  • Internal Error ORA-0600 when creating multiple consumer queue table

    Hi,
    I tried to create a multiple consumer queue table with the following statements:
    exec DBMS_AQADM.GRANT_TYPE_ACCESS ('system');
    create type Change_History_Trigger_Data as object(Col1 VARCHAR2(255), Col2 VARCHAR2(128), Col3 VARCHAR2(255), Col4 TIMESTAMP, Col5 VARCHAR2(64), Col6 VARCHAR2(64), Col7 NUMBER(8));
    Works fine till this stage. But the following statement produces an ORA-0600 internal error message.
    EXEC DBMS_AQADM.CREATE_QUEUE_TABLE ('change_history_queue_tbl','Change_History_Trigger_Data', 'tablespace my_tblspace','ENQ_TIME',TRUE,DBMS_AQADM.TRANSACTIONAL);

    I tried creating the same queue table with Multiple consumer = FALSE, and it works fine. But not with multiple consumer = TRUE
    I'm running on Oracle9i Enterprise Edition Release 9.2.0.6.0
    Any possible solutions?

    Problem solved.
    The queue name was too long. Found a post with the same problem.
    Re: Create Queue Table ORA-00600 while dbms_aqadm.create_queue_table
    thanks anyway

  • Selecting from Views and ORA-0600

    Hi All,
    I am using Oracle 9i and was looking for some guidance on the issue I am seeing.
    I have this huge query in which some dataelements are obtained using sys_connect_by_path while the others are got directly. I have set this huge query set up as a view (GetDataView).
    I am now trying to query from the view. (I am using a stored procedure to get dataelements from the view and output as a xml).
    When I do a 'select * from GetDataView' , the results come back fine. Also, when I query the dataelements which are obtained directly (without sys_connect_by_path), they come back fine as well. However, when I try and get the dataelements which are obtained using
    sys_connect_by_path, I get the error :
    "An error was encountered while performing the requested operation:
    ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments:qkacon:qkaconGetPathOps:1],[,],[,],[,],[
    00600.0000 - "internal error code, arguments: %s,%s,%s,%s,%s,%s,%s,%s".
    I know that this is a known issue with Oracle 9i when using sys_connect_by_path but this huge query executes perfectly when I run it independently.
    It is only when I try to query the view for individual dataelements(which use sys_connect_by_path) that I get this error.
    Can you pls point out what the problem could be here? Also, can you pls suggest any workarounds that I could try.
    Thanks in advance,
    AD

    Two thoughts.
    1. ORA-00600 = open an SR at metalink
    2. Oracle 9i is in desupport so Oracle is going to suggest that you move this to a currently supported version: Especially if 9i means anything other than 9.2.0.8.
    Your query will likely be put to good use by Oracle showing how E-Business Suite is superior to SAP. <g>

  • ORA-0600 from hil_message.get_oracle_messages

    I'm not entirely sure whether this is a Headstart problem or not, but it manifests itself on a call to Headstart code.
    I have forms generated using Headstart, Des2000 V6.0.3.6.0, Oracle 8.0.4, on NT. They run fine in normal mode, but as soon as I try to run them in debug mode, it drops out with FRM-40735: PRE-FORM trigger raised unhandled exception ORA-00600. When I follow the code through in debug, the path is -
    qms$event_form (pre-form, before); qms$errors.show_debug_info; qms$forms_errors.get_debug_flag; qms$forms_errors.init_suppress_message; qms$forms_errors.init_oracle_message. The line at which it actually falls over is the call from init_oracle_message to hil_message.get_oracle_messages (which calls qms_message.get_oracle_messages).
    I've checked hil_message & qms_message packages on the db, both are there & valid. I'm running the forms against the user which owns the packages.
    Any ideas what might be causing this?
    null

    Cheryl,
    I believe you have run into a known Headstart limitation.
    See the Template Package Users Guide, User Interface Generation, Menus, Form attachment Method.
    Headstart provides a procedure qms$application.set_start_menu which allows you to call the same form from multiple menus. However, this procedure uses the replace_menu built-in which does not work with the forms debugger.
    A call to this procedure is included in your application library, in the init_application procedure.
    You have two options:
    - comment out that line of code while you are running under debug
    - use the Headstart debugger

    Lauri

  • ORA-0600 kcfrbd_3 on SYSAUX

    ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [kcfrbd_3], [3], [29449], [1], [29440], [320720], [], []
    I have trigger the next statement:
    SELECT segment_name , tablespace_name

