Open GL pipeline : Text are not displayed in JComponent

I have a problem: Using the opengl pipeline (-Dsun.java2d.opengl=True) on a very simple program
which display a frame by screen device (two screens) with a JButton, i have the following effect:
Using JRE 1.6_03 the button's text are displayed
Using JRE 1.6_04 the text on one screen does not appear.
In the two case, I have the message OpenGL pipeline enabled on screen 0:0 and 0:1.
My configuration is:
NVIDIA Quatro NVS 285
xorg.conf configured in TwinView
I have tried the several options (-Dsun.java2d.opengl.fbobject=false, etc.) but still doesn't work.
Does someone can help Me ?
What can this be explained.
When I move the frame on which the text appear to the other one, the text dissapear !!!
I only hace the following trace (J2D_TRACE_LEVEL=4) but I have it with the jre 1.3 and all work fine:
"Could not fine an appropriate fbconfig"

The poster in that thread couldn't find a solution, just a workaround. If you do a search, there are several open bugs related to OpenGL and text. For example, this bug seems to describe exactly the same behavior as you just described, except with a different version of java. In the comments section of that bug is this
I was able to workaround this problem by using the following flag: -Dawt.useSystemAAFontSettings=lcd

Pictures and texts are not displayed properly

Hello Apple users,
I've the 15 inch Macbook Pro with retina display, running Mountain Lion. I have noticed that when I chat with my friends in Facebook, the texts in the chat window are not displayed properly. This also happens when flipping through photos that were uploaded in Facebook. Also, pictures are not displayed properly in other websites. For example, today I was reading the news in the Guardian when I noticed that the top bar and a picture weren't displayed properly. The top bar should have showed News, Sports, Comment, Culture, Pensions, etc. all in the same line. Also look at the photo titiled "Should building socities do buy-to-let?" If any extensions are installed, disable them and test.

Text area not displaying all rows

I have a SQL query as the source for a text field that returns several rows. However, the text area (display as text (do not save state)) only displays the data from the first row in the query. How do I get the rest as well?

SQL as source assumes you will return exactly one value. If you return more, it only takes the first. Instead, use a function body and return a concatenation of what you want:

When I save web page on my HDD then when I try to open it the pictures are not displayed?

I have saved on my hdd webpage and folder with all pictures, but when I try to open it by doubleclick it open onli web page with text but picture stay clear (only borders)

Thank you for your question. I do not believe that the proper links have been updated to reference the newly saved file path of the local webpage that you saved.
Can you please check the webpage content that was saved to see if there is an image stored in a folder? They should be. If not, can you please provide an example webpage and I will try it? I tried this webpage and did not have any missing images.

RH 10 - chm opens but topics are not displaying

Hi,
I generated a chm file, and save it on our network drive for others to open and review. When they open it, the topics are not displaying. Should it work that way? Should the chm be on my local machine for it to display the topics properly?

Are you using Chrome? Try opening it in MSIE and see if it opens properly. From my experience the Chrome bug seems to be fixed – but perhaps not?

Images are not displayed in Details Page of Open script

I am trying to record a web application with open script.
After recording the images are not displayed when playing back the script.
Are there any option we have to enable to get the images.

As per default OpenScript will ignore any URL that contains an image, to change the filters you can:
View -> OpenScript Preferences > Record -> HTTP Module -> Select the URL filters Tab to add/remove or edit any filters
You can un-check the first one on the list to enable image recording.

Text does not display in address bar or any windows I open

Text does not display when typing in address bar. When I open a window (eg Edit > Preferences) no text is displayed within that either.
Problem has persisted through Ubuntu 12.04 (possibly 11.10) to 13.04. Has also remained after re-installs, both through use of Software Centre, and through Terminal commands, and after running purge of all firefox content.
Running Firefox as root using gksu command also doesnt help.

Have finally solved,
1st checked default system fonts available using unity-tweak
Then went to ~.mozilla/firefox and found prefs.js file, deleted everything to do with fonts and families, saved and restarted.
The odd thing is how this file persisted despite removing and purging firefox.

The Forms are not displaying correctly

the Forms are not displaying correctly. Editing mode and printing mode are missing contents of notes/text field (Additional Notes, Background or Need, Project Summary). Second issue is when viewing/printing a Project Profile - Short Form, the text fields
are shrink, they are not displayed full high to show all the text. It was working with IE9, IE10, but now IE10 and IE11 dont work.

tested with Google Chrome and that seems to work the best in terms of viewing and printing the forms.
Then you could try spoofing Google Chrome using a User-Agent string override and Document mode Edge. Or open IECompatData.xml to see if you should have Compatibility View enabling Microsoft's list. Or report your problem symptom and

Edge animation-images are not displayed on my dreamweaver-site

Hello, could someone please help me?
My animation, which is inserted into a Dreamweaver-website, shows no pictures - only text elements when you open the page in the browser. In the live view and preview in the browser the images are displayed but on the Website they are not display. I have already set the file permissions to 777 - but it did not help.
When i open the Animation without my Dreamweaver-site - only the Animation in the browser the Images are displayed correctly.

