Offline Distribution password problem

Hi,
We are using 5.1 SP2 (with Patch 1) and have created an input schedule to be used offline.
The problem we are facing is that whenever we use Workbook options (under eTools) to set a password and then try to generate a list of reports based on our entity dimension all of the reports remain unchanged with functions such as EVDES being seen in the offline schedule as EVDES rather than EV_DES which of course returns an error when opened without BPC for Excel.  Once we remove the password the process works and the functions are then changed to their offline versions (such as EV_DES) but of course this schedule is no longer protected.
Has anyone come across this before and if so how did you resolve it? ... any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks
Kind Regards,
Jonathan

I have not seen this before.  I'd suggest the following: Go into appshell and create and input schedule from one of the template wizards.  Set the password protection in eTools and then run it throught the off-line distributor.  If you get the same results there, then you've hit a bug and should open a ticket with Global Support.  If you cannot reproduce it there, then it's something specifc to you input.
Another thing you could try if you are using a complex password (e.g. letters, numbers, and special characters) is try a simple one (e.g. test) and see if that works.

  • BPC75NW: Offline Distribution of reports does not work in Schedule mode

    Hello BPC experts,
    I'm new in SAP world.
    I have the following problem.
In BPC 7.50.06 NW I'm trying to adjust the distribution on e-mail to schedule.
I set up Distribution List. When I start the Offline Distribution Wizard -> Distribute Now all works without problems.
The problem starts when I start the Offline Distribution Wizard in the Schedule mode. All the settings I do the same as at "Distribute Now".
Then I set the report should be sent daily, starting with 13.10.2011, indicating the Start Time. As a System password I'm pointing my domain password (I  know no other passwords).
At the time specified in the Start Time nothing happens, i.e. the schedule does not work.
Tell me, please, if faced with a similar problem, how it can be solved?
Thank you for your help, this is greatly appreciated.

    Moved to .NET SDK forum.
Search here, lots of post on IIS and setting Printer Access Permissions for your application.
Also search MSDN on what is required to for IIS to access local Printers.
Also search for ActiveX Controls and Browser permissions, you'll likely have problems there also since most Browsers will not or do not recommend allowing any ActiveX control.

  • Schedule Offline Distribution

    Hello BPC experts,
I am trying to schedule an offline distribution list. I could successfully  create the list and it works fine when I press "distibute now". But when I choose "schedule" instead it doesn't.
In the schedule tab one has to provide the system password. I guess this is the adminsitrator password but I am not sure. Later on after clicking on "process" one has to provide logon information again. I failed to provide correct information, it always says "invalid credentials". Could someone please clarify what logon information is required here?
The generated windows schedule entry is C:\PROGRA1\SAPBUS1\PC_MS\PublishBatch.exe EYBL_PLANNING_Off.XML
I guess there is some logon information missing. The batch starts but nothing happens. The XML file looks ok to me.
    Best regards,
    Florian

    Hi Florian,
Did you check SAP Notes 1522096? It could be linked to your problem.
    Hope this will help.

  • Offline Distribution Wizard

    Hi!
We have problem with the "Distribute and Collect Offline Data" function.
All the  parameters SMTPAUTH, SMTPPASSWORD, SMTPPORT, SMTPSERVER and
SMTPUSER are all set and works fine (E-mail notification function is
    working)
But something doesn´t work when we try to distribute reports via
Offline Distribution Wizard. We have entered an E-mail adress
(xxx.yyy) in the VARYKEYS section in the Distrubutionlist
but when run the Offline Distribution Wizard we can see that it is
trying to send the E-mail to bpc.media.lanxxx.yyy and that doesn´t work.
"bpc.media.lan" is the name of our BPC server so why is that used in
the E-mail adress in the Offline Distribution Wizard?
    Regards
    Fredrik

    Hi,
After several test, the offline distribution features work at last.
:Assuming the email notification in admin console and email notification in BPF are working just fine.**
In VARKEYS under userID try to use the values that can be found in the owner property of your driver dimension
    for example under entity dimension:
    ID                   OWNER                   REVIEWER
    XXXX            abc.com\user1        abc.com\manager1
in your distribution list under VARKEYS
    !VARKEYS
    ENTITY         USERID
    XXXX           abc.com\user1
by doing so, it will use your smpt server and not the webserver.
    Hope this helps.

