Opening jQuery UI accordion with a link
I need to create a link that once clicked goes to a jQuery UI accordion. I want the link to open up the accordion when its clicked.
I have been following the instructions on: http://foundationphp.com/tutorials/jqui_specific.php
I have added jQuery in my test page but cant figure out how to get the thing to open from a link.
It doesnt look like it should be to difficult but I have been stuck for hours now...
The guide says:

When we were confronted with your orginal questen, we had no idea of the purpose of the accordion panel. This resulted in giving you an answer that was not correct for your application.
What you should have used for your application are a series of collapsible panels.

Performance issue when opening DOCX Word Doc with Excel Links
Is this a bug or is there a config setting that can prevent Word from needlessly opening Excel repeatedly (upon initial open of a DOCX Word doc) when pre-existing links should NOT be updated. The behavior is good using 2003 formats (DOC & XLS),
but varies significantly (~100:1 range in performance) depending on the test scenario (see below) using DOCX with XLSX.
We can't move our environment to the new XML formats until we can find a fix. We were led to believe Microsoft knew this to be a bug in Office 2007, but it has NOT been corrected in Office 2010. Omitting a detailed explanation for why we need to
do this, here's our test scenarios:
-Currently testing Office 2010 Pro Trial version on WIN XP SP3. (We have found similar results using Office 2007 with Win7 or XP).
-Word Option Deselected/DISABLED: "Update Automatic Links at Open"
-The Word Doc contains 100 linked Excel tables and is 130K in size (DOCX).
-Each link points to the same 10x10 cell range in one Excel Workbook located in same directory as the Word Doc, although other tests using separate directories produced similar results.
-The Excel Links were inserted into Word via Paste Special/Paste Link/MS Excel Worksheet Object.
-The workbook (XLSX) is 15K in size.
-All Links are set for "Manual" update, our testing showed no difference if links are set to "Auto".
-Again, Word is set to NOT update Automatic links when the document is opened.
-Results shown below are for local hard drive test.
-Network response times are slightly greater on 100mb LAN
-Word is completely restarted prior to each test to make sure there's no application caching involved.
LOCAL DRIVE RESPONSE TIMES TO OPEN THE WORD DOC in Docx format:
1. Open the Word Doc from Word with Excel closed - 175 seconds (Excel appears to be opened and closed once per link)
2. Open the Word Doc from Word with Excel open & workbook closed - 33 seconds (Excel appears to be accessed once per link)
3. Open the Word Doc from Word with the linked workbook already open - 7 seconds (Excel appears to be accessed once per link)
4. Rename Excel XLSX workbook so that Word can't find it. Then open Doc the from Word. 1-2 seconds (Excel does not appear to be invoked)

Summary
Using DOCX/XLSX, if Word can't find the linked spreadsheet it gives up and performs nicely during file-open. Otherwise, Word performs needless, time-consuming access to Excel, and in the worst case, opens and closes Excel repeatedly in the background.
Testing with DOC/XLS formats gives good performance across all scenarios.It is a known bug and one for which AFAIK, there has been no fix. The only way that I could get around it in a particular application was to do something like save the linked information as document variables and then on opening the document recreate
all the information. My memory on exactly what I did is a bit hazy, but I can go back and check if you are interested.

When I single click on a weblink (usually in an email, Firefox starts up and opens two windows; one with the selected web page and one with my home page. If Firefox is running, it opens a new tab which is what normally occurs. It is only when it is not open that I now get the 2 windows. I have an imac running OSX 10.6.3

The rolling over from radius servers only occurs on the same wlan and only when the controller deems the radius server being dead. However, if you get rejected from one WLAN but then you reassociate to another WLAN there is no mechanism in place in rejecting the attempt because they previously failed on a seperate wlan. This happens all the time with users connecting on incorrect wlans.
The failover feature is for when you have multiple servers (usually for redundancy) on the same WLAN. So when user is rejected but radius server 1 the process stops there and the request isnt sent to radius server 2.

Adobe Reader open a PDF embed with a Link to Open another PDF
HI,
I have a online web program. The browser use Adobe reader to open a PDF. In ths PDF, it has a link to point a file that store in Server. When click this link to open the file, the link file can open, but the original PDF screen will turn to grey. I need to press F5 to reload the original PDF.
The verion of Reader 9, it does not have this problem. Reader X or XI have this problem.
I already try to set the parameters on "Preference" of the reader , but it is useless.
What is the problem.

