One month+ for connection?

Hi everyone,
I am a current Sky customer but just applied for the BT service's due to major problems with Sky. I applied for the package BT Vision Unlimited, the 20mb Unlimited BB package and the free evening and weekend calls on the 19th (Yesterday).
Upon filling in the details i was told i would get a free Vision+ box, and the date i would be setup would be the 13th of Jan 2012. While thats a long time with no internet or landline thats fine. I received e-mails oday confirming my order but noticed all my dates are now 2nd of Feb 2012!!
Aswell as no mention of delivery dates for my Vision+ box or anything todo with BT Vision the only items confirmed are BB and my Phone packages and the date the engineer will be out.
The dates are estimated at 2nd of Feb 2012, i have just moved to a new estate and the house still can't be found by most places but my two neighbours have internet and Sky setup 2 days ago and apparantly an engineer just needed to switch the line on at t he top of the road? Can anyone shed some light as to why i have to wait a month and no information aout my free Vision+ box was in the e-mail. I did select Vision+ Unlimited.

It really does depend, because sometimes it can be just as simple as a switch on from the exchange, or sometimes the engineer has to do stuff at the cabinet and your house, which is a little time consuming, he/she will have to test everything to make sure it is all working.
What type of master socket do you have? if you have one at the moment.

    We apologize however it's not possible to reset the trial however you can try and use it on a different machine with a different Adobe ID (if possible).

    unless you're really putting that cord under stress, it shouldn't go bad that quickly. It's possible that there could be issues with your iPad's port.
    Did you buy that ipad new or used? If new and if it's still under factory warranty (might not be with a 2) then you can have the apple store check it out and make sure there are no issues with that port.

    Now, what makes more me angry is the retarded Lenovo service.
    The story is, I need to wait more than half hour to get online representative, then they will tell you to call someone.
    That takes another half hour! So, after I fininshed this, I am still waiting for this POST SALE TEAM answering my phone.
    I am sorry I cannot afford so much time on this.

  • Early upgrade (one month) for wacky problematic phone, DENIED

    Hello,
    I have been a Verizon Wireless customer for SEVENTEEN years.
    I purchased the Droid under a different line last February (2010)
    around October the on/off button  stopped working...
    I was keeping it charged for weeks...and sliding it over for it to go on...
    but it finally died and there was no way to turn it back on...
    Verizon Wireless was nice enough to send me a REfurbished Droid.
    This is a DUMB smartphone....if I get a text during a call, it disconnects the call.
    A simple phone can handle this, mine can NOT.
    I called Verizon in April and they said they'd early upgrade me,
    but at that time I didn't know what phone I wanted, whether it be a smartphone or simple, maybe less problematic phone.
    Well after dealing with my dumb phone and resisiting from throwing it into a wall from frustration (it has other problems too)
    I called Verizon Wireless again . 
    They went through a 30 minute "typed script and troubleshooting"
    then I was told the phone is problematic.  well duh...I've been way patient while paying over $200 a month for this fantastic service for WAY too many years!
    I was then given an order number, but told it needed to be approved by a manager.
    48 hours later I was DENIED.
    I feel like an a$$ being a loyal customer.
    I was upping my contract 2 years, etc.
    and they told me no......   denied. order cancelled.
    I am feeling like being loyal is unappreciated.
    I didn't think 30 days really mattered for an early upgrade.
    I have no luck with Verizon phones either.
    last phone I really liked that had no problems was a great light blue and grey  phone, no flip,
    that I had to give up when they went digital.
    Had to be over a decade ago.
    Man I miss that WORKING phone...only phone that EVER worked reliably.

    Man that would **bleep** me off too... I worked @ Verizon Wireless in their call center for about 3 years & that is not an uncommon issue. 
    I wish I could give you a solid answer instead of suggestions, but here's how I've seen people get their "early upgrade" approved...
    First of all, you've been w/VZW for 17 years?!? With the same account?! I have NEVER seen a supervisor deny a month early upgrade for someone who's had service for 17 years.
    -  Call back & ask for a supervisor immediatly. Tell the supervisor what's going on & If you are still not happy with the results, escalate it to the supervisors manager.
    - If you still have no luck, tell them you want to disconnect. They will actually say "okay let me get you over to a rep. that can close the account" & that person has special deals they can offer you & if it is really only a month or 2 early, they will totally push it though for you.

    Was informed that it would be a month before a printer driver for the LaserJet 1006 will be available.
    I find this hard to believe.

    HP Printer Driver update (version 2.2) is available through Apple Software Update or directly via download from Apple.
    I just downloaded and it works fine with my P1006.

    You could always allocate a number to multiple business accounts in Skype Manager. Then re-direct the number via IP-PBX to go to different extensions.

