Oracle BAM report to display N number of records

hello,
We have configured a BAM report which displays data from a DB view. now since my view has 100's of records and we would like to show only first 100 records on report page.
I understand this can be achieved by changing my query by adding rownum <= 100 but here we dont want to change the query.
I have checked on BAM report property and dont see any such setting...
is this achievable from BAM DO or other property setting. ?

Oracle BAM report output

Is there any way the BAM report data to output to Xcel or PDF format?
It appears that the default reports(graphs) created from BAM ACTIVE STUDIO only allow to:
- print
- Return to Home
- Return to previous page
when zoomed in (drilled down) to data sheet.
Is it possible to copy the datasheet to Excel or PDF, etc?

Technically no. I did find a work around that seems to be working for us. I created an excell report in BAM that looks at the dataobjects with the same filters/parameters of the report I want to export from. I then created an action button that linked to that report on the main report and called it "Export Data" and mapped the filters. When the user clicks on the button it seems like it is exporting the data from the graph they are looking at, but it is actually just opening a new report with the same filters. You can save the excel file to your desktop.
Note that there are bugs with excel, at least in 10.1.3.3 that causes it to freeze-up sometimes if you have any other excel windows open on your pc.

How to print new main report page based on number of records in subreport?

Hi,
I've a main report which prints on a pre-printed stationary with 2 subreports in the detail section. The subreport prints multiple records. If there are more than 6 records in the subreports, a new page should be printed with all the contents of the main report and the subreports should continue with the remaining records. How can I do this? I've tried incrementing a shared variable counter in the subreport and accessed that variable in the detail section of the main report to check the counter and reset the counter to 0 if it exceeds 6. But this does not work. All the lines till it can hit page footer are printing on first page and the second page prints only the remaining subreport lines without the other details of the main report page.
The main report page uses a view which returns only 1 record. The subreport returns multiple records.
I would certainly appreciate if any one can provide a solution for this problem.

sorry, i misunderstood exactly what you wanted.
let me get this straight...
1) if there's more than 6 records in the subreport then show only the first 6 records
2) then (if there's more than 6 records) do a new page after the subreport
3) then (if there's more than 6 records) show the subreport's remaining records and the rest of the report
let know if i've got it straight.
if that is correct, you will have received another sample report that does this. in total 3 subreports are used...one is a dummy report that adds up the number of records which is used later. there's more info on the report's design mode.

Shuttle not displaying exact number of Records

I have declaratively defined a shuttle wherein the records are being populated by a VO . On calling the Vo.getRowCount() i get 212. Also am calling vo.setMaxFetchSize(-1) .But the number of records displayed in the leading List are only 201. I have also set the size of the list as 500.
Can any one please help me in displaying all the records fetched by the VO..

Also check the profile option FND: View Object Max Fetch Size. It is by default set to 200.

Need help to display n number of records per page

I am trying to display the records using the RowSetIterate loop.
After showing 10 records, I break the loop using the
RowSetNavigate. After that I want to display the next 10 records
which I am not able to do. Can Anybody help?

Oracle BAM Reports and Dataobjects are missing after the ADC service is up.

I had a problem like my BAM's ADC service was not starting up. I could resolve the problem but once that was done, a new problem araised like this;
All my reports and the Data objects were missing . I couldn't find anything in the Architect and the Viewer. All the users that were created were found missing in the 'login management' of the BAM administrator. I check out my BAM Schema,as you all know the default schema "Orabam". I could find all my dataobjects in the tables section.
Can any one of you throw more light on it as to how would I get back my Data objects and reports??
and Kindly tell me where exactly do these reports get saved....
Any light on these will really be appreciated....

Need to shorten Oracle BAM report generated URL

I need to shorten the URL length after selecting the BAM Service and operation type from BAM-Active reports. The URL i got is lengthy. Please provide away to shorten it.

I want to calculate the Actual Value/Target Value in report. Currently I am hard coding this target value. But the issue I am facing is as followed:
For example 2/2 , it gives me correct result 1. but 2/10 , it gives me zero, when i m puuting this in Fx of that perticular col. i tried changing the Data Type but it is still giving the same result.

Security levels for oracle bam reports

I have created 3 reports, i want give the credentials for 3 users, But each user has able to see single reports only. no other user won't see other 2 reports...
(like a particular User will see particular report)

Hi Ravi,
To share a report you need to add move your report to Shared Reports. If you want to provide access to particular users, you have to create a Directory, put the Report into the Directory, go to the Directory permissions and add the users.

How to count and display the number of records in a database table

My webpage has a list of items and their details, every item has a button
Read / Make comments that loads the item in its own page displaying
a comments form and previous comments.
This is all working fine.
I would like to add to each item information stating how many comments have
been made about that item.
Allowing the user to see before hand if it is worth while clicking on the
Read / Make comments button.
Ideally each item will have a different number of comments.
The problem I have is outputing the number of comments associated with each item.
My comments table is called guest my items table is called titles.
I'm sure mysql statement is correct -
The table guest currently has 7 comments,
Item 1 has 3 comments
Item 2 has 2 comments
Item 3 has 1 comment
Item 4 has 1 comment
When I test the query in dreamweaver

and added a while loop to iterate over the data

It looks as if the problem is trying to get the repeat region to pick up on it!

Report to display all the status records of an Idoc

Hi,
I need to find out all the status records for an idoc and display them as a report. Is there any existing SAP Report that does that. I checked in table edids and all the status records of the idoc are not stored in the status text which is empty althogh there are 12 counters for the idoc.

How-To Display the Number of Records Returned from a List to the User?

We currently are using lists to identify accounts that meet various criteria. Because the territories vary from 4k to 60k customers the users have stated that they don't know the size of the list and therefore don't know if they need to refine the list. Currently they are exporting to Excel to look at the row count to see if they need to further refine their searches. This takes quite a while and while shuffling through many lists is a bit painful. Isn't there a way to just show the total records returned from the list down at the bottom of the screen where it allows you to see 25/50/75/100 records at a time?
There is probably a simple way to do this but it is a large user dissatisfier at the time because we simply don't know how to make this show up. Again we are using lists and not analytics for simple lists at this time.
