I have oracle database 11GR2 on windows 7 when i want to start enterprise manager , the error in below is shown : Microsoft Windows [Version 6.1.7601] Copyright (c) 2009 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.

check if oracle services is up and running, also export ORACLE_SID, ORACLE_HOME and ORACLE_BASE and try again.

Oracle Enterprise Manager - HTTP error: 503 Service Unavailable
Dear all,
some time ago I've upgraded Oracle Database 10g up to version 10.2.0.4.0 on a Linux system.
Now if I try to connect to HTTP Oracle Enterprise Manager interface (http://(My server name):1158/em/console/aboutApplication) I see this error into my browser: "503 Service Unavailable - Service is not initialized correctly. The Em Key is not configured properly. Run "emctl status emkey" for more details."
If I perform "emctl status dbconsole" command from command line I have this output

Please give me a solution to resolve the issueEach version has its won libraries and certain bug fixes. It's always good to see certification matrix first for any software and proceed with installation as per certified components. Also, vendor support your project only if you are using their certified versions. :)

I had enterprise manager (oracle 8.1.6) running just fine (although I had to start it manually after reboot)
I installed OAS now it refuses to start
and gives win nt error 2140

1) Stop the dbconsole
<ORACLE_HOME>/bin/emctl stop dbconsole
2) Search for a file named jcb.jar under ORACLE_HOME/sysman/webapps/emd/WEB-INF/lib
3) Copy the jcb.jar that you found to <ORACLE_HOME>/sysman/jlib folder
4) Start the dbconsole
<ORACLE_HOME>/bin/emctl start dbconsole
How search: login to

right side, copy and paste 434834.1
main problem is you are not able to see chart Active Sessions or chart Host CPU in EM

Oracle Enterprise Manager Console Error

I have installed Oracle 10g client for administrator(for Windows Vista) on my Windows Vista machine to manage Oracle databases remotely.
However, after creating the TNS service names I get error in OEM admin console as follows and do not see any DB connections.
Error: Failed to parse tnsnames.ora file
oracle.net.config.serviceAliasException: TNS-04404: No error
caused by Oracle.net.configException: TNS-04414
caused by TNS-04610"
How can I troubleshoot this error and rectify OEM console.

I had exactly the same problem: ServiceAliasException: 11, not 10 as in the MetaLink note referred to above.
It turned up today, but the tnsnames.ora file hasn't been changed since October 15:th. It turns out to be
some kind of security matter in windows (XP in my case, but I guess it's about the same in Vista).
All the files in my TNS_ADMIN folder have been set to read-only. Looking at them with cygwin shows that
it's actually even worse: They've been chmod:ed 0 and put on an ACL.
Once I chmod:ed them writable again (guess removing the read only flag in windows would do the same),
I could create and save new entries with my 10.2 OEM standalone again.
Seems youy get a "ServiceAliasException: 11" when tnsnames can't be written.

It will ask for user name / password. Specify the user details that you used at the time of the Oracle BI 11g install. You could also use a ‘Boot Identity File’ -(boot.properties). Check the documentation for more details.
Wait untill you see message Admin server is in ‘RUNNING MODE’.
–> Now start Managed server from GUI
Access WebLogic console from a webbrowser
http://<machinename>:7001/console
Login, Environment > servers > Control > select bi_server1 > click on start
It would take some time for the Managed server to start. Wait untill you see the ‘Running’ status.
–> Now start the OBIEE components from command prompt
Cd bi0104\instances\instance7\bin
opmnctl startall
Note that it’s a possible startup sequence. There are multiple ways to statup.
i am getting all above messages all but not getting oracle process manager up in the services.msc

I also have an iAS 10g server on the same machine and OWM starts fine when I am that user (it was installed new not cloned)

I am installing Oracle Identity Federation in that i am getting following issue while configuring the tools in Oracle Identity Management Suite 11.1.1.2.0.
"Error Starting Managed Server wls_oif1.
Cause:
An internal error has occured : Managed Server didn't start in RUNNING mode"
Can anyone please help me to solve this issue.

The pre-req is that it should be minimum 2GB RAM.
Also please try starting the server manually and stop the server and then Retry in the install wizard.

thanksNot sure if I understand your issue correctly. Your deployment failed during the installation and you have started the servers and trying to login?
When installing OIM in a clustered WLS domain, the docs specify various cluster configurations needed to be completed in the WLS Admin Console before running the OIM installer. These steps DO NOT include starting up of the first managed server. In fact, if you start up the managed server then you may very well run into deployment issues after the OIM application is built. Instead, when installing OIM, the installer detects that not all nodes are on-line and so will queue the deployment for later. Deployment then takes place in later steps when you are instructed to restart the app server and start managed nodes.
Thus was your managed server running when you were doing the installation? That has caused the issue. I would suggest to dump this domain (save the .xldatabasekey) if you don't wanna to dump the database part and start the installation again BUT don't start the managed server while doing the installation.

Unable to start Oracle Process Manager from the windows services for OBIEE
Hi,
I have OBIEE 11g installed on a 32-bit windows machine. Of the two windows services installed, I am unable to start the Oracle Process Manager. When I try to start it I get the following error:
Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.
At the back end, this service is calling the file opmn.exe which is placed at MIDDLEWAREHOME\Oracle_BI1\opmn\bin. On trying to execute this file the error we get is:

I have tried replacing the orauts.dll file, but to no avail.

This error occurs for the following reasons,
*Path variable is not set properly
*Multiple Oracle homes exists in the same machine.
Follow the below steps and let me know if it works,
1. Select My Computer -> Right Click -> Properties
2. In the System Properties screen go to Advanced Tab
3. Click on Environment Variables
4. In the System Variables section select PATH variable & Click edit
5. Now you will find that it will contain invalid directories. Remove the incorrect entries. This may happen when you have multiple oracle homes in the same machine
6. Restart the service.

Oracle Enterprise Manager Agent deployment (Installation and Configuration) Error
Hello,
I am trying to create an agent on a linux server using Oracle Enterprise Manager 12.1.0.3. The user is created with root privilege on the server, by change /etc/sudoers entry username the same as the root entry. After that I tried to add host target by clicking Setup->Add Target->Add target Manually->Add Host Targets in the Oracle Enterprise Manager.
In the Add Target view: I clicked on add, then I entry host and platform information. After that I click next. Then I provided the Linux x86-64 : Installation Details for
Installation Base Directory, Instance Directory, Name Credential ... then click next. then click Deploy Agent.
In the Add Host Status view: stages Initialization and Remote Prerequisite Check successfully passed, but in the stage Agent Deployment, it failed in the Installation and Configuration phrase of the Agent Deployment stage.
The log content is shown below. There are numerous SEVERE Errors. But I don't have much experience in dealing with these type of problems. I thank you in advance for all the helps.

On Enterprise Manager server [nsn175-105], we did the following:
1. we modified /etc/exports to include this line: /export *(rw,no_root_squash,sync)
we start nfs service by executing command “service nfs start”.
On Management Agent server (nsn175-89), we verified that we are able to mount /export directory of EM server.
On Management Agent server, we started firefox browser and were able to run successfully https://nsn175-105.us.oracle.com:4904/empbs/genwallet
After making this change, we ran agent deployment again. We encountered the same error as shown above.

For fixing the software library, select Setup->Provision and Patching->Offline Patching, then select Offline Patching radio button, download: https://updates.oracle.com/download/em_catalog.zip. Next upload this zip file.

2. The OAM protected application, here is redirected to the OAM page to enter the credentials for the application.
3. Shows the application, and again reorders authentication credentials.