  • Help with resetting the Offline Payment Password (OP Password)

I sent the email to [email protected] referenced in KB: http://kb.worldsecuresystems.com/939/cpsid_93902.html though I have not received a text message to the phone number supplied.
Our site is nosillaorganics.com, we are a client of BigTurns.....Can someon help us get this moving please?
Recap of the issue we're facing:
We use offline credit card processing and cannot retrieve the PDF Secure Passphrase so in effect cannot process any orders....it's kind of a problem. :-)
When we try to access the PDF Secure Passphrase we receive the message: "Your Offline Payment Password (OP Password) is overdue. For security reasons, you must change it every 90 days. To access this area, you must login using your OP Password."
We have the choice to Cancel or Continue...when we hit continue.....we go to the OP login screen and it asks us to enter the old OPP though it doesn't actually work because we always get the following error upon submit:
"Your offline payment session has been temporarily restricted due to too many failed login attempts. Your account will automatically unlock shortly; there is no need to contact customer support." however it has been over 5 days and the account is still locked!

    Hello Charles,
    Thank you for contacting us.
In order to reset the OPP you would need to follow the steps mentioned in the article :http://kb.worldsecuresystems.com/939/cpsid_93902.html
You would need to send the documents to the e-mail address mentioned and then the password is sent to you via text message.
    Hope this helps.

  • I have a password problem. After importing data and settings from one MacBook Pro to a new one, I have to put my iCloud password in when re-starting, but the password from the old computer in when waking the computer from sleep.

I have a password problem. After importing data and settings from one MacBook Pro to a new one, I have to put my iCloud password in when re-starting the new computer, but the password from the old computer in when waking the computer from sleep. I want to use my iCloud password on both computers consistently. How can I fix this?

The only other place to change a password for the computer login is in Users & Groups preferences. But I don't really know enough here to fix your problem. You can try fixing the keychain:
iCloud- Frequently asked questions about iCloud Keychain
    Tutorial: Resolving Keychain Issues
If you can't access your keychain, or forget your password If you can't get into your keychain file because you've forgotten your password or the keychain file appears to be corrupt, there are a couple of options.
First, if you've forgotten your password, you can use the "Keychain First Aid" utility to make the keychain password the same as the login password. This can be accomplished via the following process:
      1. Open Keychain Access (located in Applications/Utilities)
      2. Go to the "Keychain Access" menu and select "Preferences"
      3. Click the "First Aid" tab
      4. Make sure the "Synchronize login keychain password" box is checked
      5. Close the Preferences window
      6. Go to the "Keychain Access" menu and select "Keychain First Aid"
      7. Enter your username and password
      8. Click the "Repair" button
The second option is to completely delete your keychain then recreate it. This routine is useful if your keychain appears to be corrupt or otherwise inaccessible. This can be accomplished as follows:
      1. Launch Keychain Access (located in Applications/Utilities)
      2. Click "Show Keychains" in the lower-left corner of the window.
      3. Select the problematic keychain from the left-hand pane.
      4. Navigate to the "File" menu and select "Delete Keychain '(name of keychain)'"
      5. Check all options for deletion and press "OK"
      6. Create a new keychain by going to the "File" menu, then "New" and selecting
          "New Keychain"
      7. You can now make this keychain your default if you desire by selecting it, then
going to the "File" menu and selecting "Make '(name of keychain)' Default"
Login as root and perform repair In some cases, problems with keychains can only be resolved when logged in as the root user.
First, you want to enable the root user:
      1. OS X Mountain Lion: Enable and disable the root user
      2. OS X Lion: Enable and disable the root user
      3. Mac OS X 10.6: Enabling the root user
      4. Enabling and using the "root" user in Mac OS X
After enabling the root user, and logging in under this account, again open Keychain Access. First attempt repairs using Keychain First Aid, and failing that, delete then recreate the keychain as described above while logged in as root.
Persistently asked for stored passwords If you are persistently asked for passwords in various applications that you have specified should be remembered in a keychain, your "login" keychain may not be active for one reason or another.
Navigate to ~/Library/Keychains/ (this is the Library folder inside your user's home folder). Find the file named "login.keychain" and double-click it.
Failing that, select the "login" keychain within the Keychain Access application and make sure it is the default keychain by going to the "File" menu and selecting "Make 'Login' Default"
Turn off Keychain synchronization in applications having problems If specific applications are experiencing issues when accessing password-protected material, the Keychain may be to blame.
The above comes from an article published on MacFixit.com.

  • WRT110 WIFI password problem

    Hi Everyone,
I've got a very strange problem.  First, I indicated WPA under Wireless Security section and typed in my passphrase.  However when connecting to my wireless network name my passphrase never worked.  Second, I completely disabled security and tried to simply connect without any passphrase, but I was still being asked for a passphrase nonetheless.  I checked and double-checked and saved settings making sure security was disabled, but I was still being asked for a passphrase when choosing my wireless network!
I could probably restore my WRT110 to factory settings, however I don't want to loose other configurations like certain open ports and IP addresses I opened up for firewall.
Is there a way for me to resolve my WiFI password problem without restoring to factory default?  I just need to figure out how to make the WiFi passpharse work.  Here's what I have there:
    Security Mode: WPA Personal
    Encryption: TKIP
    Passphrase: 0sunspot0
    Key Renewal: 3600 seconds
However, when I pick my wireless network and try to connect to it by typing in 0sunspot0, I get authentication failure!
    Am I doing something wrong?
    Thanks,
    Victor.

  • Sys password problem "INSUFFICIENT PRIVELEGES"

    hi,
This is with refernece to my earlier post, i can now login as a DBA thry OS authentication.
    Re: sys password problem
but now i try to vreate a new password file and it successfully created using orapwd....
but when i try to login as a sys user thru oracle authentication i couldn't because i am getting an error
    "INSUFFICIENT PRIVELEGES"
and another thing i would like to know do i have to shutdown the database or not for the same.

Please review the document link sent earlier
    Setting REMOTE_LOGIN_ PASSWORDFILE
In addition to creating the password file, you must also set the initialization parameter REMOTE_LOGIN_PASSWORDFILE to the appropriate value. The values recognized are:
NONE: Setting this parameter to NONE causes Oracle Database to behave as if the password file does not exist. That is, no privileged connections are allowed over nonsecure connections.
EXCLUSIVE: (The default) An EXCLUSIVE password file can be used with only one instance of one database. Only an EXCLUSIVE file can be modified. Using an EXCLUSIVE password file enables you to add, modify, and delete users. It also enables you to change the SYS password with the ALTER USER command.
SHARED: A SHARED password file can be used by multiple databases running on the same server, or multiple instances of a Real Application Clusters (RAC) database. A SHARED password file cannot be modified. This means that you cannot add users to a SHARED password file. Any attempt to do so or to change the password of SYS or other users with the SYSDBA or SYSOPER privileges generates an error. All users needing SYSDBA or SYSOPER system privileges must be added to the password file when REMOTE_LOGIN_PASSWORDFILE is set to EXCLUSIVE. After all users are added, you can change REMOTE_LOGIN_PASSWORDFILE to SHARED, and then share the file.
This option is useful if you are administering multiple databases or a RAC database.
If REMOTE_LOGIN_PASSWORDFILE is set to EXCLUSIVE or SHARED and the password file is missing, this is equivalent to setting REMOTE_LOGIN_PASSWORDFILE to NONE.

  • Offline Distribution WIzard - Custom Formatting of Body of Email Possible?

The body of the email in the Offline Distribution Wizard is just Plain Text. Is there anyway to change some settings to use HTML or some nice formatting in the Body of the email via the Offline Distribution Wizard?

I'm assuming you set up the gmail account on the iPod using the special gmail configuration (when you first set up a new account, one of the choices for the type of account is gmail).
I had to reset my gmail account last night, deleting it and redefining it (for reasons other than your issue) and by default, I get "inbox", "drafts" "Sent Mail", and "Trash". You might try deleting your account on iPod and redefining it - it's quick and doesn't affect your email status.

  • Password Problem for some applications:

Password Problem for some applications: I'm unable to download Adobe Reader, Microsoft updates.  I have no password set to start the computer, applications such as Pages, Numbers, Keynote require no password for updates.
When I try to update Microsoft or Adobe Reader, first I try with no password, I get a hint and I know exactly what it means, but still unable to download.  I don't know enough about passwords as to why some I can download and others I can't.  So I don't know what I should read.  I'm the only user of this computer and prefer not to have to deal with passwords.  I'm using a MacBook Pro, Mac OS 10.9.3

Oh what a tangled web we weave.  I read up on keychain and I don't understand what I'm reading.  Right now I cannot download my email on my computer, I can access it through the cloud. I'm sure it will be the same for the other iCloud feathers.   When I go to preferences and select iCloud when ever I try to sign in I get some dialog box it shows up "A keychain cannot be found to store 1076701306.  It doesn't matter whether I reset it or cancel it out iCloud preferences remains grayed out.
In keychain access on the left side under keychains and Read's local item, systems, and systems roots.
When I select local items nothing shows up to the right under the name column even when down under all items is selected nothing shows up.  And nothing shows up to the right when under categories I selected the other options password etc.  On the other hand when I select under keychains systems, systems roots I do get items to show up on the right side under names under all items, passwords, etc.  Where do I start?

I've tried using the 'Lockdown and Send mail' option in the 'Offline distribution wizard' but I get the error: "Error downloading email setup from server".. How do I setup the email on the server?

    Dear Meznert,
You should have the account email first and make sure that account can sent email to other user account. After that, you should set the SAP BPC through BPC Administration Web and choose the menu "Set Appset Parameters". For more information how to set the SMTP in SAP BPC please you read the help.
