One armed bandit and one port to another
I was trying to setup a CSS in one-armed bandit mode for the first time per the URL below. But I want to be able to have arbitrary ports on the "real" servers. E.g. use https://hooty.com as the VIP but on the backend take you to hoot1.hooty.com port 8443 say while http://hooty.com would direct you to hoot1.hoot.com port 8080. Must the port number on the VIP equal the port number on the real server in one-armed-bandit mode?
http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/117/one_armed_bandit.html
group Servers1
vip address 26.19.98.45
add destination service oldwww:80
active
group Servers2
vip address 26.19.98.45
add destination service oldwww:443
css-n1-1(config)# group Servers2
css-n1-1(config-group[Servers2])# active
%% An active source group with that address already exists
The port number of the vip does not have to to be the same as the real server.
You can set the port you want for the real server with the 'port' command under the service definition.
This is true for one-armed or any other type of setup.
The problem in your config is that you can't create 2 groups using the same vip ip address.
So, simply configure all your servers under one group.
ie:
group Servers1
vip address 26.19.98.45
add destination service oldwww:80
add destination service oldwww:443
active

Know of any good Arm Bands and FM Transmitters for the Zen Mic
I'm thinking of buying a Micro and want to make sure I can get an arm band and transmitter. I notice on Creative's Micro page they list transmitters at the bottom but there is no link. What have you done to get these products?
thanks,
garrett<font size=>The FM Transmitter shown on the website is the Belkin Tunecast II. I own it, and it works great for me. I suggest rechargable AAA batteries though, because it uses the battery fast. That is not a problem if you are using it in the car though... it has the Car Adapter and it uses that for power.
As to the armband- there is not one mad specificly for the mico, but I have heard that there is one that do fit the micro pretty snugly.Message Edited by bberenbaum on 03-7-2005 02:02 AM -

Can HTTP run on more than one port?
Hello!
Is it possible to define multiple icm/server_port_<xx> to handle HTTP on the same server? Would a configuration like
icm/server_port_0 = <b>PROT=HTTP,PORT=8000</b>,TIMEOUT=900, HOST=server1.mycompany.com
icm/server_port_1 = PROT=HTTPS,PORT=8001,TIMEOUT=900, HOST=server1.mycompany.com
icm/server_port_2 = PROT=SMTP,PORT=25,TIMEOUT=200,EXTBIND=1
icm/server_port_3 = <b>PROT=HTTP,PORT=8010</b>,TIMEOUT=900, HOST=server1.mycompany.com
work?
After our system went into production and the port number for HTTP was published, we found out that we could enjoy better network service if we run HTTP on a different port. We would like to make a smooth transition from one port to another. For this reason we would like to give users some time to change over to a new login URL. Our idea is to redirect the current port to the new port via a redirect (icm/HTTP/redirect_<xx>).
Thanks for your advice!
Kind regards,
G. ZiemannHello,
Yes, it is absolutely possible to define multiple HTTP ports on the same server.
You can even do it dynamically from transaction SMICM --> goto --> Services
goto --> Service --> define
It's ok for a quick test but of course the best way is as you describe with the icm/server_port_xx paramters.

