Omniportler HTML Layout - How do I pass a parameter to another page?

How do I pass a parameter to another page from an HTML Layout like I can with the Tabular layout?

If I have a parameter I can pass it from one page to another, i.e. if I have a list of customers and I want data for that particular customer alone, I can create a page parameter form or an omniportlet where I would then pass the value of that portlet to the page. I would use a string like the following: https://test.test.com/test/page?_pageid=536,7483646&_dad=portal&_schema=test&customer=##CUSTOMER_NAME##

  • How do I pass a parameter from one page to another page?

    Hi,
    There are two JSF pages(a.jspx and b.jspx), when click a link(e.g...b.jspx?parameter=123) on a.jspx, it will forward to b.jspx, my question is that how can i get the parameter=123 in b.jspx?
    i use adf 10g.
    thank you very much!

    Hello,
    I would recommend to avoid using visible parameters in your querystring.
    In adf 10g on your command link/button you can use thesetActionListener to set something in the request scope or even better, a backing bean.
                  <af:commandLink text="text"
                                  action="pageB">
                    <af:setActionListener from="<yourvalue>" to="#{requestScope.parameter}"/>
                  </af:commandLink>You can then access this value on the next page without making the paramater visible to others.
    This can be done with the code Simon provided.

  • How can I pass a value into a page fragment?

    How can I pass a value into a page fragment?
    I am implementing four search screens. And the only thing different about them will be their backing bean.
    So I’d like to do something like have four pages, each which retrieves its appropriate backing bean, sets that bean to a variable, and then includes a page fragment which contains the generic search page code (which will make use of that variable).
    The code in the four pages would be something like this:
    <?xml version='1.0' encoding='windows-1252'?>
    <jsp:root xmlns:jsp="http://java.sun.com/JSP/Page" version="2.0"
    xmlns:c="http://java.sun.com/jsp/jstl/core">
    <jsp:directive.page contentType="text/html;charset=windows-1252"/>
    <c:set var="searchPageBackingBean"
    value="#{pageFlowScope.employeeSearchPageBean}"
    scope="page"/>
    <jsp:include page="./SearchPageBody.jsff"/>
    </jsp:root>
    At this point, what I’m seeing is that the fragment page, SearchPageBody.jsff, has no visibility of the searchPageBackingBean variable, either referencing it as #{pageFlowScope.searchPageBackingBean} or just #{searchPageBackingBean}

    The following will work, assuming you are needing to access a managed bean:
    Put this in the parent page:
    <c:set var="nameOfSearchPageBackingBean"
    value="employeeSearchPageBean"
    scope="request"/>
    Put this in the child, SearchPageBody.jsff:
    <c:set var="searchPageBean"
    value="#{pageFlowScope[nameOfSearchPageBackingBean]}"
    scope="page"/>

  • How to I get on to page 2 when my document stops at the page 1 layout line and won't go on to another page?

    How to I get on to page 2 when my document stops at the page 1 layout line and won't go on to another page?

    Sounds like you are using a Layout template. These you have to manually link from textbox to textbox.
    Try using a Word Processing template, it lists them in the sidebar of the Template Chooser.

  • How can i pass the  parameter for strored procedure from java

    dear all,
    I am very new for stored procedure
    1. I want to write the strored procedure for insert.
    2. How can i pass the parameter for that procedure from java.
    if any material available in internet create procedure and call procedure from java , and passing parameter to procedure from java

    Hi Ram,
    To call the callable statement use the below sample.
    stmt = conn.prepareCall("{call <procedure name>(?,?)}");
    stmt.setString(1,value);//Input parameter
    stmt.registerOutParameter(2,Types.BIGINT);//Output parameter
    stmt.execute();

  • How do I pass URL parameter after Update record?

    I have an update record page that successfully updates a record, but when it is redirected to the page it came from it loses any parameters to filter record sets to obtain the correct records.
    When I try to use the Parameters dialog box from the Update Records "select a redirect" dialog box, it results in an error indicator in front of the Update Records line in the Server Behavior, and the web page ceases to update the records.
    How do I pass a parameter to the next page?
    Thanks

    I have found a work around for this issue. By selecting the Insert or Update button and adding a hyperlink with parameter settings. The Hyperlink has the same destination as the Insert records Behavior. When the button is clicked it performs the Insert, and passes the parameters to the destination page..

