    Hi,
    Please from now own put this exact tag => (So that's: four characters, forming the word 'code' between curly brackets)
    before and after your examples. That way your indentation and formatting remains intact and we will be able to read and understand faster what's going on.

    Probably all you need to do is call your function once more or reconnect.

  • Java.sql.SQLException: ORA-04062: timestamp of function has been changed

    Hi,
    Environment:
    We host our java 1.5 , j2ee application on multi-clustered environment connecting 2 app servers to 1 node of oracle RAC cluster.
    We have batch jobs running daily in the morning, that does a new data upload to the production DB. (Load to a Tmp table, Drop the production table, rename Tmp table to production table and re-create indexes.)
    Recent Change:
    We recently migrated from Oracle 10.0 version to 10.1...
    Issue:
    With the recent change, we started facing the error, 'ORA-04062: timestamp of function has been changed' for the STORED PROCEDURES that we use in the application. And I am sure that this is because of the job that runs in the morning, as it re-creates the tables that are used by the stored-procedures. So the stored-procedures become invalid and requires recompile. And we did recompile as well, but still the same error. And then changed the mode from 'TIMESTAMP' to 'SIGNATURE', but still the same error(ORA-04062: TIMESTAMP (and not SIGNATURE) of function has been changed)...
    We are stuck here not knowing what to do. It would be helpful if you can assist me here with any idea on why this is happening? The only solution we found right now is to restart the tomcat on application servers. This resolves the issue to 100%. Would this mean there is a problem with my database connection in the application?
    Thank you,
    Pradeep.

    The only solution we found right now is to restart the tomcat on application servers. This sounds to me as though TomCat is caching information about procedures & functions & does not know they have changed.

  • JBO-25014: Another user has changed .... can I change myViewRowImpl.java???

    Hi all,
    I'm noob working with jDeveloper and ADF and i'm finding a lot of problems building my application. The first one: "JBO-25014: Another user has changed .."
    I have been reading a lot about this problem and its different causes but seems that nothing helps me so i'm gonna tell you my problem and i hope that someone know how to solve it.
    My page shows a table and below it the details of each row selected in the table in read only mode.
    The table shows fields from a table in database and other fields with information not located in database (CMS). To build it i used the wizard to create a bussines component from a table . After i added the properties that are not located in database to the view and entity object.
    I generated java code for the view (myViewImpl.java & myViewRowImpl.java) and for the aplicacion module (myAmImpl.java) and in java class for the application module I overwrote some methods (findViewObject & getViewObjects) to add the source code needed to get data from CMS and add it to the data obtained from database.
    That works perfecly!
    Now, I wrote a new method in myViewImpl.java which get data from details form and update table in database (moreover other task: send mail, sms....). This method is executed with a command button. Method commits transaction after each operation. Again this works perfectly!
    The problem comes when i try to refresh the table with the new data after update. I tried different solutions:
    - Option 1: Clear cache after commit. Problem: When table is reloaded I'm losing data obteined from CMS and also this process is too heavy, i would like to avoid to go to CMS to reload whole table with every update of a row.
    - Option 2: Set new values directly in object myViewRowImpl.java. That could be the perfect solution, after every update i just inform the row object with the new values. The problem is that when i try to commit the transaction I'm getting a JBO-25014. If I set the new values before commit, the errors comes in this commit, if i set the values after the commit, the error comes in the next row to be updated.
    Any idea of how to avoid the problem in option 2????
    Other general sugestion????
    Thanks in advance!!
    Curro.
    PD: Sorry for my poor english

    Hi,
    Using ADF BC, the default locking behavior is set to pessimistic. Check the ApplicationModule configuration (right mouse click the AM and choose "configuration") and change the locking property to optimistic.
    Also you need to set the EO attributes to refresh after insert and/or refresh after update.

