OMR marks in dynamic subforms

Hi,
I would like to know how to apply OMR values to dynamic forms.
I understand I need to do a pre-process to return the page n of n but there is no reference in our manual that describes how to insert OMR marks on the final output (including nth mark).
Currently we do not use dynamic subforms for multiple detail pages for this reason but due to increasing demand we need a workable solution.
I would greatly appreciate any help available.

The easiest way to apply OMR marks to any document is to use a handy Windows application I found called Mail Markup.
It operates in a similar way to a printer driver which means you can use it alongside almost any application.

Hi, I have a schema bound to a form that utilizes a dynamic subform (min=1, max= unlimited occurrences of the subform).
I was wondering if someone might take a look at the form and schema to see if I have defined everything correctly and bound it correctly. The form has three layers of subforms, which are not needed for this particular example, but I just kept them there. I was trying to skinny down the form for the purpose of an example here, but left some leftover subforms out there ;-) My main concern is that I have the "Form1099INT" (dynamic) subform represented properly.
Anyway, if one could take a look, to see if I'm on target, I would really appreciate it! Thanks! Form and schema are mailed to livecycle8

Dynamic Subform not showing up after saving and opening.

After I fill out the pdf, save it, and open it, the dynamic subform does not appear. There are currently 2 subforms that are controlled by checkboxes and function in the following manner:
-If the "No" checkbox is checked, the "SubmissionNo" subform should appear, the "Submission" subform should be hidden, and the "Yes" checkbox should be unchecked
-If the "Yes" checkbox is checked, the "Submission" subform should appear, the "SubmissionNo" subform should be hidden, and the "No" checkbox should be unchecked
Both checkboxes default to being unchecked and save properly, but after I close the pdf and then open it, the appropriate subform that should be showing is still hidden despite having the "Yes" or "No" checkbox being checked.
I have the following script in the docReady of SubmissionNo:

and I have the following script in the docReady of Submission:

That should work. You're missing semicolons after each statement and I thought that might be tripping it up but it worked fine when I tested it, every statement in JavaScript should end with a semicolon but if there is just one line I guess it works ok (see below).

When you are in Acrobat press CTRL-J and the JavaScript console should open. Then click the checkbox and see if any error messages appear in the console window.
If that doesn't show anything if you can share your form via acrobat.com (or some other file sharing site) then I can take a look. If you use acrobat.com then once you have uploaded the file you need to select it and Share it and then Publish it, then you can paste the link here.

WebService and dynamic subform

Hi all!
I have this situation: i need to execute a call to a webservice, passing to
it the value that is contained in a dynamic generated field called
string[*]. I don't know how many strings I will pass to the webservice:
named it "i".
So I have to do multiple calls to the same webservice, more precisely i
calls to the webservice.
Value has to be inserted in dynamic subforms, that are generated i times,
after we received the value of "i".
But even if the value of the string[*] are correct, I received only one
answer that contains the value of the fields of the last string I passed.
In all the binded fields for each subform I can see the same values.
How can I do in order to obtain the correct value for each string?

Insert OMR mark to specific page

I want to be able to add an OMR mark to the second to last page of all my PDFs. This mark will alert the rollfed press that it is the end of the docuement. I have the image file but don't know how to place it in the document and how to stipulate which page to place it on. The documents don't all have the same amount of pages. Can I do this using javascript?

I tried to create an actionlist. It wouldn't allow me to place it on the second to last page. It either wanted specific page numbers, first or last page or ranges of pages. I wanted to create a javascript that way I could apply it to only the second to last page.
Is this possible? The watermark tool has the same page functions as the actionlist so it doesn't work for what I need.

How Do I Display Quotation Marks in Dynamic HTML Text

Check marks or dynamic items for run-time shortcut menus

I'd like to create a run-time shortcut menu for my Xcontrol, that would

2) dynamically modify the run-time shortcut menu content

Hi Tomi,
Great question. Yes, you can do what you want with run-time shortcut menus in LabVIEW 8.0. If you want to dynamically modify the menu content, you have to do it in the "Shortcut Menu Activation?" event in the facade VI of the XControl. In the event data for this event is a parameter called "MenuRef" which works with the same menu primitives that have been around since LabVIEW 5 for editing the menu bar at run-time.
With these primitives, you can add/delete/modify menu items to the shortcut menu. The items that are already in the MenuRef when this event case executes are always the ones that are statically defined, either by LabVIEW or by customizing them. You do not have control over the state of the items that LabVIEW adds, but you can remove them and add ones with the same text (just with a different tag). In your case, you would probably want to use the Insert Menu Item primitive to add an item such as "Toggle State". Give it a tag such as "USER_TOGGLE_STATE". Then you'll want to use the Set Menu Item Info primitive to set the checkmark for that item based on the state of the XControl.
Then, you'll need to add an event case for the "Shortcut Menu Selection (User)" event so you can handle the item being selected. Wire the Item Tag parameter from the event data to a case structure and add a case to look for "USER_TOGGLE_STATE". And in that case, toggle the state of your XControl. That's all you need to do!
The Dual Mode Thermomter shipping example in <LabVIEW 8.0>\examples\general\xcontrols\Dual Mode Thermometer\Simple Dual Mode Thermometer XControl.lvproj is a simple example of how you can modify the menu and respond to the items selected. It's a little different than what you want to do, but it might help you to look at it.

