to get it to work?

All my home computers were stollen in a burglary at the beginning of the year, My insurer is willing to replace my copy of CS with a copy of CS6, since I have the receipt for the original purchase. However, they need an email from Adobe to say that I cannot install my copy of CS, I have the disks etc. on the macbook pro with mavericks that they have bought me as a replacement for my old laptop. How do I get a response from Adobe? Every way that I try to get an email from Adobe I get either no response at all or I get directed to this forum...

My theory about lack of official response to 3G reception problem

If it's a real problem I think Apple isn't responding because then it would make news everywhere. If it can be fixed with a firmware upgrade then the problem goes away on it's own without having to acknowledge anything. Sure, there will be the few (relatively speaking) people who know they had the problem, but nobody will care once it's resolved.
I actually think the lack of a response might be a good thing because they think they can fix it in firmware. If they can't fix it with a firmware upgrade then they are just digging a deeper hole with every new iPhone they sell.
Of course, my theory could be totally wrong. But in a way I think it makes sense.

Its not the signal strength showing on the display but the dropped calls that are the real concern for people.

Droid Incredible 4G LTE - Ridiculous bloatware killing phone (Staff response requested)

Before you even read all of it, please tell me if I'm barking up the wrong tree, and where I need to go to get an answer to this.
My question is: Why can't I uninstall default apps I don't want?
I was given a Droid Incredible 4G LTE for Christmas to replace my 4 year old Droid Eris, and while I really really like this phone, its battery life is an issue. So my first thought is, "keep the brightness down, install a task killer and see if that helps." Hardly. My battery life has gone from 6 to around 8 hours of minimal use, so I've done some more digging around. Looking around the advanced task killer app on my incredible 4g LTE, I am appalled at how many forced applications and services are on this phone, AND how they start up randomly and cannot be stopped. I have multiple examples prepared after only owning this phone for three days.
First off, what in the world is the deal with this forced bloatware? NFL Mobile, Amazon Kindle, TuneIn and Slacker radio, Amazon MP3, Verizon Tones, Google+, etc. These apps cannot be uninstalled, and many of them open automatically upon startup and slow the phone/eat battery life. Ex: slacker radio, google+, Amazon MP3 opens whenever I open my music. I can't even disable them without having to root my phone and use an app freezer, and I can't even do that because Verizon refuses to release an HTCDev unlocker for the 4G LTE. (but I can sort of understand that for people taking advantage of the 4g capability)
Why in the world would anyone think that this was a good idea?
I fully read the terms and conditions of my contract to ensure that this wasn't included, and after nearly an hour, Verizon does not reserve any right to manage a user's personal applications against their will, only the phone's operating system. I don't want NFL Mobile, Amazon Kindle, TuneIn and Slacker radio, Amazon MP3, Verizon Tones or Google+, and I have no way to uninstall or disable them. That is RIDICULOUS. I even have an option to defer from software/firmware updates, the fact that I can't remove these unwanted applications is insulting.
Also, some other examples:
4 instances of Google Maps open at once for no apparent reason. I don't have anything (weather widget, clock, weather lock screen) that warrants google maps or location services needing to open. What in the world is going on there?
My bluetooth service cannot be force stopped.
My Notes (two instances of this app open) and Calender applications open randomly; although I intend to keep and use these apps, this is very annoying.
Facebook opens randomly for no apparent reason.

The DROID Incredible 4G LTE should already be running either Android 4.0+ for its operations system. Which means you can disable many of the pre-installed applications. Go to settings > Apps > slide to the All view. Disable each application individually. You might have to uninstall any updates before the disable button is available.
The DROID Eris is only three years old. It was released in November 2009. 12 minus 9 equals 3.

Apple's First Official Response on FCPX

Well, I found this on the Apple website today. It's an FAQ addressing some overall concerns by the pro market. Now I'm not exactly a pro yet, but if I try to jump in a pros shoes, unfortunately this doesn't give me much promise. It does say some good things, but it's a lot of "yes you can do these tasks actually" (but, these aren't actual real concerns or are things that are trivial - for example, they mention you can import media from previous versions of FCP into FCPX....well, duh.) and a lot of "we'll have 3rd parties be able to do it" (which, I'd prefer Apple to say we'll take care of it ourselves).

Here are some highlights:
According to Apple, there is no way to translate FCP7 projects to FCPX without losing data. Not very definitive, but it sounds like Apple will not be working on a converter. I suppose. Hard to tell
FCP7 will work with Mac OSX Lion
Apple and Camera Manufactuers are working together to add more camera support for the 64bit FCPX.
Sounds like no tape deck support will be done, as they refer to AJA and Blackmagic for this
FCPX WILL have a Multicam feature in "the next major release"
Developers of 3rd party programs will need to update their software to support the 64bit FCPX
Sounds like Apple wants you to keep scratch disks for render files, and the project files, in the same married location to make it easier to move. (But sad day for me, I'd personally like to keep these seperate!)
On the ability to export to XML: "Not yet, but we know how important XML export is to our developers and our users, and we expect to add this functionality to Final Cut Pro X. We will release a set of APIs in the next few weeks so that third-party developers can access the next-generation XML in Final Cut Pro X." So XML will be supported, but it sounds like 3rd party rather than Apple will be doing it... Automatic Duck has something you can use now
Once those XML APIs are released, 3rd parties will be able to release support for OMF, AAF, EDL, and other exchange formats

Apple mentions "the next major release" and a "an update this summer" I wonder if they are one in the same, and if Multicam will come later this summer.
So, I think the biggest thing for me personally is the multicam support which would be huge for me. Unfortunately however, this seemed more of an "Apple Defense" rather than going: "Hey let's collaborate a little bit." I know a lot of people including me want better FCPX/Motion5 round-trip support, or maybe the ability to change scratch disk locations indepedent of project file locations. I know these little things are probably trivial to other things in the pro world, but again it's that attitude of let's definitely do it our way and add a few features vs. hey lets listen to specifics and add them in if it will make people happier.
Oh well, what are your guys thoughts?

Are any of you that make a living using FCS 3 successfully using 10.6.3? Any problems that you've not been able to overcome? Any advice? I'm almost finished with a project and am considering doing a clean install of 10.6.3 and moving to a HD workflow including hardware.

Had more issues with the last pro apps update. Qmaster and Compressor are much less stable.
I'm probably due for a clean erase and reinstall. It's been a while.

How do I read the XML string using Http response/request?

The above XML string will be send back by one of the payment gateway.
How do I retrieve all the attribute name and value from the XML string so that it can be stored in my database?

Immediate Response Requested - Please

Right now I'm creating creating a disk image on my Time Capsule, and since it's not connected by ethernet (my bad) it is going painfully slow. I will have to leave and take my MacBook Pro to work with me.
1. What will happen to this disk image which is being created if I shut down my MacBook and take it with me?
2. What will happen if I press the Cancel button?
3. Is there anyway I can pick up where I left off when I return home?

You have given no indication of the software.. do you mean Time Machine .. or Disk Utility or something else.
If you have to stop you have to..
TM can pick up a stopped backup usually.

Start the backup again by ethernet.. with wireless off.. it will be so much faster even if you have to erase and start over.. which I would do btw.. the quality of the first backup is key to its integrity for TM.
