ORA-01740: missing quotes error when synchronizing mobilink

Hi,
I'm getting a missing quotes error when synchronizing with mobilink.
followed by
[-10058] Unable to open download_delete_cursor
and the name of the table.
and name of the script
Script: {CALL "scriptversion".DOWNLOAD_DELETE_CURSOR_ABC (?, ?)}
How can I see what is causing this... I already checked the script for that table in the ml_scripts table.... nothing special there... the script looks exactly the same as in previous versions....
I'm assuming that it's the parameters that are creating the problem. but no idea on how to see them...
any suggestions?
thank you !

Hi,
thanks for your tip. I just did that and get a LOT of logging.
Not sure if my employer would appreciate me sharing DB details in public.
In private messaging I could send it through, but i guess that wouldn't help others with the same issue..
i also changed the startup parameters to -vt -o
And this is the result that I get (I modified scriptpackage name and cursorname a litle bit):
I'm guessing that  : p1  and : p2 is incorrect as parameter....and the complaints come from there..
Also, this time I ran another publication and now it's complaining on the newly added table and not on that random old table I mentioned on my previous post.
PS. error message is in dutch since the server is in dutch, but it's the missing quotes issue.

  • ORA-00936:missing expression Error

    I have what I would think was a simple SQL for Excel; but for some reason I keep getting the ORA-00936 missing expression error message.
    The SELECT AND FROM of the SQL are no problem. It's the Where portion of the SQL statement where it messes up. I have many user input required parameters. But I tested out the same SQL statement in Toad for Oracle and it worked fine.
    I'm wondering at this point if it's just too much for Excel.
    Here's the code from the "Where" portion of the SQL that worked in Toad for Oracle. I believe I have to change some of the syntax to get it to work in Excel; and I'm wondering if anyone knows the true correct way to do this. Because I'm also wondering if that's where I'm going wrong.
    Anyway, here's the code:
    WHERE (    (a_compl_summary.product_division = 'CP')
            AND (    a_compl_summary.entry_date >= :date1
                 AND a_compl_summary.entry_date <= :date2
            AND (   a_compl_summary.product_family LIKE :pf1
                 OR a_compl_summary.product_family LIKE :pf2
                 OR a_compl_summary.product_family LIKE :pf3
                 OR a_compl_summary.product_family LIKE :pf4

           )

    But are the ":parameter1" okay, or do I need to change the syntax for Excel?
    Because when I change the[b] :parameter to just a ? it ends up working to a degree. When I have too many parameters Excel ends up bailing on me with a Debug, Send Error Report box popping up.

  • ORA-00936 Missing expression - error in composite statement

    I'm using the following statement to call a function which uses a number retrieved from a table i.e.
    SELECT GETNEXTBUSINESSDATE(TO_DATE('28/08/2003','dd/mm/yyyy'), TO_NUMBER(SELECT VALUE1 FROM PARAMETERS WHERE PARCODE = 'CCR1' AND ATTRIBUTE1 = 'CCRNRQST1')) FROM DUAL;
    The function adds the value store in the value1 field to a date to get the next buisness date. The above statement is giving me an ORA-00936 Missing expression error message.
    Can anybody help ?

    We can't pass a query as a parameter.
    You'll have to write a function that accepts PARCODE and ATTRIBUTE1 as parameters, or figure some other way of getting the value.
    As I typed that, it occurred to me that this might work:
    SELECT GETNEXTBUSINESSDATE(TO_DATE('28/08/2003','dd/mm/yyyy')
          , x.val1)
    FROM ( SELECT TO_NUMBER(VALUE1) as val1
           FROM   PARAMETERS
           WHERE PARCODE = 'CCR1'
           AND ATTRIBUTE1 = 'CCRNRQST1') x;I'm not guaranteeing anything as I've never tried running a function from an in-line view.

  • "Missing Class" error when running web service

    Hi,
    I am getting an "Missing Class" error when running a web service. The web service was generated from a Java class via the "create J2EE web service" option.
    The web service has a JAX-RPC handler class added, which belongs to the same package as a logging class. The logging class is used to write to a file for debug purposes. A "missing class" error is being generated whenever I attempt to invoke the web service (via the enterprise manager test util), the error refers to the logging class which is used by the main handler class. The JAX-RPC handler works fine by itself, the error is only seen when I attempt to use the logging class.
    I have re-built, re-deployed from scratch again, but still get the same error! Am I missing something simple here?
    thanks for any advice

    Cant you paste some of your code, formatted in code tags? It looks like there is a problem passing some of the XMl response, it doesnt like a tag html.
    If you post some code somebody might actually be able to help you.