I can't open a HTML file with flash linked
I have Flash CS3. I have created a flash file. If I click on the SWF file I have no problems opening it. It plays. It looks nice. I'm the man.
However, now when I try to publish it, the HTML file will not work. It says "windows cannot find this file, please ensure you have typed the location correctly".
I am double clicking directly on the file and not typing anything, in fact I was considering checking on Ebay to see if I could upgrade my PC to have eyes.
The feature has worked previously, which leads me to the conclusion that something else has changed. I have tried using the publish setting, I have also tried using Dreamweaver to embed the file, and have also tried manually inserting the necessary code after seeing some on a website.
All of these things produce the same result, windows cannot (or will not) find the necessary file.
It's an odd one, and very frustrating, can anyone help me at all?

EoinNope this doesn't work. I wasn't using the default names previously but I can't see that it should make a difference, although Flash can be quirky.
I tried putting them in a new location to no avail.

Something happened in the last day with FF. IE downloads files correctly. FF Delicious bookmarks open up a page with blue links that look like an outline but they are not my links. My downloads do the same. No virus.
That can be caused by having some bookmarks with a long title in the main Bookmarks menu.
The width of a column in the Bookmarks menu list is in current Firefox versions automatically adjusted to fit the bookmark with the longest name.
You can check the names of the bookmarks and make the longer ones shorter. -

Adobe Reader Splash--I have a PDF file that whenever I try to open it suggests using Adobe Reader with a link to download Adobe Reader. I can't get beyond this. I have made Preview the default for all PDF's and yet this persists. I have also deleted Adobe Reader. This particular file is a portfolio, btw.

When I receive an email with a link in it, if I click on the link to open the page, nothing happens. It does not open the internet to that page.I don't appear to have a toolbar either.

How can I have a Pages document that is shared with me under my Pages section and not open it with the link?
Try this.
Open the document and select and copy a few pages, say ten pages.
Open a new blank document and paste the pages you copied into that.
Save it with a new name.
Work on those new pages to see if the problem has disappeared.
If this helps, continue breaking up the large file in to smaller chunks and working on them
You can of course later reverse the process and merge the files into one new one.
This suggestion is based on my experiences with large Word files. Breaking it up in to smaller chunks does two things. First, if there is any corruption in the old file, the new copies might escape that. Second, the Mac is faster handling the smaller chunks. -
Open google maps, youtube, video etc links with app instead of browser?
According to the search maps and youtube won't ask if you want to use an app to open the links because google doesn't see firefox as a mobile browser (which is weird given that it will always load the mobile youtube site...)
But the same thing happens when I want to watch streams from other websites. Instead of asking me if I want to open media files using an app it will automatically use the built in player. But I want to open media with a different player (mx player) as I don't really like the firefox player.
How can I have firefox ask me to pick an app/browser to open certain things like google map links, youtube links, media file link (mp4 etc)?My biggest bugbear with the Play Store opening in the browser is that it's slower than the native app, so waiting for the page to load before given the option to launch the app isn't a lot of help. Would it be possible to have an option to automatically load such pages in the associated app? Perhaps when using the address bar icon it could ask "Do you want to do this automatically in future? Yes/No/No and don't ask again".

Can I save on a Mac then open on a PC with links still attached.
Is there any way to save a document with photo links using a Mac and be able to open it on a pc with the photo links in tack ? We are both using CS6 InDesign and hope there is a way to edit each other's work.

I am the Mac user, I saved the document preflight embedded and also embedded all the links. We both purchase CS6 two years ago for this history book project. I have always been able to open her document but some links were missing. Today I sent her a file and she said it wouldn't open and ask her for a CC account number. Win 7 Pro 64-bit / DW CS5 crashes when opening files with external links
open any html, php, etc with a link to an external file - could be any type
dw cs5 crashes
this is on a fresh, clean install of win 7 and cs5 suite. hard drive was wiped clean before installing

This is extremely annoying... why I should pay for software that doesn't work?"Enable Related Files" isn't the fix for this issue. It's slightly different - I wanted to still load related files, but only the ones local to the file I was editing.
The fix was to use DW's Resolve To IP Address feature. It required adding a registry value - it fixed the issue straight away

How to open a file with a link ?
I am using servlets to design an application.
The application supports uploading and downloading of .DOC and .RTF files.
My problem is that I am opening an uploaded file via a link.
OPen File
The above is also working fine and opens the file in the IE browser.
But my problem is that I want to open the file with MS-Word...as is done on many resume-building websites.
1) How am I supposed to do that ?
2) Can I specify ContentType="application/msword" in a link ?
