OIM 10g Database App Table GTC Issue Provisioing Failing --- Urgent Help :(

I am new to OIM.
I installed DB Table GTC pointing to one of the MySql table.
Now when tried to provisioin a user from amdin screen after approval it is faling at Systemvalidation stage with status "Rejected"
The meesage is "Setting task status... "Approve" does not correspond to a known Response Code. Using "UNKNOWN"."
Any idea on how to resolve the same?
Thanks,
Anirban

I found where the issue was.
probbaly the connector was not configured properly.
In the process detials there is a task
System validation
I added response code "Approve" and "Approved" to "C" (earllier not there) and added "create user" task for both of them as "Task to generate"
Then direct assignment worked

  • Database Applications Table (GTC): Moving fields across to resource

    All,
    I have a Sun Java System Directory Server resource and a Database Applications Table (GTC) connector. The Database Applications Table is a trusted source for incremental reconciliation against an Oracle database.
    For simplicity's sake, assume that the table which the Database Applications Table is pointing to is called hr_feed and has the following columns:
    * Table: hr_feed *
    - employee_id
    - first_name
    - last_name
    - pay_grade
    Next, assume that the Sun Java System Directory Server resource has the following attributes:
    * uid=<employee_id>,ou=employee,dc=mycompany,dc=com *
    - uid
    - givenname
    - sn
    - paygrade
    When I created the Database Applications Table connector, I was able to map employee_id to User ID (uid), and first_name and last_name to First Name (givenname) and Last Name (sn), respectively. However, I would like to:
    1) Create the Sun Java System Directory Server resource and link it to the OIM user if it does not exist
    2) Pass the pay_grade attribute from the hr_feed table (via the Database Applications Table connector) through to the Sun Java System Directory Server resource
    How can I perform the above actions - most importantly #2?
    I notice that the Resource Object associated with the Database Applications Table connector has all the fields which I assume would be populated as each record is picked up? Do I need to associate a new Process Task Adapter with the Reconciliation Insert Received Task and grab it from there somehow?
    Any assistance would be greatly appreciated :-)
    Thank you,
    Damian

    Hi Nitesh,
    Thanks for you reply, hopefully I'm one reply closer to solving my problem.
    Any how, this is what I'm try to do.
    Table in Database
    Parent Table Name: Application1
    Columns: Userid, eMail, Firstname, Lastname, Description, Access_Level (Description and Access_Level are custom fields)
    When I provision this resource, and populate all the above details, I get an error as stated in my first post. However if I only enter Userid, Email, Firstname, Lastname then it get created in the database correctly. Is there some sort of mapping i need to do for the 'custom' attributes?
    Thanks

  • Create Organizations in OIM by recon with GTC Database App tables

    Hello,
    Does anybody know if and how you can create organizations instead of users in OIM when using the GTC DataBase Application Tables connector?
    Thank you,
    Ionut.

    Very unlikely verging on the impossible.
    I would recommend writing your own connector. As you only need a little bit of JDBC and call the createOrganization in tcOrganizationOperationsIntf wrapped in a scheduled task this should not be a big issue.
    Good luck

  • Oracle 10g Database Release 1 Installation Issue

    Hi:
    The install seems to finish everything without a problem except when it's configuring the Configuration Assistants, specifically the Oracle Database Configuration Assistants (after succeeding Oracle Net Configuration Assistant and iSQL*Plus Configuration Assistant).
    The configuration stopped at 2% during the progress as it's copying database files (cloning database creation) and a pop-up flagged "ORA-12638: Credential retrieval failed". If I click "Ignore" then the same message will come up again. I can keep clicking ignore to have it finished the process but at the end it will flag: "Enterprise manager configuration failed due to the following error - 'job_queue_processes' must be greater than or equal to 1..." Then the install showed the configuration "Succeeded" and I exited out of the install.
    When I open the Oracle Enterprise Manager Console from the Oracle Client package options of the Windows Start Menu and try to connect to the ORCL_LOCALHOST database, I typed in the default username and password that was assigned during the install ("orcl" and "orcl") and I pop-up warned that "SID given in connect descriptor could not be resolved." Does anyone know what goes wrong here? I have selected all the default option during the install except I have selected a single password for multiple databse items and assigned the single password "orcl" for all instances. Hence "orcl" is the only term I have used for username, database name, SID and password. Will that generate an issue or there's another problem that's affecting my progress.
    My ultimate goal is to be able to connect to the database and create some schemas. Hope this details my problem and please feel free to request more info if necessary. Thanks and have a nice day.

