I wonder how can I generate PDF reports in FlexBuilder 4.5, because I know that not being possible to use iframe which is used in Flex3.

I already encountered this kind of issue (before SP9) but it may be the same problem. When using a multi-node environnement you connect either on server0 or server1 (load balancing), same issue when running a background job they can be stored on server0 file structure or server1.
Let's take an example, while login if you're connected on server0 and job spool for job XXX have been stored on server1 you won't be able to see them, but if you connect again and that time you (luckily) log on server1 then you will be able to see them (but not server0 spools anymore !).
To solve this issue you have to specify in the configuration tab of CC the absolute storage location of your spool files: Configuration->Miscellaneous->Background Job Spool File Location
You can also use the following URL to determine whether or not you are running a multi-node environnement:
http://yourserver:50000/sap/CCADStatus.jsp (change port number if required).

Error while opening report in pdf through OAF.
This is my first report through OAF and I followed a couple threads discussed on this but I am unable to debug this problem
Requirement - User clicks the image and is prompted to open/save pdf result file.It doesnt take any user parameters
Error is : I get prompted to open/save the pdf file . I click on Open or Save it and then Open, it gives me the following error :
'could not open because it either is not a supported file or because the file has been damaged(for example , it was sent as an email attachement and wasnt correctly decoded)'
Steps taken so far :
1. Created VO with query select a,b,c from Table A
2. Created a simple xml page, with a torch image : Set Action Type and Event property of the Torch Image Item to FireAction and GenerateReport
3. Wrote the code in CO and AM to get the data in XMLNode.
4. I did SOPs , copypasted the xml in notepad saved it as xml, loaded in MSWord and created a template.Viewing pdf generates a pdf here on this data
5. With "XML Publisher Administrator" Responsibility, I created Data Definition and Template Definition.
6. I deployed all the files on server and ran the report. It prompts me to open the pdf but it seems corrupted. In Jserv.log, xml gets printed through SOPs.
One thing I noticed is: <?xml version="1.0"?> is missing from xml.
please assist me , what am I missing here ?

Basically the reason for this is that your "PDF file" is not populated with the correct pdf structure that Adobe recognizes (i.e. save the file and look at it in notepad, you'll see it's probably in html or a java stack trace). 2 reason's this happens
1.You do not have the necessary library files attached to your project i.e. for XMLPublisher you will need $JAVA_TOP/oracle/apps/fnd/* and $JAVA_TOP/oracle/apps/xdo/*. Zip these up and add them to your libraries section of your project.
2. Your XML Publisher properties are not configured correctly. (usually causes a blank file) To change this go to (E-Business Suite>XML Publisher Administrator>Administration>General>Temporary Directory). Depending on what your doing you will need to point this to either a server location or a local location. i.e. when uploading defintion/template and previewing it requires a server-side location to generate a temporary file for the preview, when running a jdeveloper project it will look for a local directory to generate the temporary file. If it cannot find the directory it will throw an error to System.out, and send the HttpServletResponse container a 0bytes file. For local development on a windows box I suggest setting the "Temporary Directory" to something like "C:\oracle" and ensure that folder exists.

Error while opening reports in PDF
Hi,
I have few reports which i open in PDF format. But when i try to open the report i get the following error message.
Adobe Reader could not open "file name.pdf" becasue it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged(for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded).
Earlier it was working fine, but today its not working.
Any help would be really appretiable.

-AmitAnother thing to consider is the data that your report contains. It's possible that the data within the report output contains special characters that are causing problems with the well-formedness of the XML.
I would look at this closely in a case where the reports were running fine and suddenly they stop. Especially if you have a pretty decent amount of DML traffic in the application.

RWI 00236 error while opening report in PDF mode
Hi All,
I'm getting the RWI 00236 error while the report is opened in PDF mode.I have searched on this error but couldn't got the answer so far.My report is quite a large one and i wont get any error while running simple reps.If this is something to do with temp files deletion at server side ,pls let me know which temp files needs to be deleted bcoz there quite few temp files at server level.Ofter getting this error msg ,the report browser hangs up and i needs to logout completely from infoview.

Are you able to open other reports in PDF Mode or not
If you are not able to open any report in PDF format then try to follow below mentioned steps.
1. Open Adobe Acrobat Reader. Click Edit > Preferences.
2. Click Internet in the Categories column of the Preferences property sheet.
3. Choose Display PDF in browser check box as shown below.
4. Click Ok, Adobe will reconfigure the setting, close Reader.
5. Now, when we view in pdf format in IE, we might see one message
6. So, when IE is launched, go to Tools>Manage Add-ons>Enable or Disable Add-ons and then enable
"Adobe PDF Reader Link Helper" add-on. Click Ok, restart IE.

