OIM Domain on Weblogic Failed to Start

I was able to install WebLogic, Oracle Database and OIM.
Before installing OIM, I was able to start the domain I created on WebLogic at:
Start -> All Programs -> Oracle WebLogic -> User Projects -> oim_domain -> Start Admin Server for Weblogic Server Domain
where oim_domain is the name of the domain I have created.
However after I finished installing OIM, the same domain failed to start.
There is a security service runtime exception and the wls does not start
####<Aug 28, 2009 10:52:19 AM SGT> <Error> <Security> <WIN-RVCWWXEG6OD> <AdminServer> <[ACTIVE] ExecuteThread: '0' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)'> <<WLS Kernel>> <> <> <1251427939557> <BEA-090870> <The realm "myrealm" failed to be loaded: weblogic.security.service.SecurityServiceException: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/thortech/util/logging/Logger.
weblogic.security.service.SecurityServiceException: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/thortech/util/logging/Logger
In addition if any one has detailed steps to do oim on weblogic server install successfully beyond just the oracle docs that would be great, thanks

start weblogic admin console with script xlStartWLS.bat which is created in directory "bea_home\user_projects\domains\oim_domain\bin"
That should start your weblogic admin console correctly.

    Hi,
I'm trying to install OIM 11g R2 version and downloaded the entire suit from edelivery site.
Oracle DB version: Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.1.0 - 64bit Production
Others like Weblogic, RCU and IdM suite versions are 11g R2 downloaded from edelivery site
When i try to configure domain for OIM in weblogic, getting the below exception which is returning no rows

    Hi,
It's likely that you need to Install/update the OIM schema by using the RCU. Its looking for the condition of the (where version =11.1.2.0.0) though it's not finding that version

    Hi,
Is in your application <prefer-web-inf-classes> is true or false?
This issue generally occurs when there is double class loaded (duplicate Classloading).
so, give it a try by setting
    <prefer-web-inf-classes>true</prefer-web-inf-classes> in weblogic.xmlGD,

  • OIM 9101 with Weblogic 10.3.0 - basic query

    Hi All
I am trying to install OIM 9101 with Weblogic 10.3.0 and Oracle DB 11.1.0.6 on Windows 2003 (64-bit) and Sun JDK 1.6.0_10 (Oracle certified configuration).
The problem is that my weblogic fails to start-up as soon as I enter the weblogic user-name on the command prompt. It says that the weblogic is not able to use some binary to pick-up the userID. This may be some issue related to Win 64bit environment.
To overcome this issue, I hard coded the userID and password for weblogic in Weblogic's SetDomainEnv.cmd file.
I want to know whether including the userID and password in the weblogic's file can result in OIM installation failure.
    Please help.

I personally don't think your OIM installation will fail because of that as OIM installation only execute some of the WLS configuration script to install OIM applications into WLS.

    Hi,
With data folder, You can also delete or rename tmp and cache folder in same location (${DOMAIN_HOME}/servers/${SERVER_NAME}/).
Just rename/delete all three folders and restart JVM again.

  • Weblogic admin console fails to start when commons logging is used.

I have an application that requires commons logging.
I followed the instructions as per the documentation and other forum entries such as How to use log4j into weblogic 10.3 to add the commons logging jar from apache and the weblogic jar specified. Plus I set the system property for the LogFactory.
When I start up the application server I see messages as expected from my application. But when I start up the weblogic Admin console I get and exception and the console fails to start. I even tried to put the jars in my applicaiton instead of the domain/lib directory to try to iscolate the issue but still got issues with starting the Console.
Any ideas on why this is occuring?

Thank you for replying. Yes that is the first place we looked and tried. Actually to be more specific we followed the instrcutions under: "How to Use the Commons API with WebLogic Logging Services" of the same link.
Are you thinking that maybe we are we missing a step somewhere else within the site?
Not sure if I was clear before but we are using Weblogic 10.3 and also tried up to version 10.3.3. And we get the same results.
We prefer to use the method with commons logging for our application.
One more specific here what we did on our last attempt.
    1. added this to the startWeblogic script JAVAOPTIONS -Dorg.apache.commons.logging.LogFactory=weblogic.logging.commons.LogFactoryImpl
    2. we put the WebLogic-specific Commons classes, $BEA_HOME/modules/com.bea.core.weblogic.commons.logging_1.3.0.0.jar, together with the commons-logging.jar file in one of the following locations: APP-INF/LIB or WEB-INF/LIB directory or DOMAIN_NAME/LIB directory server CLASSPATH
We are still not able to get the Weblogic admin console to start
    Any other ideas?