    Hi All , Getting connection to Gateway error when synchronizing in MI using MAU application .
    Please provide the solution ASAP.
    Also provide the notes which can be avilable in SERVICE.SAP
    Thanks&Regards.
    Bharat

    Hi,
    well, the error - you should get this error as well if you sync with a new and empty client? It seems your Sync service is down. Check the sync service itself. Is the URL accessible from the device itself?
    It is usually not related to the App (MAU in your case) it is related to the ladscape itself.
    Can you add the correct error message and the part of the trace that shows the message? Including the lines before with the ping if the server is available?

    Hi,
    Welcome to the forum!
    I think you want something like this:
    CASE
        WHEN  a.f_req_st_dt < TRUNC (SYSDATE) - 60  THEN  '>60'
        WHEN  a.f_req_st_dt < TRUNC (SYSDATE) - 30  THEN  '30.1-60'
        WHEN  a.f_req_st_dt < TRUNC (SYSDATE) - 15  THEN  '15.1-30'
        WHEN  a.f_req_st_dt < TRUNC (SYSDATE)       THEN  '15 or less'
    ENDNested CASE expressions aren't needed very much. Each WHEN clause is evaluated only if all the ealier ones have failed. For example, when testing to see if a row is in the 301.-60 range above (that is, the 2nd WHEN clause), there's no need to see if the difference is greater than or equal to 60; it wouldn't be evaluating that clause if the 1st WHEN condition was TRUE.
    This assumes that a.f_req_st_dt is a TIMESTAMP or DATE; either datatype can be compared with DATEs, such as SYSDATE-60, so there's no need to conevert them to strings, and then convert them back into DATEs.
    I hope this answers your question.
    If not, post a little sample data (CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements, relevant columns only) for all tables involved, and also post the results you want from that data.
    Simplify the problem as much as possible. Show only the parts that you don't already know how to do.
    Explain, using specific examples, how you get those results from that data.
    Always say which version of Oracle you're using (e.g., 11.2.0.2.0).
    See the forum FAQ {message:id=9360002}
    Never write, let alone post, unformatted code. Indent the code to show the exent and structure of clauses (SELECT, FROM, etc.), and complex expressions (such as CASE). The forum FAQ explains how to use \ tags when posting formatted text on this site.

    Hi all,
    I am working on a IDOC-> JDBC scenario.
    it works fine in development but in quality i amgetting the following message.
    Message processing failed. Cause: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: Error processing request in sax parser: Error when executing statement for table/stored proc. 'T_SAP_COST' (structure 'Statement2'): java.sql.SQLException: ORA-00936: missing expression
    there is no issue with mapping and i compared and everything is exactly the same as development.
    Has someone come accross a similar issue.
    Regards,
    Tarun Bahal

    This is not an error with respect to XI. There is some problem with the SQL query generated after the mapping. Generally ORA____ kind of errors are comman in JDBC Senario and even Oracle maintains something like our SAP Note for each ORA errors. I am not sure about the URL for searching this error. You can check in this URL too, [ORA-00936 |http://ora-00936.ora-code.com/] http://ora-00936.ora-code.com/
    Since you are saying that it works fine in developement, you can check with the data. Whether it is generating the SQL Statement properly or not. Also confirm whether you have sufficient data in the quality systems to generate the SQL Statement properly.

    Hi again,
    questions, questions....
    This is my select on the JDBC rec.connection:
    I think this is a select with an AND (two criteria).
    How does it look for an OR ?
    At the moment we have another error:
    Error when executing statement for table/stored proc. 'IRIS.T_ST_MAINDRIVER' (structure 'STATEMENT'): java.sql.SQLException: ORA-00936: missing expression
    Hello experts,
    what is this? I don´t think that a select calls a stored procedure which is the only result for threads when searching in this forum!
    regards
    Dirk

    Hi,
    Are you trying to execute a Stored Procedure?
    You can't get the result from an Oracle SP with JDBC. The problem is about the cursor return from SP, that couldn't bre understood by JDBC adapter.
    You can, make a .NET wrapper to it. Make a .NET web service that gets the parameters from XI and runs the SP with them, get the oracle cursor return, transform it into a XML message and return it to the XI SOAP adapter. I've tryied and it works fine - and as I could see is the only way to perform calls to Oracle SPs with cursor return in XI.
    hope this helps!

