Ora -3113 while Java Deployment

I am getting the following errors while deploying the java class
$ loadjava -oci8 -resolve -user javaupdate/javaupdate jtest.class
Error while creating class jtest/jtest
ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel
Error while resolving class jtest/jtest
ORA-04043: object jtest/jtest does not exist
loadjava: 2 errors
I would appreciate if anybody can help me in this regard.
Thanks in advance.

Aldrin,
With the thin driver, you just need to make sure that the
classes111.zip file is in your classpath. For the OCI driver,
you need to make sure that classes111.zip is in your classpath
AND that you have the Oracle8 client installed locally. If you
are using the default Oracle 8.1.5 drivers, you need to have the
Oracle 8.1.5 Client installed locally, and make sure that your
Oracle_Home is set correctly in your registry (this is how
JDeveloper finds the client DLLs it needs to establish the
connection).
If you are using the default 8.1.5 drivers, you should not need
to do anything for the thin driver. JDeveloper includes the
directory path to the classes111.zip file for the 8.1.5 drivers
in its classpath.
Since you are using loadjava from the command line, I would
recommend that you reference the Oracle8i JDBC Developer's Guide
for information on how to test your connection.

• ORA-3113 while running export (first run ok, second run fails)

Hi,
I'm running 10g (10.1.0.2.0) on gentoo Linux.
After a restart of the database I can do an EXP for any user without errors. But when I repeat the same command after the export I get the following error:
. . exporting table WEB_SESSION_DATA 0 rows exported
. exporting synonyms
EXP-00008: ORACLE error 3113 encountered
ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel
EXP-00000: Export terminated unsuccessfully
It's always the same error on the same task (exporting synonyms) but always just for the second and any later export, while the first one is ok.
I read through some forums and found, that ORA-3113 is a standard error which just hides the real error. So I look into the trace files and found:
ksedmp: internal or fatal error
ORA-07445: exception encountered: core dump [jox_lookup_known_object()+413] [SIGSEGV] [Address not mapped to object] [0x1AD14034] [] []
Current SQL statement for this session:
SELECT SYNNAM, DBMS_JAVA.LONGNAME(SYNNAM), DBMS_JAVA.LONGNAME(SYNTAB), TABOWN, TABNODE, PUBLIC$, SYNOWN, SYNOWNID, TABOWNID, SYNOBJNO FROM SYS.EXU9SYN WHERE SYNOWNID = :1 ORDER BY SYNTIME
If I call this SQL from sqlplus I get the same ORA-3113, so this seems to be the cause for the export failure.
When I remove the DBMS_JAVA.LONGNAME calls from the statement, it runs fine. It also runs fine, when I add a "and 1=0" to the EXU9SYN view. But this will not really solve the problem, because then all synonyms don't get exported.
I also checked all the synonyms and they are valid, the referenced tables exist and can be queried.
Because we use JavaStoredProcedures I cannot remove the Java Features in Oracle. But I reinstalled it (rmjvm.sql and initjvm.sql) but this did not help.
Does anyone have an idea what's happening here?
Especially the "first run ok, second run fails" seems to be very strange, because DB objects including DBMS_JAVA should be ok, if the first export can be done. So what changes in the database during or after the first run?

Maybe description for bug 3953108 (ORA-7445 AND ORA-3113 DURING DIRECT FULL DATABASE EXPORT OF PUBLIC SYNONYMS) is helpful.

I think it is just Netweaver 7.3 Web AppServer Java (I have searched the market place it did not say anything about the version EHP),

• Import failing with ORA 3113 end of file on communication channel error

While doing a schema level import on oracle 9.2.0.6 enterprise edition db, i get IMP 00003 with ORA 3113 error.
The import job fails particularly at one point where it tries to create a view with around 7000 lines.
Now I tried to create this view manually by executing the sql statement and get the same error.
As an another exercise when i pick up just a few lines say first 10 or 15 of the view definition, the view gets created in no time.
So, is there any limitation with Oracle as to how many lines a view can hold or buffer space or something.
Here is the sample code:
create or replace view uix_kana_kanji_c_evw as
select 'EFBC90' as kana_kanji_char from dual
union select 'EFBC91' as kana_kanji_char from dual
union select 'EFBC92' as kana_kanji_char from dual
union select 'EFBC93' as kana_kanji_char from dual
union select 'EFBC94' as kana_kanji_char from dual
union select 'EFBC95' as kana_kanji_char from dual
union select 'EFBC96' as kana_kanji_char from dual
union select 'EFBC97' as kana_kanji_char from dual

union select 'EFBCA6' as kana_kanji_char from dual
union select 'EFBCA7' as kana_kanji_char from dual

