OIF11g-OAM11g integration - Auth mode?

I'm tying to get OIF11g-OAM11g auth mode integration work. I'm following the OIF integration mode doc and followed all the steps. I'm getting redirected to the OAM forum login. Authentication is going through successfull, but I'm getting this error from OIF:
<Mar 13, 2012 1:17:36 PM CDT> <Error> <oracle.security.fed.eventhandler.authn.engines.oam.OAMAuthnEventHandler> <FED-18068> <Authentication failed: WebGate did not authenticate the user>
<Mar 13, 2012 1:17:36 PM CDT> <Warning> <oracle.security.fed.http.handlers.authn.LoginRequestHandler> <FED-18051> <Authentication instant was not sent from the authentication engine.>
Installed OHS server (for Webgate 11g agent) on the same server hosting OIF (configured for both IdP and SP). I'm NOT using OSSO agent.
The index.html of OHS server was modified and set to redirect the loopback testing URL of fed server as below. The reason I did this was to suppress the OIF login page and make OIF understand the OAM cookie.
http://oifhost:7499/fed/idp/initiatesso?providerid=http://oifhost:7499/fed/sp&returnurl=http://anyresouce
Under Authentication Engine, made OAM as the default authentication engine and added "OAM_REMOTE_USER" as the header attribute
Create OAM policy in OAM. The host identifier has both OHS proxy and OIF host URL
Added "OAM_REMOTE_USER" as the header attribute under authorization policy
Has someone faced this issue before. I have seen many threads with the same issue but no solutions yet. Please help.

Hi community,
I have a problem with the integration between oracle access manager 11g and Oracle identity Federation. I want propagate the credential from an application called WSebra to Oracle Access Manager with a SAML Assertion. I have tested the procedure of the integration guide of Oracle "Integration Guide for Oracle Access Manager E15740-04" but not work.
I want know if is possible propagate the credentials betwen an application that send SAML Assertion like WSebra and Oracle Access Manager 11G and if is possible the procedure of integration, i don´t use WebGate i just need propagate the credentials from wsebra to Access Manager. Wsebra has an authentication mechanism with an LDAP system and make the work of authentication, Access Manager must create the Session.
At this point, i create and identity provider and service provider with Oracle Single Sign-On like the integrattion manual describe and i get the message:
Resultado de Autenticación de SSO: Fallo de Autenticación
Código de Estado Secundario de SSOUNKNOWN_PRINCIPAL
And in the log i get the next message:
Authentication instant was not sent from the authentication engine.
Please i need help with this topic because we must integrate this products for a migration process, we want migrate from SUN ACCESS MANAGER to Oracle Access Manager 11g, the SUN ACCESS MANAGER has the SAML setting out of the box. Oracle Access Manager 11g doesn't has SAML and RSA authenticacion is very bad, and we have many problems for this features.
Thanks.

  • Switch port in dot1x multi-auth mode stops passing traffic

    Dear All,
I am experiencing a problem on a Catalyst 4510 (cat4500-ipbasek9-mz.122-53.SG.bin) with 802.1x configured. Client PCs are connected via a mini desktop switch to a Cat 4510 switched port in multi-auth mode. The configuration of the port follows:
    interface GigabitEthernet2/34
    switchport mode access
ip arp inspection limit rate 30
    authentication host-mode multi-auth
    authentication port-control auto
    authentication periodic
    authentication timer reauthenticate server
    dot1x pae authenticator
    dot1x timeout tx-period 5
    dot1x max-reauth-req 6
    spanning-tree portfast
    ip verify source vlan dhcp-snooping
    end
It happens from time to time that the Cat 4510 port stops passing traffic. Reconnecting the mini switch recovers the communication. Client PCs connected to the mini switch seem to be authorized at the moment when the problem occures. The RADIUS Termination-Action attribute is set to RADIUS-Request. The problem is not present if "authentication periodic" is disabled.
Did anyone experience a simmilar problem? Any advice?
    Thanks.