    You should close this parameters with single quotation. Try this -
    Select '&lt;a href="javascript:popUp2('''

  • In portlets, how to use a html form passing  values to the another page?

    it is well known that in web developing , we have two methods to pass values to another page.<!--
    1. passing values
    2.<form action="nextPage" method ="post"></form>-->
    but how to use two methods in oracle portal portlets?
    I have got a simple example which submit two values to the page for itself, means a page has a form with submit botton, user input the form with values and then submit them by submit botton, then the page recevice those values and show it .

    Hi Moonsoft,
    I have already answered this query in the other post at Re: how to link more than one links in portlet?(jsp develop)
    <form name = "showPageForm" method = "POST" action = "<%= UrlUtils.htmlFormActionLink(pReq,UrlUtils.PAGE_LINK) %>">
      <%= UrlUtils.htmlFormHiddenFields(pReq,UrlUtils.PAGE_LINK, "showPageForm") %>
      <input type="text" name="param1">
      <input type="text" name="param2">
      <input type="hidden" name="myPPN" value="/htdocs/page2.jsp">
    </form>then in your jsp code on page2.jsp, you will extract the parameters by specifying
    <%
      String p1 = request.getParameter("param1");
      String p2 = request.getParameter("param2");
    %>
    >>this is easy common jsp or asp development, but in oracle is too diffcult!!!!
    :-) .. there is a difference between web-applications and portlets, you just need to get used to it once. I hope this does clarify your doubts.

  • HOW TO PASS A PARAMETER TO UIX PAGE FROM APPS' FUNCTIONS FORM?

    Hello,
    We created a form function (in Sys Admin resp) for a UIX page. The Type field
    is 'SSWA plsql function that opens a new window (Kiosk Mode)'. The HTML Call
    field is 'POBarCode.uix'.
    We have to pass the username (who logs in) to the UIX page. If we pass it
    literaly, (e.g. POBarCode.uix?MyParam1=BBASTIN), it works. We tried following
    two options to pass it as a variable in HTML Call field:
    POBarCode.uix?MyParam1=fnd_profile.value('USER_ID')
    POBarCode.uix?MyParam1=$PROFILE$.USERNAME
    Both variable show up as is in the UIX page. How can we pass the username as a
    variable on tHe HTML Call?
    Thanks, Ali.

    Hi guojun yu,
    As per my understanding, you use parameters related to country and office UI langs as search condition in the report, you want to provide part of countries/office UI langs values as values of parameter, then all records will be displayed in the report.
    In Reporting Services, parameters are used to filter data, after we selected values of parameter and preview the report, only data meets search condition will be displayed in the report. To display all records in the report, we need to use all values of
    countries/office UI langs as values of parameter. For detail information, please refer to the following steps:
      1. Create separate dataset for each parameter with the query like below:
    Select distinct CountryRegion from TableName
      2. In design mode, right-click Parameters and click Add Parameter.
      3. In Parameter Properties dialog box, in name and prompt text box, type CountryRegion. Select Allow multiple values.
      4. Click Available Values in left pane, select Get values from a query, select dataset from drop down list, select CountryRegion from Value field and Label field drop down list.
      5. Create parameter @OfficeUiLang, @OsLocale, @IsMobile like step1 to 4 above.
      6. Modify the stored procedure used to retrieve data for the report like below:
    SELECT *
    FROM AggregateDataByDate AllSessions
    WHERE UserID != 'NULL'
    AND CountryRegion in @CountryRegion
    AND OfficeUiLang in @OfficeUiLang
    AND OsLocale in @OsLocale
    AND IsMobile in @IsMobile
    AND [UsageDate] >= @DataCutOffDate
    For detail information about Adding a multi-value parameter to a Report, please refer to the following document:

  • How can i pass a parameter into paintComponent()?

              Rectangle box = new Rectangle(i, a, 15, 15);
    g2.draw(box);
    this is my paintComponent method. as far as i'm concerned, all our codings for drawing must be inside this method rite? My assignment is to create something like a cinema ticket system where we will display all the seats then user enters a position then we mark it. when i prompt the user for the position..how do i pass it into this method? pls help me. obviously the coding to prompt is in another .java file.

