Offline Interactive Forms (Web Dynpro for ABAP)
Hi Everyone.
Please help me!!!
Upload Offline PDF file to xstring context attribute by file upload in Web Dynpro parts.
Set Offline PDF file uploaded via xstring context attribute in 'pdfSource' property of interactive form.
I wish to view Offline PDF file and get data to context in 'dataSource' property of interactive form.
Below restriction.
- Web Dynpro for ABAP
- Offline Interactive Forms
- Zero Client Installation
- ABAP Dictionary-Based Interface
NetWeaver 7.0 (NW 7.0) SPS16
Hi Daisuke,
As per your requirement, to get done your work you need to create two Adobe Forms , one is for Offline Interactive Form and other is Online Interactive Form.
In offline Interactive you design your form and define the Layout type as zci layout and Abap Dictionary Based interface. And by executing the form you can save the form to your desktop.
Now in online Interactive Form you create the context similar to the one which has been created in the Offline Interactive Form. Now in one view you define the file upload functionality and in other view you define the adobe interactive form, for this the interface is automatically as it asks for the context and its of type XML based interface, also do maintain the context variable something like "PDFDATASTRING" with type XSTRING in the Component Controller and now in adobe view you give the property pdfstring as "PDFDATASTRING" and dont forget to provide the navigation of these two view, and set the File Upload View as default view.
The above functionality can help you in some way or the other.

Are ZCI interactive forms available via Web Dynpro for ABAP?
Note 955795 talks about ZCI forms available via Web Dynpro for Java. Is this kind of forms also available via Web Dynpro for ABAP?.
Do ZCI interactive forms work via Web Dynpro for ABAP without the need of ACF?
If available, which support package levels are required?
RegardsHi Mahamed,
I got your problem. You have not done anything wrong.
It is WebAS version which is not supported for this functionality.
But there is solution to this problem
Please refer to the SAP Note number - 1055738.
I think you will get the answer and the scenario described there will match your requirement.
This is a know issues with WebDypro ABAP but this works fine for Java Web Dynpro.
I have also tried for 2 months but finally came to know about it.

Web Dynpro for ABAP Adobe Forms
We have created a table with fields.
How can we create a Web Dynpro for ABAP applicaton to populate these fields into an Adobe Form?hi,
Refer this: /people/bhawanidutt.dabral/blog/2007/11/15/how-to133-integrate-adobe-form-on-webdynpro-for-abap-and-deploy-it-on-portal
If you have created Fields or Table in Adobe form then you can populate those fields in Adobe form.
When you give the name of Adobe form in the Template Source Property of Interactive UI then screen will pop up asking to make contexts for the fields in adobe form.
If you click on yes, then you will have automatically created context corresponding to Fields or Table in your WD application.
Write the suitable logic to populate the Contexts in Wd Do init or using supply funciton
This way your Adobe form will be populated with values.
I hope it helps.
Thanx.

Web Dynpro for ABAP functionaility for HCM Proceseses & Forms in EhP4
Dear Gurus,
I read in one of the threads that HCM Processes & Forms are now Web Dynpro for ABAP based from EhP4 onwards. Can sameone provide me with any SAP link which corroborates this? Thanks.

sameer KadamHi Divya,
Thank you for your reply. I do have an S user id. However, the document that you specified is not readily accessible. Apparently, one needs to buy it online. Isn't there any other such related documentation- which is freely accessible?
Thanks & regards,

VaraThomas,
Here is where I am stuck.
Wrote this code in ONACTIONSEARCH.I am getting my entries in internal table ISFLIGHT.
but unable to bind it to adobe form and show in the form.
* SELECT statement
clear isflight. refresh isflight.
select * into corresponding fields of table isflight from sflight
where carrid = ls_data_selections.
* navigate from <CONTEXT> to <ADOBE_DATA> via lead selection
lo_nd_adobe_data = wd_context->get_child_node( name = wd_this->wdctx_adobe_data ).
* navigate from <ADOBE_DATA> to <SFLIGHT> via lead selection
lo_nd_sflight = lo_nd_adobe_data->get_child_node( name = wd_this->wdctx_sflight ).
lo_nd_sflight->bind_table( new_items = isflight set_initial_elements = abap_true ).
Error is Access via 'NULL' object reference not possible.
FYI.. I just dragged and dropped 2 elements from DATA to Adobe form.what are the other changes do i need to do in form gui elements so that it shows the internal table contents?