My iPad air won't change at all, and I don't know if it's the port or charger cable it is charging normally but it just won't charge. I have had a new port put in before after a charger getting stuck in there but it worked fine after and now it's not working at all! I don't know if maybe it's the charger getting old but I have spent far too much money on this iPad then I should have as it's one problem after another witch is causing me lots of stress.
Try giving your iPad a reset. Hold down the sleep and home keys for about 20 seconds. When you see the silver apple, let go and let it reboot and try again.
How are you charging it? its's best charged plugged into the wall not via USB. So if you're trying via USB, try using the supplied power block plugged into the wall. -
Porting varray data from one db to another remote db using queues and jms
We are trying to port a varray from one db to another db using queues and java jms. The varray is embedded in an object type (necessary according to oracle docs). The varray, embed object, and the queues are identical between the 2 dbs. We have used the capabilities in jdeveloper to generate the necessary classes to access the embed object and its payload the varray.
However, when we attempt this:
public void publish( com.wgint.sql.EaiType payload )
throws JMSException, SQLException
Connection dbConnection = ((AQjmsSession)session).getDBConnection();
AdtMessage message = ((AQjmsSession)session).createAdtMessage();
message.setAdtPayload( payload );
( (AQjmsTopicPublisher) publisher ).publish( publisher.getTopic(),
message,
agents );
we get a ora-00902 error, invalid datatype. I cannot find a single example on technet or the internet in which someone has done something similar. I do not know if it is feasible or not.
SteveDo you really need JMS to do this? If not, just let the AQ layer propagate your messages from your local to your remote queue. See the online doc how to do this.

How do I use the time capsule to share itunes music between multiple apple devices? Also, is it possible to control the music on one device using another, and how do you set this up?
unless i'm missing something, i think you got mixed up, this is easy google for walk throughs
i'm assuming this is the new 3tb tc AC or 'tower' shape, if so, its wifi will run circles around your at&t device
unplug the at&t box for a minute and plug it back in
factory reset your tc - unplug it, hold down reset and keep holding while you plug it back in - only release reset when amber light flashes in 10-20s
connect the tc to your at&t box via eth in the wan port, wait 1 minute, open airport utility look in 'other wifi devices' to setup the tc
create a new wifi network (give it a different name than your at&t one) and put the tc in bridge mode (it may do this automatically for you, but you should double check) under the 'network' tab
login to your at&t router and disable wifi on it
add new clients to the new wifi network, and point your Macs to the time machine for backups -
I am afraid to download the new update software ios 6.1.6. Because everytime I let it put new software on, It makes my Ipod 4th generation mess up one way or another. Usually it makes the wifi go off and I cannot get it back on. Then I can't even use the ipod! I am having a problem now with it shuffling. Do both red x's one on each corner right top and left top need to be on for it to shuffle? Thank-You; Sherry PS, I do not have a Mac. I have a dell window 7. and I don't want windows 8. I have heard nothing but bad about it!
Nope, though it did allow me to get some missing songs back onto my iPod. That's something. But neither "Back in Black" or "Dirty Deeds" show up anywhere on the Touch. Could this be because iTunes has no deal with AC/DC?
Quite frankly, at this point, I'd really rather not have the "ease of use" of iCloud attached to the iPod. It's not like I change my playlists that much. It would just be nice to get what I want onto my MP3 player. Not sure which one it was: iCloud, Music Match or the Air Port but the only real result of all the $ I plunked down is seeing all of my Wife's 231 Christmas songs popping up on my laptop. Really don't want them here. She SURE AS **** is sick of seeing all of my stuff on her computer.
Thanks again.