    //this is my main

              static JLabel input, input2;
         private static void test(){
              JFrame frame = new JFrame("Aeroplane Seating");

    frame.setDefaultCloseOperation(JFrame.EXIT_ON_CLOSE);
              frame.setVisible(true);
              String prompt = JOptionPane.showInputDialog("Enter x");
         input = new JLabel("You have entered " +prompt);
    String prompt 2= JOptionPane.showInputDialog("Enter x");
         input 2= new JLabel("You have entered " +prompt2);
              RectangleComponent component = new RectangleComponent();
    frame.add(component);
              frame.setVisible(true);
    private static void createAndShowGUI()
         JFrame.setDefaultLookAndFeelDecorated(true);
              test();
    public static void main(String[] args)
    createAndShowGUI();
    //now this is my paint component in another file
    public class RectangleComponent extends JComponent
    public void paintComponent(Graphics g)
    Graphics2D g2 = (Graphics2D) g;
              for(int i = 150;i<=250;i+=20)
                   for(int a = 50;a<=200;a+=50)
              Rectangle box = new Rectangle(i, a, 15, 15);
    g2.draw(box);}
              for(int i = 60;i<=160;i+=20)
                   for(int a = 240;a<=820;a+=15)
              Rectangle box = new Rectangle(i, a, 15, 15);
    g2.draw(box);
    first of all, i ask the user to enter 2 inputs which are x and y. so now how do i pass in the x and y into paint component method so i can mark/draw the box?

  • How can I pass the value to another frame?

    Hi all,
    The following is part of my coding of a frame. Once i click on the jButton2, the selected value will be stored into a variable named NAME and the value will be displayed by a label in same frame. At the same time, a new frame named TESTING3 will be set to visible.
    private void jButton2ActionPerformed(java.awt.event.ActionEvent evt)
    // TODO add your handling code here:
        String name = (String)jList1.getSelectedValue();
        jLabel1.setText(name);       //display the value in a label in same frame
        new testing3().setVisible(true);     //a new frame set to visible
    }      Question: How can I pass the value to TESTING3 frame and display it on that frame?
    Thanks,
    ning.

  • How do I pass SELECT-OPTIONS to another screen via CALL TRANSACTION?

    Good day, everyone!
    I am writing a program that will be passing PARAMETERS and SELECT-OPTIONS values to another transaction via the CALL TRANSACTION statement.  I'm new at this, and I've run into a problem.  I have several fields that are defined as SELECT-OPTIONS, like so:
    SELECT-OPTIONS so_ccode FOR fkkop-bukrs.
    The user may select multiple values, enter a range, exclude certain values, etc. -- the things a SELECT-OPTIONS allows.
    But how do I pass all of this to a field on another screen using CALL TRANSACTION when I only have two fields (BDCDATA-FNAM and BDCDATA-FVAL) available to me?  That works fine for PARAMETERS, but I can send low/high values, different signs/options, etc. for the SELECT-OPTIONS variables.
    Please help!!  Points awarded for all helpful answers.
    Thank you,
    Dave

    Don't use CALL TRANSACTION. Use SUBMIT instead.

  • How to pass date parameter from one page to other in BSP application

    Hello gurus,
    In my BSP application i have taken an input field and made its type "date" and its value also of type date and have set showhelp .
    Now once a particular date is given as an input i want to pass its value to next page. And in next page i have to fire a query based on the date entered in previous page...
    Now my prb is that my date value is not getting passed to the next page.
    I have used
    navigation->set_parameter( name = 'BEGDA' value = BEGDA ).
    to pass date parameter.....still parameter is not getting passed.
    plz help me with this.....
    thankx.....

    Hi Eddy,
    By truncation i mean the entire date becomes 10 char including the ' . ' eg(06.12.2006).
    so with begda being 8chars it takes my date as 06.12.200
    as a result my query is not getting executed.
    now i have tried to use a FM  'CONVERT_DATE_TO_INTERN_FORMAT'.
    in my 1st page but still in 2nd page its giving me following error.
    <b>The data that was read could not be written to the specified target field during a SELECT access. Either the conversion is not supported for the type of the target field, or the target field is too short to accept the value, or the data is not in the appropriateformat for the target field.
    </b>
