One or More Credit Control Area assinged to one company code

HI Guys,
In credit management , the below said customizing is done by FI.
Financial Accounting Customizing
Financial Accounting  Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable  Credit Management  Credit Control Account  Assign Permitted Control Areas to Company Code
Can any one explain why and for what purpose “assign permitted control areas to company code”.
Because one control area can be assigned to one company code. If not please clarify.
Regards,
Sai

Credit Control Area
Definition
An organizational unit that represents the area where customer credit is awarded and monitored.
This organizational unit can either be a single or several company codes, if credit control is
performed across several company codes. One credit control area contains credit control
information for each customer.
Use
Credit and risk management takes place in the credit control area. According to your corporate
requirements, you can implement credit management that is centralized, decentralized, or
somewhere in between.
For example, if your credit management is centralized, you can define one credit control
area for all of your company codes.
If, on the other hand, your credit policy requires decentralized credit management, you
can define credit control areas for each company code or each group of company codes.
Credit limits and credit exposure are managed at both credit control area and customer level.
You set up credit control areas and other data related to credit management in Customizing for
Financial Accounting. For more information, see the Implementation Guide under Enterprise
Structure   Definition or   Assignment   Financial Accounting and then Maintain credit control
area. You assign customers to specific credit control areas and specify the appropriate credit
limits in the customer master record.

  • Combine all payers from two Credit Control Areas (CCA) under one CCA

    Short Description:
My goal is to combine all payers, currently in two separate Credit Control Areas under the same Credit Control Area to leverage to combined credit control maintenance where the customer exists in both entities and minimize duplicate credit control area maintenance as the credit control logic should be the same in the current 2 distinct  CCAs.
    Scenario Description.
    Current SAP configuration setup:
Company codes: CN01 (Shanghai) and HK01 (China)
    Control Areas: CN01 and HK01
    Sales Organizations: CN01 and HK01
Customers: the same Customer Numbers in CN01 and HK01.
There are many currently OPEN A/R.
The goal: Combine all CN01 and HK01 payers under the same credit control area to leverage the combined credit control maintenance where the customer exists in both entities and minimize duplicate credit control area maintenance as the credit control logic should be the same in the current 2 distinct CN01 and HK01 Credit Control Area.
I would appreciate a solution path  along with suggesting the re-indexing jobs that should be run to fix the open AR.

  • More than one Credit control area to a company code

    Hi Experts,
I have assigned one credit control area(1000) to a company code and for the same company code i have assigned permitted credit control areas (2000 & 3000).
I have 3 business areas(BA). when a customer involved in 3 business area, 3 different credit limit is fixed in 3 credit contorl area.
But when i post entries in business areas through F-22(Invoice entry) and F-29 (Down Payment receipt) the effect goes to 1000 credit control area only.
how to over come this problem?????????
the requirement is when is post entry in F-22 or F-29 for business area 2 & 3, the effect should go to respective credit control area 2000 & 3000....
Please help me to solve this problem...

    Hi
I am going through a similar situation:
    1. Currently we have one company code 9060 attached to one Credit control area 9060.
    2. Now we have to introduce few more credit control areas, 906P and 906T to represent 3 diffierent business units.
I have assigned CCA 906P, 906T as permitted CCA's for company code 9060. CCA 9060 is the default CCA for company code 9060.
    3. We do not currently use Business Area.
Since you have already gone through a similar task, you may be able to pass me some hints.
    1. How do you convert all the current customer open receivable sitting against the CCA 9060 to reflect either CCA 906P or 906T?
    2. To allocate payments from customers to the customer accounts, how would you make ensure that the correct credit control area is assigned (and not the default CCA 9060)
    3. How did the substitution rule works? Does this depend Business Area?
    4. Is it hard to introduce Business Area functionality? and what does this involve?
    Any help is highly appreciated.
    Thanks

  • Credit Control Area Management

    Dear All
As part of Enhancement,  we are configuring the "Customer Credit management" with Credit Control area organizational object.
Client has identified to use "Decentralized" Credit control management,  but however,  all comapny codes are assigned with one controlling area since implementation (since 2.5 years).
Though Credit Control area was assigned during implementation, it was actually not used.  Now they wanted to use the same.  However,  they wanted different Credit controlling area for different company codes.
However,  If I am assigning new Credit controlling area now to respective company codes, then system is considering the AR transaction data posted from the date it is assigned.  but, we want new credit control areas to consider all the data from past 2.5 years.  Is this possible?
If possible, please help, how to fix this.
    Your help highly appreciated
    best regards
    S Habib Pasha.

