Oracle 8i full export fails (ORA-00904)

Hello Guru's.
I encounter this problem when i try a full export.
Database version is 8.1.7.4 and the export utility is also 8.1.7.4
When i try exporting it generates a ORA-00904 error. I traced on this error and see the following:
*** SESSION ID:(8.57) 2007-03-21 10:33:53.738
*** 2007-03-21 10:33:53.738
ksedmp: internal or fatal error
ORA-00904: invalid column name
Current SQL statement for this session:
SELECT GRANTOR, GRANTORID, GRANTEE, PRIV, WGO, ISDIR, TYPE FROM SYS.EXU8GRN WHERE OBJID = :1 ORDER BY WGO DESC, SEQUENCE
I checked the compatible parameter:
(compatible string 8.1.7)
Any reply greatly appreciated.

Yeah, well, maybe running catexp.sql will solve that .....
And it did.
But more stuff is coming up, proberly when i try to import this thingie into Oracle 10g.
Thanks, and reply!

  • Full export error (ORA-01031) (Oracle 8.1.7)

    Hello all,
    Please provide any hint/help on the following.
    My environment is: Windows 2000 Professional, Oracle 8i rel. 3 (8.1.7) Enterprise Ed.
    I use "Administrator" account which is part of ORA_DBA group.
    Please note that Security properties of the folder "F:\oracle\oradata\oraavl", where the database files are located, is set for Administrator user, System group, ORA_DBA group to have full control.
    I'm trying to do a full export using these commands:
    F:\>set ORACLE_SID=oraavl
    F:\>set BACKUP_DIR=F:\oracle\backup
    F:\>exp 'sys/avlman as sysdba' full=yes file=%BACKUP_DIR%\%ORACLE_SID%.dmp
    The error I get is:

    Run the export as the SYS user instead of connecting with the "as sysdba" in your connect string. This is a bug and related directly to the Java. It would take too long to explain the details and I'm not sure if it even matters to you because I'm sure all you want is to export your data and move on.

    Hello,
    I'm trying to do a full export of my DB,I have installed Oracle 9i dataserver(configured in shared mode) on Windows 2k, and the following error appears me:

    ORA-01041: error interno. No existe la extensión hostdef

    I don't understand it, because I have 2 other DB instances created in the same data server and their exportation have finished correctly.
    Any idea?¿
    Thanks a lot,

  • Dynamic SQL Error -ORA-00904: invalid identifier

    Hello!
    I'm really hoping I can get some fast help on this. In the interest of honesty, this is for a university oracle programming assignment. I've searched everywhere I can for the answer and haven't had any luck.
    Anyway, the problem in a nutshell. I have to write a package to write a text file. The formatting information for the file is held in a table, which has columns to define the various characteristics like justification, padding character and field value.
    RECORDTYPE FIELDNAME FIELDVALUE FIELDSIZE FIELDORDER PADDINGCHAR JUSTIFICATION DATASOURCE
    7 CreditTotal v_credit 10 5 '0' LPAD PROGRAM
    7 RecordType '7' 1 1 ' ' RPAD HARDCODE
    I can build the whole file except this footer. the FieldValue "v_credit" references a variable that has the calculated total of the credit amounts for the file. There are also "v_debit", and "(v_credit-v_debt)" entries.
    My question seems simple... How can I use this VARCHAR2 value from the table, and have it reference the variable within a Dynamic SQL string? If I use the textvalue of the column in the SQL string it gives me the invalid identifier error when it hits the EXECUTE IMMEDIATE statement. There is another row for the header which has "to_char(sysdate,'DDMMYYYY')" in it, and that runs fine. I'm assuming because they are native SQL statements and variables.
    I have tried encapsulating the v_credit in "s, and using dynamica bind variables but had the same problem passing the names to the USING clause.
    The SQL string created by the procedure is: SELECT LPAD(v_credit,10,'0' ) FROM dual
    The full error is:
    ORA-00904: "V_CREDIT": invalid identifier
    ORA-06512: at "BWOOD.PKG_BRIAN", line 108
    ORA-06512: at line 2
    Line 108 is the EXECUTE IMMEDIATE statement
    I would really appreciate someones help! I'm happy to post the procedure I've written, with the caveat that it's sloppy student work and needs cleaning up of all the experimental commented attempts:)
    Edited by: user5426606 on 20-May-2009 03:34 - Added a few more facts.

    Thank you for the fast replies. I'll post a short chunk of code to demonstrate.
    The actual procedure is quite a bit longer, but this should give you the idea.
    PROCEDURE build_dbfile (p_settlement_date IN DATE, p_settlement_key IN VARCHAR2, p_type IN VARCHAR2) AS
    v_sqlString    VARCHAR2(4000) := 'SELECT ';
    v_rectype     NUMBER := 7;
    v_line           LONG;
    v_debit        NUMBER := 0;
    v_credit       NUMBER := 0;
    v_nrRecords    NUMBER := 0;
      CURSOR c_settlement IS... -- to select records for data rows
    -- cursor to select the rows with the file formatting and data info
      CURSOR c_header IS   SELECT   NVL(fieldvalue,fieldname) db_field, <---- selects the data column
                                                   fieldsize,
                                                   NVL(paddingchar, ''' ''') paddingchar,
                                                   NVL(justification,'LPAD') justification,
                                                  datasource
                                      FROM     FSS_DESKBANK_REF
                                      WHERE    recordtype = r_rec_types.recordtype
                                      ORDER BY recordType, fieldorder;
    -- SELECT to get the SUM of datarows for v_credit
      SELECT      SUM(transactionamount)
      INTO      v_credit...
    -- SELECT to get the SUM of datarows for v_debit
      SELECT      SUM(transactionamount)
      INTO      v_debit....
    FOR r_head IN c_header LOOP
    v_sqlString := v_sqlString  || r_head.justification|| '('
                                         || r_head.db_field ||','
                                         || r_head.fieldsize || ','
                                         || r_head.paddingchar || ')';
    v_sqlString := v_sqlString || ' FROM ' || v_tbl_name;
    DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE('SQL --> '||v_sqlString);
    EXECUTE IMMEDIATE v_sqlString INTO v_line;
    END LOOP;
    DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE(v_line);
    END build_dbfile;So the loop goes through the table rows, grabs each data value and formatting column, and builds the sql string, which is then passed to the execute statement. The issue is the ones where the datarow contains a reference to v_credit, and the error is generated. ie r_head.db_field contains the string "v_credit"
    Satish, the sql does look like that in the string, but the string is built from the table, not hardcoded. ie v_sqlString = "SELECT LPAD(v_credit,10,'0' ) FROM dual" when it is passed to the EXECUTE IMMEDIATE.

