You're probably talking about the handset with an arrow pointing up and to the right. That indicates an outgoing call.

For some reason, when I try and click on form and search history under the clear history tab it's greyed out (all of the other options for clearing history are available)

I am using Mavericks. In Mail I had a list of VIPS and used it extensively. Now it has disappeared and VIPs on the menu bar is faded. There is nil response to VIP in help. Can you tell me what has happened?

4.3.5 is the current version, so that is the version that iTunes will download, not 4.3.3

I am trying to update my apps but I am receiving an invalid address box. Can anyone tell me what is going on with this box? I put my correct info in and the box continues to pop up.
There are a number of threads about it - it looks like Apple recently updated their address validation. Some people have recorded success by :
ensuring that their iTunes account address is exactly the same as appears on their credit card bill
putting something in the second line of the address (including just copying the first line)
expanding abbreviations e.g. St to Street, Ave to Avenue etc (or conversely abbreviating)
putting apartment or suite number on the second address line -

There's no name for the pattern. The photo was printed on a paper having a surface texture, and that texture was picked up by the scanner.
The best thing to try is re-scanning the photo and using the scanner's software to reduce the amount of surface texture picked up by the scan.
Working with the photo you supplied is problematic because that texture pattern is impossible to remove while still keeping some details. What I decided to do was:
Only work on the worst areas of surface texture.
Overwrite the surface texture pattern with another, more acceptable pattern.
Reduce the effect of that applied pattern.
So here are the steps:
Select the most obvious areas of surface texture:
Use the Filter Gallery to apply a "Grain" to the selected areas using these settings:
Adjust the Brightness/Contrast of the selection as follows:
Apply a Gaussian Blur to the selection with these settings:
Here's the final result:

I purchased an album and am missing parts of songs. Tried to re-download, but itune store is giving me error -1202. I also tried to transfer from iphone, but nothing changed. Any ideas on what else I can try?

Try deleting the problematic tune (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iTunes store.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer.

If the problem re-occurs, select the content which is causing a problem and use the 'Report a problem' button in Your Purchase History using your computer. -

It sounds more like a virus or malware. Scan your computer with anti-virus, anti-malware of your preference.
Other than that tell use where it redirects you. Or better yet search it in google. Most infections redirect you to a specific place and you can use that to identify what the problem is exactly. Either way you need to give us more information for anyone to be able to help you.

Several times I've downloaded an album from iTunes to find that not all of the tracks were fully downloaded so that some of the tracks will skip to the next one (instead of finishing the song). Can anyone tell me why this happens and how I can fix it?
If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copies of the tracks and try redownloading fresh copies.
Otherwise, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the items that are not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the items, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" links next to the items.
(Not entirely sure what happens after you click that link, but fingers crossed it should be relatively straightforward.)