    I want to pass along a couple of tips that will get you more and better response on this list.
    1) There is an un-written rule that says more "stars" is better than just one star. Giving a one star rating will probably eliminate that responder from individuals that are willing to anser your question.
    2) If someone gives you an answer that meets your needs, reply to that answer and say that it worked.
    3) If someone suggests that you look at an example, DO IT! LV comes with a wonderful set of examples that demonstate almost all of the core functionality of LV. Familiarity with all of the LV examples will get you through about 80% of the Certified LabVIEW Developer exam.
    4) If you have a question first search the examples for something tha
    t may help you. If you can not find an example that is exactly what you want, find one that is close and post a question along the lines of "I want to do something similar to example X, how can I modify it to do Y".
    5) Some of the greatest LabVIEW minds offer there services and advice for free on this exchange. If you treat them good, they can get you through almost every challenge that can be encountered in LV.
    6) If English is not your native language, post your question in the language you favor. There is probably someone around that can help. "We're big, we're bad, we're international!"

    Hi Charles,
    I've had a look at your page 21.
    The problem was that the "Fetch Values 2" process was not conditional and was running in the "On Load - Before Header" process point. This meant that it was being run every time the page was being loaded. This process checks for the CUSTOMER_ID relating to the value in P21_CUST_FIRST_NAME which, because the "Fetch Row..." process hasn't been run at that point (it runs "On Load - After Header"), will always return the same CUSTOMER_ID value from when the page was first loaded. The Next/Previous buttons, however, moved the P21_CUSTOMER_ID forward/back one value (this became apparent when this field was changed from "Hidden and Protected" to "Text"). As a result, the data on the page was for "Albert" but the CUSTOMER_ID value was for whatever record was next/previous to the Albert one. Thus, moving next/previous always caused a mix of the actual data.
    I have changed the "Fetch Values 2" process to be conditional on P21_CUSTOMER_ID being NULL. This way, the CUSTOMER_ID value is ONLY found by code when the page is first loaded. Thereafter, it is controlled by the Next/Previous functionality.

    We are using Apex version: 3.1.2.00.02
    What else could be the reason and how should I fix it?
    At this point the application is migrated and I am unable to write a custom package for the DML operations. And this issue happens randomly and that too only while updating the data.

  • Changing .java x recreating .class

    Isn4t is a .class automaticly recreated (after a .java was changed) when you run an application that use it ?
    Is there any orientation using .java files from a .zip file ? I4m asking because I4ve opened a .java file, changed it, but I couldn4t update it in the zip file (as a zip asks you) even the zip file had write permission ?!?

    Thanks for your answers - The one about "Jdev automatically re-build my app/comp" confirm the information I had, so here is my problem:
    To change the EditCurrentRecord I4ve extracted it, changed it, compiled it and update it in the original Archive, jbohtmlsrc.zip and the new
    EditCurrentRecord.class in the jbohtml.zip.
    Fine, I4ve rebuilded my project but it didn4t recognized any change I4ve done on that class ?!
    I4ve certified myself there was just one jbohtml.zip and it was the one pointed im my application,
    I4ve tried different things ... The last one was remove the EditCurrentRecord.class from the jbohtml.zip file, just to check if my application will show an error message and don4t execute.
    Believe or not, my application is still running ?!?! Do you know why is it happening ?

  • How can I change java.policy at runtim on client machines using java webst?

    Hi,
    I have to change java.policy to launch my application through webstart to provide one RuntimePermission "permission java.lang.RuntimePermission "getClassLoader";"
    Its because of a bug in java bug "_http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=4809366_"
    So, my problem here is, how can I do this dynamically on each client machine's java.policy.
    I have spent time on this and found some alternatives
    1. Specifying an Additional Policy File at Runtime by launching application "java -Djava.security.manager -Djava.security.policy=someURL SomeApp"
    Please refer more on this "http://docs.oracle.com/javase/6/docs/technotes/guides/security/PolicyFiles.html"
    But, here the problem is, how can I do this using webstart (expert.jnlp) file even though I have the "java-vm-args" tag, its not supporting this argument.
    Please refer "http://docs.oracle.com/javase/6/docs/technotes/guides/javaws/developersguide/syntax.html#security";
    2. Implementing the Policy in code.
    But, not sure how to do this..
    How can I grant the runtime permission on every user's machine dynamycally?
    Here are some background details on this:
    I am using java6 and weblogic 10.3.3.
    Here is thing that I tried,
    My application downloads a few jars to the client machines using java webstart and then it will get the initial context using the t3 protocal. The jars include wlclient.jar and ojdbc6.jar initially.
    The problem here I was facing, when I tried request a bean, it is giving me the following exception in the client logs.It is requesting one state less session bean and I checked the server logs as well and the bean has returned the expected values properly.
    But here I observed one more thing, before this request, one session bean(state less) has been requested successfully.