    The configuration stopped at 2% during the progress
    as it's copying database files (cloning database
    creation) and a pop-up flagged "ORA-12638: Credential
    retrieval failed". If I click "Ignore" then the same
    message will come up again. I can keep clicking
    ignore to have it finished the process but at the end
    it will flag: "Enterprise manager configuration
    failed due to the following error -I had the same problem with installing 10g R2 on Windows.
    I got around it by editing the network/admin/sqlnet.ora file as follows:SQLNET.AUTHENTICATION_SERVICES= (NONE)
    and running the config assistant manually (./bin/dbca.bat, accepting all defaults).
    hope that helps!

  • OIM 11g+Database Application Tables Resource Connectors+ MS SQL Server 2008

    Hello Experts:
    I installed DBAT 9.1.0.5.0 Resource Adapter on Linux 64 bit server using OIM 11g, I try to create Generic Connectors to configure Target Resource for MS SQL Server 2008 and after entering all the information on the second screen and click continue the screen gets stuck. This does not throw any kind of error nor any error msg are written to Log files. It's been difficult to debug the problem or know the root cause since there is no error msg thrown. No data is written from the sql server.
    I can ping to the sql server and port are open.
    Do we have to do any kind of setting on sql server to make this work?
    Does any one have ideas? Did any one face any issues like this before?
    Has any one worked with OIM connections with SQL server?
    Just throwing all these question as I am running out of ideas.
    Much help appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Thanks Rajiv for the quick reply.
    I did try local oracle server and there was no issue. And i even tried all kinds of browsers for SQL server and still the same issue.
    And also can you explain a bit more on the these enabling logs
    Also enable your logs like XELLERATE.WEBAPP and GTC related logs like
    Xellerate.GC.StartUp
    Xellerate.GC.ProviderRegistration
    Xellerate.GC.ImageGeneration

    Xellerate.GC.Provider.Transformation

    I have done it the DBAT. How to do on these?

  • Database error: Table space issue

    I am getting the following error message when i tried to create a table in oracle apex throughl sql workshop --> sql commands.
    ORA-01536: space quota exceeded for tablespace
    Even after deleting few tables and truncated some data from tables i am getting the same error.
    I am using oracle 10g apex 3.2. I have no DBA access. I have only Apex workspace admin access.
    Is there any way i can check the allocated workspace and quota.
    Do i need to do anything after deleting the data to resolve this issue.

    Hi Ravi,
    About getting information on tablespace utilization, you can get it in Administration -> Monitor Activity -> Schema Tablespace Utilization or Report Tablespace Utilization (popup).

  • Installing oracle 10g release 2 on spark solaris!! urgent help!

    hi guys!

    Space aint an issue and dont know how to over come this error!
    Should ai just install the db using scripts and run the neccessary .sql scripts instead of going through dbca?

    This appears to be because of low semaphores setting. Did you reboot your server after making the /etc/system parameter changes ?

  • Wf_notification_out table dropped, how to recreat urgent help  !!!!!!!!!!!!

    Hi all,
    I was following tech note *"Workflow Mailers Not Sending Notifications [ID 560472.1]"*.
    As per this tech note i dropped wf_notification_out table, i was not able to take backup of this table beacuse of space issues.
    As the table size was 10 GB. Now i dropped the table. How to recreate this table?
    I have another test Instance, from this Instance i tried to perform export and import nut export is not working for this table.
    I have cold backup, but it will take long time to restore, flashback is not enabled.
    This is development Instance (critical).
    Any inputs and suggestion on this is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Hussein,
    As always thanks for your prompt response.
    When im trying to use the script ist giving error:
    SQL> @wfntfqup APPS **** APPLSYS
    declare
    ERROR at line 1:
    ORA-20000: Oracle Error = 100 - ORA-01403: no data found
    ORA-06512: at line 87
    As per the tech note *560472.1*
    1. Backup the Oracle Alert messages that are unprocessed on the WF_NOTIFICATION_OUT.
    create table APPLSYS.AQ$WF_NOTIFICATION_OUT_BAK
    as
    select *
    from APPLSYS.AQ$WF_NOTIFICATION_OUT
    where CORR_ID like 'APPS:ALR%' and msg_state in ('READY','WAIT');
    But unfortunately i missed this step beacues of space issues i thought *@wfntfqup.sql* will create new wf_notification_out table, but this script is just to create queues it seems.
    Now the object wf_notification_out does not exists.
    So please suggest me accordingly.