  • EA1 - Export result of query to clipboard gives ORA-00904 error

    I ran the following SQL in a SQL Developer worksheet:
    create table EXTCHAR_TEST (TEST_COL VARCHAR2(2000));
    insert into EXTCHAR_TEST(TEST_COL) values ('(ASCII) ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ');
    insert into EXTCHAR_TEST(TEST_COL) values ('(UTF-8) ŁłŃńŅņŇňʼnŊŋŌōŎŏŐőŒœŔŕŖŗŘřŚ');
    insert into EXTCHAR_TEST(TEST_COL) values ('(UTF-8) ŗňŅŒŅ ňŁœ ōř ňʼnŇň łřŔŅ ŇŏŎŅ?');
    select TEST_COL, DUMP(TEST_COL,1016) from EXTCHAR_TEST;
    I then tried to right-click on the results and export them as CSV to the clipboard. Whenever I try this (possibly other ways too, I haven't tried) I get this error:
    An error was encountered performing the requested operation:
    ORA-00904: "DUMP(TEST_COL,1016)": invalid identifier
    00904. 00000 - "%s: invalid identifier"

    Hi Barry,
    I think I'm using the latest "EA1" version, which I downloaded from here:
    [http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/sql/index21_EA1.html]
    I have just confirmed using the sample script, that the problem still exists. I was connected to a v9.2.0.5.0 database... if that makes any difference.
    * Run SQL
    * Right-Click on results
    * Export Data -> csv...
    * Clipboard
    * Click "Apply"
    * Error... :-(

    The error could be due to mismatch between the database version and the import/export utility. You have a 10.1.0.2.0 DB but the version of the imp/exp utilities supplied along with Designer 10.1.2.0.2 is 10.1.0.4. You could use 9i imp/exp utilities and export. Another possible method would be to export all workareas in the repository from the RON.

  • "ORA-00904: "POLTYP": invalid identifier" in export

    First I got errors when I did the export with an export tool of Release 11.1.0.7.0 and there were lot of ORA-00904 and ORA-01003 like the following:
    XP-00008: ORACLE error 904 encountered
    ORA-00904: "MAXSIZE": invalid identifier
    . . exporting table XRATE_INFO
    EXP-00008: ORACLE error 1003 encountered
    ORA-01003: no statement parsed
    Then I tried to do export with another version of export tool (Release 10.2.0.4.0) The errors changed to the following:
    .about to export FM's tables via Direct Path...
    EXP-00008: ORACLE error 904 encountered
    ORA-00904: "POLTYP": invalid identifier
    EXP-00000: Export terminated unsuccessfully
    The export tool I used is of Release 10.2.0.4.0
    Has anyone had similar problems before?

  • ORA-00904 when exporting job queues

    Hi!
    I have a 8.1.6.3.7 database (although you only see 8.1.6.3.0) when you log in) which I'm trying to export.
    Everything is fine until the time comes to export job queues. I then get the following error messages:
    EXP-00008: ORACLE error 904 encountered
    ORA-00904: invalid column name
    EXP-00000: Export terminated unsuccessfully
    Now, I've just spent my morning looking through the discussion forums to see if anyone else had this error, but no luck.
    What I've done:
    - Rerun catexp: no change
    - ensured that I'm running the same version of the RDBMS and export (v8.1.6.3(.7) and 8.1.6.3.0): ok?
    Any ideas anyone?
    Thanks,
    Kevin

    Hi Prathmesh,
    in fact I saw this very thread before and I made sure that both solutions were applied. Moreover as I said patch 6991626 had already been applied earlier, precisley to fix this problem, and I've had been able to successfully export other albeit somewhat smaller schemas (500M instead of 3GB) in the last few months. This is why I was so puzzled to see that exact bug raise its ugly head again. As far as I can tell I didn't do any modification to the DB since that last patch in nov. 2009. In fact the DB has been running pretty much untouched since then.
    I even tried yestereday to reinstalled the patch again; opatch does the operation gracefully, first rolling back the patch then reapplying it again, with only a warning about the patch being already present. However the pb does not get fixed any better.
    Thanks a lot for your help,
    Chris

    尝试了几台服务器都遇到这个问题,暂时没有找到问题的原因

    问题已解决:
    ORACLE error 904 问题是因为回收了public 的dbms_java执行权限,重新授予解决。
    trace=y需要的权限问题: 应该需要grant dba to xxx; 单exp_full_database好像不行,下面是测试的情况
    when the Data Pump TRACE parameter is used in Oracle10g Release 2 or higher, then the user who connects to the database and runs the export DataPump job needs to have the DBA role or the EXP_FULL_DATABASE role (the same applies to Import DataPump with TRACE parameter: DBA or IMP_FULL_DATABASE role required), e.g.:
    GRANT exp_full_database TO scott;
    -- or:
    GRANT dba TO expdp_role;
