I have a new iMac OS X 10.6.7
With my older computer, I could save my banking online login id, but I can't get it to work on this one. I set the privacy settings as follows: Use custom settings for history
Items checked are:
Remember my browsing history
Remember download history
Remember search & form history
Accept cookies from sites
Keep until they expire.
Nothing else is checked off.

it is possible that the file cookies.sqlite that stores the cookies is corrupted.
Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete cookies.sqlite-journal and cookies.txt, if they exist, in the Firefox Profile Folder in case the file cookies.sqlite got corrupted.

Firefox home for the iPhone sync's initially but, it does not continue to sync after that. Is there something wrong with firefox sync or an issue with my app?

Once firefox on the computer is closed for the first time after sync is setup it will not longer sync to the iPhone. I have tried deleteing and reading account several times. I refresh the app on iPhone. Nothing will work. One the initial sync is complete. Thats it.

I use google reader (www.google.com./reader) and thought I would use the pin as app feature. I right click the tab and select pin as app. The tab shrinks and looks like it has done this but when I close and restart Firefox the pinned tab is not there.

I adjusted the Hello Application provided by the SAP J2EE Server, I remove all the login modules, I hope there is no login page displaying when I access to the Hello page again. But it does not work. The login page always appears.
Was I wrong to understand it?

Only when i go to a different browser (like IE) after i clear it , then all that shows up is the pages i visited in IE , that is what bugs me , why is IE browsing history sowing up in Firefox ??

Firefox3.6.18, running on WinXP (all the Microsoft patches), opens with a single tab. Clicking the Add Tab "+" or pressing CTRL T does not open a new tab, although I can open a new window. Also, when exiting from Firefox, my tab location is not saved.

You are welcome to post any specific errors you are able to discover within your installation log to this discussion. Since you are using Windows then Exit Code 15 could mean one of the following:
Installer database is corrupted
Update pending to your operating system
Improper permissions set for the Media.db
The installation log file should provide additional insight into the exact error you are experiencing. Please make sure to use the find command to look for the words 'ERROR' and 'FATAL' to locate the relevant error messages.

Go to your actual realplayer (program), click the top right button (Realplayer with an downwards arrow) and update your software. Make sure Firefox is closed while you do this.

Thanks for your prompt reply. However, the sources you gave do not seem to apply exactly to my situation. I have attached some screenshots that show what the dialogue box looks like for a pdf download, and what my settings in the Apps panel of Options are. You will note in the first screenshot that I have checked the box to handle this file type automatically; however, the next time I try to download a file of that type, the same dialogue box appears looking exactly like the one shown, so checking the "automatic" option appears to do nothing. The files to be downloaded from my Gmail messages are not generic or altered file types - they are shown as pdf, doc, docx, etc. So while your intent was good, your post did not help. Thanks anyway.

Everytime I go onto the ICloud page it shows my old email and requires the password, but I can't exactly type in a password because that won't work. I can't find a way to change my email or delete ICloud.

If the old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, do the following:
Make sure you are signed into iMessage and FaceTime with your current ID. If they are signed into the old ID, go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive and Settings>FaceTime, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with your current ID.
Then temporarily recreate the old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. (You should not have to verify the old email account so it doesn’t matter if you no longer have access to it.) Now go to Settings>iCloud, turn off Find My iDevice and enter your current password when prompted (even though it prompts you for the password for your old ID). Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Sign Out (or Delete Account if you are not running iOS 8) and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address back to the way it was. When Firefox is open the zoom function (option/command/space bar) does not work in Adobe programs (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator). This happens only when Firefox is open and when I close it the zoom functions work fine again without having to restart the applications.
This is intermittent but happens quite frequently each day if Firefox is active.

I get a usable window, but zoom doesn't work as you noted.
How about using an intermediate page and window.open() for the target page? You can (mostly) restrict the chrome of windows opened that way, but it will leave behind the intermediate window...

With Safari open, press Command , (comma) to open Safari Preferences then select the Extensions tab.
Turn that off, quit (or force quit) Safari then relaunch to test.
