Old cox site and want to use IWeb

Just recently got this IMAC. Have been a windows user forever. Fustrated is to say the least and wondering if this was a good purchase or not. I know there is a learning curve, but geeze. I bought this because its supposed to be more user friendly.
I have a current personal web site on cox.net. I have folder that is under sites that I ftp'ed the site to, but am unable to open it with iweb.
Is this even possible? When I click on the index page it opens a safari page and not iweb and doesn't give me the option to use it. This is so fustrating. I wish this thing came with a manual. All the help tells me to do is how to publish it to a folder and ftp up, but not the other way around. ARGGGGG
I really would hate to have to start from scratch and recreate my site.

iWeb can't open or import html. If you want to use it, you will need to redo your site. There are lots of other web creation programs for the Mac. Here is one list:
