Oracle 9i Designer/Jdeveloper 9i interaction

Is it proposed that it will be possible to generate a first-cut
relational schema (as DD Transformer) from a class model
captured in the repository from JDeveloper 9i?
How integrated are the repository object types from the 2 tool
sets?

Hi,
In JDeveloper there is a framework called Business Components for Java (BC4J) and this has a concept of Entity Objects which are similar to Entities in Designer.
Therefore you can use the Class Modeler to draw Entity Objects and their relationships and then generate the table equivalents straight to the database.
I don't think there are any books covering this as the Class Modeler is making it's first appearance in this release. All I can advise is to download the JDeveloper9i Release Candidate from OTN and have a play with it. There should be plenty of help on BC4J and the Class Modeler.

I am using Oracle 10g Developer suite(Forms 32 Bit Version 10.1.2.0.2)
and Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.3.0
and Window Xp Professional 32 Bit Operating system
Now I can't do any changes in the form.
I searched lot of oracle forums .but i can't solve it.
Please give me one solution

Hi,
I am doing the bug fixing in the existing form.Its size is 4.07 MB.when i will get the mentioned error.then i will take previos fmb.then again doing the changes after some time agin will come the mention error.I added some if else condtion code.Its a small code.I think its not a reason for the mentioned error.I think something is happended.I don't know what happened?

Problem in Oracle ADF with JDeveloper. JBO25001

Hello All,
I have to develop an application using oracle ADF and JDeveloper. To famalirize my self with the technology, I downloaded the Oracle ADF tutorial "Tutorial for Forms/4GL developers" from Oracle site.
I am following this tutorial line by line, but still getting an error. I have created
1) Entities
2) Associations
3) Views
4) ViewLinks
5) Application Module
all by wizard.
After I added my view and view link into the application module and tried to test it it gave me the following error.

I changed the names of each object but still the problem persisted.

Password Probs - Oracle 8 Navigator & Oracle Lite Designer

I have read the thread entitled "Oracle Lite Designer -
password?", but none of the suggestions have worked.
Whether I try to run Oracle 8 Navigator or Oracle Lite Design,
at some point I get an alert box that prompts "Please provide
a database password?"
I have looked through numerous sources and find nothing on
this. Everything I try (that seems logical) for a password
fails.
Can anyone shed any light on this?
I have the following installed:
Windows 98
Oracle 8i Lite v4.0.0.1.0
Java 2 SDK, Standard Edition v1.2.2 for Windows 98/95/NT
Java HotSpot Performance Engine v1.0.1 for Window 98/95/NT
My PATH and CLASSPATH are set as follows in AUTOEXEC.BAT:
set CLASSPATH=C:\orawin95\LITE\CLASSES\OLITE40.JAR

Hello,
I ran into that problem, too. My solution was to uninstall all
Sun Java parts (JDK and JRE) and reinstall JDK1.2.2
("jdk1_2_2-win.exe")from scratch. My CLASSPATH includes only the
standard classes you can find after a normal OLite4-Installation
(see OLite4 installation notes or send my an email). And check
your environment variables for references to old Java parts.
Now Lite Designer runs with POLITE.odb and my own databases and
yes - it is slow, but it is Java, so this should explain
everything.
What I do not know is where that password dialog came from.
Sometimes it reappears, but not in my own databases.

Error: Oracle Forms Designer has stopped working

I have read a lot of different responses regarding this and related issues but none of the answers seem to be relative to my specific problem. Here is what I have done so far:
a. I just finished loading Oracle 11g 64x enterprise on my laptop running windows 7. It loaded correctly and I was able to import my 10g data dump and set up my schema.
b. I then installed the Oracle development suite: ds_windows_x86_101202_disk1 and disk2. There were some minor issues regarding compatibility but following the advise of one post, I checked the blocks in question and the software loaded fine.
c. I also attempted to install the p5969392_10123_WINNT.zip file but it gave a message indicating that no updates applied. (I am not sure if this is the correct patch or not?)
d. I also had to download and install the Sun SDK, v6.18.
e. I also updated the ORACLE paths in the default.env and registry entries and tried different urls in the runtime preference block. Nothing helped and I stayed with the default.
Oracle Forms seems to startup correctly and I am able to connect to the database with no problem. Although I did not build a new form completely, it appears that this would be no problem.
The problem:
The problem is that when I attempt to open a form that was previously developed in 10g on XP, I immediately get the "Oracle Forms Designer has stopped working" error and Forms Builder shuts down. I get the same error whether I attempt to open a library, menu, or form.
I have tried changing the compatibility mode from XP, service pack 3 (the default after install) to XP, service pack 2 but it made no difference.
If anyone has been able to work through this issue, please let me know how. Thanks

hi , i implement a web service and i deploy it in oracle weblogic from Jdeveloper 10.
but when testing this web service, it evaluates them as null.
and the wsdl in jdevelpor has 8888 not 7001.
please someone help me.

Put the jar file at $FND_TOP/java/3rdparty/standalone and add that jar file entry in jserv.properties. That should do the work for you.

I have Oracle lite installed in my machine.it works fine with

Read the publishing reports manual of Oracle reports to see how to Web enabled your Oracle reports. You can then invoke them from an ADF application either by calling a URL or using a Web service interface.
