OIM 11GR2 - mechanism for restoring default adf user forms - create user

Hi All
Our developers has pubkished multiple OIM sandbox and create user form is broken
: the user creation form does not appear - only a html <div> tag .
The developer reverted the form using the em/console - then he ran the catalog sync job but all he can acheive is a blank form not the original user create forms
How do we restore the forms to thier original state.

Not sure if this helps. But try these steps mentioned in the developer's guide. Once I did some UI customization in identity console and could not load my page after that. I followed these steps and was successfully able to restore it back. You can give a try and in step 6 try to select some known sandbox name which did not have any issues.
1. Login to Oracle Enterprise Manager.
2. In Application Deployments, select oracle.iam.ui.console.self-service.ear.
3. On the top-right of the page, select Application Deployment, and then select MDS Configuration from the list.
4. At the bottom of the screen, select Runtime MBean Browser under the Advanced Configuration section. The right side of the screen refreshes.
5. Click the Operations tab.
6. Scroll down and identify the listMetadataLabels MBean operation and invoke it. Select the MBean operation that does not take any parameters. Select the sandbox precreate that you want to restore, and copy it to the clipboard.
For example, the value you copy can be similar to: Creation_IdM_test_09:25:00.
7. Click Return to go back to the Operation tab.
8. Find the promoteMetadataLabel MBean operation.
9. Invoke the promoteMetadataLabel MBean operation, and enter the value that you copied in step 6.
10. Restart Oracle Identity Manager.

Argentina missing?: User Administration- Create User- Contact Information

Hi!:
Logon in the portal --> User Administration-> Create User --> look at "Contact Information" there's a country combo box and Argentina is not there.
I want to know how to put the country in the combo box. Seems to be all the countries in the world are in the combo.... except Argentina. Is a requirement that all the users have the country set for a certain app.
Any Idea how to fix it?.

Hi Naveen,
These roles are already assigned to the user which we want to use as power administrator. In fact, we checked the same with SAP_ALL profile.
We are referring user administration (Power Administrator) screen in WebUI, there we cannot see CREATE button (for user creation) and cannot able to search BPs or users from selection criteria which exist in our system.

Not found Users Form in User Defined Field Definition!!

I want to add new filed into Users form, As my subject, but when I query "Users" in User Defined Field Definition, no result return, just exist Orgnizations, Roles, Resource Objects,Structure Utility.

I am able to add attribute but not able to make field as mandatory,while creating attribute we are not getting option like that you want this field mandatory or not but while modifying the attribute we are getting option like required field radio button if i select that i am getting error "you cant change an attribute to required unless all the user have value for this field"

Creating a user with "create user" privilege using PL/SQL?

I have managed to use the PL/SQL DBMS_LDAP package to create and modify OID users (DBMS_LDAP.add_s and DBMS_LDAP.modify_s).
The question is: How can I use DBMS_LDAP to assign privileges to OID users? By "privileges" I mean options like the following (i.e. the options you can enable/disable for any OID user if you login to OIDDAS and click the "privileges" button for a particular user):
Allow user creation
Allow user editing
Allow user deletion
Allow group creation
Allow group editing
Allow group deletion
Allow privilege assignment to users
Allow privilege assignment to groups

New Safari User-former PC user-Slow Page Fills

safari page fills seem slow even with cable modem hard connected. Any way to "tweak" performance or check for problems? My apologies but as a former PC user, there was usually tweaking to do....

1. Yes it is helpful, but I would limit the choice to the latest version supported by Apple, because it's being tested with their apps. You can download them running "Software Update" from the Apple menu. If it doesn't propose any Java update, you are already running the latest one
2. I am not aware of any. Other people may. I know of some applications that supposedly make downloads faster, but they often cause problems with Safari.
Did you try my previous suggestion to run Firefox or Opera or Camino, just to have a comparison?

Grant privileges and permission to user, to create user and database in 10g

I'm very much new to Oracle 10g database and after all my search, I think this forum will help me to solve my puzzle. Installed Oracle 10g database and during installation created a Global database "TestDB". I created an user "user1" in sqlplusw, by logging in as system.
Now I need to know, what privileges and permissions should be given to this "user1", so that I can create new users and create database by logging as "user1". I don't want to Inherit all the sytem privileges of SYSTEM or SYSDBA or SYS or SYSOPER.
Is there a way where I could achieve this by explicitly granting the required privileges and permissions

You may need to know all the views to get the privilege information.

Best way to link user form with user table

Hi all.
What is the best way to link an user form with a user table (with all of the functions, add, update...)? I have created a simple form, and the question is next:
depending the type object of the user table (document, master...) i have facilities to imlement the basic operations in the form? if i create an UDO i have the functions but i want to use the form that i created with a screen painter.

Try to check which OBJ Class violation are you hitting , for example: If you have uniquemember instead of member and try to add more than one member this will be a rule violation. Eg: ADD request to an attribute that is included in an account entry because the attribute entry has been existed prior to the ADD request.

Could someone help me with the proper code for setting the permissions on etc/hosts to their proper default setting?

sudo chmod 644 /etc/hosts
sudo chown root:wheel /etc/hosts
Those are the settings on my iMac.
If you use an editor such as
sudo nano /etc/hosts
you will most likely not have these problems.
If you are a more experienced Unix user, then vim or emacs are good choices as well, but both of those editors have steep learning curves.

I want make join between dba_users and table like(documents) and this idea like e-mail system , one user sends document to other and 3 users can see this document itself they are dba , receptive and (unnecessary who send it) .

Modify User (OIM 11gR2 PS1): How to enable "submit" button for custom udf fields?

I made some new attributes following oracle documentation for create user, modify user, and view user details forms. create user and view user details are working fine, but I'm not being able to copy/paste the following code in custom modify user attributes to enable the submit button for modify user form change: #{pageFlowScope.cartDetailStateBean.attributeValueChangedListener} . Any ideas? Thanks.

Setting Default Decimal Notation with ISA User Admin

Hello all,
I have been trying to find out how I can select a default decimal notation when creating users via ISA User Admin. My client wishes the default notation to be 1,234,567.89.

The problem is that customers will be creating their own users via Web Based User Management. Currently the only way we can amend the decimal notation is via SU01. This, then, would have to happen for every user because the default notation is not the one we require. My question is - is there a way of setting the default decimal notation for each user so we do not need to manually amend each user in SU01.
