ORA-29516 encountered when using LoadJava

I get ORA-29516 when trying to use the LoadJava command on Linux and Oracle 8.1.6.
I also have trouble running the initjvm.sql, it seems to always run with errors. Do I need to alter some values in my .ora file? or is there something else that I may try?
I am trying to run initjvm.sql as sys.
null

Actually I have found that I get a ora-3113 error when I try to run the initjvm.sql script. I am trying to run it as SYS, however it hangs after a 20 or so statements and then after a long time, I get the ora-3113 error (i am guessing that oracle is terminating its session).

  • ORA-03113 Error when using loadjava

    I am trying to create a Java Stored Procedure and when I attempt to load the resource file into Oracle using the loadjava utility, I receive the following message:
    ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel
    I receive this message consistently.
    Any ideas?
    null

    There would be a trace file generated on the server where the database is installed, try to look in those trace files for additional messages and causes this might be happening, off hand I could also suggest increasing the processes init file parameter

    There isn't much information available about this error. So I would suggest you get in touch with Oracle support.

    Regards,
    Raji.

    Hi,
    Even though the problem manifests when using loadjava, it has noting to do with the embedded Java VM in the database; it's rather an install /upgrade problem.

    Changes
    This may be a new database.
    Cause
    Error: ORA-24010
    Cause: The specified queue does not exist.
    Action: Specify a valid queue. Query USER_QUEUES for all the valid queues.
    QUEUE tables were not properly created. On a 10.2.0.3 database, the following standard queues exist:
    SQL> SELECT NAME FROM USER_QUEUES;
    NAME
    AQ$_KUPC$DATAPUMP_QUETAB_E
    AQ$_SYS$SERVICE_METRICS_TAB_E
    SYS$SERVICE_METRICS

    AQ$_AQ_EVENT_TABLE_E
    AQ_EVENT_TABLE_Q
    15 rows selected.
    Since this is a new installation with a new database, the proper QUEUE tables should have been created at database creation during execution of catalog and catproc.
    Solution
    To resolve the problem:
    1. SQL> spool output.txt
    2. SQL> @?/rdbms/admin/catalog.sql
    3. SQL> @?/rdbms/admin/catproc.sql
    4. SQL> utlrp.sql
    5. SQL> select comp_name, status from dba_registry;
    (to verify VALID components)
    6. SQL> select owner, object_name, object_type from dba_objects where status = 'INVALID';
    (to verify VALID objects)
    Let us know the status after this fix.

    Hello Mr. Raja,
    Can you tell me how do you recreate alert_que? Am facing exactly the same problem. Whats worse is that am getting out of memory exception within a couple of minutes as shown in my alert log below. Am not getting out of memory even if i run several programs in parallel, which consumes all of server CPU and considerable amount of RAM. But getting it once this exception occurs. Is there any relation between these two errors.?

  • ORA 00600 Error when using Mapviewer addJDBCTheme

    Hello
    I am receiveing the 600 error via my OC4J window when using mapviewers addJDBCTheme with the passTthrough boolean set to false (the query is rewitten by mapviewer to limit it to the results to the map view). If I perfrom the same query with passThrough set to true, no problems. I have a feeling this may relate to the index on my table. OC4J output for error below.
    Any ideas appriciated.

    Chris,
    Can you run this rewritten query
    SELECT * FROM ( select spat_data, mbl_bka_id, mbl_title from WPE_SPATIAL_BLOCKS_VIEW_10G c ) WHERE MDSYS.SDO_FILTER(spat_data, MDSYS.SDO_GEOMETRY(2003, 81989, NULL, MDSYS.SDO_ELEM_INFO_ARRAY(1, 1003, 3), MDSYS.SDO_ORDINATE_ARRAY(278472.6,186744.0,279272.6,187544.0)), 'querytype=WINDOW') = 'TRUE'
    in sql*plus without any errors?
    The asumptions is there is a spatial index on spat_data and all the geometries are valid.
    Also there will be a trace file on the db server. That'll give more details on what the likely cause is.