    I am using the 2010.05-core image. I tried installing on a different machine and it worked. I swapped the harddrive and it worked this time, but i received the following error before the arch boot screen came up.
    Buffer I/O error on device sr0, logical block 82944
    I must have missed this error the first time by not paying attention, because the process continues after repeating the error a few times.

    \(small letters only, inside curly brackets) before and after each section of formatted text, to preserve spacing.
    If the code above were formatted well, so that you could match each '(' with its closing ')', it would look something like this:... xmlagg ( xmlelement ( "ParameterValues"
                        , xmlelement ( "m_szProtocolName"
                                       , tmp.protocol_name

    This is exactly what you posted, only the whitespace has been changed.
    This makes it clear that the GROUP BY is inside the parentheses with the argument to XMLAGG.  You can have an ORDER BY clause there, but not a GROUP BY clause.

  • Syntax Error When Synchronizing *.msg files

    I am running SyncToy 2.1, version 2.1.0.0.
    When synchronizing folders that contain Outlook messages saves as *.msg files, I recieve the message "Error: Cannot write to the destination file. The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007007B)..."
    If I modify the synchronization settings to exclude *.msg files, the synchronization runs without errors.
    I have browsed this SyncToy support forum and haven't found any posts that relate to this error.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks.

    I know it's a long shot but I had this error message when trying to write files from a local drive to a mapped SharePoint location. The problem came down to the name I'd used when I mapped the SharePoint library. I'd mapped it as something like this:
    Z: --> \\intranet\myteams\erp\Shared%20Documents
    and kept hitting this issue. However, when I mapped it like this:
    Z: --> \\intranet\myteams\erp\Shared Documents
    it worked.

  • Missing Field error when modifying user Master Record

    We are using our corporate LDAP to authenticate our portal users and do not have (nor do we want) write permission to the LDAP. We are using additional attributes (ume.admin.addattrs) to hold information pertinent to the portal. We are running into a problem though when required information is missing from the LDAP user master record. For example, if the users email address is missing, when we attempt to save a user's record with the additional attributes we need, the system responds with a "Missing Field" error message and will not save the additional attribute until the LDAP record is complete. Currently the only work around to this problem is to notify the LDAP administrators and have them update the record (not a high priority for them).
    Is there a way to have the portal ignore incomplete records and just save what it has?
    Thanks

  • ORA-01031 insufficient privileges  error when selecting from a view

    OK I think this might be a dumb question but I can't figure it out:
    User John has been granted SELECT privilege (directly, not through a database role) to schema FRED.table1;
    User John can issue select * from FRED.table1; and it works just fine.
    User John has then been granted SELECT privilege (directly, not via a database role) to schema
    MARK.view1;
    MARK.view1 only selects from FRED.table1. No other tables are in the view1.
    Schema MARK can successfully query the views. SELECT * FROM VIEW1 returns results.
    I also checked the MARK schema to ensure that it has been granted SELECT on FRED.table1 directly which it has.
    Now, when logged into schema John, I try SELECT * FROM MARK.VIEW1; and I get ORA-01031 insufficient privileges error.
    I'm not sure how to troubleshoot this. If John is granted SELECT ANY TABLE, it of course works but I don't want John to have that powerful priv.
    To recap, John has SELECT on both MARK.VIEW1 and the table which VIEW1 selects from (FRED.TABLE1).
    John can select from FRED.TABLE1 no problem but receives a privilege error even though John has SELECT on MARK.VIEW1.
    Any thoughts?
    Oh, Oracle EE 10.2.0.4

    Oh, Oracle EE 10.2.0.4Are you certain John has been granted select on Mark.view1 ? In order for that to work Mark would have to have been given select on Fred.table1 WITH GRANT OPTION ... otherwise the grant would fail and then John would not be able to select from the view because the grant was never successfully issued.
    Here's a basic test case (which i think conforms to what you've outlined) to get it working.
    drop user u1 cascade;
    drop user u2 cascade;
    drop user u3 cascade;
    create user u1 identified by u1;
    grant connect, resource to u1;
    create user u2 identified by u2;
    grant connect, resource, create view to u2;
    create user u3 identified by u3;
    grant connect, resource to u3;
    connect u1/u1@orcl
    create table test1 (col1 number);
    grant select on test1 to u2 with grant option; --> this is the important part
    grant select on test1 to u3;
    connect u2/u2@orcl
    create view test2 as select * from u1.test1;
    grant select on test2 to u3;
    connect u3/u3@orcl
    select * from u2.test2;
