Open the response in a new browser

hello everybody.
I've got a commandLink in my page:
<h:commandLink target="_blank" value="Consult the product ..." action="#{MyBean.consultAction}" />when the user click over the link "Consult the product ...", I'd like the browser open up a new window showing the product information. but the new page is showing in the same window.
the following code:
<h:outputLink target="_blank" value="/faces/ProductInformation.jsp">
    <h:outputText value="Consult the product ..." />
</h:outputLink>works fine. but I don't want to call directly the page, becouse it is needed previous operations.
is it a bug???

Did you find any solution so far?
I tried something like below and it worked partially.
In parent page I have:
<h:commandLink
onmouseup="document.forms['frmMap'].target='_blank';"
action="#{myBean.showScnrDetails}">
</h:commandLink>
it sets the form's target to _blank for all later actions, not just for this link.
I was thinking after loading the new page, I can reset the parent form's target to _self in the new page. But it did not work.
In the new popuped page I have:
parent.document.forms["frmMap"].target="_self";
*** frmMap is the name of the form in the parent page.
I am not familiar to Javascript. Maybe some grammers here.
Pls let me know your solutions or some new ideas.
