Opinions?  Do you let 2003s camp out in spacious 2007s?

Hi Everyone,
Just out of curiosity, am I the only one late to the game in discovering that the definition of sdo_gtype 2007 allows single polygons, what I would call a "2003" to validly live inside a geometry defined as sdo_gtype 2007? When you see a gtype of 2007 in a geometry do you absolutely expect a multipolyon, or does your shop follow the documentation:
"Geometry can have multiple, disjoint polygons (more than one exterior boundary). (MULTIPOLYGON is a superset of POLYGON.) "

That word "can" in the documentation is a sticky one. Looks like this guy has been wondering about this since (the year) 2003 , but I don't see any other discussion:

It's not a big deal to switch all sdo_gtype code to sdo_util.getnumelem when this sort of thing matters. Like I said, just curious if anyone enforces internal standards that are a little more strict than the documentation.

A pig is a pig, a herd is a herd. If your data model says the business object is a single polygon then make it so. If it can be both, then use both forms as the entity being modelled is written to the database.
A single polygon (with holes) is 2003, a multi-part polygon (with holes) is 2007.
If you put singles into 2007 then the front end client will probably have to do a bit more work in unpacking the polygon(s) that is doesn't have to do for 2003.
I have seen, in PostGIS, a column defined as multipolygon into which has been written 100% multipolygons all composing a single part! But that's because PostGIS doesn't implement the SQL/MM, OGC standard incorrectly because of the way it writes metadata to the GEOMETRY_COLUMNS table.
The standard says that, for the GEOMETRY_TYPE column, the “use of a non-leaf Geometry class name from the Geometry Object Model for a geometry column
implies that domain of the column corresponds to instances of the class and all of its subclasses” [OGC 06-104r3, 7.1.3.3 Field description, Page 29]

    Please follow the below steps to remove the error message of "You have been signed out".
              1: Open Activity monitor from spotlight and end all Adobe related processes. You may find processes like AAMupdater, AAMupdater notifier, Adobe Crash demon process.
              2: Open a Finder window, select Go>Go to folder option, type in ~/Library and hit enter.
                             (Windows:  [System drive]:\Users\[user name]\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE)
              3: Now navigate to Application Support/Adobe/OOBE/.. folder.
              4: Delete opm file under OOBE.
              5: Rename OOBE to OOBEold.
              6: Check if you have AAMupdater in the same location.
              7: Please rename it to AAMupdaterold.
              8: Click on gear icon on Creative Cloud desktop app and choose Quit Creative Cloud.
              9: Then launch it, sign-in and click on Apps tab.
    The error message will be removed.

    Hi,
    Following the resolution guide for this issue on the adobe site, I have deleted the opm.db file from the oobe folder.  But the issue still remains.
    Steps carried out
    Quit the app
    Deleted opm.db file
    launched the app
    signed in
    same error
    I have also done a restart after deleting the file.
    I also reinstalled the application.
    Is this issue due to the maintenance?  My Colleague has the same issue.

    Issue:
    When you launch the Creative Cloud desktop app, a "You've been signed out" message appears.
    Troubleshoot points of note.
    Mac Mavericks OS
    This is happening on two Macs – regardless of user credentials used
    This works using the user’s credentials from a PC using the windows Creative Cloud Desktop App
    Creative Cloud Desktop successful downloaded one app on the 16/06/2014 to the Mac
    Adobe’s Resolution

    Also tried renaming another folder – AAMupdater in the Adobe folder, as suggested on an Adobe Forum
    Deleted OOBE folder in a second location (location that differs from that in the guide above)
    Also used the Creative Cloud Cleaner to tidy up installation files
    This issue is still on going and I have submitted a log to Adobe Tech for analysis on User: Daniel above.
    If anyone has a solution please let me know.

    Let me explain:
    In the clock app for ios 6.0.2 I am a little confused. It allows you to go into your music library, and create a ringtone using any songs you choose. However, I cannot find a way to remove a song from this list, just like I cannot delete one of the preset ringtones (which I'm not trying to do, but just as an example)

    I believe you just are able to delete them from iTunes.

    I try to do your step "Error: You are no longer signed in to Creative Cloud applications" but I can't sign in

    1)Open Control Panel and then click on the option "Network and Internet" .
    2)Click on Internet options, click on 'Connections' tab.
    3)In the 'Connections' tab, select 'LAN' settings, you will be able to view the Local area network settings box.
    4)Check the box-"Automatically Detect Settings" and then "uncheck" all the other check boxes like 'Use automatic configuration script', 'Use a proxy server' , Bypass proxy server' ,then click on ok button .
    5)Click on "LAN settings" button again , make sure "Automatically Detect Settings" is the only option selected, keep the LAN properties window open.
    Then try signing in to Creative Cloud.
    No other check box as to be ticked except " Automatically detect settings"  , it is very important.
    Sometime , it revert back the settings even thought we tick only " Automatically detect settings"  .
    Let me know if it reverting back the settings by itself after you close LAN settings window.

    I keep getting the You've been signed out message in Creative Cloud App. I followed directions and quit the app, reinstalled the app and still get the same message. I have the app on my desktop computer and don't have any problems, I want to install the software on my laptop.

    hey guys ive set up a shopping site and have added an extra tick box at the bottom of the check out page to let people opt out the emailing listings if they choose to.
    Problem is I dont think the result of the tick shows up on my orders invoice inside the admin or email invoice sent to me when an Order is placed, meaning I dont know if I have permission to send out emails to old customers in the future.

    You can add {tag_formsummary}to the workflow notification email under system emails. You will then get the complete webform summary in the notification email.
