Oracle Application- JAVA error
Hi,
I'm from Oracle Apps support. I dont have access to mid tier or even the logs
I support for Oracle 11.5.10
I can find users often facing this when trying to login (appslogin) to apps through Single sign on, they end up with the error
*"Unable to generate forwarding URL. Exception: oracle.apps.fnd.common.AppsException: java.lang.NullPointerException: null Connection"*
But when i just close the browser(IE) and try to re-login in another window this issue disappears and it allows users to to enter and select the responsibility.
Can you please tell me why this problem occurs and what can be done to avoid this error
Regards,
Remi

Hi,
I'm from Oracle Apps support. I dont have access to mid tier or even the logsChecking the contents of Apache log files should be helpful in troubleshooting the issue.
I can find users often facing this when trying to login (appslogin) to apps through Single sign on, they end up with the error
Unable to generate forwarding URL. Exception: oracle.apps.fnd.cache.CacheException
But when i just close the browser(IE) and try to re-login in another window this issue disappears and it allows users to to enter and select the responsibility. Can you find any details about the error in JRE/Jinitiator console window?
Can you reproduce the issue with Firefox?
Have you tried to clear the browser cache and Jinitiator jcache and see if this helps?
Also, please verify that you have no invalid objects in the database.
Thanks,
Hussein

Help me, why Oracle Application raised error:no such trigger.
Dear friend,
I have developed a form program in FORMs 6I, and it works in my ORACLE APPLICATIONS ,but after it is installed in another Server,it popup the error windown, it said : FRM-40700:No such trigger:menu_to_appcore.
I don't know why, somebody told me ,the oracle application with different vesion will cause this problem, is it true?, if it's true, how can i avoid it if i have to use those triggers.
Thanks a lot.
regards,
willen 2002/06/27Willen,
I suggest you review the Oracle Applications Developer's Guide (http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B25516_18/current/acrobat/115devg.pdf). More than likely, your form does not include one or more of the required libraries or other subclassed objects required for an Applications Form. I highly recommend you base any Custom Form on the provided TEMPLATE.fmb that comes with Apps. This will ensure you have all the required objects in your form and the library paths are neutral (no hard-coded file paths to the library - which could be the cause of your error).
somebody told me ,the oracle application with different vesion will cause this problem,As to this statement, you need to contact your DBA or Apps Server admin to find out which version of Oracle Forms is installed on the Apps Server. Your development environment must match. For example, Forms 6i patchset 18 installed on the Apps Server, you should have Forms 6i patchset 18 installed on your workstation. It will work if your workstation has a lower version than the Apps Server, but you're asking for trouble if you have a newer version installed on your workstation.
Hope this helps.
Craig...
P.S. The E-Bus Suite forum is the more appropriate forum for an Applications question. This forum is for non-EBS Forms development. :-) -
Oracle application cloning error
Hi
I tried to do the cloning in oracle application 11.5.10.2, but I got the following error control file creation failed, now my database status is nomount stage, now I create the control file manually its possible please give me the solution.
Regards
DHi,
What is the complete error message?
If you have managed to create the control files manually, you can follow the steps in (Note: 230672.1 - Cloning Oracle Applications Release 11i with Rapid Clone), under "Appendix B: Recreating Database control files manually in Rapid Clone." section. Otherwise, you will have to shutdown the source database properly, take a backup, and repeat the normal cloning steps.

Oracle Applications Adapter Error
Hi
We are currently in the process of doing a BPEL Poc for one of our customers in South Africa. We are trying to use the BPEL Oracle Applications adapter wizard to expose the Create_Employee SQL Procedure in the HR_EMPLOYEE_API package and are receiving the following error:
Error while writing wsdl file C:\Oracle\BPEL\integration\jdev\mywork\BPELTesting\BPELPlay\Test.wsdl
Exception: WSDLException: faultCode=OTHER_ERROR: The wrapper procedure, HR_EMPLOYEE_API$CREATE_EMPLOY, could not be found in the package, XX_BPEL_POC, for the schema, APPS.
The Ebusiness Suite has been created as a standard VISION installation and is on version11.5.10. I have been able to successfully create HIRE_INTO_JOB Procedure within the same package.
Your urgent assistance in this matter will be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Anton GouwsThe numeric or value error is indeed due to a reference to an empty collection. JPublisher generates code that doesn't handle this situation. Fortunately, the problem was discovered during a POC. Refer to Bug-5658264 for details. It has already been corrected in time for the 10.1.3.3.0 release. You may also request a one-off patch for 10.1.3.1.0.

Hello,
I recently successfully installed 8i Enterprise Edition on Windows 2000. Since then, whenever I reboot, I receive approximately 10 Dr. Watson errors in a row, saying "java.exe has generated errors and will be shut down by Windows".
This condition really didn't result in any other problem until I tried to run DBA Studio under Database Administration. DBA Studio presents an introductory screen, and then just hangs, requiring a reboot to get rid of it.
Would appreciate any ideas.
Thank you.
TedHi,
Don't know if you still need this.
Was having the same problem. What I did was rename the SYMCJIT.DLL file found in ORACLE_HOME\APACHE\JDK\JRE\BIN.
Not sure how this is going to affect any java related stuff.

