Is it possible to access the data from multiple CSV files from a single Omniportlet? And if so, how would one go about this please?

    Thanks in advance for reading this and offering any wisdom you have! I am not an expert in any of the following, so apologies if off base.
    The basic problem is: I need to use Excel 2013 to support Excel 2003 (XLS) spreadsheets containing VBA 'CommandBars' references which don't seem to work in Excel 2013. Details below.
    Most of our users are still using older desktop windows PCs and Office 2003!  We are beginning to upgrade to laptops running Windows 8.1 with Office 2013.  Of course, we IT technical people are using the new laptops first. These new laptops are
    64 bit.
    Years ago, someone did a lot of development with spreadsheets here in Excel 2003 file formats that automates many activities and routines. Now we with the new laptops are having to support this development using new machines.
    There is a basic compatibility issue that appears when first opening these Excel 2003 files that have VBA code that I'll detail below; I seem able to get by that problem.
    The current problem appears to be that the existing Excel 2003 VBA code has many references to: "For Each bar In Application.CommandBars". As I've learned, the Application.CommandBars VBA functionality is focused on older MS Office versions' menu
    commands, but "...Starting from Office 2007 the Fluent UI is used instead."  In other words, because MS Office isn't menu-driven beginning with version 2007 (uses 'the ribbon'), it appears that these references to: "For Each bar In Application.CommandBars"
    create a basic incompatibility to opening these spreadsheets in Office 2013.
    For a spreadsheet, after I resolve the issue detailed below and save it, when I reopen it I encounter error "Compile error: can't find project or library." 
    For example, the following code snippet:
    Private Sub Workbook_Open()
    For Each bar In Application.CommandBars
            bar.Enabled = False
        Next
    results in: "Compile error: can't find project or library." 
    (Sorry, can't include images yet, I am not a VERIFIED USER of this forum yet.)
    I went into VBE's menu: Tools>References and check for anything marked MISSING, which I deselected. But I am still receiving this error.
    I don't want to get into changing the code a lot to support both Excel 2003 and 2013 (I am no VBA expert, just a dabbler).
    And Microsoft officially says that Office 2003 is incompatible with Windows 8 although Application.CommandBars seem to be somewhat supported in Office 2013 .
    Are you aware of a quick VBA workaround to get by this?
    •I could comment out the validations, commands for: "For Each bar In Application.CommandBars" but then the spreadsheet code probably won't work for users using Office 2003.
    Alternatives would be:
    •Installing Office 2003 on my Win 8.1 64 bit laptop anyway, in spite of MS's saying incompatible, since this thread discusses at least one person has been able to use Office 2003
    •Keeping one older PC with Office 2003 on it for us to support the old Office 2003 code until everyone upgrades their systems

    Basic compatibility issue that seems solvable:
    Opening these spreadsheets displays this error:
    Compile error:
    The code in this project must be updated for use on 64-bit systems.
    Please review and update Declare statements and then mark them with the PtrSafe attribute.
    This seems resolvable by going into the VBA code and just adding element 'PtrSafe' where functions are declared; in other words, replacing VBA code "Declare Function" with "Declare PtrSafe Function" seems to get by this.

I have downloaded Neo Office and could use it to create a new spreadsheet but can't import my previously created ones. Must I retype then? Or...as an alternative, I have iWorks.   • Critical Error while saving a workbook as local spreadsheet

    Hello,
    We have recently upgraded from BW 3.5 to BI 7.0 and users are intermittently experiencing problems when trying to save a BI workbook as a local spreadsheet file. Sometimes when they try several times eventually they are able to save it other times they are unable to. It does not seem to be memory related or related to the size of the data from the queries in the workbook.
    The message they receive is: A critical program error has occured. The program will now terminate. Please refer to the trace for furthur information.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Please close your SharePoint Designer application, clear/delete the cached files and folders under the following directories from your server installed SharePoint Designer, then check results again.

    Hi Kirsten,
    Copy the section you want to print, Insert a new Sheet into your document, Paste the copied contents into the Table that comes with that sheet. Print that sheet.
    If this will be a regular need, you might consider building a breakout table to contain the data you'll print. A search for "breakout" should bring up some examples (or check some of the "More Like This" linke to the right.
    Numbers doesn't support a means of printing a selected section of a document, probably because the design model is of a document containing many small specific purpose tables, rather than the single monolithic table that is the model in other spreadsheet applications.

    I'm a teacher, and I've built a fairly substantial, personalized gradebook/student data spreadsheet in Numbers 3.0 for iCloud on my personal ca. 2011 MBP.  Every evening when I'm home from school, I transcribe into it my daily handwritten notes on student progress, missing homeworks, test scores, etc.  It can be pretty laborious.  What I'd like to do, in the interest of efficiency, is load my gradebook/spreadsheet onto a school-provided iPad, and then use it to walk around the classroom and check off homework/attendance/whatnot on the fly.  The issue:  all of the iPads at school are all registered to district iCloud accounts, and locked down and inaccessible to teachers. I can't save to them, and I can't access them w/o reams of red tape and administration.  So what i want to know is: is there a way I can load the spreadsheet onto a school-provided iPad for on-the-go recording purposes, even if temporarily?
    To clarify: I do not have access to iCloud settings on the school's iPads, and I am issued a different iPad nearly every time I wish to use one.  The iPad user accounts do not "belong" to me – they are accounts shared with other teachers, etc., and I would prefer if my gradebook was not accessible to anybody who shared the equipment. I want to look at a Numbers 3.0 documents on a private iCloud account unassociated with school.  What to do?

    Thanks! I've turned iCloud and Photostream on and the new photos are coming through. I emailed my older photos to myself (there weren't that many) to then download to the iPad.
    For future reference, do you know how to import older images into Photostream?

    In Numbers 3.x, The Print View and Layout View have gone (for now at least). Page Headers and Footers can only be reached under Menu > File > Print... to open Print Preview. Hover the cursor to reveal the Page Header and Footer fields.
    The only inserts that I can get to work in Print Preview are Page Number, Page Count and Date & Time. Filename is no longer in the Insert menu.

    The 8 points of data is going into one column in the spreadsheet. In the "Write to spreadsheet file string.vi" how do I write the 8 points to one row for each cycle?
    I got this VI from NI's web a couple of years ago and forgot how to modify this part. I usume it is within the write file.vi.

    I just reread your original post and the way the "Write to Spreadsheet File.vi" that ships with LV works by default is to put 1D arrays into rows. I read your post backwards and told you how to put the data in a column. Sorry.
    In any case, perhaps you need to make sure the Transpose input ISN'T true, and that the delimiter IS a tab.

    First check the version of the document with Jongware's script "Identify.jsx" (ExtendScript/JavaScript).

    If it is CS 5.5 or above, you need someone to open it in the version the script says and export an IDML representation from that. Another way would be to install a 30days version of CS6 or above (CC) and do it yourself.
    In regards of the script showing a result for InDesign files higher than CS6:
    CS7 = CC v9
    CS8 = CC v10 = CC-2014 or CC2014.1

    You can compile the data from multiple PDF forms into a single spreadsheet in Acrobat, if that's what you're asking. I can't say for sure where that command is in Acrobat 9, but it should be somewhere under Document or Advanced...