  • CC 2014 Help Manager never gets out of "Integration Pending" mode when updating help.  How do I fix this?

I am using CC 2014 on a Win7 machine.  I have been unable to update offline help for quite some time.  After downloading help, Help Manager enters "integration pending" mode and after hours and hours, still sits in this mode.  You can leave it run all night and no progress is made.  I have no help PDFs which I can open.

In OAM, I even changed the User Identity Store from Embedded LDAP to AD but no luck.
Does any one got this error?
    Appreciate your help.

    Thanks.

  • OAM11g integration issue

    Dear All,
I am trying to integrate OAM11g with OBIEE11g.
    The resource is https://host/analytics/saw.dll
    where <host> is load balancer
here is the mapping within http.conf
    <VirtualHost *:7777>
    ServerName https://host:443
    ServerAdmin [email protected]
    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteOptions inherit
    <IfModule ossl_module>
    SSLEngine off
    </IfModule>
    </VirtualHost>
I have 2 OBIEE nodes with load balancer in front of it.
when URL is selected, OAM login page appears, user is successfully authenticate against LDAP in OAM, session for the user is created in OAM 11g, but when control is passed to OBIEE the error message is dispayed:
"You are not currently signed in to the Oracle BI Server.
If you have already signed in, your connection might have timed out, or a communications or server error may have occurred.
To sign in again, click here. If the problem persists, please contact the site's administrator."
the integration steps were executed as per "Oracle Fusion Middleware Enterprise Deployment Guide for Oracle Business Intelligence"
    (Chapter 9)
    http://docs.tpu.ru/docs/oracle/en/fmw/11.1.1.6.0/doc.1111/e15722.pdf
In addition, When I am trying to validate resource via Oracle Access Manager Test Tool I am getting the following message:
    [6/11/12 11:04 PM][request][validate] no
    [6/11/12 11:04 PM][response] Major code: 5(ResrcOpNotProtected) Minor code: 2(NoCode)
    What could be the issue?
    thank you for your feedback

    Hi Shikha,
I would definitely try this with the 10.1.4.3 WebGate, and the latest BP (13) applied. There were a couple of bugs related to MSIECompatibleAgents that were fixed (not sure that they cause the problem you see, but are a possbility). Failing that, comparing the http header traces of failing IE and successful Firefox session might give some clues as to the cause of the problem.
    Regards,
    Colin

  • 802.1x "MachineorUser" Auth Mode strange behavior in 2950 & 3750 Switches

Good Day Support Team around the world,
Having started recently  tests with 802.1x in a lab environment, I noticed  a strange behavior related to authentication. First let me provide you with the network components I used.
supplicant:                    domain-joined laptop with Windows XP SP3 802.1x embedded client
    authenticator1:              Cisco 2950-24
    authenticator2:              Cisco 3750-24
authentication server:     MS NPS Windows Server 2008
    1.     In the first scenario with 3750 switch when I connect the laptop to relevant port the machine authentication is successful. Then I try to login with a domain account and again the authentication is completed without any problem. Then I log off and user authentication is revoked and the machine authentication is used again without any issue. When I try to login again as local user the authentication fails as expected but the port remains disabled (port blinking amber) regardless the fact that port is configured for Auth-Fail Vlan. When I log off then the machine authentication is used again and the access is granted.
    2.     In the second scenario with 2950 switch as authenticator, I follow the same steps as before and when I try to login as local user the authentication is failed and the port is assigned the Auth-Fail Vlan (as expected based on configuration). However when I log off it seems that the 2950 switch still use the Auth-Fail Vlan for that port and never authenticates again for machine authentication.
Could you please let me someone know if this is normal ( I suppose no). Please find attached the relevant debug output from the second scenario.
    Thank you!!!

