Oracle ADF - OATS Load Testing
Gurus,
I was trying to do load testing with Oracle Application Testing Suite, after recording when I try to play it back the results are showing so many authentication errors - "Failed HTTP response code: 401 Unauthorized ".
Any suggestions how can we make it work?
Thanks

Unable to capture the Citrix network response time using OATS Load testing. Here is the scenario " in our project users logs into Citrix network and select the Hyperion application and does the Transaction and the Clients wants us to simulate the same scenario for load testing. We have scripted starting from Citrix Login and then launching Hyperion application. But the time taken to launch the Hyperion Application from Citrix network has not been captured whereas Hyperion Transaction time have been recorded. Can any help to resolve this issue ASAP?

OATS Load test is not able to scale for more than 10 users
Hi,
I am using OATS load test runner for performance testing Fusion based application on webcenter portal.I am not able to run OATS load tester sucessfully for more than 10 VU's.After that it gives a component not found issue or loop error. Please let me know if anybody faced similar issue and was able to resolve it.Is there some setting to be done?
Thanks,

Our application contains customised retail webcenter portal on which retail application is hosted. This portal application is not able to scale up more than 10 users.I had created portal application without the customised framework and then for a similar usecase it is able to scale upto more than 50 users but once it hits 100 VU mark it starts giving errors. If it were an issue with client tokens or login,I would have been able to have more than 1 user at a time.It seems to be an issue with custom framework developed on top of webcenter portal.I have faced a similar issue while testing for this app with jmeter also.I was able to test for the webcenter portal app without any customisation for more than 100 concurrent users. But I was not able to test for more than 1 user for customised retail webcenter portal
Thanks,

Hi All,
I have an Oracle ADF application which uses SOA and ADF BC in back-end. As per my requirement, I need to do stress test on ADF BC back-end component. As I said, this application is containing SOA and ADF BC calls so I prepared a test JSPX file on top of single AM (ADF's application module integrates all BC components).
This is first step in which I actually test single AM. There-after I prepared a JMeter script which actually makes HTTP URLs for calling JSPX. Firstly, I prepared this script for 15 concurrent users. Accordingly, I made changes in AM pooling configurations.
This is working fine but I have a doubt here, which is, I need to prepare seperate JSPX files (for different HTTP URLs) for different AMs (i.e. different ADF BC components). Is there any way through which I just pass some code snippet in existing application which actually test the ADF BC component. If I create JSPX file each time for each AM module, this will take too much time and efforts.
I am looking for something which should be implemented with existing application. I do not know, how to do that?
Please suggest me in case you have any alternate solutions.

Hi,
Could anyone assist me with the following plz:
We have a scenario in Load Testing where we run a test for users with exactly the same data on the input page.
When we change the data & make it different for each user, the test falls over.
Any thoughts, ideas, & assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Oracle Application Suite Load Testing
Hi,
This is regarding Data Bank Settings in OLT. I am trying to a run load test for 50 users. I have a databank of 400 records. But I want the 50 users to run just once and pick any 50 from 400 records in the Data Bank. What are the Databank settings required for this case? Highly appreciate your inputs on this.
Thanks,
ShobanaForgot to mention. My script uses getDatabank("User_Parameters").getNextDatabankRecord(); in initialize() function.

Load testing of Web ADI in EBS R12
Hi,
I am currently testing Oracle E-Business Suite R12. Has anyone load tested the Web ADI integrator for Oracle EBS R12? What tool did you use?
Did you use QTP or Oracle ATS functional testing? I was not able to do a POC using LoadRunner or OATS load test tool.
Basically Web ADI is an integration that allows data to be uploaded/downloaded between Oracle EBS R12 and local excel.
Any help is appreciated.

Edited by: oracletest on 14-May-2012 07:17Hi,
I have found that OATS does not work easily with Web ADI in my case.

ATS load testing for E-Business Suite using IE8 issue
Hi,
I am trying to record a load testing script using Oracle Application testing SUite for E-Business Suite R12.1.3 application. When I start recording I get a pop up asking me to change/disable XSS filter in IE8. I have altready done that and restarted the browser. But the same pop up message comes up.
My queries are:
1) Is ATS 9.3 supported for use with Internet Explorer 8? I am using Windows 7
2) How can I overcome this issue so that I can records EBS script in openscript.
I have run the runDiagnosis.bat file under openscript install folder and the output is as follows:

CPHello
1/ ATS 9.3 is supported with IE8, not IE9 at the moment
2/ Did you disable xss settings for the four different security zones?
You can also try to add the EBS url to the trusted sites and disable xss settings for that zone only.
Let us know and good luck

How to set Proxy for IE 8.0 on doing Load Testing with OATS 12.1.0.2
I have tried adding proxy server by adding the address to "Localhost" and Port as 8080.
but nothing is working out, for recording an EBS instance its working fine ,no need to setup anything in the OATS tool, eg, Proxy settings.
But when it comes to BPM with ADF technology , the recorder is not starting the Recording even the pointer navigation also not wokring.
So, is there way to record the ADF applications in BPM ?
Thanks in advance.Hi Wayne,
Thing is do we need to add the proxy server here?, as for doing Load testing on EBS application, there is no need of adding a proxy server,
So the same way it should work with the ADF application too, but its not showing any mouse pointer in the Browser tool bar or recording
the navigation.
Point to be noted is, we need to connect to VPN in order to access the Application.
is it because of VPN connection that its not recording?
But while doing the functional testing I didn't face anyproblem though as its recording everything even if we are connected to VPN.
In Functional testing also i found ,all the input fields where we add the "username" or any input data via a "text box" the tool is not able to
record the field information along with the input we enter.
If you could let me know ,how to do a Load testing for ADF application using BPM , it would be helpful
Thanks