HCM Processes & Forms : Migrating from JSPs to Web Dynpro for ABAP
We are pretty well invested in HCM Processes and Forms. We currently use JSP based forms as the UI for our notifications. We do not, use Adobe Forms.
For a number of reasons, we want to transition to forms based in Web Dynpro for ABAP.
We want to bring a new scenario online using WD4A. Down the road, weu2019ll very likely transition our old JSPs over to the new methodology as well.
I would expect that this is pretty well doable. As part of a proof of concept, we did launch notifications from the web dynpro environment, had them initiate workflow, etc . Weu2019ve also pulled up our web dynpro app from the UWL and portal.
Has anyone gone through this specific exercise u2013 moving from JSPs to WD4A? We are particularly interested in where the integration points will be, working with ISR_PROCESS_EVENT, etc.
Your comments, suggestions, references, etc. are welcomed, as well as any discussion you may offer.
Thanksu2026
...MikeAnd along the same lines, any thoughts around which of the following QISRDPROCESS_TYPEs might be a better choice?
Entry Using ITS Service
Entry Using Adobe PDF
We currently use the ITS Service type. I think this may be our first direction, replacing url links with links to our webdynpro application which woulds need to integrate calls through ISR_PROCESS_EVENT
The Adobe Type seems interesting - Again, we do not, nor will, have Adobe Forms in place for this development. But, I've read some discussion that folks have enhanced out of actual Adobe Form rendering.
Again, the thoughts of the community are welcomed here.
Thanks...

How to debug Adobe form attached to Web Dynpro for ABAP
Hi,
My developer has created an adobe form and rendered inside a Web Dynpro page in the SAP Portal. It communicates with the Web Dynpro framework in the backend SAP system (Web Dynpro for ABAP).
My question is, how would I know what infotype access this form requires, in the form of backend authorization role? Is there any way (not trace, ST01) to debug Abobe form on Portal or in backend SAP system?
Thanks,
Karan.Julius Bussche wrote:
> I am not sure whether this will work in this case, but principally if your trace is recording a * value for a field in an authorization check, then it must be defined somewhere, and there is an option in the trace file to jump from the check to the source code location where it occurred.
Yes, that's possible since the trace also records the information on the ABAP source code location where the AUTHORITY-CHECK statement (or other ABAP statements which internally trigger authorization checks) is executed. If I'm not wrong then there is a button (in ST05) which allows a direct source code navigation. Alternatively you might just click on the ABAP source code information displayed in the ST05 trace results (for recorded authorization checks).

Hi all,
I'm creating Adobe Interactive forms in Web Dynpro for ABAP.
<b>Problem:</b>
<b>Context defined in the created "View" is not displayed in the 'templates' (Adobe Interactive Form in the "Data View" tab.</b>
I'm following the exact steps used in the following e-learning class:
<b>https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/media/uuid/c766e918-0b01-0010-99b1-c2b78cd059b3</b>
Except I'm creating 'string' fields instead of numeric fields like in the above e-learning class and creating my forms in Adobe Livecycle designer first then importing them to the web dynpro for abap - 'templates'.
The 1st form I created went well and works fine.
<b>Question:</b>
For my second and third form I'm unable to map my context fields they are not displayed in the "Data View" anyone know why this is not possible?
Cheers,
DharmHello,
are you creating the form via forward navigation from webdynpro abap?
When you do that the context of the form should be created automaticaly.
What Basis SP level are you using?

Interactive Forms by WebDynpro for ABAP
Hello,
I'd like to create Adobe Interactive Forms by "WebDynpro for ABAP".
Our business requirements are
- to download offline PDF forms.
- to upload PDF forms and display Forms online.
Please let me know how to do this and the document or blogs.
Best regards,
KojiHi,
Downloading a form is as simple as when u enduser opens a form online, he just saves a copy of it, fills it up and uploading is just the next step.
If u want to upload an offline PDF form:
Here's the link that'll give a fair idea about this:
/people/shruti.rathour/blog/2008/02/07/uploading-sap-interactive-form-on-the-abap-webdynpro-view
If still not clear ask me..
It's just that u've created a view in webdynpro ABAP and uploading an offline form from that.