FR: Opening Reports in .pdf over a Web Link URL
Hello,
I want to build a kind of start page in html, from where the users can launch financial reports. For this, I have integrated the URL link to the document like

This opens the report in html.
The question is how to modify the link so it opens in .pdf?

Unable To Open Financial Reporting Reports In PDF In EPM Workspace in 11.1.2.2

We have FR 11.1.2.2 running on AIX and we recently apply a patch 11.1.2.2.303 to this FR 11.1.2.2. As a pre-req we have also apply the patches for HSS and workspace. Now after applying the patch we cannot open the reports in PDF mode in workspace however we can open the reports in HTML mode.
Can anyone help on this!!!

Create a folder named Temp in the root of C: (to match the xdo.cfg file).
- OR -
Edit the path reference in the xdo.cfg file with a valid directory.
- OR -
Remove the applicable line entry from xdo.cfg file:
1. Navigate to the applicable path (the default is Oracle\Middleware\EPMSystem11R1\products\financialreporting\lib\FOProcessor).
2. Open the xdo.cfg file in a text editor.
3. Remove the following line then save the file:
<property name="system-temp-dir">c:\temp</property>
4. Execute the FR reports in workspace with PDF preview to validate the results.
Note: Save a backup copy of xdo.cfg before modifying it.

According to your description, it takes too long to render the report on SharePoint site when accessing it. Right?
In this scenario, it can be many possibilities which will reduce the report performance. We suggest you check the report on ReportServer first. Go to the ReportServer ExecutionLog to see which part takes more time.

FR Report opening blank in PDF Preview
Dear friends, End user has following issue with HFR:
When he opens any report it shows it as blank. He faces this issue with all the reports.
However he is able to open the reports in HTML.
I tried opening the same report it opens fine my side.
I did following troubleshooting with now success:
1. Checked the version of Adobe = 10version
2. made PDF Preview as default in preferances

I am using Dynamic CRM 2013 online. For quote, I have workflow and Dialogue processes for review process. On approval, I want the system to generate a PDF of quote report, attach the PDF and email it to the Customer.
Better I would like, When approver, clicks on the approve button, the system should auto generate a PDF of quote report, attach the PDF and email it to the Customer, without any further input from the user. If its not possible, I may have to put button on

Until the Firefox 23 update I had no difficulty opening or saving pdfs in Firefox, but since the most recent update (Firefox 23) I often get error messages about damaged files when I use the download button and try to open or save files. I've checked with another browser and they open or save fine. I've tried disabling the pdf but it is cumbersome. I am using MSWord 7 if that makes any difference. Is there a fix coming for this?

In order to change the default reader for PDF files (to not open PDF files with Firefox's internal PDF reader), follow these steps:
#Go to ''Tools'' > ''Options'' (or ''Firefox'' > ''Options'').
#In the Options window, select the ''Applications'' tab.
#In the ''Search'' field, type ''PDF''. You should find ''Portable Document Format (PDF)''.
#On the right handside you should find an ''Action'' column. Use that to select Adobe Reader Plugin for Netscape (or something similar). Did this fix your problems? Please report back to us!

I am using CRM ONLINE 2013.
How to automate below process?
1. On Approval Of Quotation, Run Report.
2. Generate PDF.
3. Send an Email With PDF as attachment.
As i have gone through many forums for this topic, but creating a plugin code for generating Report PDF is not possible in CRM ONLINE.
So, What is the alternate way to do this..?

Saving report as PDF and text file
Currently, I saved my report as PDF. It opens in Acrobat reader automatically when the report is executed. Is there a way for me to save it as PDF and as a text file at the same time? (without having to open the file in Acrobat reader and saving it)
You can add your PDF and TEXT file formats to a distribution list (Instead of GENERATE REPORT TO A FILE). To do this:
1. Go to your Object Navigator and highlight your report.
2. Right click on your report. Select Property Palette.
3. Select Distribution
4. You can add of of the formats that you want to print or save to the report to.
5. You will have to add Distribution Id (any number starting with 1) where you want the file to be saved (c:\my_reports\inventory.pdf), the type of file: PDF and how many copies you want: 2
6. Click OK after finishing...
To make it work ... You would highlight your report from your Object Navigator and then choose FILE-DISTRIBUTE and this will save it to all the files your specified and/or printer.
