One shot (Single shot) mode for LM3S8962

Hss anyone successfully programmed a one-shot output pulse with an external interrupt? I am trying to program a one-shot output . I know that the input trigger is on CCP0. I am trying to understand how I can control an external pin to put out an accurate one-shot pulse, or will i just have to just use elemental I/O when servicing the interrupt?

I tried this:
I changed the TimerConfigure to "OS", but it still is periodic. I also used the timer config vi's to try to change the operation from periodic to single shot, it does not seem to work.

P.S. I used an external trigger to generate an interrupt. In the interrupt, i turn on an elemental I/O bit, then I use an empty for-loop to do a delay, then i turn off the bit. If the external interrupt is asychronous, I get dither in my output pulse. If I use the internal PWM module and use this as the interrupt, then the output pulse is stable. It doesn't make sense.......

Is there a way to switch to single-user mode for screen sharing in Lion?

Hello,
with the new multiple user mode one screen sharing guest can not see the mouse cursor of another - even if they use the same login.
It's a pity, because we use screensharing to discuss the content of the screens with multiple screen sharing users.
It is necessary to point with the cursor to show the other members of this 'screen sharing meeting' things while discussing.
This is not possible anymore with Lion and multi user screen sharing.
Does anybody know a patch or terminal command to switch back to single user mode for screen sharing?

Single Window Mode for Windows version?

Hey there,
as some might know, there's a "hack" to get Single Window Mode for Safari on Mac. Normally. links with "target=_blank" will open in a new window instead of a new tab. In order to get Single Window Mode, the following code needs to be typed into Terminal:
defaults write com.apple.Safari TargetedClicksCreateTabs -bool true
Unfortunately, this won't work on Windows, so I would like to know if there's another way to have Single Window Mode.

No, there isn't. That feature is not implemented in the Windows version The only way to open targeted links in a new Tab is to Control-click or Right-click on the link and select Open in New Tab from the contextual menu.

Updating an App in Single Application Mode for Surface (Windows 8.1 RT)

I have a Windows Store App running on a Surface (Windows 8.1 RT) in
Kiosk Mode (Single Application Mode).
I've put a new release out on the store for this Windows Store App. Is it possible for a Surface, running this app in kiosk mode, to
automatically update the app to this new release? (Like I would expect a normal windows 8.1 installation to do)
Until now, i've had to remove the kiosk mode, go to the Store and update it manually. Then restoring the kiosk mode.

As far as I know, there is no way to update an APP in kiosk mode untill now. Hope this problem can be resolved in the future.

One-shot acquisition AVT Guppy

Dear
I'm trying to acquire 1 one image using the trigger input of a AVT Gyppy F-080B camera.
In the manual of the Guppy I found the "One-shot" mode to acquire just one image from the camera using the trigger input.
So far I have the code attached that sets the registers of the camera, I think that's ok.
What I'm not so sure of is the sequence behind:
1) Do I need to start an acquisition using IMAQdx Start Acquisition.vi (I think yes since I don't get an image without this vi)
2) How do I retrieve the image from the camera? Using IMAQdx Get Image.vi or IMAQdx Grab.vi.
With both vi's I get an image out of the camera but... ...
I never gave a trigger pulse
Using the max I was able to get an image on a trigger pulse
Acquisition attributes\Timeout set to 20000
Camera attributes\Trigge\Trigger Activation = High level
Camera attributes\Trigge\Trigger Mode = Mode 0
Camera attributes\Trigge\Trigger Parameter = 0 (no idea what this is)
When I then click the "Snap" button, nothing happens until I activate the trigger line of the camera.
Only at that time I get an image in the MAX.
If I wait more than 20 seconds I get an error message.
This is exactly what I need, but I can't translate it into LabVIEW code
What am I doing wrong?