Chinese characters are not displayed in the Firefox bookmarks

Chinese characters are not displayed in the Firefox bookmarks. The name looks like e.g. "??????? ???? cn.nytimes.com"
Chinese character of the site name is displayed ok in the head of the browser window and there is no problem reading chinese web content. I use Firefox Portable 11 /English from portableapps.com in Windows XP.
I googled and got some tips:
1) Set your browser to recognise Chinese language internet sites.
Windows users: Under "Tools - Options" on your browser's menu-bar add Chinese to the languages list.
- I did this.
2) Set your browser's "Character Set" or "Encoding" to UTF-8 (sometimes also called Universal Alphabet or Unicode).
Encoding settings can be changed under the "View" option in your browser's menu-bar.
- It was already set to UTF-8.
3) Windows users: If Chinese text still does not display correctly, East Asian language support may need to be enabled.
- This has been done when I installed Windows.
I still don't get any Chinese fonts in the bookmark names. I can edit the bookmark name with chinese characters and then save the bookmark, it works fine. But why does not Firefox recognize the characters when saving bookmarks? Help is appreciated.

No I didn't change anything deep beneath the hood. My problem didn't apply to the URL, but to the name of the link or bookmark header or whatever you would like to call it. (When hitting Ctrl + D there is a Name field). I only got ???????? instead of chinese characters in the name. Also for e.g. www.cntv.cn ...but maybe all China is not in the whitelist either. ;-) But anyway, this was not the real problem for me.
Apparently I was wrong as after a reboot of the computer it worked. The solution seemed to be to add Chinese to the language list. I don't know why it was not enough to restart Firefox?
Now I only have problems to show chinese characters in the name field of my external link manager... But I guess it is not an issue for Mozilla.

I don't know how to read the code you pasted or I would have checked this myself.
Do your fields in the internal table reference dictionary objects or elementary types? If not using dictionary types, the column names will be blank by default. If you can't change your fields to be dictionary types, you can try this to change the column names:

Text is not displayed / Text wird nicht angezeigt

Working with FM 11 I've got a longer text written with an older FM-version with some headings and paragraphes that are not displayed. It's just free space or lines and in some cases it's underlined like misspelled words but the characters are not visible. Paragraph- and character-formats look normal (that is black text on white background) and the text is not conditional. BUT the text is displayed in the Markers-Pod, when I mark a passage and it's even possible to find words in these paragraphs searching for them. I would appreciate any hint, how to deal with this problem.

Sometimes I encounter a bug (FrameMaker 11.0.2.348) which also hides some text. I have a two-column layout with columns balanced. Usually some text is hidden at the end of the second column. When I add some empty paragraphs after the hidden text, the text appears again.
MIF washing does not help.
Luckily pages with hidden text have the Overflow property set. The bottom line of the text frame is solid. I wrote a FrameScript which checks for such pages.
I do not know, if your problem has the same cause.

My 4S has stopped ringing. Voicemail's disabled but if you call me, you'll hear it ring your end but it does nothing at mine and freezes if I make a call. Texts are not being delivered or coming through delayed. Ringer is on, tone enabled - help!

Voicemail is disabled but if you call me, you'll hear it ringing at your end but it does nothing my end and freezes in the phone app if I make a call (doesn't ring or connect and doesn't freeze the phone, just the calling part). Texts are not being delivered or coming through delayed. Ringer is on, tone enabled - help!
I've disabled roaming so it only runs on wifi (this after getting a £4k phone bill...) and I can use Skype, Viber and WhatsApp with no problem at all.

Hi there - am with Orange and they said nothing wrong with account and service running normally. They said if they had cut me off I would've received a text (debatable with current message receiving situation!) and when I called out it would say 'calls from this number are barred'. Also if you called me it would say something similar. But it doesn't, it will ring and ring until it rings off but nothing happens at all on my handset. Not even a missed call notification. If I call out, it will display that it is calling the number but that's it. If I cancel the call it will constantly display 'ending call'. Vietnamese fonts are not displayed correctly.

The character set used is Composite Unicode and input method is VNI. I tried VN forum but no one care about it =.= Also this is the FF problem those texts displayed correctly in Chrome. Entity Descriptions are not displayed correctly in Combo box dropdown list

In Web Analysis, Entity Descriptions are not displayed correctly in Combo box dropdown list when entity descriptions from HFM contains a dot(.)
Example:
'Entity A. LTD' becomes 'LTD'
'Entity B Inc.' becomes blank
It seems that everything before the dot is not displayed when opening the combobox.
It looks like it is acting like the option to show short description for entities in HR where the parent-child relation is not shown. This behaviour I don't expect for descriptions. And in my opinion is not an option in Web Analysis.
Does anybody knows the sollution or have seen this issue before?

This is a known issue with combo box list of values.
Please follow this workaround:
- Remove ComboboxLOV on Deptno
- Create an updateable transient attribute(Say Dname) of type String
- Define combobox lov with following values:
List Data Source: DeptView1
List Attribute: Dname
List Return Values:
Dname - Dname
Deptno - Deptno
UI Hints: Display Attribute - Dname
- Edit Dname(transient attribute) and provide following groovy expression
oracle.jbo.Key key = new oracle.jbo.Key(Deptno);
return DeptView1.findByKey(key, 1)[0].getAttribute("Dname");- Now, you are done and observe that Dname combo box lov shows Description even on selection and change in this combo box sets the Deptno value
