/I did narrow it down to the Annotator.jar I believe, but I am not sure. I have uninstalled the ord schema and the JVM and then resinstalled...anyone have a clue?

    1. Why I can't change the status of database to OPEN as grid user?
    2. The status is always STARTED when querying v$instance. İs it status of +ASM or database?
    3. When checking database as grid user it seems to be Database runnning...  If running why it is not in OPEN state? What is running means here?
    4. When I log on as oracle user and query v$instance, then error shown above occured. And also when startup  the database then another error occured as in above. WHY?
    5. When I edit /etc/oratab file manually why second row saved but the first one is changed after restart the system?
    6. Normally, which user have to start, stop or manage database? I think that oracle user is necessary for managing database and the grid user is only for managing ASM and Oracle Restart.
    PLEASE HELP ME TO SOLVE THIS CHAOTİC SİTUATİON!!!

    Pl identify exact version of 11gR2 to 4 decimal places. As noted in your other thread - Failed to start oracle-ohasd, error: Inappropriate ioctl for device ohasd failed to start at roothas.pl - you will need a minimum version of 11.2.0.3 for Linux 6.x - using a lower version may result in unexpected issues or problems.

    Any idea?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi!
    I'm also a BC4J newbie, and encountered a similar problem while working with JDeveloper 9.0.3.4., but not until the app was deployed to an OAS.
    The first time the app was executed was from within the IDE (embedded OC4J) and there was no issue with creating the tables in the state_management schema. However, when the target and state_management schemas were dropped and re-created (to simulate installation on production)and the app was finally deployed to the OAS (10g), the app would fail trying to get nextval from the sequence (in state_management). However, when running again from the embedded OC4J, the sequence and table were created OK. Afterwards, once the sequence and table were created, the OAS instance could process requests fine. One difference in running the two instances is in the login user - the two users that are mapped to the app's security role are different: in the embedded case it's admin/welcome, in the other a plain "jdoe/jdoe" user. I wouldn't think this would matter, as BC4J uses the credentials of the internal connection to access the state_management schema, but if that's not it, then... ?
    What credentials would the first app user have to have? The idea of a separate schema for the BC4J tables is that the users don't have to have a create any table/index/sequence privilege... Would you have any thoughts on how to fix the problem?

  • "Error loading media. File Could not be played"  when trying to view streaming media on only some sites.  How to fix?

    Hi!
    I've been having a problem trying to view streaming media, but it only happens on some sites.  It's similar to a problem I have on my Windows PC, that's related to Adobe Flash, but since I'm very new to using my iPad Mini, I don't even know if Apple devices have Flash...do they?
    Anyway, when I go to a site that's plagued by this issue, I tap the 'Play' arrow on my screen & the circle spins like it's gonna play, but then the screen turns black & this error message appears:
                                                  "Error loading media. File Could not be played"  followed by a triangle with an exclamation point !
    I read several articles online & the solutions ran from updating firmware in their router, (mine is brand new...installed last Thursday), to disabling ad-block programs in their browsers...(I don't have any enabled), and the last one was making changes to the DNS...(I know it means 'domain name server', but I don't have the foggiest idea how to make changes to it!
    Anyway, that's my problem.  I hope that someone out there knows what I can do to fix it!
    Thanks in advance for your help.

    I would assume an issue with the HTML5 media player.
    If those aren't working on Windows then it is possible that the proper codecs aren't installed.
    You can try to disable the HTML5 media player and make Firefox use the Flash plugin.
    You can do this by setting these two prefs to false on the <b>about:config</b> page:
    *media.windows-media-foundation.enabled
    *media.directshow.enabled

  • ORA-29541 class could not be resolved

    Bear with me if I sound stupid. Can't help it (because I am)! I am running this code in Java and I keep getting this error: ORA-29541 AFATDS.joeycode could not be resolved:
    connection=java.sql.DriverManager.getConnection(url, username, password);
    stmt=connection.prepareStatement("Create or replace directory Bfile_dir as '/comp_order/joey/trig/trig/bin');
    stmt.execute();
    stmt.execute("Create or replace JAVA CLASS using BFILE (Bfile_dir, 'joeycode.class')");
    stmt.execute("Create or replace procedure Before_update as language JAVA name 'joeycode.printmsg()';");
    stmt.execute("Create or replace trigger pre_upd_trigger BEFORE UPDATE on table_name CALL Before_update");
    stmt.execute("Update table_name SET column1 = 0");

    Hi,
    IS this code compiled in the database? If so, which error message did you get upon creating the Java source in the database? Which additional error message did you get along with ORA-29541?
    Btw, which JDBC URL are you using?

  • JDeveloper Oracle XE The Network Adapter could not establish the connectio

    I installed JDeveloper 10.1.2 and oracle express on Fedora.
    Now I cannot create a database connection from jdeveloper using the connection navigator
    The hostname, port etc is correct.
    Sqlplus and everything else regarding the database on the command line works fine.
    Did I miss something ?
    Maybe an environment setting ?
    I did the following installation (all on the same host):
    Java runtime
    JDeveloper
    XE Database
    Testing a connection I used the Oracele Database Express Edition 2 Day PLus Java Developer Guide.
    Is this documentation complete ?
    Can someone also explain to me what the error message
    Io exception: The Network Adapter could not establish the connection EXACTLY means ??
    Where does it go wrong ?
    Is there a checklist for thsi kind of thin-java connection problems ?

    Here some extra info, as I just said I did a default installation.
    The listener is up on port 1521, see ouput:

    So still I dont known what is going wrong here, the following properties are used by this connection:
    Type: Oracle (JDBC)
    Driver: oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver
    User: hr
    URL: jdbc:oracle:thin:@linux900:1521:XE
    Is the driver used by JDeveloper correct ?
    There is a note on XE that the use of oracle.jdbc.driver.* classes is deprecated but still supported.

    Hi
    1.) check that this responsibility is assigned to the user,which u mentioned in the user name.
    2.) or go to run option of Jdeveloper and terminate the Embedded oc4j server and start running the page again and test .
    thanx

  • ORA-29541 class .../OracleXMLStaticQuery could not be resolved

    I'm getting this error running test scripts that call DBMS_XMLQuery.newContext. I think I didn't install the XML SQL Utility properly on my HPUX server. I ran the oraclexmlload.csh script as SYS, and the jar files and PL/SQL packages seemed to install properly. I just let the oraclexmlsqltest script error out, since I didn't have the scott/tiger schema.
    My test script run properly on a local database I setup on my PC, but not on my Unix DB. Any ideas?
    Thank you