One socket and two ports, not getting response from the server
Hi everyone,
I am working on device which communicate through Tcp sockets, It has an IP address and one port for listening and another for sending the response.
Problem is that I am able to create a connection to Device ip+port, and i am trying to listen on the same port while the device is sending the response on other port. My problem is that i can't create another socket using this port and therefore not getting the response from the device.
Can you people tell me how to handle such socket communication in java ?
Thanks in advance.I am working on device which communicate through Tcp sockets, It has an IP address and one port for listening and another for sending the response. Are you sure? That's not usual. It would be usual for it to use the same port for listening, reading, and writing.
Problem is that I am able to create a connection to Device ip+port, and i am trying to listen on the same port while the device is sending the response on other port.I would try just reading from the same socket you are sending on. I suggest you have misunderstood how the device works. -
Best Way to port the data from one DB to another DB using Biztalk
Hi,
please suggest best way to move the data from one db to another DB using biztalk.
Currently I am doing like that, for each transaction(getting from different source tables) through receive port, and do some mapping (some custom logic for data mapping), then insert to target normalized tables(multiple tables) and back to update the status
of transaction in source table in sourceDB. It is processing one by one.
How/best we we can do it using bulk transfer and update the status. Since it has more than 10000 transaction per call.
Thanks,
VinothHi Vinoth,
For SQL Bulk inserts you can always use SQL Bulk Load
adapter.
http://www.biztalkgurus.com/biztalk_server/biztalk_blogs/b/biztalksyn/archive/2005/10/23/processing-a-large-flat-file-message-with-biztalk-and-the-sqlbulkinsert-adapter.aspx
However, even though a SQL Bulk Load adapter can efficiently insert a large amount of data into SQL you are still stuck with the issues of transmitting the
MessageBox database and the memory issues of dealing with really large messages.
I would personally suggest you to use SSIS, as you have mentioned that records have to be processed in specific time of day as opposed to when the
records are available.
Please refer to this link to get more information about SSIS: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms141026.aspx
If you have any more questions related to SSIS, please ask it in
SSIS
forum and you will get specific support.

Audigy 2 zs - moved pc from one room to another and now no sound from speakers (headphones
As the title says,
I just completed moving my pc from one room to another. Low and behold I get no sound from speakers (just some stereo speakers with powered sub). I do get audio out of the headphones (fully disconnect headphones from front panel when attempting to get sound from speakers). I know this probably points to a faulty speaker setup but that's pretty straight forward and looks to be fine.
Anyone encounter this problem before or have any suggestions?
Thanks!Mr. Jefferson, Thanks for the quick response!
A mystery! Usually, it's easiest to have FiOS patched into your home's cable TV wiring, so I'm curious why you don't have a coax router that provides you with the ethernet (internet) jacks. Some questions:
Do you watch TV from some other source (like satellite or cable TV) but are using FiOS only for Internet?
I have both fios tv and internet
You said 2 cables are going from your router to a box in the wall. What are the 2 ports labeled on the router?
One of them is just the main "internet" port I guess you could say while the other is just one of the ports labeled 1-4 (plugged into #2 I believe)
Is there any labeling on the jacks on the wall box? On the other box in your room?
On the wall box in this room theres labeling on the jacks on the wall box that says IN and OUT (in marker), while in my room there's the same box but with only ONE, unlabeled jack (I think there's supposed to be another jack but it seems to be closed/sealed off)
Do you know where the Internet jacks connect to? Like a patch panel or box somewhere in your garage or near where your FiOS/cable tv/phone service is? Somewhere these cables have to terminate.
I believe they somehow connect to this box in my garage (did some research and I believe it's called the ONT? and there's another box below it which I believe is the battery)
Hope this info helps! -
How do i move itunes and music from one pc to another?
All - i need to move all my music from one pc to another - does anyone know how to do this? i am not very technically minded and ever time i try to look it up i get very confused! thanks in advance.
I set up a home network and transferred it using that. See if you can get a PC-savvy friend to help you, or hire someone to do this. It is nearly impossible to talk someone through this over the internet.
Windows has some built-in helps to tell you how to set up a home network and turn on file sharing. If you don't understand that, get someone to help! -
Problem with drag and drop application windows from one workspace to another

After the publication of the problem has disappeared, the window is dragged. Miracle! )

I bought a new laptop and used Windows Easy Transfer cable and moved all files from one computer to another. I installed iTunes and found my iTunes music Library. However, when I plug in my iPod it says it is already synced with another iTunes Library.
I don't see anything in Help that shows when you already have transfered all the files over. Why would it want to erase and sync when I already have all the music folder copied over? I didn't have an issue when I had another technician copy from one laptop to another. Home sharing is also on but not being recognized.I suspect you only migrated the media folder instead of the complete working library. Either review the transfer process and copy over the entire iTunes folder from your old profile's music folder or see Recovering your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.
