Only one IP is Picked for SCAN
Hi guys,
I'm trying to setup a 11gR2 RAC on Linux 5.5 on a Virtualbox environment (Host OS : Windows 7 and guest OSs: Linux 5.5).
Grid installation goes on up "Net Configuration Assistant" and fails.
When the SCAN configurations are checked, it seems odd. Only one IP has been picked. I'm using the DHCP server comes with Virtualbox (host only adapter) itself.

I using a BIND server on my Windows box. And I'm forwarding my cluster sub domain ( c1.greenisland.net ) to gns which is assigned a VIP (192.168.56.50) during the installation.

Secondly, I come to your question: Did anything change on your Mac recently, such as replacing the disk or main logic board?
The answer is “yes”. Two events have happened both of which concerned the Time Capsule:
The telephone company, with which I have access to the Internet and I have my email account, installed a new modum. After the technician left I had to try and get the Time Capsule and WiFi working again which ended with my having to call Apple for technical assistance. The Apple technician walked me through a number of procedural steps which effectively re-set up the Time Capsule.
Access to the Internet failed and the telephone company reset the modum. I had to call Apple again. This time the technician did not reset the Time Capsule but walked me through a number of steps tha included renaming the “site” (not the Time Capsule).
Another piece of information that may be relevant is that the MacBook Pro uses the Time Capsule for backup. Everything appears to be in order. When I enter the Time Capsule for this laptop I have backups going back for a long time.
Also, I do a weekly backup of the two computers onto another external hard drive using the Time Machine software. So I have another backup of both computers. -
My IPad 2, IPhone 3GS ans iPod no longer work with apple TV, I have 2 apple TV in my house and for he last 3 weeks the iPod was the only one we could use for appleTV now none of them works, the apple TV icon does not show up any more. Re-started everything.

RESPONSES:
1) When I set up my iMac, I did not transfer any data directly from my windows PC. I simply used the same iTunes login and account. I have access to all of the files via the "Purchased" section of the iTunes store. If I click "Download Previous Purchases" text, I can download ALL of the purchases I have ever made.
2) I have the Apple TV 2, so good news, question answered. I thought maybe it was the Apple TV 1, but it is the Black model, so bam. Good response for you. Well the whole damned reply is an awesome response, just pointing out that one piece of awesome. I stated that it was an Apple TV 2, and yet you were still good enough to figure I could be mistaken, and provide me with knowleedge just incase.
QUESTIONS:
3) So can my iMac not stream the data directly from itunes, without download? Apple TV can, but perhaps that is something among many things that maker it unique, and awesome.

I work in the computer support section for the Military. The only problem is we use Windows , lol. Well that and i've been gone for nearly 6 months on recover. I go back next month though I hope. I want to be able to use only one instance of Pod Farm for my guitars, and have all of my guitar tracks run through it while I'm recording.
What he said. Or here is a similar approach with a picture.
1. Press the SEND button on every stereo (or mono) guitar track you want to send through the effect. Then select a free bus.
2. Make sure you turn up the amount of send (in db). Holding alt while leftclicking on this circle sets the send level to 0 db wich is good.
3. Open the mixer (Cmd+2). Please see that I here have turned the output off from the stereo guitar track. That way the only output will be the BUS, in your case the AmpTrack bus where all your guitars will pass through. If you want both the original guitar sound AND the Ampfarm effect then just set all outputs on your guitar tracks to Stereo Out, like the AmpF Bus track is set in my picture.
4. Insert your AmpFarm plugin here. I don´t have that plug so I inserted Waves Renes Axe for demo purpose.
Adjust the volume/effect of every guitartrack by turning the circle input shown as 2. in my picture.
I now see that you mentioned Pod Farm, not AmpFarm. But I guess it´s the same trick.

Marking only one of two quizzes for bilingual content - Captivate 4
I'm trying to create bilingual content with Captivate 4 that has a language selection screen and then a French quiz or an English quiz but only score one of them for the LMS (Saba 5.4 SP2).
I can create a multi-Scorm package but the LMS will score against the total of both quizzes even if you take only one ie. if each quiz is out of 100 the lms will score out of 200 so that you can only get a maximum of 50% if you complete only one quiz.
Is there a way to edit the imsmanifest so that only the quiz that is taken is scored against?I know of no way to do this without having two totally separate courses. One in English, one in French. I think your better option is to have the user make their language choice BEFORE entering the course itself, rather than trying to manipulate scoring and content WITHIN the course. Having two different languages in a single course, when only one of them is actually going to be reuqired by the learner, is likely to require a much heavier download that is really necessary.

Although I have synced my ipad to only one PC computer I now get the message that it is synced to another computer and only one computer sync is permitted. I have lots of apps on the ipad and do not want to loose everything by starting fresh with the ipad. How can I get the ipad to again accept my computer and sync successfully?

User needs to see only one E&A database for manual data entry

Please can you suggest a solution for the following requirement.
Requirement is that when a user log in to the Entry & Approval to entry the manual KPIs he should see only the one database which he is allowed to instead of drop-down and select the database which he has to enter the data as multiple models are created to Entry& Approval and Scorecards.
Tried to create model connection for the model and assigned to the user and when i login with that users also all the databases are visible and have to select a database from the list of databases available for entry&approval.