    AND 29449 BETWEEN block_id and block_id + blocks -1;
    and the result is:

    SYSAUX
    Is there a way to recover this tablespace? What should I do?
    My Oracle version is 10.2.0.4.
    Thanks,

    Hello,
    thanks for your answers.
    I have followed metalink 601798.1 to launch the statement. What I'm not sure is when it says
    "resize the datafile down and resize back to its original size".
    Which is the minimun size?
    I believe I need to use something like this:
    ALTER DATABASE DATAFILE 'path_to_datafile' RESIZE 100M;
    but I dont know the size I should set.
    Thanks,

    That is aborting capture queue whenever we restart. I tried by re-installing Oracle but after sometime again this issue arises.
    I am new to replication thing, so don't have too much idea about this error. Following is trace file log of the error :

  • ORA-0600 during DDL statements

    Hi,
    Did anyone encounter this and what did you do to fix it.
    SQL> create table temp_a ( a number(1));
    create table temp_a ( a number(1))
    ERROR at line 1:
    ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [17119], [0x000000000], [], [], [],
    same error during create function/ alter trigger compile/ alter package compile.
    Looks like it must be a DDL thing
    Any recommendations.
    Regards

    Hi,
    Have you checked the alert log file and correspondent trace files for more information?
    Cheers

  • Error: ORA-03113 while executing complex java code from Oracle PL/SQL

    Hi,
    I am trying to execute a complex java code from Oracle PL/SQL. The classes were resolved successfully. But in the middle of execution, I am getting the following error:
    ERROR:
    ORA-03114: not connected to ORACLE
    begin
    ERROR at line 1:
    ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel
    Process ID: 13685
    Session ID: 21 Serial number: 20
    Is there a way to debug the Java classes loaded into oracle? Or is there any utility to find out why the connection was lost?
    Regards,
    Saravana

    Hi Saravana:
    You could use simply System.out.println(..) at your Java code and see the output at the .trc files generated for your Oracle session.
    Or better than this adding Java Util Logging messages at your code, to see how to use JUL API at the OJVM please see this blog post [Using JUL API inside the OJVM|http://marceloochoa.blogspot.com/2007/11/getting-logging-entering-exiting-and.html].
    Best regards, Marcelo.
    PD: ora-0600 generally are associated with RDBMS bugs, but these bugs can be bypassed by replacing the code which throws the exception by other with a workaround.

  • "ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel error" in client side

    Problem Description: we have a production server that oracle 11gr2 installed and oracle clients (application servers) with 11gr2 clients. Sometimes we encounter internal server error 500 at the application server side; and when we check out the application server logs we see ORA-03113 error code.
    when we look at the corresponding error on the Oracle Database Server side we saw the following output in the alert_orcl.log :
    Fatal NI connect error 12170.
    VERSION INFORMATION:

    what could be the problem or how can i trace it in order to determine the exact problem? is there any parameter that i need to adjust in client side to ensure that every connection reaches the production server ?

    There is often an ORA-0600 or ORA-7445 behind these.
    These should produce an entry in the alert log and an associated trace file which a) can be used in the ORA-600/7445 lookup tool on Metalink and also uploaded to Oracle Support.

    A bit quick to answer - I didn't see the large section of TNS information from the alert log.

  • How to update more than 5 million records without error message ORA-00257:

    Hi ,
    I need to update some columns in my table which is contains about 5 million records
    I 've already tried this
    Update AAA_CDR
    Set RoamFload = Null ;
    but the problem is I've got the error message ("ORA-00257: archiver error. Connect internal only,until freed.) and the update consuming about 6 hours with no results ,
    then I do the commands ( Alter system set db_recovery_file_dest_size=50G) and the problem solved .
    but I need to update about 15 columns of this table to be null ,what I should do to overcome this message and update the table in reasonable time
    Please Help Me ,

