Onclick of a button needs to open a popup

Hi,
I have a textbox and button.Instead of entering a code in a text box i need to clcik on searchcode button and needs to open a popup window with a list and in that list i need to select a code and enter in the text box.How to ahieve this please help.

Button Item to open a popup window but not do a submit

Hi,
I want to open a popup using a button that is next to an item. I do not want a submit to occur.
I've followed the directions in Want Button Item to call popup window and the popup displays correctly.
However it also does a submit.
How to do I prevent the submit when this button item is pressed?

I read many blogs from SDN. Somewhere it is said that i should customize the com.sap.portal.runtime.logon.par. While in some it mention that it should be configured it from the portal. Somewhere it is mentioned in both(par and portal).
Which is the correct way. i am good at programming but not very clear with the portal customization.
Can you help me in this!!!

Xcode question. Need to open an app from clicking a button! Please help!!!!

Hello, I am new to this forum so sorry if this is in the wrong spot. I'm trying to make a simple Xcode app, so that when people click a button, it will open another app, such as an AppleScript, which will run a code in Terminal. So for instance, click "Make my Mac speak" Then it would open the AppleScript and Terminal would pop open and run the code " say Hello, my name is Macintosh". Thats just an example of what I'm trying to do. Please can someone help me. I don't need help with the AppleScript part, just getting Xcode to open the AppleScript. Thank you!

Symbol Buttons that will open a page in the same Tab using hyperlinks

Hi there,
I was just wondering how do you put the specific code into a
button symbol
to open a page like google or something in the same TAB or
page.

button symbol and i would like to make it open in the same page not
a new TAB.
The following code opens a page in new TAB which i did not
want.
I just need the page to open in the current page.

I wanna create a button on a page (thats not the problem) that opens a popup where data from a table (two rows) is in.
I found different documents but nothing that really solves the problem.
Any idea and helps is really appreciated.

I'm not sure what documents you've looked and why they haven't helped you. To call any page as a popup, you just need to run some javascript:

and you button should call the javascript function:onClick="javascript:callMyPopup();"
I tend to put things like this in A tags on my page.
Is there something further that you need to do with the popup report? Do you need to set some value to filter the report and/or return a selected value from the report back to the calling page?

When I need to open a folder on the desktop takes long time to open, so it is with the hard drive?, I'm using Maverick

The system boots without any problem, applications without a problem when I'm on the desktop and I need to open folders taking forever to open and for a moment I open and blocks other thing that the colored circle appears, use ten folders on the desktop where I'm keeping this information and take process and lock the desktop makes my job a little slow, and does anyone know anything about all of this as repairing system error?

Have then select one of the photos and type Command+i. In the Info window that comes up check to see which application is set as the default application. If it's iPhoto therein lies the problem. Regardless of what is set for the default select Preview and click on the Apply to All... button. See if that will fix the problem.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. Just put the application in the Dock and click on it whenever you want to backup the dB file. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
Note: There's now an Automator backup application for iPhoto 5 that will work with Tiger or Leopard.

Can't get rid of Button Libray in Open Recent

Is this happening to anyone else? I don't know if it's restricted to this particular library file.
When I first installed ID 6 I must have opened the Button Library just to look, and ever since it's been in the open recent list, usually as #1, though during the course of a session it will move down, or even off, the list, but the next time I open ID it will be back at #1.
I've even trashed the Saved Data file, and everything else on the list is gone, but there it is when I restart: Button Library.indl.
I don't wish this on anyone else, so don't try this at home unless you need to open a library, particularly that one, anyway, but would someone who uses libraries be willing to open one, shut down ID, then restart, open at least 10 more docs to move it off the list, shut down and restart again, and let me know if the list stays the way you left it?

I opened about 15 files to push the library off the list, closed ID, re-opened, the library still was not on the list, so I renamed it back, rebooted, opened ID, opened the library, verified it was again on the list, then opened 11 more files to push it off again.
I've closed and re-opened ID, and it hasn't come back yet, so maybe that was it.
I don't remember a crash with the library open, and if it had, why didn't it recover on the next launch? I do have a vague memory of modifying the library, though, then changing it back, and closing it. Why that would trigger a recovery, and where it was trying to open -- because it certainly wasn't on the screen anywhere -- is a complete mystery.
Cyndi, try renaming the library and re-launching ID, and let us know what happens.

In your case, request your bank to provide cheque number with leading zeros in electronic bank statement as the leading zeros in the assignment field is SAP system behaviour.
Alternatively, use 'Define Search String for Electronic Bank Statement' (refer http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_05/helpdata/EN/6d/0cdf4b142e11d3963800a0c9426c73/frameset.htm for details) in the IMG, customize it to search for the cheque number provided in the note to payee field > then append leading zeros.
The first method is the solution we are using and it is the most cost effective.

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after It shuts down, press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10-15 seconds).
No data will be lost.

Please help with medical files I need to open immediately and cannot.

I have some medical files sent to me that I desperately need to open. The instructions were to copy the file to the desktop, a zip file by the way, left click using the mac button and "I" at the same time. A menu would open saying "open with" and I was to choose stuffit. Then enter the password when prompted. I was able to get to the stuffit part and the password prompt and entered the password, but nothing happened. I keep getting the error message: Unable to unarchive "LoganRobertPEME.zip" into "Desktop". (Error 1-Operation not permitted.)
Can anyone help me open this file?

Contact whoever sent you the file. Perhaps it's a bad archive. Or be sure you entered the password correctly. They are case sensitive.

I had the same problem. If you're running Greasemonkey, you need to update it. There's a conflict between Greasemonkey 0.9.10 and Tab Mix Plus on Firefox 6.0.2. Until the add-ons site approves Greasemonkey 0.9.11, you'll have to install it manually.

Help in button action to open a file that is attached to main pdf doc

Hello,
I have created a button and used an icon saying "click here...." the action I want to attach to it is to have on mouse down for it to open the file which is attached to the document.
Is this possible? If so how do I direct the acton of "open file" to be the one attached in document? can't figure out path...
there was a suggestion of how to make a javascript for the button action to open the attachment panel...

After you set your link... go back into the edit mode, click on your link and go to Actions Tab, click on the "go to page view in another document' under the actions part of that tab (bottom portion of page), then click on Edit... it will open a 'Target Document' window and in the top portion click on 'open in...' drop down box and select 'new window'.... close out and SAVE!
