  • Installed CF8 and now Flex application throwing error

    HI,
    I've just installed CF8 developer edition, and now I've tried
    creating a new Flex application, which has nothing in it, just an
    empty Main.mxml file, I did set ColdFusion Remoting as the way the
    application will access data, through the project setup wizard.
    Now when I run the application I get this error message:
    VerifyError: Error #1053: Illegal override of subtopic in
    mx.messaging.Consumer.
    at frame2
    at [abc-decode]
    at flash.display::MovieClip/nextFrame()

    at mx.preloaders::Preloader/private::timerHandler()
    at flash.utils::Timer/flash.utils:Timer::_timerDispatch()
    at flash.utils::Timer/flash.utils:Timer::tick()
    Then if I click continue I get this error message:
    ReferenceError: Error #1065: Variable
    _CursorManagerStyle__embed_css_Assets_swf_mx_skins_cursor_BusyCursor_1386701310
    is not defined.

    at flash.utils::Timer/flash.utils:Timer::tick()
    And then if I click continue once more I get the Initializing
    load screen start but never finish running so my application never
    loads.
    The other odd thing is I have some Flex apps which I built on
    CF7, which I then imported to CF8 and they work fine running on
    CF8, its only new projects which fail.
    If I create a new project which doesn't use ColdFusion
    remoting, the Flex application works fine. So something is a miss
    with the remoting connection I think.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks
    Stephen

    For me exactly the same problem. I need it to connect to my school's intranet.
    I think it means either waiting for an update, or somehow find a way to use the build in VPN functionality of Leopard instead.
    Good luck for us all!

  • ADF MOBILE Browser application throwing Error HTTP 502 Bad Gateway

    Downloaded "mobile banking Sample" from ADF Mobile Homepage, imported into JDeveloper 11gR2. Started MDS-CS, started built-in Weblogic application server. The deployed application Welcome.jspx displays correctly in a stand alone browser. However, surprisingly the same URL when typed within Blackberry Simulator browser HTTP Error 502: Bad gateway is thrown. I know its not a proxy issue since I can navigate to google and MDSCS admin page. Please advise where we are going wrong?
    Note. since this is urgent I wanted to put across as much information as possible - so created a document with screen shots and added it as attechment to Oracle Support issue#3-4905845711.

    web browser returns 502 Bad Gateway errorHuh? I would expect a "page is taking too long to respond" error.
    Seems to me like you need support for background jobs. It would work something like this:
    - do request to server, either direct submit or Ajax call
    - that request, after validating of course, will start a background job. In a thread, through a job scheduler, whatever, as long as it is not the servlet that is actually executing the job. The servlet immediately returns after starting the background job.
    - webapp can show running jobs and through Ajax infrequently polls to see if running jobs are either done or they blew up with an error
    - you can see the results after a job has finished running
    This kind of "detached" system has many problems that need to be taken care of, for example taking care of resubmission. If you maintain persistent bookkeeping about jobs, a server shutdown can make the bookkeeping and the running state go out of sync. But programming is hard, this is the fun side of the job. Doing stuff you actually have to think about!

  • Moved Application Throwing Errors

    I moved an application to another folder, now it is telling
    me it can not get to my XML data files in debug and regular mode?
    in the console I get "Security Sandbox Violation"
    I am sure the files are there
    What settings am I missing, or what can I do to make this
    work?
    Thanks
    Mathias

    It's normal if you had no errors when you started your
    application from Flex Builder because it automatically updates the
    trusted directories of your flash player and thus allow you to
    access your xml file on your hard drive.
    Even if the path is relative to your application, it's on
    your computer and the flash player can't access it for security
    reasons.
    Here is a link which allow you to configure the trusted
    directories of your flash player, simply add the new location of
    your application and you will be able to access your xml
    http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager04.htm l
    Anyway I think that using a web server is an easier solution
    because you just have to deploy the application and you don't need
    to configure the flash player each time you move your application.
    Good luck,
    David

  • Get Applications throws error

    Hi All,
    When i try the Get Application option on my workbench i get an error saying " No applications found or you do not have permissions to retrieve applications". Previously it used to work fine. Suddenly this error message started to show up. Kindly suggest some solutions for this issue.