    Hi,
basically what happens is that the maximum EAP packet size for communication between client and RADIUS server is negotiated. Therefore, in your case the switch notifies NPS that the client is capable of handling packets up to 9000 bytes in size.
EAP messages, especially those containing the server certificate, are usually bigger than 1500 bytes and arrive at the switch in multiple fragments:
    Mar  6 15:50:11.881: RADIUS(0000002C): Received from id 1645/41
    Mar  6 15:50:11.881: RADIUS/DECODE: EAP-Message fragments, 253+253+253+253+253+253+253+253+20, total 2044 bytes
Having learned that 2044 bytes is acceptable for the client, the switch forwards the full message in one chunk, but since your client is likely to have set the interface MTU to 1500, the packet is oversized and never reaches its destination.
And yes, I think changing the System Jumbo MTU to 1500 bytes would lead to the same result. If my memory serves me right, a new setting takes effect only after a reboot, so I'd suggest giving it a go in your lab first.
    Best regards,
    Josef

  • Disable OIM-OAM11g Integration

    Hi,
I have OIM11g (11.1.1.5) integration in place. I would like to disintegrate OIM and OAM.
I dont see any documentation for this.
Any help on this is helpful.
    Thanks
    vicky

    Hi Venky,
I have searched and I don't find any documentation from oracle on this. I guess you need to raise SR on this and find out.

    Chinni

    Multiauthentication Mode
Available in Cisco IOS Release 12.2(33)SXI and later releases, multiauthentication (multiauth) mode allows one 802.1X/MAB client on the voice VLAN and multiple authenticated 802.1X/MAB/webauth clients on the data VLAN. When a hub or access point is connected to an 802.1X port (as shown in Figure 60-5), multiauth mode provides enhanced security over the multiple-hosts mode by requiring authentication of each connected client. For non-802.1X devices, MAB or web-based authentication can be used as the fallback method for individual host authentications, which allows different hosts to be authenticated through different methods on a single port.
Multiauth also supports MDA functionality on the voice VLAN by assigning authenticated devices to either a data or voice VLAN depending on the data that the VSAs received from the authentication server.
Release 12.2(33)SXJ and later releases support the assignment of a RADIUS server-supplied VLAN in multiauth mode, by using the existing commands and when these conditions occur:
•The host is the first host authorized on the port, and the RADIUS server supplies VLAN information.
•Subsequent hosts are authorized with a VLAN that matches the operational VLAN.
•A host is authorized on the port with no VLAN assignment, and subsequent hosts either have no VLAN assignment, or their VLAN information matches the operational VLAN.
•The first host authorized on the port has a group VLAN assignment, and subsequent hosts either have no VLAN assignment, or their group VLAN matches the group VLAN on the port. Subsequent hosts must use the same VLAN from the VLAN group as the first host. If a VLAN list is used, all hosts are subject to the conditions specified in the VLAN list.
•After a VLAN is assigned to a host on the port, subsequent hosts must have matching VLAN information or be denied access to the port.
•The behavior of the critical-auth VLAN is not changed for multiauth mode. When a host tries to authenticate and the server is not reachable, all authorized hosts are reinitialized in the configured VLAN.
    NOTE :
•Only one voice VLAN is supported on a multiauth port.
•You cannot configure a guest VLAN or an auth-fail VLAN in multiauth mode.

  • Windows Integrated Security with SSRS, Sharepoint 2013 and SSAS over http

I have the following setup and problem:
Sharepoint 2013 with SSRS in Sharepoint integrated mode
SSAS 2012 SP1 with http access (IIS + msmdpump) enabled on the same box as SSAS
Every component I have tried works fine with this (PerformancePoint, .bism connections, SSIS packages etc.), connecting over http using Kerberos and windows integrated authentication.
SSRS (.rsds) connections in Sharepoint fail a connection test when using the same http connection string + Windows integrated authentication which works for everything else. The error is: "Unsupported data format: -> Microsoft.ReportingServices.DataExtensions.AdomdTestConnectionException:
    Unsupported data format:"
SQL server profiler shows that the windows username is reaching the SSAS server is all cases.
Kerberos delegation is set up for SSAS and is working.
Switching the .rsds connection to saved credentials (same user as I tried with Windows integrated auth) works fine and SQL server profile logs look the same as the Windows integrated case.
So, everything seems to work with Kerberos + http apart from SSRS ... any idea welcome. I did read that SSPI is not supported for http connections but then again, there are sites which give examples of exactly such connection strings. I can't find any
mention of this case or exact problem anywhere ...

