Open a webpage in a webpage

Hi! I'm currently using the HTML code:
<CENTER>
<OBJECT data=http://www.macromedia.com width="100%"
height="90%">
<EMBED src=http://www.macromedia.com width="100%"
height="90%">
Error: Embedded data could not be displayed. </OBJECT>
</CENTER>
This works if I want to embed 1particular website. I would
like to expand this code so I can change the website displayed
using a form on the parent page.
So underneath the embedded website would appear: Go to URL
This is so web browsing can occur in IE kiosk mode
Thank you

Mmmm look at an iframe instead, give it a name and use the
target aspect of
a form, or javascript or a href="asd" target="this"

  • Safari will not open any webpages

Safari will not open any webpages. I can hit home page and nothing happens.
I click on a bookmarked page nothing happens.

    Hello,
What version of Safari are you using?
If 3.0.4, check the contents of these folders:
    /Users/YourUsername/Library/Input Managers/
    /Users/YourUsername/Library/Application Support/
    /Library/Input Managers/
    /Library/Application Support/
If there is anything in them, drag the contents onto your Desktop and retry.

Not a virus, but it is malware: The Safe Mac » Search Results » adware removal.
    Helpful Links Regarding Malware Protection
An excellent link to read is Tom Reed's Mac Malware Guide.
Also, visit The XLab FAQs and read Detecting and avoiding malware and spyware.
    See these Apple articles:
Mac OS X Snow Leopard and malware detection
OS X Lion- Protect your Mac from malware
OS X Mountain Lion- Protect your Mac from malware
About file quarantine in OS X
If you require anti-virus protection Thomas Reed recommends using Dr.Web Light from the App Store. It's free, and since it's from the App Store, it won't destabilize the system. If you prefer one of the better known commercial products, then Thomas recommends using Sophos.(Thank you to Thomas Reed for these recommendations.) If you already use Sophos, then be aware of this if you are using Mavericks: OS X Mavericks- Sophos Anti-Virus on-access scanner versions 8.0 - 9.1 may cause unexpected restarts
From user Joe Bailey comes this equally useful advice:
    The facts are:
    1. There is no anti-malware software that can detect 100% of the malware out there.
    2. There is no anti-malware that can detect anything targeting the Mac because there
is no Mac malware in the wild, and therefore, no "signatures" to detect.
    3. The very best way to prevent the most attacks is for you as the user to be aware that
the most successful malware attacks rely on very sophisticated social engineering
techniques preying on human avarice, ****, and fear.
    4. Internet popups saying the FBI, NSA, Microsoft, your ISP has detected malware on
your computer is intended to entice you to install their malware thinking it is a
        protection against malware.
    5. Some of the anti-malware products on the market are worse than the malware
from which they purport to protect you.
    6. Be cautious where you go on the internet.
    7. Only download anything from sites you know are safe.
    8. Avoid links you receive in email, always be suspicious even if you get something
you think is from a friend, but you were not expecting.
    9. If there is any question in your mind, then assume it is malware.

  • Safari not open some webpages

Hi there, I am a newbie on Mac and however on Safari. Sorry for my english too.
I have problems to open some webpages with Safari, so I must use Firefox for some websites.
Is that normal? I prefer Safari and I would like to use only it, but that's not possible, so I must use only Firefox as my preferred browser!
I am not happy for this solution!

    HI,
No, that's not normal. If you can open the same site on Firefox, then Safari should be able to also.
    Try trouble shooting...
From the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Reset Safari. Select the top 7 buttons and click Reset. Then relaunch Safari and try a webpage you couldn't open before. If it still won't load the page...
Go to the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari/Preferences. Make note of all the preferences under each tab. Quit Safari. Now go to ~/Library/Preferences and move this file com.apple.safari.plist to the Desktop.
Relaunch Safari and see if that makes a difference. If not, move the .plist file back to the Preferences folder. If Safari functions as it should, move that .plist file to the Trash. If you still have problems...
Launch Disk Utility. (Applications/Utilities) Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, select the FirstAid tab. Click: Repair Disk Permissions. When it's finished from the Menu Bar, Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac. If you see a long list of "messages" in the permissions window, it's ok. That can be ignored. As long as you see, "Permissions Repair Complete" when it's finished... you're done. Quit Disk Utility and *restart your Mac.*

  • Since downloading Maverick, I cannot click to open new webpages from links in emails.I am not sure if there is a setting to change since the update

When I am looking over an email and want to open a webpage, nothing happens when I click the link

Select a default web browser in the General tab of the Safari preferences window.