    I think the following three roles are mandatory in order to work within workbench ES2
    > Services User
    > Process Administrator
    > Resource Administrator
    Granting Applications Administrator will have all the above roles.
    Just make sure that the proper role assigned to you.

  • Application server error (Part 2) - Please Help!

    Hi there
    Yesterday I made this thread, [Click Here|Application server error - Please Help!;
    We installed a application server and it could not locate that host which was fixed by adding the app server name in the host file on the production box. We now have another issue.
    I we remove/disable the app server the messages still fail, cause it's looking for the app server host. I checked in ZR10 but nothing there is pointing to the app server.
    Is there some other parameter we can check to change the system not to point to the app server but the original production server?
    Thanks,
    Jan

    On clicking on find button im getting lov values if atleast one is not selected i need to throw one error message.
    How can i throw error message?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    i used this code:
    public String showMessage() {
    System.out.println("inside error msg");
    String messageText="Please select emp or ename";
    FacesMessage fm = new FacesMessage(messageText);
    * set the type of the message.
    * Valid types: error, fatal,info,warning
    //fm.setSeverity(FacesMessage.SEVERITY_INFO);
    fm.setSeverity(FacesMessage.SEVERITY_ERROR);

    String k=this.showMessage();
    return "Find"; // to navigate to next page

    Here is the bugbase ticked: Bug#3940278 - [Windows] file.url throw error when application executable in root directory
    If you launch AIR application packaged as bundle from root directory and try to get url property of any file you get IllegalOperationError.
    No matter what file url property you try to get.
    It's a big problem when you distribute your application on CD disks or flash drive.
    I'd like to ask everyone affected by this issue to take a minute and vote for the following bug.
    Thanks.

    I checked all deployment descriptions and there are no references to t3://localhost:7001. Few months back, I had the complete clustering setup working on 2 machines and now when I deploy my application on same configuration, it fails with t3://localhost:7001 unreachable error. I created a new cluster configuration on one machine with 2 managed server and it deploys fine. Can not figure out what has changed ?

  • Silverlight - Give generic Error, closes when you click on application storage - Windows 8

    Silverlight errors on websites and won't load bubble test.Also if you go into silverlight settings and click on application storage it doesn't open the box below just closes.
    I've tried deleting the file that saves silverlight cache, fix-it tool, registry cleaner and reinstall. Silverlight still won't load on windows 8 machine.

    Tricky one really.
    I work in businesses where the desktop set ups are well known.
    I'll try and offer some suggestions since you have zero replies.
    Kind of unsurprising though - there should be some sort of consumer orientated support somewhere rather than the only option being developer forums.
    If you try that bubble site I posted and it doesn't work then Silverlight is broken or you're using it in a browser it's just not going to work in.  ( That's just a random Silverlight site I found by the way ).
    Exactly what error do you see?
    The default browser settings for IE 11 stop my Silverlight business apps working, but there's a relatively friendly warning.
    You're using the desktop version of internet explorer?    If it doesn't have a house star and cog top right and looks all metro then it's not desktop.
    Other browsers are unreliable to fatal.
    Sounds like you did this:
    https://support.microsoft.com/kb/2608523/en-gb?wa=wsignin1.0
    You definitely have windows 8 pro?
    It is never going to work on win rt.  I never saw anyone trying to  install on win rt so I don't know what happens but neither the plug in or the Silverlight .net framework work on win rt.
    Other than that.
    Good luck.
    Hope that helps.

    Ted,
    Thank you very much for your response.  I downloaded Crystal for Eclipse very recently (about two weeks ago) using the URL
    http://downloads.businessobjects.com/akdlm/crystalreportsforeclipse/2_0/update_site/
    My understanding is that I already have the latest service pack that should have the fix for this bug.  Can you help as to why I still see this issue?
    Thank you.