    Hi,
Try starting the managed server with parameters:
    ./startManagedWebLogic.sh myManagedServerName http://serverName:7001
    Does that make a difference?

  • Group MSA account fail when Domain Controller in Test Domain Fails to start KdsSvc. Event ID 7023

Yesterday, in my test domain, I created the KDS root key using the Add-KdsRootKey –EffectiveTime ((get-date).addhours(-10))
command on a DC that is not the PDC Emulator because it was the server I was on at the time.  Today, when I tried to create gMSA accounts on the PDC emulator, I get:
Event ID 7023 The Microsoft Key Distribution Service terminated with the following error: An Exception occurred in the service when handling the control request
I turned on logging on to the KdsSvc and get 2 other errors:
KdsSvc Event ID 4001: Group Key Distribution Service failed to start. Status 0x80070020
KdsSvc Event ID 4007: Group Key Distribution Service cannot connect to the domain controller on local host.  Status 0x80070020.  Group Key Distribution Service cannot be started because of the error.  Please contact the administrator to resolve
    the issue.
I took the opportunity to clean up AD, the Schema, and DNS, but the kds errors continues.  I am replicating successfully, DNS changes are reflected immediately, and when I run the get-KDSRootKey on the failing server, the key is returned.  The
Get-KdsConfiguration matches the KDS config on the DC that originally ran to create the key.
I have a pretty strict GPO pushed to my DCs but I am still able to create gMSAs on the other server.  I checked ADS&S and found the msKds-ProvRootKey so I know it is at the domain level, but there is so little documentation on the KdsSvc that I
am not sure if it is working as planned.  I have tried unassigning several GPO configuration items but I am throwing darts at this point.  I have also uninstalled McAfee AV; IDS/IPS; Firewall.
With that said, I have questions:
Will gMSAs still work even though the domain pdc emulator cannot start the service?
Is the KdsSvc supposed to start only on the server Add-KDSRootKey was originally created?
What happens if the server the KdsSvc key was created fails and has to be removed from the domain?
Is there any books or configuration items I can review to learn the KdsSvc better?
    Env:
    Windows Standard Server 2012 R2 x64
Active Directory 2012 R2 Schema Updated from Windows 2008 R2
All FSMO roles are on the PDC Emulator which is a Windows 2012 R2 DC
DCDiag returns no errors or test failures
    Repadmin returns clean results (/showreps & /replsum)
Windows 2008 R2 Root CA hierarchy (not DCs)
W32tm services are running with less than 6/10's of a ms difference among the domain.

    Hi,
For Windows Server 2012, the Windows PowerShell cmdlets default to managing the group Managed Service Accounts instead of the original standalone Managed
    Service Accounts.
    New-ADServiceAccount -name <ServiceAccountName> -DNSHostName <fqdn> -PrincipalsAllowedToRetrieveManagedPassword <group>
    -ServicePrincipalNames <SPN1,SPN2,…>
Did you use the command abouve?
    Here is a good bolg:

  • Weblogic server failes to start.

    hello every 1
i had this problem when i tested an application i created that uses an oracle xe database using JDevelopper 11.1.2.3.0 , the weblogic server failed to start leaving this message,
    *** Using HTTP port 7101 ***
    *** Using SSL port 7102 ***
    C:\Users\admin\AppData\Roaming\JDeveloper\system11.1.2.3.39.62.76.1\DefaultDomain\bin\startWebLogic.cmd
[waiting for the server to complete its initialization...]
    \PostgreSQL\pgJDBC\postgresql-9.1-901.jdbc4.jar ‚tait inattendu.
    Process exited.
please notice that my app has nothing to do with postgreSQL what so ever.
    thanks in advance.

Check you classpath if the postgres jar is part of the path and remove it form the classpath...

  • How do I sound an alarm if a thread fails to start from the weblogic startup script?

Here's the problem. I have a critical java program for my web app that
is its own thread and is started by the weblogic startup script when
the weblogic server is started. The constructor of this thread will
throw exceptions and send out emergency emails to the Sys Ops people
if it cant instantiate itself correctly. The only time that it wont be
able to do that is if it cant read the email property from a config
file to know where to send sys ops email to. In that situation what
would be the best way to alert someone that the thread failed to
    start?

    1) Post a console message to the admin (thro' net send in NT).
    2) Hard code a default email address (easiest).