Vinay.More information, after running a profile trace the following 2 statements, the column with the default on a UDF returns a row while the other default does not. This might be the cause of this bug. Is the same logic to generate the object on

Only ONE contact not working for Messages?
Hi All,
Hope you can help me with this one... and please, I'm hoping for input from as many who have an idea, so please don't feel like there's no need to jump in on this even if there's someone else here posting with a solution. These threads are most useful with more than one insight. I'll try them all.
So, here it goes...
We've got an iPhone 4s on one end... and probably (but I'm not certain) an iPhone 4s at the other (could be an iPhone 4).
On both ends, both users can send texts and SMS/MMS messages to everyone else in their respective phone books. They can also send each other emails successfully. But they cannot -- on either end -- send each other Messages (SMS/MMS or regular Messages).
On both ends, the other user comes up as a red contact and the messages bounce back "not delivered."
And we can't, for the life of us, figure out why.
ALSO, in case it means anything, only this ONE contact comes up as red when typed into Messages on the companion Macbook. So it's not just the iPhone on our end that's an issue. (NOTE: I'm only at one end of the chain here, helping my mother-in-law with her phone. Her daughter is at the other, several States away. So we can't see what she's got going on with her phone.).
Here's what we've tried so far, with no luck (so jump past any recommendations that include the following, please):
1) On both ends, we have deleted and recreated Contact cards.
2) I logged out of iCloud, allowing it to delete the local contact cards etc. and logged back in.
3) I logged out of the Messages account on this end and then logged back in.
4) On both ends, we've checked to make sure neither contact is blocked (well, on this end anyway... on that end, they say they have but we're not sure if they're doing it right).
Note: I have NOT reset the Network Settings... but only because all other contacts but this one are working.
Any ideas, guys?

And I've already sent a link to the person with the other phone, suggesting she do that too. Also thanks for the point on the MacBook not being able to send SMS. Good point.
That said, yep... I'm sure I'm not trying to send an SMS. Even so, that would at least go in green... right? But we cannot send either SMS or iMessage from this end. When I open a new Message... and type in the contact name... it goes red. Just red. As though it's already unreachable. Even though it's the right number and the right email address. I would at least expect that it would, if she weren't registered to iMessage, be deliverable as an SMS (green)... but no.
Here's the process, if it helps:
I open a new message and type in the address -- it goes red (already a sign of trouble).
Then I try to type in a message anyway. It goes green.
Then I hit send and get back a "Not Delivered" error.
Same on her end.
Now, here's something interesting.... I'm typing to you now on a different machine, running under a different administrator (me) and I've just tried to send a message to the same two recipients. One, my mother-in-law's, works just fine. The other, my sister-in-law's ALSO goes red on my machine.

By this, I'm assuming you only mean that each person's sending and reachable addresses are listed in the settings, right?
I guess it's possible she never set that up (on the other end) but she says she can text fine with everyone except her mom.
On the other hand, why would her email address go red in my new Message window too? -

my client wants that he be able to post only through one GL account to one internal order
that is for Marketing dept,(departments are created as cost centers)
Canteen exp internal order 1000
Entertainment exp internal order 1001
Gift exp Internal order 1002
that is when GL account canteen exp is used (for cost center 1000 (marketing)) then internal order 1000 can be used but if entertainment exp is to be booked internal order 1000 cannot be used. in this case only internal order 1001 should be allowed
We are using real internal order (settlement will happen at end of month)
Can you let me know if this is possible in standard SAP or any workaround.

If internal order must be filled in these GL then you can meet your requirement by creating the validation. To meet this requirement three steps are to be created in one validation. One step is created below to make you create two more steps by your self.
Create validation under Financial Accounting Line Item using transaction GGB0.
Step 1.
Prerequisites. (Go to settings>Expert mode and fill following)
BSEG-BUKRS = '1000' AND (here instead of 1000 you enter your company code)
BSEG-HKONT = '450000' (here instead of 450000 you enter GL for canteen expense)
Check
BSEG-AUFNR = '1000'
Message
Click on pencil icon and create below message or the message you want.
Intenal Order 1000 is allowed for canteen expenses.
Assign this validation to your company code using transaction OB28 with call up point 2.
Similarly you can create two more steps. Thus your requirement can be met.

Only one display resolution option for monitor
I just installed a new SSD in my computer, and then installed SL onto the drive. I have an Asus monitor, and Display Preferences on the SL install on the older HD gave me a variety of screen resolutions to choose from. But on the SSD install I only have one option (1280x800). What do I need to do to get a wider range of resolution options (including one that will look right with this monitor)? Thanks.
Which computer? What did you use to install Snow Leopard, a retail version or the disks from another machine?

Error message KI249- Enter only one true account assignment for each cost

When i released a billing to accounting tcode VF02, i encounterd this message: : You made assignments to several objects in CO( cost center, order, project etc). 2 of these have been created as true cost object.
1.There is no order assigned to sales order and billing.
2.Ive defined substitution OKC9 using exit UOKB9.
3.Ive updated table in OKB9.
Now, when i do goods receipt (MIGO) to the same cost element with sales order and its item, system does allow to post that without error.
When debugging, noticed that its looping twice in the cost element and i suspected because of this. Not sure why its looping twice and maybe because looping 1 - in OKB9 and no 2 - substitution.
Then i removed the substitution, but somehow its looping once but without any cost object ( order or cost center).
Hope any expert can provide help in this.Nice to see that you have taken the initiative to update the forum which is missing with many of forum members and in that sense thanks for the same.

1) Service Desk
2) Solution Monitoring
3) System Monitoring
4) Change Management

Anand: This is the most idealistic and SAP recommended way of using Solman....it always better to have it this way no matter in how many scenarios you intend to use Solman for....

is deplloyed to all the servers in the cluster. But as these are message listeners,
i want only one of the instance to be active at a time.
If the server on which the client is active goes down , I want the second server
to start listening to messages.
How do i design this ? Also is there a public api for multicasting that we can
use ?
Anybody has an idea on how to go about this..

Failover message listeners? Sounds like you want MDBs, which are deployed on all nodes in a
cluster. If your JMS destination is a queue, then only one MDB will pick up the message. And just
like any other ejb service, MDBs failover.
