Onboard program will not load

The two sub.vi's attached have been running happily under Labview 6.1 and NI Motion 5.1.1 for seven years.  We recently updated to Labview 8.5 and NI Motion 7.6.  When I try to run Init_Board_Program.vi I get an error -70125 at "StopProgram" on program 1.  The purpose of Program 1 is to provide a watchdog for Program 2 to Insure its position remains within a boundary passed to it.  Program 2 takes a set of profile data points and runs a motor through them.  In the old system, program 1 ran continuously and program two ran only when data was loaded.  While both programs APPEAR to be in memory, program 1 is not running.   What change do I need to make to get these funcitoning again?

Nate,
Many things have changed!!!
All of them, I might point out, are due to bugs in this Labview.  For example the update rate is now 188 microsec as opposed to 125.  The resolver is 1/4 as sensitive as it used to be.  The soft switches no longer decelerate the motor, they allow it to keep right on going.  The kill and decelerate stop commands no longer remove the old target position, so when you start up after an emergency stop the motor continues in the very same dangerious direction it was originally moving...is that enough or shall  I continue?
But if your refering to that piece of code, No, its the same as it was.  I've taken out the "stopprogram.vi", I've put both programs in separate .vi's, and ONCE I've managed to load both on board at the same time without an error.  Once the stop program .vi is removed the error that now appears ONLY IN MAX i -70040 "The current device
is reserved for OnBoard Programs".  On the one occasion that I got both in cleanly the motor ran to the home position, about 37.80 deg and stopped....it  should have stopped at 60 degrees where it was sent.
If I do get errors, I can't run the program with the start.vi, but on one other occasion I've gone into MAX and told the program to run.  That time it went to home and began to osscilate wildly.

Not sure of an answer to your basic question, but it may be that you can run a repair (on Windows --> Control Panel>Programs & Features and run the repair on Acrobat). If that fixes the issue, at least temporarily, at least you will not be reinstalling everything -- a real pain.
Next, open Acrobat and go to the Help to run the updates and be sure you are current. On some OSs, the updates are critical.

  • Installed CS6 Design and Web - programs will not load

After installing CS6 successfully (so it says), I can't get any of the programs to load. Illustrator, InDesign, and some of the others I am seeing an "application failed to initialize properly (0xc000001d)" which is reminiscent of the errors people were having with Photoshop CS5.5.
However, for Photoshop, the error is an application shut-down... "Adobe Photoshop CS6 has encountered a problem and needs to close." I am running off of Windows XP with Service pack 3.
I've spoken with tech support, and they have had me uninstall/reinstall several times (from the disc, without the disc, change some file names to .old... that sort of thing... also downloaded and ran Adobe Application Manager). Nothing has worked. Any advice? I'd even accept "your computer is old and toasted, get a new one" at this point.

CS6 was tested with XP you didn’t give us your system specs.

  • The program will not load

I am on facebook and it is asking for the adobe flash player in order to play games.  It does not download properly. Some game allow access and others do not.

    Moved to Installing Flash Player.
How do you know it does not download properly? Are you able to install the software? If so, then it downloaded properly. What version are you installing on what OS?

Make sure that Firefox closes properly and that there isn't a hanging Firefox or plugin-container process left in the task manager.

  • Photoshop Elements 5.0 will not load

Hi, After using PE5.0 for a year with Vista the program will not load now. When opening editor it stops loading when 'searching for plugins'.

    I would go to:
    C:\Users\User Name\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\5.0\Editor
and inside that folder delete the two below files
    Adobe Photoshop Elements 5 Prefs.psp
    and
    PluginCache.psp
Before doing the above make sure pse 5 isn't running and hopefully when you start the pse 5 editor things will be okay.

  • IPhoto 5.0.4 will not load

I currently have a ibook G4 with Mac OS X version 10.4.11.  It came with iPhoto 5.0.4 and up until the past two days I have not experienced any problems.  However currently the program will not load.  When I open it states it is loading the photos.  After 30sec to 1min the program will close on its own.  I received the message "the application iPhoto quit unexpectedly".  Also it slows any other programs which are running at the same time.  This problem occurs regardless if other programs are running or not.  I have updated the program and repaired the disk. Don't know what else to do.  I am able to gain access to my photos through my "my pics folder".  They are displayed in preview when I open them.  Can any one help??

    Welcome to the Apple Discussions.
    Start with the troubleshooting basics:
    1. Repair Permissions using Disk Utility
    2. Delete the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file from the home / library / preferences folder. You'll need to reset your User options afterwards.
    3. Create a new account (systempreferences -> accounts) and see if the problem is repeated there. If it is, then a re-install of the app might be indicated. If it's not, then it's likely the app is okay and the problem is something in the main account.

  • Premier Elements 4.0 Will not load

I am making a video from granddaughters graduation. Everything was fine last night.  This morning I came in to finish it and my program will not load.
It tries to load and I get to the screen with a purple circle giving the name of the product etc .. then it closes .. and there is nothing.
I need to finish this video.  Please advise.
    Thanks

    A couple of thoughts.
Though XP is an older OS, there are still updates, and hot-fixes, being issued for it. If one has the update set to the default, then these take place behind the scenes, and the user is unaware that the program has been updated. Some of these can render a video, or audio driver obsolete. I would go to the mfgrs' Web sites for both your video card, and your audio card, download and install the very latest drivers. Do not trust Windows, or any utility, to tell you if you have the latest driver. Go to the source.
While updating, I would also go to Apple and update your QuickTime Player.
In the Splash Screen, that circle, if you look just below the center, there is a quickly moving line of text, telling you what PrE is loading, prior to launch. What is the last line, before the Splash Screen disappears? It might go by very quickly, and a "trick" is to set up a video camera, focused at that circle. Start the camera, when the Splash Screen first appears. When the program crashes, just Rewind the tape, near the end, and play it back, Pausing on the very last frame, to read that line of text. Could be that is the element, that is causing the issue.
Also, have you added any new hardware, or software, and especially any audio programs with VST's, or any VST's?
This ARTICLE gives some tips on how to fix, or at least investigate Premiere crashes, or hangs.
    Good luck,

    Hi The Lad,
If you have "INSUFFICIENT" disk space, then you can try and change the install location while performing the installation of the desired product. I am not sure when the error message would pop up saying that the disk space is "INEFFICIENT". Could you please share a screen shot of the error message along with the system information.