    The same is working in some other machine which are in different network. So, I have replaced the wlclient.jar with the wlthint3client.jar.
    After replacing this jar I was getting the below exception in client logs while requesting a state less session bean.I also checked whether the request is reaching the server (bean) or not, but its not reaching the server.The problem is same at all the machines irrespective of the networks.

    I have tried one more thing, I have taken all the required jars to one of the client machines and executed the main class (by setting the required class path) from cmd using java instead of javaws. Surprisingly, its working fine with out any problem using the wlthint3client.jar.
    I also tried the same, by placing wlclient.jar using java in the same way(from cmd instead of javaws ), but I was facing the same exception while requesting the second session bean and found the same above exception in client logs.
    To resolve this, I come across the java bug that I have given earlier "_http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=4809366_".
    In that page, I found a work around for this; suggested by bea to add the Runtime permission "permission java.lang.RuntimePermission "getClassLoader";" to the clients java.policy
    So, please suggest me a way to resolve this problem.
    Please suggest me if you have any other solutions for this problem.
    Thanks in advance :)

    I still think your problem is nothing to do with that ancient non-bug and that you should be looking elsewhere. You might be lucky and find someone here who can say "Ah, I know what that is" but I doubt it because since Oracle took over Sun this site has gone down hill big time.

  • JBO-25014: Another user has changed the row with primary key oracle.jbo.Key

    Hi,
    I am developing a Fusion Web Application using Jdeveloper 11.1.2.1.0. I have a home.jspx page that has a ADF table built on efttBilling View Object. . When you click on one of the rows in the table, it will take you to detail.jspx where you can edit the row and save. When 'save' is clicked, stored procedures are executed to update/insert rows into few tables , and then go back to home.jspx where you need to see updated content for that row.
    To get down to the exact issue, updates are made to the tables on which the efttBilling View Object is built using a stored procedure. Once this is done, I am trying to requery view object to see new content. But I keep getting JBO-25014: Another user has changed the row with primary key oracle.jbo.Key error. Following are the approaches I followed to query new results:
    a. Executed Application Modules Commit Method. Created 'Commit' Action binding and tied it to homePageDef.xml. Called this binding from a view scope bean.
        BindingContainer bindings = BindingContext.getCurrent().getCurrentBindingsEntry();
         OperationBinding operationBinding = bindings.getOperationBinding("Commit");
        Object result = operationBinding.execute();
       if (!operationBinding.getErrors().isEmpty())
        return null;
    b. Marked 'Refresh on Insert' , 'Refresh on Update', 'Change Indicator' checkboxes for all the attributes in the entities associated with efttBilling View Object.
    c. Tried to Requery View Object. Created a refreshViewObject method in Application Module Impl.java file, exposed this method to the client interface and created a invokeMethod Action binding in home.jspx
    Code in Application Module:
      public void refresheftTransactionsforBillingAccountViewObj1View()
        System.out.println("In eftTransactionsforBillingAccountViewObj1");
      findViewObject("eftTransactionsforBillingAccountViewObj1").executeQuery();
    Code in view scope bean
            DCBindingContainer bindings =
           (DCBindingContainer)BindingContext.getCurrent().getCurrentBindingsEntry();
            OperationBinding operation =
            bindings.getOperationBinding("refresheftTransactionsforBillingAccountViewObj1View");
            operation.execute();
    I have searched web, ADF forums and tried methods suggested in there but no sucess.
    Could anyone please provide some insight in this issue. I have been battling with this since quite some time. I can provide you with the log file too.
    Thanks!
    Shai.

    What code does your Commit method have .. can you try using the Commit executable from the AM itself instead ?

    which all attributes you set this property for . it should just be for History columns as such.
    Did you also check if this could be your scenario ?