    The best way would be to allocate sufficient disk space for your archive log destination. Your database is not sized properly. NOLOGGING option will not do much for you because it' only applies to direct load operations when the data inserted into nologging table is selected from another table. UPDATE will be be logged, regardless of the NOLOGGING status. Here is the quote from the manual:
    <quote>
    LOGGING|NOLOGGING
    LOGGING|NOLOGGING specifies that subsequent Direct Loader (SQL*Loader) and direct-load
    INSERT operations against a nonpartitioned index, a range or hash index partition, or
    all partitions or subpartitions of a composite-partitioned index will be logged (LOGGING)
    or not logged (NOLOGGING) in the redo log file.
    In NOLOGGING mode, data is modified with minimal logging (to mark new extents invalid
    and to record dictionary changes). When applied during media recovery, the extent
    invalidation records mark a range of blocks as logically corrupt, because the redo data
    is not logged. Therefore, if you cannot afford to lose this index, you must take a backup
    after the operation in NOLOGGING mode.
    If the database is run in ARCHIVELOG mode, media recovery from a backup taken before an
    operation in LOGGING mode will re-create the index. However, media recovery from a backup
    taken before an operation in NOLOGGING mode will not re-create the index.
    An index segment can have logging attributes different from those of the base table and
    different from those of other index segments for the same base table.
    </quote>
    If you are really desperate, you can try the following undocumented/unsupported command:
    ALTER DATABASE ARCHIVELOG COMPRESS ENABLE;
    That will cause database to compress your archive logs and consume less space. This command is not documented or supported, not even in the version 11.2.0.3 and causes the database to start spewing ORA-0600 in version 10G. DO NOT USE IN A PRODUCTION ENVIRONMENT!!!!

  • ORA-03113 when using references in xmltype

    I get an 'ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel' if I try to use references in an xml schema on multiple levels. You can find an example below.
    Setup:
    exec dbms_session.reset_package;
    declare
    l_schema varchar2(32767) :='<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <xs:schema attributeFormDefault="qualified"
    elementFormDefault="qualified"
    version="1.0"
    xmlns:xdb="http://xmlns.oracle.com/xdb"
    xdb:storeVarrayAsTable="false"
    xmlns:xs="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
    <xs:complexType name="T_NODE" xdb:SQLType="T_NODE">
    <xs:sequence>
    <xs:element name="NODE" type="T_NODE"/>
    <xs:element name="LEVEL" type="xs:string"/>
    </xs:sequence>
    </xs:complexType>
    <xs:element name="NODE" type="T_NODE" xdb:defaultTable="T_NODE_REF"/>
    </xs:schema>';
    l_xml xmltype;
    l_url varchar2(1000) := 'NodeTest.xsd';
    begin
    begin
    execute immediate 'drop table T_NODE_REF';
    exception
    when others then null;
    end;
    begin
    execute immediate 'drop table T_NODE_XML';
    exception
    when others then null;
    end;
    begin
    dbms_xmlschema.deleteschema(
    schemaurl => l_url
    ,delete_option => dbms_xmlschema.delete_cascade_force
    exception
    when others then null;
    end;
    l_xml := xmltype.createxml(l_schema);
    dbms_xmlschema.registerschema (schemaurl => l_url
    ,schemadoc => l_xml
    ,gentables => true
    execute immediate 'CREATE TABLE T_NODE_XML OF XMLTYPE XMLTYPE STORE AS OBJECT RELATIONAL XMLSCHEMA "' || l_url || '" ELEMENT "NODE"';
    end;
    The script:
    declare
    l_reference ref xmltype;
    function rec(
    i_level pls_integer
    ) return ref xmltype
    is
    l_url varchar2(1000) := 'NodeTest.xsd';
    l_ref ref xmltype := null;
    l_new_ref ref xmltype := null;
    l_node t_node;
    l_level pls_integer;
    l_node_xml xmltype;
    begin
    if i_level > 0 then
    l_level := i_level - 1;
    l_ref := rec(l_level);
    else
    l_ref := null;
    end if;
    l_node := new t_node(null, l_ref, i_level);
    l_node_xml := xmltype.createxml(xmlData => l_node, schema => l_url, element => 'NODE', validated => 1);
    dbms_output.put_line(dbms_lob.substr(l_node_xml.getClobVal, amount => 200, offset => 1));
    insert into T_NODE_XML t values(l_node_xml) returning ref(t) into l_new_ref;
    commit;
    return l_new_ref;
    end;
    begin
    l_reference := rec(1);
    end;
    Any idea how to overcome this issue?
    Thanks in advance

    Your previous reply never said anything about commenting out dbms_output so how was I supposed to see the variations you were trying?<br><br>
    You need to continue this discussion with Oracle as to why you getting the specific ORA-0600 that you are. This assumes you have a valid support contract. You are getting an internal Oracle error. I'm not Oracle nor do I know the inner workings of their system. If not, Google and maybe the XML DB forum might be able to help you with this issue. They will want to know your version (4 digits) and may question your hammer use of .delete_cascade_force when deleting the schema. This should only be a last resort to use that level I know. It's probably not related to your issue but may come up.