  • Problem encountered when using RKD_WORD_WRAP

    Hi all,
    I have encountered a problem when using RKD_WORD_WRAP. The problem is that the paragraph is not being formatted nicely when i try to printout in Smartforms.
    Eg is that I want to format this paragraph;
    "Text Conversion: Convert Text Formats
    The function module CONVERT_TEXT provides the
    following format conversion options:"
    However, when I output it out, the text was being displayed like this;
    "Text Conversion: Convert Text Formats
    The function module CONVERT_TEXT provides
    the
    following format conversion options:"
    The problem is that even though after the "the" word, although that line still has some spaces, thecorresponsing words just wont get concatenate to the 2nd line (as seen above).
    Is there any way to fix this?? Or is there a standard value to be use for the outputlens parameter so that the above situation will not occurs??

    Check the below program and output :
    report ztest_ytt.
    data input type string.
    data SWASTRTAB like SWASTRTAB occurs 0 with header line.
    start-of-selection.
    input = 'The function module SWA_STRING_SPLIT that you have said is not
    working successfully. It is still giving me the same problem where it is
    appending a new line where there is still enough space for the word on
    the current line'.
    CALL FUNCTION 'SWA_STRING_SPLIT'
      EXPORTING
        INPUT_STRING                       = input
       MAX_COMPONENT_LENGTH               = 100
      TERMINATING_SEPARATORS             =
      OPENING_SEPARATORS                 =
      TABLES
        STRING_COMPONENTS                  = SWASTRTAB
    EXCEPTIONS
       MAX_COMPONENT_LENGTH_INVALID       = 1
       OTHERS                             = 2
    IF SY-SUBRC <> 0.
    MESSAGE ID SY-MSGID TYPE SY-MSGTY NUMBER SY-MSGNO
            WITH SY-MSGV1 SY-MSGV2 SY-MSGV3 SY-MSGV4.
    ENDIF.
    loop at SWASTRTAB.
    write:/ SWASTRTAB-STR.
    endloop.
    This is output :
    The function module SWA_STRING_SPLIT that you have said is not working successfully. It is still
    giving me the same problem where it is appending a new line where there is still enough space for
    the word on the current line
    Suppose you want to print 100 charcters in each line .. upto 95 charcters you have words perfectly the next will start at 97th ,so here word is <b>' Function'</b>
    so this word will not fit into that line since you have 4 charcters,Function word is containg 8 charcters,this word will come in next line.
    Check the program and give what ever input and see the results.
    Thanks
    Seshu

  • Resolve error when using loadjava

    Hi, I'm trying to use loadjava to load my Java class into Oracle. I got the following error:
    resolving: com/company/package/class1
    Errors in com/company/package/class1:
    ORA-29534: referenced object SCOTT.com/company/package/class2 could not be resolved
    Actually both these classes are in the JAVA$CLASS$MD5$TABLE and are in the same jar file, which I pass to loadjava. My OS is Solaris 2.8 and the Oracle is 8.1.6. Any idea what's wrong? Thanks,
    null

    you posted :
    loadjava -user SCOTT/TIGER@mydatabase -r -v -f -t myclass.jar
    that is the jdbc oci syntax since you're trying to use a tnsnames.ora entry "mydatabase" after the "@".
    it also required the oracle client installation to run jdbc oci formats.
    change to one of the following :
    loadjava -user SCOTT/TIGER@mydatabase -r -v -f myclass.jar
    or
    loadjava -user SCOTT/TIGER@<host>:<port>:<sid> -r -v -f -t myclass.jar

    Hi:
    Is not a bug on the internal OJVM, I mean this will not affect your code running inside the database.
    The problem is with the Sun JVM shipped with your 10g database, note the message:
    Java VM: Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (1.4.2_08-b03 interpreted mode)
    If you can load your Java code without using -v (verbose) flag it will run OK.
    If not try loading your Java class compiled outside in .class format. Remember to compile the class with a JDK 1.4.
    Also you could find a workaround for the Sun JVM at Sun's blogs.
    There is an alternate method for loading classes using Ant task or Maven, see this projects as examples:
    [http://dbprism.cvs.sourceforge.net/viewvc/dbprism/ojvm/]
    [http://dbprism.cvs.sourceforge.net/viewvc/dbprism/DataService/]
    Note the loadjava.xml file which defines an Ant task using the aurora.zip file shipped with your Oracle database and which have the logic for uploading classes.
    Best regards, Marcelo.