    Craig

    Apologies, I resolved this myself.  Was not obvious and no error logs indicated what the problem was.
    Turns out that the initial configuration of tablespace data files was incorrect.  Even though it matched the correct size it tried creating them as 1 file and subsequently ran out of file system space.
    After realising this I changed the values and adjusted the tablespaces post creation.
    Thanks anyway.
    Cheers

    Thanks,
    Ill try that in a minute.
    I guessed that Input/output error meant filesystem corruption so I rebooted using :
    sudo shutdown -rF now
    and the resulting fsck on bootup had a few errors.
    Manually fixed them and now waiting for fsck to finish.
    Could take a while.
    I'll update when it boots.
    update:
    Booted,
    sudo pacman -Syy
    *no errors*
    sudo pacman -Syu
    *no errors*
    Guess its fixed then.
    I see how your fix would work, but I'm not sure I would have been able to rename the folders if they contain corrupted files.
    Thanks anyway,
    Matt

  • Resizing gallery issue...urgent help!!!!

    Hey there. I'm kind of in a huge deadline crunch.
    I have a gallery that I built from a tutorial I found
    online--it has an empty mc with a border around it, and when you
    click on a thumbnail an image is loaded into the mc and it fades in
    when it loads in and out.
    Ofcourse it works fine offline, but when I test it online the
    image will load in off-center, if you click the thumbnail again
    (after it has loaded the first time) it loads in the position it
    should be in.
    Here is the code I have on the first frame:
    spacing = 1;
    containerMC._alpha = 0;
    MovieClip.prototype.loadPic = function(pic){
    containerMC._alpha = 0;
    this.loadMovie(pic);
    onEnterFrame = function(){
    var t = containerMC.getBytesTotal(), l =
    containerMC.getBytesLoaded();
    if (t != 0 && Math.round(l/t) == 1){
    var w = containerMC._width + spacing, h = containerMC._height
    + spacing;
    border.resizeMe(w, h);
    delete this.onEnterFrame;
    MovieClip.prototype.resizeMe = function(w, h) {
    var speed = 3;
    this.onEnterFrame = function() {
    this._width += (w-this._width)/speed;
    this._height += (h-this._height)/speed;
    if (Math.abs(this._width-w)<1) {
    this._width = w;
    this._height = h;
    containerMC._x = this._x-this._width/2+spacing/2;
    containerMC._y = this._y-this._height/2+spacing/2;
    containerMC._alpha += 5;
    if (containerMC._alpha>90) {
    containerMC._alpha = 100;
    delete this.onEnterFrame;
    and here is the code that I have on my btns:
    on(release){
    _parent.containerMC.loadPic("pic_001.jpg");
    Any suggestions???
    I really need some quick help on this one.
    Thanks so much in advanced!!!
    hutch.

    Ok I plugged it into the PC in USB mass storage mode n just moved some of the pix from Camera Roll into another folder. Unplugged n opened gallery>camera roll. Scrolled with two hiccups the first time, not again after and no forced back outs. Can it be the Camera Roll gets too full so I should keep folders smaller? All Pix might freeze still...yup. Think its time I cleaned house. Disappointing considering they're all on the 16GB card that can hold it but the gallery doesn't like em all. Dunno why anyone else's would do it with so few pix, sorry dude