For information, this was fixed by applying the .NET 4.5.1 patch as advised by MS support. Now http connections from integrated mode SSRS work ok.

  • Register in integrated capture in GoldenGate 12c

register extract <name process > database
register in integrated capture in GoldenGate 12c.
    detail workflow in register?
    Thanks,
    T N

    Hi T N,
Integrated Capture is one of the New features of Oracle GoldenGate  11g. In Integrated Capture mode, the Extract process does not directly reads the Redo Logs. Instead, it directly interacts with the database log mining server.
The log mining server reads the database redo logfiles and captures the changes in the form of Logical Change Records. These records are then written to the Oracle GoldenGate trail files by the Extract Process.
Earlier in Classic Capture Mode, the Extract directly reads the Redo Logfiles, captures the changes and writes it to the GoldenGate Trail Files. But here it is totally different. The Oracle has binded the GoldenGate process with the Oracle Log Mining Server to capture the changes and hence it is has been named as Integrated Capture.
To Integrate the Extract with the Database Log miner server, we need to first Register the extract with the database.
    REGISTER EXTRACT <EXTRACT_NAME> DATABASE
This registers the Extract with the database to make the Extract process integrate with the Oracle Database Log miner server. Once you Register your Primary Extract to the database, automatically dedicated Log Miner Server will be assigned to that Primary Extract Group. So that Log Miner Server will capture the changes from the Redo Logs and gives it to the Extract process which in turn is written to the GoldenGate Trail files.
Only Primary Extract can be registered with the Database. I mean if you are using a Datapump extract, you cannot register it to the Database.

  • 0xc000035b error during windows integrated login

I've been trying to setup an ADFS SQL farm. I've been running into an issue when trying to authenticate a use using Windows Integrate Authentication. I get it in all the browsers that I've tried (IE, Firefox, Chrome). What's happening is that the HTTP challenge
box keeps popping up. I put in valid credentials (I've entered them in in various forms, UPN, domain\username, etc.), but the system never accepts them and keeps challenging until I cancel or I get a 401. When I look into the logs I see the following:

During the setup of the ADFS SQL farm, I got a warning about the service principle name being already taken by some other AD object. Upon further investigation, that error is appearing because the setup is trying to assign an SPN to a domain user that is
already assigned to the machine in the AD. So, I found ADFS docs that show how to manually assign an SPN to a service account. Still no go.
So here is a run down on how ADFS is being accessed. We have a reverse proxy that all web traffic is going through. The ADFS server farm (a farm of one server) is behind this reverse proxy. I've tried assigning SPNs to the service account that ADFS is running
under that reflect external and internal DNS names. Can anyone shed some light on this? Windows integrated auth works great when I setup a stand-alone server and don't have to do all the service account stuff.

    Hallis:
I have a web application running on Azure, the ADFS server is published to the internet using TMG.
When accessing the application from my internal network everything works as expected. I see from the logs that the user is loggen on using Kerberos. This works for both domain joined computers and others.
But, when accessing the application from outside my internal network I get the same behaviour as you described.
The only difference in these scenarios is the reverse proxy. When it fails NTLM is used, when it works Kerberos is used. Maybe ADFS does not support NTLM?
    pagefaulted:
I'm having the same issue except replace a reverse proxy with a F5 Bigip. Anyone out there have any solutions or at least explain why it is failing?
    Hi all,
I've encountered the same issue a few of you mentioned above, when using a reverse proxy. In my case, the solution was to turn off Extended Protection (see
Configure Extended Protection in IIS 7.5 or
Windows Extended Protection) on the LS folder, or to configure it to match your use scenario and not perform channel-binding token (CBT) checking.
To turn Extended Protection off, on the AD FS server, launch IIS Manager, then, on the left side tree view, access
Sites -> Default Web Site -> adfs -> ls. Once you’ve selected the “/adfs/ls” folder, double-click the
Authentication icon, then right-click Windows Authentication and select
Advanced Settings… On the Advanced Settings dialog, choose Off for
    Extended Protection.