Open search-field (STRG+F) and mark words dynamicly

an customer wishes to open the search-field which is shown after hitting strg+f automatically when opening his pdf documents. Is there an javascript snippet or some startup options to get this task done? It has to work also in the browser plug-ins of acrobat reader.
2.
if the pdf is downloaded via an search form, the customer whishes to mark the searched words in the pdf as if they where searched via strg+f manually.
Can i do something like this:
a) write search words as metadata "Stichwörter" (not sure if it's called "glossary words" in the english version of Acrobat) dynamicly in an copy of the file with php. I tried to do this via search+replace with an prepared file - it did modified it as i expect but i destroyed the encoding and the PDF wasn't viewable anymore.
b) read the "Stichwörter" metadata with an javascript snippet and mark them in the File dynamicly?
It isn't possible to create the PDF File from scratch easily with the free PHP libs 'cause they are "searchable" Scans of Documents and the OCR recognition isn't perfekt.
There is an little budget to get this task done. So if i could'nt solve it by myself, my customer would apretiate your offers.

Creating a Dynamic Subform with Add button

I am working in LiveCycle ES and I am trying to create a form that will have a user inputed heading that will show at the top of each page along with dynamically added subforms and can not seem to get the button to dynamically replicate the sub form to work. I have the form saved as a dynamic pdf and the subforms are set to flow. Any help would be appreciated. I can send form if it will help.

I am having the exact same problem. The subform I want to duplicate is not a table. I had to wrap my subform in another subform to maintain the position of the fields. The button is contained in the larger subform, which is set to flow. My hieracrchy looks like this:
DateGridSubform (this subform is set to flow)
DataGrid
(various subform fields)
AddButton (this subform is set to positioned)
Any assistance available would be greatly appreciated.

I am working on a report(Purchase Order) whose requiremets are like this:
1. It contains a Header. a detail part and a footer(trailer). The header and footer should get printed on every page.
2. The detail part consists of 8 subforms.
Some of the subforms may have large data (basically the shipment or line information of a Purchase Order which may repeat based on the number of lines on a purchase order).In some cases some subforms may not have data at all, so these should not be printed when there is no data.
When the data is large and is overflowing into the next page the header and trailer are not getting printed on the next page.
3. When one of the field is overflowing in a subform all the other fields are alligned to the bottom line of the overflowing field.
Has any one worked on these kind of requirements or if any one knows how these can be achieved , please post your inputs.

I would like to elaborate what exactly my problem is . In the detail part of my report all the subforms should be in a rectangular box with the detail header. So Should i make the Rectangular box as a seperate subform i should draw lines along with each subform which would be part of that subform.
When I tried making the box as a seperate subform the subforms data is appearing after the box in the Test Presentment but my requirement is that the data should be printed in the rectangular box.
Can anyone suggest how i should go about this problem.

Displaying radio buttons with dynamic subforms between 2 radio buttons

I am very new to Adobe Designer/Form Server and had the following question.
Our form is going to have the following display
Radio A
Radio B
Radio B1
List of text boxes
Radio B2
Radio C
Radio C1
List of text boxes
Radio C2
When the form is first displayed, user sees Radio A, Radio B and Radio C, right below each other. When the user selects Radio B, Radio B1 and Radio B2 should appear, and the Radio C should 'slide' down to accomodate Radio B1 and B2.
Similarly, when the user clicks Radio B1, List of text boxes should appear and Radio B2 should 'slide' down to accomodate those text boxes.
Is this possible? Can anyone please send me a sample code/design?

Well I got the form to work by copying the Options List Java Script code in change to docReady and adding if(this.rawValue==0). This produces the result that I need.
To clean this up I would like to put this code in a Script Object so I can use the same code in both change and docReady. I’m not a programmer so I’m not sure what additional code I have to put in the Script Object and what code I have to put in change and docReady to use the Script Object. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Tab Order of Dynamic Table or subform

I have a page with few subforms. At this subforms are dynamic tables or dynamic subforms. How does the tab order works in this kind of layout.
Some time I have a few subforms or tables group together when activiate the tab order form the menu [View->Tab order]. I have the tab order arranged for a dynamic subform. When I preview and add a few instance of the subform (call it subform A), the first instance tab order follow what was set. But when tab to second instance of subform (subform A), the cursor just when to another subform (subform B). Why is that so? Shouldn't it just continue to the second instance?

I have faced with the same problem also. So as a temporary solution, in the exit event of the last item in the table, I changed the focus to the next instance's first item. Not a good way. If there is any different solution, waiting also.

Installing Windows 7 on a dynamic disk

Hi,
Here's my situation, I have two hard drives, the first has three partitions, a primary partition for Windows XP, a second partition that I want to install Windows 7 on, and a third partition with 8MB of space which is some kind of recovery partition by the manufacturer. The second hard drive is for data and games.
So I tried to install Windows 7 on the second partition, I booted into the DVD and click advanced installation, the second hard drive and the second partition are marked as dynamic and when I click on them it says that I can't install Windows 7. When I click on the primary partition that has Windows XP the continue button is activated again.
My question is, can I convert the dynamic disk to a basic disk without losing any data on the Windows XP partition? I don't care about data on the second partition since I was going to install Windows 7 on it anyway.
Also, is there anyway to install Windows 7 without converting since I'm looking for the least amount of headache.

In Windows Vista/2008 and Windows 7, in order to guarantee data’s security, their installation program dose not allow operating system is installed on dynamic disk. To convert the dynamic disk to a basic disk and avoid data having been lost, you could try to use Dynamic Disk Converter, it's able to convert back to basic disk without losing any data. Stop dynamic updating of ldap from radius

We use iPlanet v.4.12 ldap server with radius extensions. At some point in time we have started dynamic updating of the ldap server with session information from the radius server and now I can't find out how to turn off this dynamic updating. I have removed the check mark beside Dynamic accounting in the console configuration page for the radius server, but am still getting the following error messages by the thousand

Solved this.
When you turn off dynamic accounting in the console, the schema is changed from Dynamic=yes to Dynamic=false. I went in and manually adjusted the schema to Dynamic=no and dynamic accounting was finally turned off.
Just in case anyone else has the same problem.
