Okay so my friend just got an iPhone 4, and when i text her (i have an iPhone 5), and when she texts me its an iMessage, but when i text her, its a normal message... Any way to fix that? its really annoying
Okay so my friend just recently got the iphone 4 and I have the iphone 5. When she texts me its imessage, but when i text her it is a normal sms message.. I think ive tried everything at both ends... Any suggestions????? its driving me crazy
It is no wonder she is not receiving your messages if she has iMessage turned off in her iPad.
For her to receive iMessages on the iPad, she needs to turn iMessage ON in her iPad and then she needs to be connected to the internet in order to receive them. This connection can go through WiFi or through cellular data if her iPad has this functionality, but those two requirements are a must.
1. iMessages ON
2. iPad connected to Wifi or cellular data.

We had a MacBook Pro stolen from our home when we were out of town and I am pretty sure we never activated the LoJack type of function on it not sure if its called lojack but you get what I am saying is there any way we can activate such hardware/app now so we can possibly recover our laptop? When I select a photo on my iPhone and send it via email, the receipient receives it sideways. Any way to fix that?
When you took this photograph your phone was being held in that way. Sideways, try taking the photo straight on. Or it is the Picture file itself, open up the application you edit photos with and rotate it to be proper orientation. I recently had the same problem but you either have to retake or edit it at this point.

Basically what the title says.
The rendered text is fine when I'm not using full-screen, but as soon as I change it to full-screen the text becomes blurry (most likely tied to the difference in native resolution and aspect ratios).
Using a Latitude E7240 notebook docked and connected to a Samsung SMS22A450 monitor. The notebook has an aspect ratio of 16:9 with native resolution of 1366x768 while the samsung monitor has 16:10 1440x900.
Have tried fiddling with the resolutions, aspect ratios, Windows ClearType, DVI, HDMI, DP.
Is there any setting or something I can do inside of Adobe Reader to maybe fix this problem? Full-screen is very nice when I'm reading study material so I'd love to be able to use it.

You can change the display resolution and the type of Display (Monitor vs Laptop/LCD). I have no problem with huge displays, Mac or PC, using a 2nd monitor with or without mirroring the second monitor. -
Doesn't always read external HD....any way to fix that?

You most likely have a hardware issue. My first guess is that the external HD is bad. You can try repairing permissions through DiskUtility, and next try repairing the volume. I'd also try reparing permissions on your internal HD and also verfy/repair the internal HD by booting from a CD/DVD and running DiskUtility.
There's also the possibility that there is a problem with your USB or Firewire interface (depending on how you're connecting).
The most likely culprit is the external HD itself, but you'll need to eliminate other possibilities first.

I dropped my phone in water and know the headphone jack won't work. i will put the headphones in and sound will blast out and it sounds off. is there anyway to fix that?

To sum up: I've been using the built-in iSight camera with iMovie to collect video footage for an important project. For weeks before this project, I've been doing test recordings to make sure everything was working properly, and as far as I could tell, all was going smoothly. But this week, when I had to actually record the real project, I suddenly started getting skips (both audio and visual) in the video. Some of the footage also has audio that is out of synch with the video, although this seems to be fixed when I play the clips in QuickTime, so I'm not as worried about that.
The person who responded to the thread above did a good job of explaining possible reasons why the problem may have occurred and how to prevent it in the future. But what I'm looking for is: Is there any way to *fix* the skips after the video has already been recorded--or is the footage beyond repair? Thanks.I d not know of any troubleshooting.
What does the person who replaced the screen say? Could be a lost connection or broken ribbon cable.

when i duplicate an object in numbers, it moves it far away from where my original object is as soon as i move it. is there any way to fix this? thanks
Hi Rick,
Your initial duplicate should be offset by one grid unit to the right and below the location of the original. If you move that duplicate by dragging it, without first de-selecting it, then reselecting it, the place you put it will determine the offset for subsequent duplicates (from the same original or from the copy).
Example:
Initial object and first duplicate:
Pressing shift-up arrow would move the duplicate up to align with the top of the original. Pressing shift-left arrow would then place the duplicate directly in front of the original.
Without being deselected, the duplicate was dragged to the position shown:
Command-D was then pressed to duplicate the first copy:
The duplicate appeared in this position

When I get a phone call or text message it will not make the sound. Just vibrate. But the switch is on normal. When I change it to vibrate the volume thing will not show. Nor will my up volume up key work. Is there any way to fix it?
Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

Ok so I cant open my Itunes due to Windows Error 2 and the message says to uninstall and re-install Itunes but I'm pretty sure that would wipe the library right? Is there any way to fix the problem and keep my library?

My friend recently switched from iphone to blackberry, but my messages to her are still sent as imessage. how can i send it as a normal message? she doesn't receive any of my messages. her phone number is saved in my phone under the phone tab, not iphone.
Sounds like your friend didn't disable iMessage on his/her iphone before switching. Have your friend do the following:
Go to: https://supportprofile.apple.com/MySupportProfile.do
Log in if not already logged in.
Click on "edit products"
Click on the "x" to the right of his/her old iPhone.
Click "unregister"
This should unregister it with the iMessage server, which will allow you to send texts as normal SMS.
On your iPhone make sure you have Settings>Messages>Send As SMS set to ON. -
My Friend just got iPhone 5. His texts to me now show up as an email address not his phone number. Whats wrong? when I text to him via his # they sent as a text not iMessage. Help I dont like to have two contacts.
It has to do with his settings in iMessage. His iMessage has to be activated and it has to show his phone # as the "start conversation from".
