When I've closed Firefox and want to re-open it in the same session, I get a message that I have to close an open Firefox window before being able to use Firefox again. There is nothing to close.

I had this exact same problem with the new iPhone I bought on 1/4/13. The walk through they provide on how to do this is useless because it fails to explain that if you are already having the problem of not getting the "None" payment option with an Apple ID then you will need to create a completely new Apple ID.
I had to do this 7 times since I bought my iPhone on Friday until this morning to figure out how to finally be able to use the Home Sharing option in iTunes to put my music collection on my brand new $500.00 iPhone. Pretty pathetic if you ask me but since it made me so angry I want to make sure other know how to do this so you don't get as upset as I did.
#1 If your current or soon to be "old" Apple ID is not providing the option for "None" as a payment option then you need to make a brand new one. But you have to make it specifically how I tell you.
#2 You will need to use an email address that has not already been used for anything related to a previous Apple ID. You might need to make a brand new email address.
#3 Open iTunes, then open iTunes Store (upper right corner of iTunes).
#4 Click on App Store (upper center of screen).
#5 Scroll down the screen page until you see Top Free Apps on the right side.
#6 Choose any one of the FREE apps.
#7 You should either get the option to create a new Apple ID box, either that, or it will pop up with some kind of disclaimer and then it does the create new Apple ID.
Either way just create a new Apple ID when it gives you the option to and then when you get to the page that looks like the payment page the "None" payment option will finally be available.
Note: You will still have to fill out the information on the payment page. As long as you choose the "None" option it will not request any credit card information.
#8 You will be sent a confirmation email to the new email account. Just follow through with what ever it tells you and viola now you can use your Apple Device.

PSE 8 - Don't get the option to SAVE AS to JPEG format

When I open my raw files and make changes, and then try to SAVE AS to the JPEG format, I don't even get the option. I only get a few options. PSD, TIFF, PNG. Any help would be appreciated.

You've probably opened the file in the full Editor as 16-bit rather than 8-bit; JPEGs can only save in 8-bit. Two ways to open it in the full Editor as 8-bit:
- In the ACR editor, set Depth to 8-bit before opening the image in the full Editor.
- In the full Editor, do Image > Mode > 8 Bits.

What locations are you seeing these "problems"? If the satellite photos are older or not as clear, you may see some of what you describe. Take a look at one of the major cities and see if they are also appearing as you describe. Someplace like New York, London, Paris. Those are among the cities that seem to be updated most frequently.
Incidentally, the maps are web/cloud based and not contained within the maps app on your iPad, so regardless of the version of your app, you will still get the most current map available.

When I try to right click "Save As" on photos in my yahoo email, I only get the option of saving as a secure download firefox document. How can I save the photo as it is intended (jpeg, png) ?

If Firefox doesn't saves the image with a valid image file extension like .jpg or .png then you need to add that file extensions yourself. You can rename already saved images and change the file extension to get working images. Add quotes around the name while renaming ("image.jpg") if Windows hides the current file extension or refuses to change the name (i.e you get image.jpg.html).
Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
* Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
* Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

After a visit to the apple store, they were able to get through my pass code but unfortunately I found out that is was a problem with the logic board. Since Apple only wants to sell and not fix, I was able to locate an iphone repair near me that deals with logic boards and they are currently working on it right now. i should be getting it back soon. Im not sure if the problem you are experiencing is the same as i went through but it does sound like it may be also a hardware issue and would suggest searching online for an iphone repair place that can diagnose what exactly is wrong. If you close Firefox properly the problem will practically disappear.
To close Firefox properly:

last window use File → Exit/Quit (or Firefox button → Exit).  Closing Firefox with the [X] in the upper right corner closes the window ("Ctrl+W") but that does not necessarily close Firefox if it has subtasks running.  If you want to close and reopen Firefox use the "Restart" within Add-ons if you made a change requiring a restart, or install "[https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/restartless-restart/ Restartless Restart]" ("Ctrl+Alt+R") which will allow you to take Firefox down and restart without having to check the Windows Task Manager to see if Firefox first actually ended. In checking the Windows Task Manager be sure to check the "Process" tab not the "Application"tab/

I cannot download individual pictures from ebay. When I right click the picture (enlarged) or the small picture I don't get the option to "save picture as". Is this a firefox problem or a yahoo problem?

I always use firefox to browse the internet. When I attempt to save a picture from ebay I have always enlarged the picture, right click, the clicked "save picture as". Now when I right click I don't get that option. All it will let me do is save the entire ebay item file. When I right click on the enlarged picture, the small picture, or the white near the enlarged photo my icon choices are: 1.Copy 2. Select All 3.Yahoo 4. Search Yahoo for "Please wait imag" 5. Adobe reader 10.3 for iPad. I don't get the options to rename files, create folders, etc.

PDF files downloaded from safari have weird names. I use open in, adobe reader, documents, click edit, click wrench icon. I get only the option to delete. I want to rename the file and organize it in folders. I don't see any option to create folders. Pls help.

What kind of iOS device are you using? If you know, what version of iOS?
If you have a very old device, it may not have all the options available.

Hard Drive Partition (I don't get the option to partition)

I recently bought the Satellite Pro u400-142 and have installed XP pro from the recovery DVD. I am trying to partition my hard drive but am having difficulties in doing so. When in disk manager I right click the primary drive to bring up the partition wizard but the option is not there for me to create a partition (it has been greyed out).
Does anybody know why this is and how can I partition my hard drive?

No surprise there. My guess is that there is no unused space on that drive.
In any case, you cannot use Disk Management (diskmgmt.msc) in Windows XP to repartition a drive containing Windows or its boot files. That is for other drives.
Repartitioning is done outside of Windows, ordinarily with third-party software. I just repartitioned a laptop's disk containing Windows XP in order to add Windows 7. I used this free partition manager.

How to "Archive & Install" when you don't get the option?

I have installed Leopard twice now. Both times I never saw the option to "Archive & Install". I am stuck because Leopard will not log me in, and I understand that "Archive & Install" is the cure.
The installer simply proceeds to install Leopard without pause. I am using the Mac OS X Upgrade DVD on a new iMac.
Any suggestions?

I'm not sure what options the upgrade DVD gives. Perhaps someone else will know. You might also try searching these discussions for other posts on this topic.
