how to create a folder with sub nodes on container.

Hello,
For this rquirement, you need to use two classes:
CL_GUI_CUSTOM_CONTAINER and CL_GUI_ALV_TREE.
a) First on the screen, create a Custom Control with name say 'Test'
b) Then in the PBO of the screen, create an object of CL_GUI_CUSTOM_CONTAINER with the control name as 'Test'
c) Then create an object of class CL_GUI_ALV_TREE with the parent as the object created in (b)
d) Build the field catalog, layout and use the method set_table_for_first_display
e) after this create the tree structure using ADD_NODES method
For further reference, use amy program starting with BCALV_TREE*

From ME57, one can get a list of purchase requisitions, click "Assignments," and then "Process Assignment."
What next appears is a list of requisitions in a Tree ALV grid. The title of the grid is: "Convert Purchase Requisitions."
I would like to add a new field from EBAN to this ALV grid. The field is not currently available in change layout. The structure that I think is displayed is MMPUR_S_DBL_ASSIGNEDREQS.
Is there a BADI or some other way to get additional fields on this Tree report (which, of course, is used to drag requisitions to the right side of the screen in ME21N)????????

That's exactly what you should do. Perhaps you can do it even better by creating a class to retrieve the Selection Screen and its values from any running report and give it a nice printable format for the report header. This shouldn't be hard to pull.
Check Function Module DYNPRO_FIELD_GET for a start. It will retrieve the selection screen values the user has filled for a particular report at runtime.

For your example you might want lists (ordered children). Otherwise you could use it pretty much as-is:

Just to clarify, you would build the above tree however you want to, but would only need to retain the reference to the "root" node in order to pass it into search methods.
I should also point out that if you're planning to do a lot of this sort of thing and you're not committed to using Java, you should probably consider using LISP for which this sort of problem is pretty much its raison d'etre.

There is one option -Export' in menu bar of ALV grid itself. Click on that and then click 'Local File'. Then choose 'Spreadsheet' option and provide local PC path for download.

OOP's ALV : Download to excel issue

Hi All,
I am using oops ALV in a report .
I need to implement it in such a way that when user export the list to excel
1. Downloaded excel should also contain the data printed in top- of-page followed by the grid data.
i.e some desired records followed by the main records.
I am able to display the output data as desired, But when I download data to excel, it gives only records
from grid and not the top-of-page data.
Please let me know how to solve this ?
Do I need to change approach?

Hi,
To display the top of page in ALV FM we use the TOP_OF_PAGE event to display the data. But in Oop's Concept if you populate the data in TOP_OF_PAGE event the data will not be displayed in ALV layout but when print preview or print then you can see the TOP_OF_PAGE data.
So to show the data on the ALV layout we use the split conatainer concept. Split the container in two and display ALV in below container and TOP_OF_PAGE in top container.
Apart from having above you still populate the TOP_OF_PAGE event of ALV. This will be come into picture in case of download,Print priview & Print.

GUI status in OOPS in ALV

Hi Gurus,
Am developing the ALV report in OOPS. In that report am displaying 2 grids one after the other. My problem here is am getting the tool bar separately for the 2 grids. So i disabled the tool bar for two grids in layout. And i copied the standard gui status SLVC_FULLSCREEN into that report. Now am getting the tool bar. But i did nt get the button events. The buttons are clickable but the functionality is not doing. How to get the functionalites for the ZSLVC_FULLSCREEN. Please guide me some suggestions how to copy the functionalites for those.