  • Unable to see Active Directory Groups in the User Profile Database after Profile Import

***Major Update - I have finally been able to get the direct attention of the folks responsible for the User Profile Service on the SharePoint Product Team.  Long story short, they have reproduced the error and identified as an actual mistake
that needs to be fixed, so it is now officially in the bug pipeline and will be fixed.  The current estimate is some time in the summer.  They will keep me updated with timeframes, which I am allowed to share as time goes on.
SharePoint Server 2010 Enterprise RTM. W2K8R2 w/multi-server setup:
    AD/DNS
    SQL 2008
    WFE
    APP
Claims Mode Web App only using Windows Integrated Auth
So, this was never a problem in 2007, and I didn't even realize it was a problem in 2010 until I started to build a solution that utilized my blog article:
InfoPath - User Roles in Browser-Enabled Forms Using AD Groups.  I went to utilize the same web method of the same web service, but I noticed that no data was showing up at all.  Typically,
the GetUserMembership/GetCommonMembership methods return the specified user's memberships: AD Security Groups, AD Distribution Lists, and SharePoint Sites (not SharePoint Groups, though).
My user profile sync is working.  All AD users are pulled in with the proper profile data.
"Users and Groups" is selected in the Synchronization Entities section of my Sync Settings.
Security groups are working for permissions and audience targeting.  Confirmed my users are affected properly by the use of Security Groups.
My query to the GetUserMemberships web method (and GetCommonMemberships) is running (not failing), but it's not returning anything even though my user is in some Security Groups and has explicit membership to multiple sites.
The GetUserProfileByName method of the same UserProfileService.asmx web service
returns all the regular profile data like expected, so the web service works and my profile database is populated
Basically, I'm not seeing my AD groups or any membership data populated in the profile database.  I did use MIISCLIENT.exe to see what I could find, and here is what I saw:
Using the Metaverse Search, I searched for the "person" type and saw all of the users in my profile sync connection (single OU)
Using the same tool, I searched for the "group" type and saw nothing, but the message said 4 items were retrieved
I realized that the only column showing was displayName, and they were blank, so I added other columns to be sure
objectGUID, objectType, distinguishedName all showed values, and I could now see all the Security Groups from the OU where I'm doing my profile sync
My "person" objects all have displayNames showing but none of the groups do.  In SharePoint, the GetUserMemberships method relies on displayName and accountName, but neither are coming through the profile import
So, it does seem like the groups are coming in with the profile import, but I can't see them.  I also can't verify that the groups are being associated with my users in the profile database, because doing a query to the membership methods returns nothing...not
    even blank rows.
***Edit:  New information!  Regular AD Distribution Lists _do_ work properly.  I just never bothered testing them until folks on my blog notified me.  DLs come through the profile sync, are visible in the profile database, and show up
    when using the GetUserMemberships method.
***Edit: Ok, now we're getting somewhere.  I checked my last profile sync with the MIISCLIENT, and this is what I found:
Here are the properties of my Distribution List:
Here are the properties of my Security Group:
Notice that the groupType value of the DL is a normal integer (2), but the groupType value of the SG is some crazy negative number.  Both types are still lacking DisplayNames for some reason, but when I retrieve the DL via GetUserMemberships, it DOES
show the proper DisplayName despite nothing showing in the MIISCLIENT.