  • Opening a webpage in a new TAB in OBIEE 11G

I am working on Action Links in OBIEE11g where I am supposed to open a webpage in a new TAB from a report using Action Links. I am able to open the link in a new window but not in new tab. Is there any solution for this? Any help would really be appreciated!

CSS will not help you at all (style sheet can make your link nice and colorful, but will not any impact on what the link does).
JS is the same, it will not help you because tab/windows is subject to the user settings (JS works into the webpage, but has no control, luckily for all of us, on the browser itself).
Srini VEERAVALLI gave you the answer, the same (just different place) is valid for FF or Chrome.

    Try this:
    1. Double-click the Home button to reveal Task Bar at bottom
    2. Hold the Safari app down for a second or two until you see the minus sign
    3. Tap the minus sign to close app
    4. Re-launch the app and test
Note: If necessary close all apps in the Task Bar

  • Error when opening a webpage

i just bought this macbook and i started having trouble when opening some webpages, the status bar shows that a certain number of errors have occured when opening the page.
It happens specially in all the profiles and main pages of myspace.com, so most of the pics in the page are not loaded, nor the audio, nor videos

I trashed a little program called iStumbler that was recommended on the Apple web site for security. Now my wifi is back to normal. Perhaps the settings in iStumbler were confusing things.

ps. I am as new as they come regarding web design -

What is happening is that there is some process on the website that is detecting the screen size of the visitor and redirecting smartphones to a mobile directory, hence the error message -

  • Help..i can't open a webpage with my laptop

I hooked the aiport to my desktop via an ethernet line and now I can't get my laptop to open a webpage. It is receiving a great signal from the airport but will not allow internet explorer to open a page. I contacted the the wireless company and they said it has to do with the item the signal is coming from. This is all new to me so any kind of help would be great.
    Thanks

Hello beckster1220. Welcome to the Apple Discussions!
If the desktop is connected to the AirPort Express Base Station (AX) via Ethernet, is the AX connected to another wireless Internet router for Internet access? If so, what is the make/model of this wireless router? If it's another AirPort, do you have the two router configured in a Wireless Distribution System (WDS)?

  • How to automatically open a webpage chrome, firefox... in full screen mode

I am programming labview to open some webpages and then record the activities of the mouse and keyboard.  To make sure that it always start at the same size by full screen it.  I use system exe vi and able to open the webpages, but i don't know how to full screen automatically.  If you know how, please let me know.  Thank you.
    Son

There's certainly no standard full-screen command in Windows, because there's no such concept. That's something that each program decides for itself. You could try seeing if the different browsers can process command line switches to open at full screen or whether they have some addons (like GreaseMonkey) which will allow you to automatically run the full-screen command when the browser loads.
    Some other alternatives:
    Simulate an F11 key press.
Send the F11 window message to the browser.
Display the browser in an ActiveX or .NET control on a front panel, the size of which you can control.
Try to take over the world!

  • Safari loads 100% CPU while opening a webpage when working in cooperation with DeviceLock

I have Safari 5.0.5 and DeviceLock 7.1 installed on same computer running Windows XP x86.
When I confugure any network protocol settings in Devicelock (to make its network module active), Safari loads 100% CPU while opening any webpage, for example http://www.apple.com/startpage/
This issue doesn't occurs on other browsers - Internet Explorer, Firefox, so I assume the issue belongs to Safari, not to DeviceLock.

It may not be DeviceLock, or Windows. I see (via Activity Monitor) Safari use 100% CPU while loading a new page on my G5 iMac. Then it drops back again. It may be something to do with Safari 5.0.5