I wasn't sure if the stop would actually work. I trusted BlueCheese on that. But apperantly it doesn't.
Why you dont see the StopLoop indicator increasing are because it is waiting for an event. Hense the name of the structure. It will wait very efficient for a user event on the stop button. The while loop will iterate only once in my example code image. Leaving you with the value 0.
I have some suggestions how you can implement a stop button but this will include polling and only one loop.
If you set your timeout to 500ms or 1s your snap VI will timeout more often and when this happens you should chech the error code and clear the error if a timeout occures and then check if the stop button was pressed and if it was stop the loop otherwise just iterate again. Would look something like this.
I had 500 as timeout and therefore constant 40 would be if the camera timeouts for 20 seconds in a row without the stop button being pressed I quit the application. I also quit it every 500ms on stop button press and also on error other than timeout. I don't know the timeout error number but set that instead of 1 and you will have a working code.

Turning off "one-shot" flags in EXS

What's the best (easiest) way to turn-off all of the "one-shot" flags for a large group of samples and instruments? Is there a batch function or utility for this?

Oh, O.K. I thought that was a pretty elementary question coming from someone registered here since 2002...
Geez... that's beyond me I'm afraid. Is this something that could be done with Mac's automator? I was under the impression that was only available to "basic" pre-installed apps like mail, iTunes, calendar, etc... but maybe someone could offer up a third party alternative...

Resetting the Admin password in single user mode

Ok, my friend bought an old Imac from someone she went to school with with OS 10.4.2 on it. It works fine except that she can not install any programs because there is an admin password that she does not know. She asked the person she bought it from, he says he doesn't even remember setting a password. Normaly with this issue id just pop in the install disk and reset it from there, except neither of them have the install disk, and my install disk is to current for the machine. Does anyone know how I can reset the admin acount using single user mode commands? I can do it on my Mac Book pro but it doesn't seem to work the same way on 10.4. Please help!
EDIT: It is a Power PC G3 if that helps.

You do not need to delete "the users home folders". Nor do you need to delete the netinfo database. Here are two proceedures:

Basically, you hold down the command-s key then powering on your machine. The command key has a little apple symbol on the lower left. It is between the alt/option key and the space bar. On a PC keyboard, it will be the windows key, I think.
1) You can change the password on an account. ( Do you know Unix. You are in a Unix single user console. ) The setup commands you need should be listed on the screen. For Mac OS 10.4.11, the commands are:
# Type the follow two instructions to access the startup disk in read/write:
/sbin/fsck -fy
/sbin/mount -uw /
# Start up some utility processes that are needed.
sh /etc/rc
# You will probably need to press the return key once the system stops typing.
# To find out the users on the system type, use the list command. The l is a lower case L:
ls /Users
# One of these accounts will be the administrator.
# Pick one of the users which I'll call a-user-name and type it in this command:
passwd a-user-name
# and enter the new user password. You need six characters.
# You will need to enter your password twice. Your typing will not show up on the screen just
# press enter when you complete the typing.

man ls
man passwd
The root account isn't enabled by default. I am not sure if changing the password on root will enable it.
2) Get the Mac to set up an additional administrative account. You can then change the password on your old account.
Start with your computer power off. Hold down command-s. Power on your computer.
Type in the following:
The first two commands will depend on your release of Mac OS X. Look at what is typed out in the console to determine the exact format.

I have to perform an OS/DB Migration of a SAP XI 3.0 (WAS640-SR1), an ABAP + JAVA addin configuration.
I would like to know if SAPinst for WAS640 (and SR1) could perform an export for both ABAP & JAVA in one shot as it seems possible in NW7.0 SAPinst version. None of the WAS 640 OS/DB migration guides gives these possibility.
And if not not, could U confirm that I have to perform 1st an export (with R3LOAD) of ABAB stack, then an export (with JLOAD) of the JAVA one ?
And apply the same way for installation with R3load and JLOAD downloaded files ?

No, both exports cannot be executed in one single step. You have to execute the procedure twice, once for ABAP and once for Java, like you already mentioned yourself..

Right click on clp in TL and select reove attributes>Filter
or
Open clip in Viewer, Click on Filter tab. In Nemeric view, far left for each filter, select and hit delete.