  • [OIM] Error in Direct Provisioning (with auto save form) - GTC DB App Table

    Hi,
    I am getting an error when setting up direct provision of a GTC DB App Conn using OIM access policy (and group membership) or through manual provisioning with prepopulate and auto save form.
    Manual provisioning with prepopulate ONLY (not with auto save form) WORKS!!!
    Some information about my OIM config:
    - Prepopulate adapters are set up on both forms (parent and child)
    - "Auto prepopulate" and "Auto save form" are set up at Process Definition
    - For direct provisioning, I have created an access policy with an associated group which has a membership rule
    What it is working:
    - Provisioning manually, using prepopulate adapters only, not auto save form. Both tables are updated properly
    - All *3 tasks are called and finished with status=Completed*: "System Validation", "Create User" and "Child Table UD_<connector child table name>_US row Inserted"
    Testing direct provisioning:
    - I have tested adding the resource manually with prepopulate and autosave form configured, and also through access policy/group membership. The error is the same on both tests
    - The resource is displayed as provisioned and it is created an entry in the parent table of the resource, but not on child table
    - I also observed that only: "System Validation" and "Create User" tasks were executed (status=Completed). But it is missing the task "Child Table UD_<connector child table name>_US row Inserted"
    - The error log info displays only an error regarding to UGP table (Groups info) but I am not sure if that is the cause of entry creation on child table.
    It seems the SQL stmt tries to get ugp_name (group name) using ugp_key but that has null value.
    "SELECT ugp_name FROM ugp WHERE ugp_key=java.sql.SQLSyntaxErrorException: ORA-00936: missing expression"
    Note: When testing manually (without auto save form), I got "SELECT ugp_name FROM ugp WHERE ugp_key=1" which it is the same SQL stmt but the value is provided.
    My guess:
    - It seems that error is aborting the whole execution process so "Child Table UD_<connector child table name>_US row Inserted" task does not run, even though previous tasks are finished with the status=Completed. Consequently, the entry is not created on child table.
    Please, any guess or help would be very helpful. In case nothing works, I guess I will have to create and customize a "Update child Form" task as an workaround which would be called after "Create User" task.
    Regards,
    Hugo
    My environment:
    - Windows 2003, WebLogic 10.3.0.0, OIM 9.1.0.2 BL4, Oracle 10g, Java 1.6, DB App Table Connector 9.1.0.2 (from October 2009)
    - Target Resource: Parent and Child Table (Oracle 10g - the same OIM DB)

    An update:
    I solved that error about "ORA-00936: missing expression" applying OIM 9.1.0.2 BP05. That was not impacting my issue regarding direct provisioning with auto save form and child form.
    So please if anyone can confirm:
    - Can I set up prepopulate adapters on child forms AND also use "auto save form" on GTC DB App Table connector?
    If not, any suggestion?
    Regards
    Hugo

    The error is "(EMPLOYEE_NUMBER) does not exist in table USR". This field is a default OIM field. If I remove it from the mapping, the recon works OK.
    I have the same error if I mapping a UDF field that the label has a white space (eg.: Cost Center).
    This happens with other default OIM field:
    - Hire Date
    - Display Name
    Any idea?
    Are there any workaround for this?
    Thanks,
    Ariel

    Hi!
    I found the bug in metalink "Bug 10041190 GTC Recon Failed With new OIM UDF Attribute Map If Attribute Name Has Space"
    The workaround is: Don't use UDF's with a space in the attribute name.
    This issue is fixed in 11.1.1.3.2
    Thanks,

  • OIM(11.1.1.3.0) supports connector Database Applications Table(9.1.0.5.0)?

    Hi, any one has been able to do a reconciliation from an Oracle database table(as trusted source) to OIM, based on the following versions:
    Database: Oracle Database 11g Release 2 (11.2.0.1.0)
    Connector: Database Applications Table(9.1.0.5.0)
    OIM: 11.1.1.3.0
    I have similar issues as in the following post:
    Re: Creating GTC in OIM 11g (11.1.1.3.0)
    The basic issue is, we don't know how to map the reconciliation staging data set to OIM user data set for such reconciliation. The attributes listed in the OIM user data set are missing the following ones, which are supposed to be required:
    user tyep;
    employee type.
    Any one can help?

    I had a liitle progress here. For the missing mandatory fields, once you are done the mapping during the creation of GTC, go to Design Console to add mandatory fields, such as user type which is not available in the creation process of GTC. Please see:
    => http://st-curriculum.oracle.com/obe/fmw/oim/10.1.4/oim/obe12_using_gtc_for_reconciliation/using_the_gtc.htm#t5
    Now actually I have exactly the same proplem as this one:
    => Re: Creating GTC in OIM 11g (11.1.1.3.0)
    => Event Recieved
    => Data Validation Succeded
    => No User Match Found
    => Creation Faild
    => Notes: ORA Error Code =>ORA-01400: cannot insert NULL into () ORA Error Stack =>ORA-06512: at DEV_OIM.OIM_SP_RECONBLKUSERCRUD", line 722
    I am looking into this, will keep you posted.