ORA-3113 is a generic error. The bad news is there are slightly less than a million combination of OS, platform, versions and events that might cause it to happen.
The good news is there should be a message in the alert log whenever this occurs. If you're lucky there may be .TRC file as well (check udump directory as well as bdump). The contents of the file(s) should give you some guidance about what causes it to happen. If you still need help from us you'll need to post some concrete details for us to ponder.
Good luck, APC

I believe you need to go into your config.xml and add
ClusterConstraintsEnabled="false" attribute to the Domain element.
ie.
<Domain ClusterConstraintsEnabled="false" ...
Let me know if that doesn't do the trick.

?By default, the deployment fails if any of the targets are not running.
I believe there is an option to force it to deploy even if some

what you want.
Question: How can i target deploying an application to a cluster usingANT script

I believe remote=true means that the files should be resolved on

pass a relative path in and have the server use that relative pathon
its file system.
It doesn't sounds like remote=true is what you want. If the
client/server share a filesystem (eg a network filesystem) then you
don't need to specify any options.
If you want the client's copy of proxy.war uploaded to the server,then
set upload=true

• How can I call ora:appendToList from java snippet?

I want to assign a list of user from User Task A to User Task B, but I don't know how to call ora:appendToList from java snippet, and are there any better ways to solve this situation?

Hi Rakesh,
Thank you for your help.
For issue 1, for example, user jcooper apply a vacation, and the request goes to his manager jstein,
and jstein dispatch the task to mtwain and rsteven for parallel approval, (this is just for example, in
some case, the manager can use the reassign function), so I use simple workflow pattern for manager approval,
and parallel workflow pattern for parallel approval, but in my situation, the user for parallel approval is
uncertain, need select by manager jstein, so I want to know how to assign the user from java code to bpel process.
The following is how I solve the problem now, put the user list string in flexString1 of simple workflow task,
then allocate the array for parallel assigneeUsers, then use setVariableData assign the value, it can do the job,
but the code is awful, I want to know how to do it in some better way.
<assign name="copyPayloadFromTask">
<copy>
<from expression="ora:countNodes( 'inputVariable','task','/task:task /task:assigneeUsers')"/>
<to variable="currentLength"/>
</copy>
</assign>
<sequence>
<bpelx:exec name="Java_Embedding_2" language="Java" version="1.4"><![CDATA[
Element ele=(Element)getVariableData("inputVariable","task","/task:task/task:flexString1");
String users=ele.getNodeValue();
String[] userArray=users.split(",");
setVariableData("arrayLength",new Integer(userArray.length));
]]>
</bpelx:exec>
<while name="While_1" condition=" (bpws:getVariableData('currentLength')) < (bpws:getVariableData('arrayLength')) ">
<assign name="Assign_1">
<copy>
<from expression="ora:appendToList('inputVariable','task',' /task:task/task:assigneeUsers', string( 'test'))"/>
<to variable="oraBPMTemporaryVariable"/>
</copy>
<copy>
<from expression="ora:countNodes( 'inputVariable','task','/task:task /task:assigneeUsers')"/>
<to variable="currentLength"/>
</copy>
</assign>
</while>
<bpelx:exec name="Java_Embedding_1" language="Java" version="1.4"><![CDATA[
Element ele=(Element)getVariableData("inputVariable","task","/task:task/task:flexString1");
String users=ele.getNodeValue();
String[] userArray=users.split(",");
for(int i=0;i<userArray.length;i++){
setVariableData("inputVariable","task","/task:task/task:assigneeUsers["+(i+1)+"]",userArray);

Hi Suraj,
Hope you are doing good.
Nice to hear from you again. It looks like P4 connection is affected:
1)
Review note 1158626 and adjust the P4 port configuration accordingly. You will need to check whether the P4 port is available. Note 1925352 will help you to check this (you can use the sapcontrol command or others mentioned to check whether host: 172.16.35.110 and port: 50004 is available or not).
2)
Make sure that there are no invalid profile files. Kindly move the profile files that are old to some other location.
3)
Also, please verify that you don't have any non-deterministic names in the etc/hosts file, per SAP note:
1134222 - Cannot access AS Java via P4 connection
Hope this helps.
Kind Regards,
Hemanth

• How do i fix the message to update java deployment kit when I already have the lastest version of java installed?