    I use XI 3.0 and I've a great problem of connection between various countries.
    Sometimes the network go down and all XI interface continue to try to connect.
    Do you know if exist a method for do one check for connection before the execution, if the net is down wait N second otherwise all interfaces start.

  • P2415Q - No display over DVI, HDMI. No menu. Worked perfectly for one month over display port

    Reason Line: Dell P2415Q. After one month working perfectly over display port, no display on screen over Display Port or HDMI, no response to menu buttons, backlight and power LED on but no image on screen.
    Problem Description
    The monitor worked out of the box for one month using the display port to mini display port cable provided with the monitor, which was plugged into my XFX 7970 and 7950 graphics cards. It supported 4K at 60Hz and was exceptional for photos, videos and games. On Wednesday the monitor stopped working, no image or menu is displayed on the monitor. I plugged in my old monitor to help diagnose via DVI from the same graphics card. When I press the power button on the Dell P2415Q monitor, the power LED lights up and the computer detects the monitor (as shown in the windows screen resolution menu). It sets it as a secondary display but the monitor remains black, I can see the power LED and backlight is on. No power saving mode popup appears on the monitor, when I press the menu buttons there is no response from the screen, it remains black. I repeated with a HDMI cable the same issue occurs with no response or image. I repeated and disabled crossfire (which allows the graphics cards to function independently) and tried the second graphics card with no response. I tested the HDMI cable I used on my old LG monitor, it works well. I have tried connecting a laptop over HDMI to the monitor too, with no response from the monitor. I have exhausted all the tests I can think of, I presume I will have to return the monitor for repair or replacement under warranty. A question to the dell rep and community - is there anything else I can try / do to get it working?

    Computer: Non-Dell, self build about 2 years ago. Ivy Bridge i5, Gigabyte Sniper Motherboard, 16GB RAM, XFX 7970 GPU and XFGX 7950 GPU in crossfire, 256GB SSD, 860W Corsair AX power supply (860W on 12V rails). Windows 7, 64-bit. (Secondary Monitor LG D2342).
    Operating System: Windows 7, 64 Bit.
    Video Card: XFX 7970 and XFX 7950 in Crossfire (tested separately, monitor produces fault with both).
    Video Card Driver: 14.12 AMD Catalyst Driver (rolled back to older driver, monitor still produces fault).
    Video Card Output Ports: Tested with miniDP and HDMI on both cards, with crossfire enabled and disabled. Monitor still produces fault.
    Video Card Cable: miniDP to DP cable provided with monitor. HDMI cable, tested with alternate monitor to confirm it functions correctly.
    Monitor Menu Button: Non responsive, when power is turned on the computer successfully detects the Dell P2415Q monitor, the backlight turns on but no image appear on the screen. Pressing the menu buttons yields no result - menu does not appear on the screen. Power LED is on.
    Monitor Purchase: Purchased from Overclockers.co.uk March 2015.

    * Turn the monitor off
    * Disconnect all cables from the monitor including the power cable
    * Press the monitor power button in for 15 seconds
    * Reconnect the monitor cables and re-test. If still no go, your only option is to get it exchanged per the purchased warranty
    * But first the service tag must be transferred into your name using this form

  • After one month of fine usage, my iPhone cannot connect to or recognize any cellular network.

    After one month of using iPhone 4s w/o any problems, it started to go off and on from cellular network. Now it is only "Searching..." for networks unable to connect. When I switch off "automatic carriers" it's the same. I already tried to swith off/on airplane mode and device but w/o success. Help, please...

    I too are experiencing the same problem on a 8gig 3G Telstra Australia iPhone that was bought outright. I also have another (same) iPhone and the settings on both are identical yet the new phone refuses to connect. I have tried a few ideas/suggestions including: settings, general, network, cellular data network and changing it from telstra.iph to telstra.internet. this works but I think something is wrong because to .iph refers to iPhone (I have switched it back until to confirm with telstra about this).
    I have also tried settings, reset, reset network settings but this did not help but has worked for others.
    I have also tried turning off the unit and taking out the sim card and restarting the iPhone but again no luck yet.
    I plan to speak to both Telstra and Apple to see if this problem has a simple solution and will post a new thread titled "solution to cellular network problems".
    Personally by all the trials and errors so far I believe it is a carrier problem and having to re-enter the pin on this phone everytime I re-boot it suggests it could be sim card related.

    I'm thinking about "extending" trial of CC InDesign by buying the app for a month at $29.99. I have CS3 and so am eligible for the special deal for a complete CC package for a year at $29.99 per month which I may choose to do at some point after that. My question is, by buying the one month plan, am I making myself ineligible for the special deal for CS owners?

    Unlikely to be related. That sounds like a separate issue. Licensing checks don't affect software performance. If you're financially up to date the software works. If not then it does not.

    The licensing mechanism built into the software will do what it needs to do automatically and silently In a few seconds while you work.
