Old Adobe ID works but email Adobe ID does not
There is a problem with my account email with adobe.
I can log in with my old Id but I am not able to log in with my email address, I get a password and ID don't match error.
It is my understanding that Adobe wants us to use our emails to login for creativecloud...
If I try to get my password emailed to me I get this error:
'The provided email address could not be matched to an account on file. Please try again.'
What's the best way to get this fixed?

I'd ask you to contact customer support with your log in details (not your password, just your email ID). Did you try registering with the email ID again? If you get an error stating that the email ID already exists, then it is safe to assume that there is a problem somewhere. Otherwise, you could go ahead and create a new ID using that address. Hope I am making some sense here.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

Adobe Acrobat Standard v 8 works, but print-to-PDF does not
I've been trying to migrate my main computer usage from an XP desktop to a Windows 7 laptop. I've had Acrobat Standard v 8 on both computers for years but have rarely used the laptop. (I mostly used the laptop as a dumb terminal to reach through the internet to my desktop.) Now I'm determined to make the laptop into my daily WORKING computer.
I see that Acrobat Standard works on the laptop (opens files, deletes pages, etc.) but I cannot print anything to PDF. When I try to print (from Notepad, Word, or anything) the "Adobe PDF" printer shows as my default printer. But nothing happens. It doesn't ask for a filename and the printer window (?) shows error on printing.
I uninstalled and reinstalled Acrobat Standard 8 in January 2013 when it had stopped working altogether (opening a PDF would flash open then close/crash) which was probably caused by "a friend" installing an unlicensed (or wrongly licensed) version of Microsoft Office 2010. I uninstalled all of that mush and put a new version of Office on (2013, licensed). I don't recall if the print-to-PDF has worked since; but I suspect not.
Does anyone know how to fix it?
I'm afraid to uninstall and reinstall the whole Acrobat again. Someone once told me that you can only re-activate your license so many times and then one day it won't reactivate. And since my version is so old and has been reinstalled after virus cleanups (reformatting system disks), I don't know if Tech Support will fix that sort of activation problem. That last thing I want to do is use new software, or have to go to a non-Adobe PDF editor when I already have software paid for. And yes, I have the original Acrobat Standard v 8 CDs.1. I don't care about the button in Word; just trying to get a PRINT-TO-PDF function going.
2. The CD installed 8.0.0 even though I have 8.1.4 on my other computer (the XP desktop I'm trying to make obsolete). I will try to find upgrade downloads somewhere.
3. I tried to use the original CD and do a "Repair" option (not remove nor install). It went through the motions and would come up with an error. So I googled and found the article titled "Error "The file AdobePDF.dll is needed" | CS3 | 64-bit Windows" (http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/error-file-adobepdf-dll-needed.html) and applied the directions for Windows 7 64-bit version (which my laptop is), but the fix didn't work.
Still researching, and #2 above looks like the best next course of action. -
Windows 8.1 Enterprise - Hyper-v, Legacy Network Adapter works, but the Network Adapter does not
Folks,
I currently have 2 Virtual Switches: one I set up for WIFI, and the other I set up for
LAN.
Both switches are set up as:
- EXTERNAL
- Allow management operating system to share this network adapter
Both switches I can use with my Legacy Network Adapter.
But the Network Adapter doesn't doesn't work for either.
It did however work at one time, but I think a Windows Update killed it.
Thoughts? Suggestions?

The "Refresh Now" works but the "Scheduled Refresh" does not
I am able to click Refresh now on my datasets and it refreshes fine. But I cannot schedule a refresh for any of my datasets. I get the following error: "You can't schedule refresh because this dataset contains data sources that do not yet support refresh.

When I create the datasets, I create the power query in Excel 2013, upload it to OneDrive, and then upload it to Power Bi Preview. Lpr works but adding IP printer does not
With Mountain Lion on my local host I am able to e.g.:
lpstat -h printserver.domain:631 -a
and successfully print using
lpr -H printserver.domain:631 -P print_queue cont.ps
However if I go though the adding an IP printer steps in SystemPreferences -> Printers&Scanners and add
printserver.domain:631
LPD
print_queue
Generic Postscript Printer
I can add the queue, but jobs never leave the local host. I've experimented with not including the port, using lpp and even giving the driver for the printer, all to no avail. Does anyone have any suggestions? I am not able to install this particular printer as a Bonjour printer, but I can others as Bonjour printers, though.Hi dovalonso,

Ever since I updating my IPhone 4 to 5.1.1. my alert/banner does not work with my mail app. Initial startup it works but after that, it does
not work. The only way I know there is a message by tapping on the mail app and then I hear the alert and the banner shows up. Prior
to updating, it always worked. Is there a 'bug' in the system or is there something I am missing here.Yeah this was my first time connecting my phone to the computer since I went to iOS 5.0 and iCloud, so I wasn't familiar with the fact that it did not automatically create a backup on iTunes during the Sync process. Should have right-clicked on the phone device and did a manual backup.
But still, after restoring the backup from iCloud, I don't understand why data from certain apps got hosed (anything before October 2011, which was my last iTunes backup), while other apps' data appears to be fully intact. -

Adobe has decommissioned the CS2 activation servers, so your old serial number is no longer usable.
If you download the special non-activating version of CS2 that Adobe has made available to licensed CS2 users, you MUST also use the new serial number provided by Adobe on that download page:

Why does Adobe sendnow work and the newest and greatest Adobe Send does not work?
Why does Adobe sendnow work and the newest and greatest Adobe Send does not work? I wasted about 8 hours on trying to get Adobe Send to upload 269 files that amounted to 469MB. When it did not work I made a zip file and after a lot of wasted run time that did not work. The first situation gives little indication of when a file is loaded compared to Adobe SendNow. In both cases with Send it failed with a message like only the first 50 can be loaded. When I went and looked none of them had been loaded. With the zip file (I wanted to hide the individual files so they would not be counted) it appeared to work but very slowly and finally said it was done and I went and looked and it had done anything for oever 2 hours except a false "I'm runninng" indication.
Thus, I took a chance with Adobe SendNow and it works great. It never gave me a limit on the amount of files nor on the size of the complete job. It shows me one file at a time when it has finished with the file uploading it. SendNow has never given me any problems.
Why woiuld you want to change the program from SendNow to Send without the newest program being the best, fastest, user friendly program of the two? It just doesn't make sense to me. I suggest that Adobe keep SendNow working until Send is fixed. I would also suggest that SendNow and how it looks be kept, called Send, then modify Send one thing at a time until you get it to the point you need it to be for Acrobat. I have heard nothing good and now I have experienced it that Send is a piece of junk. I wasted most of my work day on giving Adobe the benefit of the doubt to find out I made a very bad decision to trust Adobe to make good decisions on the transfer of a function to another place .... both Adobe's responsibility.without making it painless for your customers that totally rely on you. Yep! Verizon living up to it's contractual obligations by not releasing updates. Caveat emptor!
I think there are some reasonable expectations here to keep customer's happy. When one carrier offers upgrades there is an expectation the same will happen across all the carriers. We have seen that except Big Red.
Verizon could have said the update is in MS court months ago and stilled the voice of the disgruntled, or at least redirected it, but instead chose to be silent. Not for market share but for partial blame I think.
We will have to agree to disagree since you only see Terms & Conditions and I, see customer satisfaction. -
Adobe Reader does not recognize file name (filename10.5.11.pdf) but does in Adobe Standard 9. Why?
I post documents to our Intranet site and found out recently that Adobe Reader does not recognize certain file names in PDF files. For instance, when trying to open a PDF file with the name
filename10.5.11.pdf in Adobe Reader, the web browser will not open the PDF and the display is blank. When I'm using another computer with Adobe Standard 9, I do not have a problem opening the file.
I would like to know if anyone else has had a similar issue and why Reader will not recognize the file name and Standard does.The version is Adobe Reader 10.1.0 I will request the latest version
and let you know if that fixes the problem
Actually I had changed the name of the file so our associates could access
the file (changed the . to a hyphen) It still made me wonder why Reader
wouldn't open it at that time.

Could you also let me know what is the exact version of Adobe Reader on
your system. You can check the same y clicking on Help > About Adobe
Reader X.
In case its not 10.1.1, please try updating to the latest version and see
if the problem persists.
Also, does any other PDF with a different filename open in Internet
Explorer correctly?

Regarding printing PDF documents...It depends on the PDF document that you are trying to print. In general, it will take longer to print more complex and larger PDF documents.
If you are willing to share your PDF document (that takes forever to print) with us at [email protected], we can test it with the same version (11.6.3) of Adobe Reader on different iOS versions (iOS 7.x vs. iOS 8.x). Please include the link to this forum (https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1616231) in your email message for reference.
Actual printing is handled by iOS (not by Adobe Reader) via AirPrint over Wi-Fi connection. We've heard from other users about iOS 8 Wi-Fi connectivity problems.

1. The google search box in the middle of the FF page accepts text but is not active since my update. The search bar box works.
2. Adobe reader does not seem to work with the new update. eg. Epost suggested I update Reader which I did but it still doesn't work. New since update. It works with Safari which I dislike or i would simply change.

Try to use the SearchReset extension to reset some preferences to the default values.

Note that the SearchReset extension only runs once and then uninstalls automatically, so it won't show on the "Firefox > Add-ons" page (about:addons).
Current Firefox versions use the default search engine (pref: browser.search.defaultenginename) to set the search engine that is used on the about:home page.
Check the <b>browser.search.defaultenginename</b> pref on the <b>about:config</b> page and make sure that it is set to the default value Google.

You can check if you still have the XML files of the default search engines including Google in the searchplugins folder in Firefox program folder.
If not then you need to reinstall Firefox. -
How to fix file when it says, "Cannot open file " ". Adobe Indesign does not support the file format, a plug-in that supports the file may be missing, or file may be open in another application." It worked one second, I saved and closed the file, then tried to reopen and now it won't work. I am using Adobe InDesign CS5. It is the only version on my comp. I have tried opening on another comp & copying the file – same error comes up. PLEASE HELP
First check the version of the document with Jongware's script "Identify.jsx" (ExtendScript/JavaScript).

If it is CS 5.5 or above, you need someone to open it in the version the script says and export an IDML representation from that. Another way would be to install a 30days version of CS6 or above (CC) and do it yourself.
In regards of the script showing a result for InDesign files higher than CS6:
CS7 = CC v9
CS8 = CC v10 = CC-2014 or CC2014.1