I keep getting a message that "An important update is available for Java Deployment Toolkit 7.0.400.43". I click on "Update Now" and I get taken to the Mozilla Plug-in check page. A brief message shows at the top of the page that tells me some plugins are out of date and then disappears. The plugin checks show all plugins are up to date. I have uninstalled/reinstalled Java more than once and run a registry cleaner, but once I install Java the same messages appear. I am on a Windows XP machine and I am running an older version of Firefox (9.0) because addons for some of my other software don't work with newer versions of firefox. Can I get rid of the message or do I have to live with it because I use an older version of firefox?

Please update to Firefox 23.0.1 IMMEDIATELY. Old versions are extremely vulnerable to security issues, and all your add-ons should work if they work in Firefox 10 anyway.

• SQL*Plus Raises: ORA-3113 End of file on communication channel

I have a Win2000 machine running Oracle client 8i, connecting to an HP-UX server running 9i RAC, with an unknown collection of switches/firewalls in between. Using SQL*Plus I can successfully connect and run queries. However, if I leave the session idle for some time, approximately 15 minutes (though this varies), the next query I execute hangs for a few seconds, then returns with ORA-3113.

ntt2err: soc 660 error - operation=5, ntresnt[0]=517, ntresnt[1]=54, ntresnt[2]=0
This apparently indicates that the network timed out, a sign of a busy network.
Can anyone:
a) Confirm this or otherwise;
b) Suggest how I may go about proving this to a corporate network operations team;
Cheers, Si.

I think the reason can be timeout on one of the firewalls. Network administrators
quite often configure following setting:
"Disconnect idle connection after 15 minutes" - I facedd this problem several
times.

• Removing the Java Deployment Toolkit?

Hello,
I was wondering if it is possible to remove the Deployment ToolKit .dll from the machine or disable it in browser within an infrastructure? I wanted to see if there are any other functionality that could be impacted I remove the deployJava1.dll from my machine or disable it in browser?
The link below shows the following information regarding blocking or removing.
What is the Java Deployment Toolkit?
What happens if the Java Deployment Toolkit plug-in is blocked?
By blocking the Java DT plug-in, the Java version detection mechanism is disabled. Therefore, when a user tries to launch a Java applet or application, that requires a specific Java version other than the active Java version on a user’s system, it will fail.
Does this mean the application will break? Or just that the detection mechanism will be broken for the application version check and the app will still run? I would like to remove these bits to ensure no version checking is done on my systems.
Thanks,
Michael

Your "More System Details" doesn't show any Java plugin at all. Are you sure you have the current version installed? This test page will lead you to a download if needed:
http://www.java.com/en/download/testjava.jsp
If you have Java installed, check whether its two plugins (Java Platform SE and Java Deployment Toolkit) are set to "Never Activate" on the Add-ons page. That disables them. Open the Add-ons page using either:
* Ctrl+Shift+a
* orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Plugins. Note that disabled plugins cluster at the bottom of the list.

• ORA-3113 Error in pl/sql

Hi,
I am working in oracle9i and solaris 8.If i execute a package in Pl/sql it shows error as
ora-03113 end-of-file on communication channel...
but the same package if i executed in TOAD means it's working fine ....
Please explain me...

If i execute a package in Pl/sql Do you mean in SQL*Plus (as opposed to TOAD)?
ORA-3113 is a generic error, usually meaning the client did something the server didn't like. This can often be caused by incompatibilities between the versions of the client and the database server.
Unfortunately the generic nature of teh error makes it hard for us to give you a specific answer, Is there anything in the alert log file?
Cheers, APC