    Hi Habib
There is a standard SAP program that lets you revamp all the entered data to their correct credit control area and the steps involved are:
u2022     Table dumps of KNKK, S066, S067 on the old Credit Control Area
u2022     Check and export the values from Report VKM4 to ascertain the number of blocked orders
    u2022     In SM30, Update the Tables T014n and T001cm
u2022     Go to Transaction OB38 and assign your new CCA as default for the company codes
    u2022     Run the transaction F.28/RFDKLI20 execute without any parameters {check the test run output}
    u2022     Execute Program RVKRED09 {might not be required u2013 since RFDKLI20 does redo the credit check}
u2022     Validate VKM4 for all blocked orders
u2022     If there were any discrepancy between AR receivables and the Credit Master, it can be viewed by executing the Program RFCORR40
Also make sure that if you are using the different CCA for the same Co Code, in OB38 - you have checked the 'Overwrite CCA'' check box.
Hope this helps you; let me warn you - its a very tedious process and it might take a whole weekend to run this in a Production Client
    Good luck

  • Functional area and Credit Control area

    HI
    Dear Guru's
Kindly explain me the ,the differenec between Functional area and credit control
    area, with examples.
    with regards
    Arun Kumar

    Hi Arun Kumar,
    Functional Area :
It organize your business for cost of sales accounting.  It allow you to segregate and classify different types of costs within one expense account.  For e.g. a single labour account to determine what amount of labour is spent directly on production as compare to sales or hr.
    OKBD - Maintain Functional Area
    Credit control area:
An organisational unit that represents an area responsible for granting and monitoring credit.
outstanding recievables can spoil the business process. to
control credit limits in sap system we can configure credit
    control area.
one company code can hav one credit control area only
but one credit control area can hav many company codes
i.e. u can assign one credit control area to many company
    codes.
the relationship is one to many.

  • Credit control area issue.

    hello Experts,
I recently join a support team.
    Schenario -
    - assigned cocd to credit contrl area checked for "Overwrite CC", no value in "crd contrl area" Field.
    - 9 credit contrl areas are permitted to one company code.
    - Particular customer has different credit limits in different credti contrl area in FD32.
    User raise issue-
While any FI Posting related to customer, there should be a mendetory field to enter Credit control area for both debit and credit item, even when document is reversed.
    I m confused.
Can any one give me idea to resolve.
    Waiting for replay
    Subodh

    Hi,
the credit control area relates to customers, not to individual documents. It may help to think of this organization:
    - credit control area is linked to company code
    - customer is assigned to risk category in a credit control area
Now when you post in AR/FI the system uses the link between company code and credit control area set up in customizing.
There is no need to make an entry in the posting document.
    Hope this helps,
    Rudolf

  • Assign Company Codes to new Credit Controlling areas after going live.

    Dear FI Experts;
    Our Status Now:
We Have 3 Company Codes, CC 1000, 2000, 3000 and one Credit Controlling Area Code 0001, and the Customers are assigned to this Credit Controlling area with no problems and we are live since about 9 months ago.
    Requirement:
We have a requirement to split the Customer Credit limit between companies, which means we have to create more credit control areas for example CCA 0002, and 0003, and though assign our 3 company codes to the new credit control areas, as follows:
    CC 1000 to CCA 0001
    CC2000 to CCA 0002
    CC3000 to CCA 0003
And my Question is, what is the procedures to follow to do that (Not a Customization Procedures, I mean the How the Customers would be affected and the open items for them and how to resolve that), since as mentioned above we are already live since 9 months ago, and credit management is active and all our customers are assigned to our old Credit control area 0001, and also what is the consequence of doing that new assignment since we are live, thanks for your reply

You will need to manage to create new credit master data under new credit control area. System should reorganize existing credit data after reassignment, that is when you change master data (create credit master under new credit control area), new credit exposure is calculated based on AR in company code and existing open orders will get rechecked for credit under new credit control area & new risk categories assigned to them.