    My Blog

    Hello Clayton,
I have same problem with SP 2010 and now I am testing SP 2013 and seems that the problem still.aa
Probably I have some configuration problem, but all seems work, except this.
SharePoint 2013 has no improvements on this. Until seeing this thread, I thought it was an issue within my farm configuration or AD Service account for User Profile Sync. And I've dug far and wide for any other possible settings which would prevent users
from populating in the site people-picker. This might be flagged as off-topic, but I'll beg differ. How can I expect SharePoint to retrieve AD Users and Groups for accuracy in the sites which rely on this server??? Frustrating. I've spent hours and days on
this! I have 3 SP2013 farms with multiple clients (different OU's/containers and security groups). Testing in a separate QA DEV farm with the same config. NO luck yet!
This is where I'm at with it (posted this as a question recently on SharePoint Stack Exchange):
"Help.... Please.... Users from AD groups are not populating in the site people picker. I've set up a SharePoint 2013 site collection permissions group with only AD groups in it, no users added directly. Whether or not I give this SharePoint group permissions
to the site content, I still get none of the AD users showing up in the people picker. I have done the iisreset after adding the groups.
I've checked all of the people picker properties in stsadm to be sure there are no constraints in effect on the web app or site collections.  User profiles are synching and I've tried both AD import and User Profile Sync.  The AD groups are security
groups, though not email-enabled.  The AD service account has all the special permissions. My web app is claims based. My app pool runs with Network Service account.  No policies in place to restrict users, checked CA and the site collection settings.
What am I missing? I've read in multiple places that this is a supported/working config. So why can't I get these users to populate in people picker for things like Assigned To in a tasks list, or attendees of an event? "
There is some pretty good insight here, but no real hope:
    User profile
synchronization: importing users and security groups in SharePoint 2010
Other Properties that I checked, before realizing this was an issue with the Profile Import...
stsadm -o getproperty -pn siteuseraccountdirectorypath -url https://URL
    stsadm -o getproperty -propertyname peoplepicker-activedirectorysearchtimeout -url https://URL
    stsadm -o getproperty -propertyname peoplepicker-distributionlistsearchdomains -url https://URL
    stsadm -o getproperty -propertyname peoplepicker-nowindowsaccountsfornonwindowsauthenticationmode -url https://URL
    stsadm -o getproperty -propertyname peoplepicker-onlysearchwithinsitecollection -url https://URL
    stsadm -o getproperty -propertyname peoplepicker-searchadcustomfilter -url https://URL
    stsadm -o getproperty -propertyname peoplepicker-searchadcustomquery -url https://URL
    stsadm -o getproperty -propertyname peoplepicker-searchadforests -url https://URL
    stsadm -o getproperty -propertyname peoplepicker-serviceaccountdirectorypaths -url https://URL
Hope we find a better answer, as it IS very misleading. User Profile Import specifies Users, or Users and Groups. Nothing is said about Containers or Distribution Groups, worse yet there lacks any clear disclosure about how "Groups" will not
actually import if they are a Global Security Group and the users contained within them exclusively will NOT be included in your profiles,
nor in any compiled Audiences. Which was another BIG bummer!
I'm hoping to see future improvements on the Group imports.

  • J2SE file adapter

    i,
When I post a XI message via SAP PI 7.10 SP7 integration server to a J2SE adapter engine to a file adapter, then when I use mode "XMB2FILE" in the receiver file adapter configuration on the J2SE Adapter Engine then the XML file is delivered into the appropriate folder with the correct XML format and content (As expected). However when I change the mode to XMB2FILEWITHCONVERSION then message fails in the integration Engine on the PI server.

    Hi Stefan,
Thank for the prompt reply. I am sending the XI message to a plain J2SE Adapter Engine. As I under stand the process, the XI message XML to flat file conversion will take place in the J2SE Adapter Engine in the File Adapter, configured there. If I under stand correctly we need to deploy a patch to the J2SE Adapter Engine and the note refers to XI 3.00 & 7.00, these Adapter Engines I can only assume is J2EE. Also the scenario described in the note is from csv to XML and not the required XML to CSV.
    Please can you assist further?
    Regards
    Willie Hugo