Discoverer Plus/Viewer from menu item in Oracle Applications errors.
Starting Discoverer Plus/Viewer from menu item in Oracle Applications R12 errors.
Here is some general config information that is suspected to be the issue.
1. Running Oracle Applications R12 over HTTPS.
2. Running Discoverer Plus/Viewer over HTTP.
3. Calling menu item that calls a function to start Plus/Viewer.
Function Definition called by the menu item is listed blow.
Properties Tab: Type=SSWA jsp function Context Dependence=Responsibility
Form Tab: Parameters="mode=DISCO"
Web HTML Tab: HTML Call=OracleOasis.jsp
Fact: Starting Discoverer Plus using a URL works fine in the browser. The login page comes up and I can look in to Plus.
The page that dose a redirection to start the Plus applet or Viewer web page fails with this error in IE 7.
Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage
Most likely causes:
You are not connected to the Internet.
The website is encountering problems.
There might be a typing error in the address.
Thank you for your time.Hi,
Check that the ICX system profiles are set correctly for your Discoverer configuration. In particular the ICX: Discoverer Launcher and ICX: Discoverer Viewer Launcher system profiles.
When IE displays an error is the URL displayed in the browser a correct Disco URL?

Oracle application server 10.1.3.1.0 install - JAVA error
Hi Everyone,
I am trying to Install Oracle Application Server 10.1.3.1.0 on 32 bit Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5.8 (Tikanga)
When running the Installer, I use the -ignoreSysPrereqs option because 10.1.3.1.0 is only supported with Linux Server 4, I believe. But I know people have installed it on Linux 5.7 and 5.8
anyways, Oracle application server gets installed and asks me to run root.sh. I run root.sh and then hit the OK button to proceed,
At this point, it tries to run the configuration assistant and fails right away with the following error:

It also mentions about the buffer space....could that be a reason for this.

Oracle Applications error in install
Hello everyone,
I have installed the OBI 10.3.3 version and I am trying to install the Oracle BI Applications. At the end of the installation I receive a message that an error ocurred during the copying of files (DWFilesBean). I look at C:\OracleBI\log\installApps.log file and I see this error message:
+....+
+{color:#0000ff}*STACK_TRACE: 12*+
ProductException: (error code = 601; message="err"; additional data = C:\OracleBI\dwrep\Informatica\SrcFiles\parameterfileDW.txt is not an existing file)+
at com.installshield.product.actions.MoveFile.install(MoveFile.java:42)+
+{color}+
I have created the DBs and the odbc connector but they are not necessary at this stage right? They are necessary for the Informatica installation?
Does anyone know what could be the problem?
I am running this installation on a Windows 2003 Server.
Thank you very much in advance.
SoledadHello all,
Looking at the log I am seeing a java error now. I already looked for information regarding this and it says that is a bug with no solution.. I downloaded the latestd jdk version and the error is still there, did any of you experience the same issue?
The error is:
(Sep 3, 2008 1:39:01 AM), Install.product.install, com.installshield.wizard.platform.win32.Win32ProductServiceImpl, msg1, installing Files (DWExportZipFile)
(Sep 3, 2008 1:39:21 AM), Install.product.install, com.installshield.product.actions.Files, err, java.util.zip.ZipException: invalid stored block lengths

java.util.zip.ZipException: invalid stored block lengths
at com.installshield.archive.index.ISInflaterInputStream.read(CompressedURLConnection.java:174)
at java.io.FilterInputStream.read(Unknown Source)
I know this is apparently a java issue...i will send them an email too but since this is happening while installing the OBI Applications, I'm asking it here.
Thank you again.

Error starting Oracle Application server
Hi I installed Oracle application server 10g. I successfully installed it. But when i stopped the opmn and emctl process and now when i am trying to start i am able to successfully start but when i type the URL of OAS Admin console. I get following error:
500 Internal Server Error
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: oracle/sysman/eml/app/Console at java.lang.Class.forName0(Native Method) at java.lang.Class.forName(Class.java(Compiled Code)) at com.evermind[Oracle Application Server Containers for J2EE 10g (10.1.2.0.2)].server.http.HttpApplication.loadServlet(HttpApplication.java:2283) at com.evermind[Oracle Application Server Containers for J2EE 10g (10.1.2.0.2)].server.http.HttpApplication.findServlet(HttpApplication.java:4795) at com.evermind[Oracle Application Server Containers for J2EE 10g (10.1.2.0.2)].server.http.HttpApplication.getRequestDispatcher(HttpApplication.java:2821) at com.evermind[Oracle Application Server Containers for J2EE 10g (10.1.2.0.2)].server.http.HttpRequestHandler.processRequest(HttpRequestHandler.java:680) at com.evermind[Oracle Application Server Containers for J2EE 10g (10.1.2.0.2)].server.http.HttpRequestHandler.run(HttpRequestHandler.java:285) at com.evermind[Oracle Application Server Containers for J2EE 10g (10.1.2.0.2)].server.http.HttpRequestHandler.run(HttpRequestHandler.java:126) at com.evermind[Oracle Application Server Containers for J2EE 10g (10.1.2.0.2)].util.ReleasableResourcePooledExecutor$MyWorker.run(ReleasableResourcePooledExecutor.java:192) at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:568)
Can any one please help me resolve this issue at the earliest?Hi,
Now I'm just thinking with U because error 500 can be result of different reasons. I think (I'm not sure)at this situation it has to do with java version.
AIX 5.3 has java version 1.4.2. .
Would U like to go $ORACLE_HOME\jdk\jre\bin\ then just type ./java -full version or java version.
Which result U 'll get.
also type in which java
moreover can U give me the output of the env command.
the last step before U start any as process just do the following
ps -ef | grep (owner of your as)
if U 'll find any process just kill it kill -15 process id if it does not help then hard kill with -9
try to set your environement variable well then start your opmn components again per-process to see which process is going wrong.
Let me know,
Regards