  • Is it possible to create a sales order in two credit control area

    Hi,experts,
I have a senario to realize. One customer has two sales area, and has two credit control area correspondingly. And this customer also has one common shared credit control area. I want to realize that one sales order would occupy two credit control area.
common credit control area limit :  300
           credit control area A limit : 500
           credit control area B limit : 500
Now I have a sales order for this customer, net value is 400, the sales order will be blocked. Although it does not supass the credit control area A, but supass the common credit control area limit
    How to realize this senario?
    Thanks.

    wayne,
Sales order has one credit control area, check VBAK-KKBER
Therefore order should be checked against this CCA.

  • Credit control area in FF68

    Hi
We have a scenario where we have 3 credit control areas in one company code. Now when i am using FF68, there is no field to enter the credit control area. If i am using F-28, i can enter it manually but in FF68 i have no such option. can anyone kindly help as what to do in such cases.
    Regards
    Sachin

    Dear Sachin,
If you wanna enter a Credit Control Area in Account Document you can, perflectly, use a Substitution Rule. I'm affraid it's not possible enter this field directly in transaction FF68.
I simulated this transaction and realize that a Batch Input session is created, So, this process follow until an Account Document creation. As I said, It's possible create a substitution rule by OBBH.
First, you have to define your scenario.
For example: You have 3 Co. Codes and 3 credit control area. Each Co. Code has your respective credit control area.
In substitution rule you can define what Credit Control Area belongs to what Co. Code.
I hope that helps just like a few points!
    Tks.

  • Difference Between Controllin area and Credit Control area

    hi.
can u pls tell  me the difference  Controllin area and Credit Control area....?
is there any FM is available for CreditControlAreaGetList........?
    regards
    Guru

    Hi Bojja,
    Controlling Area:
Controlling provides you with information for management decision-making. It facilitates coordination, monitoring and optimization of all processes in an organization. This involves recording both the consumption of production factors and the services provided by an organization.
As well as documenting actual events, the main task of controlling is planning. You can determine variances by comparing actual data with plan data. These variance calculations enable you to control business flows.
Income statements such as, contribution margin accounting, are used to control the cost efficiency of individual areas of an organization, as well as the entire organization.
    CCA(Credit Control Area)
An organizational unit that represents the area where customer credit is awarded and monitored.
This organizational unit can either be a single or several company codes, if credit control is performed across several company codes. One credit control area contains credit control information for each customer.

  • Credit control area field not appearing in XD02

    Hi
In my ZDOM customer account group, i have made credit control field as mandatory. Hence it appears in sales area data when i create customer (i.e. XD01).
When i do XD02 (to change credit control area), credit control area is getting hidden. Its not appearing in XD02. Please help

    Hi Meenu,
You will have to use T code OB20 here in order to make the Credit Control Area field visible in T code XD02.
The only problem here is that when you make the field Credit Control Area visible in T code XD02 using T code OB20, it will be visible for all account groups, not only for account group ZDOM.
    Please check this out.

  • Customers extended to more than one Credit Control Area ?

    Hello ,
Please advice ,SAP Customers (payers ) can be extended to more than one Credit Control Area ?
    Yes or No ?
    Pros & Cons ?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Vikas

    Hi Vikas,
You can map one customer to two different credit control areas:
However you need to understand the following points:
1.Delinking of company code to existing credit area (FI)
2.Allow at compnay code more than one control and allow overwriting also(FI)
3.Allow the existing risk categories to work in new control Area (FI)
4.Change layout of customer master (if credit control area is not activated in sales area-Billing Tab)
5.Creation of Validations in FI that No entry to customer ledger shall pass without assignment to control area.
The Process of having multiple control area under one compnay code though not advisable however if business requires this you need to configure.
    Pros:
    1. Single customer code
    2.Credit control division wise
3.AR can be taken division wise
    Cons:
    1.Master data maintenance would increse
2.user need to put credit area in all transactions specially-Credit & debot Notes (FB70) and advance payments.
If You require any other help pls revert.
    Regards
    Sanjay