Retriggerable one shot - polarity change

I'm using a NI-6602 to create retriggerable, one-shot generation on 4 channels. I can get the correct pulse generation for low to hi to low polarity, but simply changing the high to low on the idle state does not invert the signal. I'm using the DAQmx Create Channel node, and my counters are all synchronized, but the program doesn't create the correct output. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Yeah, the method for reversing polarity was one of the quirks of moving from Trad. NI-DAQ to DAQmx. Under the traditional drivers, you defined a pulse as a delay interval followed by a pulse interval. You didn't explicitly set a high time and a low time. The counter would be in its idle state during the delay and in active state during the pulse. To define polarity, you would set a single parameter (I don't remember the syntax anymore...), and then the driver would figure out how to map from delay/pulse to low/high.
I think the high time / low time terminology of DAQmx is more universally understandable, but there are occasions where it slightly complicates the configuration of output pulses. A couple careers ago, I was putting together apps for automatic motor testing that often used a PWM-based speed control. Some motors had active high PWM and others were active low. In traditional NI-DAQ, this was actually a little simpler to accomodate than if I were doing it now with DAQmx. Not that I want to go back or anything -- DAQmx's advatages far outweigh the relatively few inconveniences.

How to set Compatibility Mode for a single site in ie10

I am having problem with getting ie10 to set ie9 compatibility for a single site (sharepoint.contoso.com).
When I add this website in Compatibility View Settings (Alt > Tools > Compatibility View Settings > 'Add this Website') it adds the domain 'contoso.com' and not the individual website (sharepoint.contoso.com).
This cause other sites (www.contoso.com) to be configured to use compatibility mode. Because this is a separate site (different web server) to the site sharepoint.contoso.com (sharepoint 2010 server) we need different compatibility settings.
Using a different example to explain the issue -
Microsoft has three websites that are different websites created by different developers written in different programming languages and they only work with certain browsers.
microsoft.com (Website1 created by Developer1) - compatible with ie8/ie9/ie10
msdn.microsoft.com (Website2 created by Developer2) - compatible with ie8/ie9
technet.microsoft.com (Website3 website created by Developer3) - compatible only with ie10
The only thing the three website share is the URL contains 'microsoft.com'.
Marking 'msdn.microsoft.com' to run in compatibility mode affects the other 2 websites - mainly technet.microsoft.com which will not work now since it only runs in pure ie10 mode.
Should you be able to add an individual site to the compatibility list instead of all sites that have .microsoft.com in the URL? Am I missing a simple setting in the ie10?
As a workaround I am using the F12 Developer Tools to set the Browser Mode which temporary sets the compatibility mode. However this is not a nice solution to the end users at our organisation.

Oh! I wrote it wrong: I should have said: This is not solved for NON-AD environments. No demands what so ever to use Window 7/8 professional in a small corporation or on a big corporation with Island of smaller departments for example offshore.
The problem is that the thread is not "Answered" by the OP, its is marked answered by a moderator (and same moderator that did the answer) so no way of telling if the OP is satisfied.
But you are right in the fact that I am almost kidnapping the thread. But a complete answer would benefit all in this case I would presume.

But it appears that reality is not perfect. I observed on iPhone 3 that memory could be pretty clogged from time to time and I needed to restart it to free up memory and get it back to original speed again. It all depends on which apps you are running. Some appears to eat more memory than others. On iPhone 4, it appears to be less of a problem and I have seen that later iOS releases also makes this less of a problem. I only have a first generation iPad, but I have seen that later iOS releases have improved memory handling significantly there as well. However, it appears to be a good idea to reboot the device after a week or two just to flush the memory. I can't prove this theory scientifically, but I do see a difference in memory usage when doing this.
The reason I actually tried "Process Killer" was a tip that it addressed the problems many of us encountered with the first iOS 5 release: frequent crashes and slow performance. After the pretty quickly released iOS 5 update, that wes pretty much solved, but occasionally killing processes actually helped me at that point, It made both my devices more stable.
The original question was about battery performance, there I don't think that the amount of processes running is the key. A much better way of getting more out of your battery is shutting off location services in apps where they are not really needed. I would guess that turning off push notofications for as many apps as possible helps as well.
Also, turn off the Personal Hotspot on iPhone when it's not needed!
