On my ipod it deleted all my music but when i plug my ipod in all the music is there but it wont let me play it. how do i get my music back?

i plugged my ipod in and i tried to play a song and a grey explanation mark showed up and it wouldn't play and when i looked at my ipod it didnt have any music on it, when before it had like more than 500 songs. but now everytime i plug it in all my music shows up but it wont play and it only says i dont have any music on my ipod. i really dont want to have to put ALL those songs back on and im hoping there is a way i can fix it.

I am having the same problem. I have just tried this. Unplug iphone > open itunes > delete all music from itunes library > close itunes > re-open itunes > add music from original folder > plug in iphone > select songs > press sync > unplug iphone using eject button onscreen > checked phone .... still nothing in music folder on phone. On itunes the "On this iphone" tab the songs remain there but greyed out.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

i think i might have a solution... i have windows vista and after i installed to latest itunes update everytime i tried to open it it would freeze. I tried everything, including uninstalling itunes and all of its components and reinstalled it numerous times. So i went to the itunes folder in my folders, not on itunes, and i deleted my itunes library and playlists. After that it worked just fine, all of my music was deleted but luckily i had my files saved elsewhere.
I hope this helped! I know its frustrating and APPLE/ITUNES NEED TO FIX THE PROBLEM!!!!

Bought app in order to sync itunes with a blackberry playbook. Now Itunes will open on my computer but when i plug my ipods in to charge or sync, itunes is not showing that they are plugged in. Cant charge or anything!

Obviously not too smart with all this technology. I puchased a Blackberry Playbook Tablet and wanted to sync my itunes music, so following directions on the Playbook, I downloaded this app - Daniel Bingham Itunes sync - and when I went to my pc, I pulled it up, plugged in my Playbook and it did sync all my music from my Itunes library to the Playbook. However, now when I plug an ipod in my pc to charge or sync more music, my pc is not showing it recognizes any of my ipods being plugged in. It makes no mention of any of my ipods being connected! Not that it helps, but this is why I wish they would just go back to customer activations at home instead of activating iPhones in store. They do it there, then 3 or 4 or 5 months later, the user gets around to plugging it in to iTunes for the first time only to have all their contacts as well as apps and music they've purchased wiped out without ever having backed it up...
You can try to restore the phone. It 'should' have been backed up before the initial sync, but I'm not positive about that. I'm not in front of a machine with iTunes now and don't want to steer you wrong. There should be a number of helpful threads here. Use the search box at the top of the page, you should be able to find step by step instructions if it's still possible.

If you had a passcode on the phone when turning on Lost Mode, lost mode is supposed to use that passcode to lock the phone. When found, entering the passcode should unlock the phone. I'm assuming that's what you're trying to do, correct? However, if the phone is now saying it is "Disabled"...after too many wrong passcode attempts, then you have no choice but to restore the phone. Once disabled, you won't get another attempt to enter the passcode.

I recently upgraded to ios 8.0.2 on the iPhone 5. One new feature I noticed was a grey box that listed word suggestions to add to a text as it was being typed (not to be confused with the auto correct or original word bubble that pops up for autocomplete). It disappeared and I am not sure why or how I can get this feature back.

If there is a thin gray bar with a white dash in the middle immediately above the keyboard, you can reopen the suggestions by placing a finger on the white dash and dragging up.
You can turn the suggestions on/off by going to Settings > General > Keyboard > Predictives
