    Our XML Publisher TMP is not defined, so it uses the APPLTMP used by concurrent manager. There is a folder xdofonts/<SID> in $APPLTMP. It contains the fonts used by XML publisher and on the of font file (.ttf) was 0 byte. We copied the ttf file from QA. And it started working.
    Best practice is to define diffent TMP for concurrent managers and XML Publisher.

  • How to access Oracle Apps 11i forms using Vmware Player?

    Hi,
    I have installed Oracle Apps 11i on native OS OEL5 Server and guest OS Windows XPP using Vmware Player.Now how to access Oracle Apps 11i forms from Windows XPP using Vmware on my OEL5 Server Desktop?
    Thank's
    Regard's
    Rerry

    Hi,
    If you mean how to access eBusiness Suite from within the Virtual Machine, then you just navigate to the same URL you normally would. You may need to put the machine alias in your hosts file if you are referencing it via machine name rather than IP address.
    If you mean that you want to load the form in forms builder (for example) then you need to FTP the form from server to client (as you normally would) and then open it in your client (XP virtual machine).
    If you want to use Workflow Builder (as per your original requirement) then you need to ensure that the TNSNAMES.ora file in the Workflow Builder home has an entry for your instance on Linux, and then you should be able to connect to the database directly.

  • Handling oracle forms errors (frm-nnnnn) locally

    is there a way to handle an oracle form error (e.g. frm-40508) locally in a way similar to handle oracle database errors.
    e.g.
    procedure insert_something is
    insert_error exception;
    pragma exception_init(insert_error,-40508);
    begin
    :c1.a := 1;
    :c1.b := 2;
    commit_form;
    exception
    when insert_error then
    <handle insert error on c1 block>;
    end;
    Edited by: mojo on Oct 7, 2008 4:34 AM

    by locally i mean within the pl/sql block that will have raised the error.
    an example i encoutnered recently, but by no means the only occasion i have wished such things:
    function mseRecStatus returnvarchar2 is
    rtnChar varchar2(32);
    begin
    rtnChar := get_record_property(mouseRec,mouseBlock,status);
    return rtnChar;
    end;
    This is called from a pre-pop-menu trigger. mouseRec and block are calculated previously. A right-click on a record item below the last record raises error frm-40741 (unable to locate record on block). it would be nice to be able to do something like the following without incolving an on-error trigger:
    function mseRecStatus returnvarchar2 is
    rtnChar varchar2(32);
    non_record_clicked exception;
    pragma exception_init(non_record_clicked,-40741);
    begin
    rtnChar := get_record_property(mouseRec,mouseBlock,status);
    return rtnChar;
    exception
    when non_record_clicked then
    return null;
    end;

  • Forms ERROR - FRM-18107: Failed to load the DE context for the module

    I have recently installed Oracle 10g (10.2.0) which is up and running fine (WinXP).
    I then installed Developer Suite 10g (10.1.2.0.2).
    When I try to open Forms I get the following error;
    'FRM-18107: Falied to load the DE context for the module'
    I have;
    DRIVE:oracle/product/10.2.0/oradb
    DRIVE:oracle/product/10.2.0/devsuite
    Can anyone advise?
    Many thanks in advance.

    Hello All,
    I would like to know more about the FRM-18107 error. I have tried getting rid of the error by altering my windows environment variable ORACLE_HOME, and going through numerous websites. But still no luck. I am about to de-install Forms 10g rel2 using the OUI. But I plan on leaving oracle 10g database on the system. Hope this will not cause any conflict. Also do I need to do anything in the registry after de-installation of forms 10g.Or is there any order of installation, i.e Do i need to install forms 10g before oracle 10g database.
    PLs also let me know if i will need to download any pathch for this to be sorted. But I didn't think so because during installation i noticed a few patches were being put to place as part of forms 10g rel2. Does it still needs a patch for it to work and get rid of the FRM-18107 error? If so, what is the name of the patch and how do i apply the patch. Pls let me know. Any comment on this will be well appreciated and valuable.
    Thanks.
    Cheers
    Aj

  • Oracle APPS custom form using KFF is not working as expected

    Hi,
    I have created a custom form and using KFF to accept code combination in line block. My custom form is based on AP_INVOICES_INTERFACE and AP_INVOICE_LINES_INTERFACE.
    When I query the records in form and update the code combination field using keyboard (typing or copy-paste) it works fine at first time but when I re-enter another code then it does not accepts the new code and reverts to previous code. Form accepts the same code when KFF screen is using by pressing LOV button. I concluded this problem as "when record status is QUERY then KFF works fine with keyboard but when record status changes to CHANGED then it does not accepts the new code when entered using keyboard".
    I have created all triggers and invoked relevant fnd_flex.event in triggers. I have created PRE-QUERY, POST-QUERY, PRE-INSERT, PRE-UPDATE, WHEN-VALIDATE-ITEM, WHEN-VALIDATE-RECORD, WHEN-NEW-ITEM-INSTANCE, KEY-EDIT, KEY-LISTVAL at form level and calling FND_FLEX.EVEND and APPS_STANDARD.EVENT (where required) in triggers.
    This same issue is in AP Invoice Workbench form. When updateing code combination in distribution block in invoice form is showing same behaviour.
    I am running this form in 12.1.2, same form is working in other instance which is on 12.1.3.
    Please help.
    Regards,

    Please check the below link just to make sure all steps are taken care.

  • Oracle apps custom form

    Hi Friends
    I am creating one custom form in oracle apps 11.5.10.2. It has 2 buttons .If I click first (FIND) button it will select the record from custom table and it will appear according to my query.Then I will select the check box and I will click the second button ( Approved Button ) .It should update in my custom table.
    Right now it is working fine in my form. But it is updating as well as inserting one new row with same information.
    How I can avoid this duplication in my custom table ?
    This is very urgent can any one help me.
    Thanks in Advance
    A.Sahul Hameed

    Is your checkbox a database item? Do you have a Post-Query trigger that displays data in a seperate data block? Is the form inserting a duplicate record in the same table or inserting a new record in a different table?

  • CHILD form error FRM-30100: Block must have at least one primary key item.

    Hi friends,
    I have increased the DML array of the child block from 1 to 10, but it throws me error:
    FRM-30100: Block must have at least one primary key item.
    Block: CEC_ADJUSTMENT_RECON
    Form: CEC_ADJ
    FRM-30085: Unable to adjust form for output.
    How does a form know that the table does not have primary key? Is it referring to it?
    Thanks a lot

    I dont understand why do you increase the DML array size..
    Because it says in the HELP
    Specifies the maximum array size for inserting, updating, and deleting records in the database at one time.
    A larger size reduces transaction processing time by reducing network traffic to the database, but requires more memory.  The optimal size is the number of records a user modifies in one transaction.
    The FRM-30100 comes not because of the above property..
    If your query data source type is other than TABLE, it is a must to set at least one database field's PRIMARY KEY ITEM PROPERTY in the block to be a YES.