Direct link to Web Dynpro for ABAP
Hey everyone,
I created a web dynpro for ABAP application that will list out all the work items for the purchase requisition approval through workflow. I want to be able to have our higher ups be able to access this through our portal. I created an iView that works and calls the application just fine. What I want to do now is provide a link in an email to these people so they will be able to log into the portal and go directly to the application (just the application not portal wrapper around it at all) and only the application. I can't provide a directly link to the WDA app since, I think, it would be to the ECC server and not the portal one.
I have tried Quick Links but that isn't what I want.
I did try to put a pcd location link
http://<server>:<port>/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/<pcd location>
but I get an internal error because it's trying to do an anonymous login and I want the login screen to show up first.
HELP!!!!!
Thanks,
ArchieThe PCD path of the portal object is the Navigation target.
http:/myServer:50000/irj/portal?NavigationTarget=ROLES://portal_content/myFolder/myRole
This can be hashed and shortened to form the Short URL as shown below
http:/myServer:50000/irj/portal?NavigationTarget=navurl://b3d6d9ebac16a46574d62757803b05d4
Short URL can be enabled and disabled depending upon the requirements.
Check the links below for detail description to enable short URL:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp2/helpdata/en/43/014421d21d6fade10000000a11466f/frameset.htm
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp2/helpdata/en/49/330b66fd695aa8e10000000a42189d/frameset.htm
NavigationTarget generally shows all the portal roles with the specific object highlighted.
In the sense it takes you to that Object with the portal header and TLN.
If your requirement is not to show header and TLN,then try adding &NavMode=3 to the NavigationTarget url you are using as below
http://<server>.<port>/irj/portal?NavigationTarget=ROLES://<PCD path of object>&NavMode=3
I( made some testes here, and works fine for worksets and roles.
Hope it Helps.

N4S: Web Dynpro for ABAP layout editor not working
Have problem in Layout editor in Web Dynpro for ABAP
I have installed NW04S Testdrive on 64bit Linux and able to login.
SE80 is working alright.
Next I create a Web Dynpro Comp. / Intf. and create a component.
I double click on the View name "V_Default" . The Layout editor opens on the right side. Change into Edit Mode.
The "View Elements" panel on the left side of layout editor is missing. This is where we select the various elements like "Textview" etc.
Even the right click on the "ROOTUIELEMENTCONTAINER" to insert elements using context menu does not work.
In summary I am not able to add any element in WD4A Layout screen.
Is there any special plugin required to be installed?
How to solve this problem?you cannot develope Webdynpro for ABAP using ECC5
This is available with netweaver 2004s (WAS7.0) for which ramp up is going on right now and the general availability is expected sometime around 1st quarter for 2006.

Import Data from Office Control (Web Dynpro for ABAP) into internal-Table
Hello,
I have a question concerning the Office Control UI-Eelement in Web Dynpro for ABAP:
How can I import spreadsheet data from the Office Control into a internal-table?
I have an Excel-sheet (without any data) which is shown initially in the Office Control. First the empty Excel-Sheet will be loaded and in the second step data from an alvxml-transformation will be loaded into the Excel-sheet with the method 'activatexmlsource'. This works so far. When I change the loaded data in the Office Control and save it it will be stored as XLS-File. The problem is that I'm not able to use existing Upload-FM because every function module I tried uses GUI-functions and WebDynpro has no GUI-functionality. I always get the error that data from clipboard cannot be imported.
So now the question is:
How can I import changed data from the Office control into a internal-table staying in Web Dynpro application?
Please give some advice, if you have some useful code or ideas.
Thanks

Edited by: Ramakullay Challa on Sep 24, 2009 9:07 AMHi,
Once you save to desktop again you have made some changes to that file, this file you want to upload it right.
Then in that case you need to use the FILEUPLOAD UI element right.
