Oracle Enterprise Manager 12c - Agent communication error: peer not authenticated

Hello,
I'm using a VIP for my OMS instances, I have installed a CA signed SSL cert, I'm using a intermediate CA certificate as well. The browser sees it as secure and trusted. I can curl or wget from the same linux box the agent is on with no problem, the cert is trusted.
When I try to secure any agents to my OMS, it always fails on this error:

Have you configured the certificate for https upload as per section 2.3.9.2 of the following doc?

Oracle Enterprise Manager 12c - OMS error

Dear Team,
We are working on Oracle 11.2.0.3 Database on Linux platform. Today, we tried to install Oracle enterprise manager 12c and it got installed successfully.
But when I try to start oms, its giving below error message:
[oracle@development2 bin]$ ./emctl start oms
EM Configuration issue. /u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0/dbhome_1/development2_orcl not found.
I checked and found that hostname_dbname folder is not available at $ORACLE_HOME location.
I am able to open weblogic console but unable to login EM due to above error.
Please let me know how this issue can be resolved.

Last Friday, Oracle released version 12.1.0.3.0 of the TimesTen Plug-in for Oracle Enterprise Manager 12c Cloud Control. This is a landmark release with many new features for database administrators. The issue seems to be from DB side and an SR would help you in resolving the issue.
However, added below few points you can look as well from your side.
+ DB may be core dumping in which case it would be required to resolve the core dump issue.
+ Running ASH report from sqlplus may not be working in which we need to resolve the DB side issue.
+ If feasible you can choose to upgrade DB to higher version.

Oracle Enterprise Manager 11g - 'unexpected login error'

Hi,
I am having trouble logging into Oracle Enterprise Manager - Fusion Middleware Control. at the login screen when i enter in the UN and PWD, I get the msg: 'unexpected login error'. I was able to login before, this just happend and now I cannot login. Any help would be appreciated.

Installed firefox 31 and now I can't get to our oracle enterprise manager 12c URL

On Monday, I upgraded to Firefox 31 and now I cannot connect to our Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control Web site. I get the following error message:
Secure Connection Failed
An error occurred during a connection to lmoemxs101q.atl2.dc.sita.aero:7799. Issuer certificate is invalid. (Error code: sec_error_ca_cert_invalid)
The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.

I am not sure what to do to get rid of this message. I need to use OEM to monitor our Oracle databases and I am no longer able to do this.

Thanks. I made the parameter change yesterday and now I can get to OEM and monitor our Oracle databases. I sent the workaround to my fellow DBA's in our office, as they all had the same issue with Firefox 31.
You mentioned that this the "insecure workaround" and should be used temporarily. How unsecure is it, and is the a better workaround being worked on?

EM Recovery Error (peer not authenticated)

Hi Guys,
A week ago my production database EM had corrupted and I fixed it by resetting the password of sysman and do some file works in windows. But it was not completely fixed. Now I'm open the EM it says
Enterprise Manager is not able to connect to the database instance. The state of the components are listed below. I have only two options ether Startup or Perform Recovery. And when I'm going with any options it give an error saying peer not authenticated. Please help me to solve this issue.

I ran into some error during installation. And I need your help in solving this problem. The error occurs during Step Configure (Configuration assistant "Repository Configuration" has failed) and the Repository Configuration in the Installation Progress Details view.

You are using DB12 as EM repository which is not certified. From the log, ORA-65096: invalid common user or role name , some people have reported similar issue while using DB12 as their repository.
If this not the case then log an SR with oracle support and upload the logs:

- $ORACLE_HOME/cfgtoollogs/ zipped
- central inventory logs

Oracle Enterprise Manager Agent deployment (Installation and Configuration) Error

Hello,
I am trying to create an agent on a linux server using Oracle Enterprise Manager 12.1.0.3. The user is created with root privilege on the server, by change /etc/sudoers entry username the same as the root entry. After that I tried to add host target by clicking Setup->Add Target->Add target Manually->Add Host Targets in the Oracle Enterprise Manager.
In the Add Target view: I clicked on add, then I entry host and platform information. After that I click next. Then I provided the Linux x86-64 : Installation Details for
Installation Base Directory, Instance Directory, Name Credential ... then click next. then click Deploy Agent.
In the Add Host Status view: stages Initialization and Remote Prerequisite Check successfully passed, but in the stage Agent Deployment, it failed in the Installation and Configuration phrase of the Agent Deployment stage.

On Enterprise Manager server [nsn175-105], we did the following:
1. we modified /etc/exports to include this line: /export *(rw,no_root_squash,sync)
we start nfs service by executing command “service nfs start”.
On Management Agent server (nsn175-89), we verified that we are able to mount /export directory of EM server.
On Management Agent server, we started firefox browser and were able to run successfully https://nsn175-105.us.oracle.com:4904/empbs/genwallet
After making this change, we ran agent deployment again. We encountered the same error as shown above.
“You can fix the software library or you can download the agent bits in offline mode.”
For fixing the software library, select Setup->Provision and Patching->Offline Patching, then select Offline Patching radio button, download: https://updates.oracle.com/download/em_catalog.zip. Next upload this zip file.

We are not sure what agent bits are. Would you please explain this and provide procedure how we can download this?

I installed Oracle 11g R2 in Linux machine and also changed the port number from 1521 to 1522.
Now i can take oracle DB through sqlplus.....Database is OPEN.....Listener is STARTED.......
But when i start oracle enterprise Manager (OEM),getting following errors..

Arun -
After you create the EM repository, you cannot change the host name, IP address or listener configuration. If you do, db control will no longer work. In fact, just a few days ago, I made a listener configuration change and received the same error that you did from EM.
The solution - drop and then recreate the EM repository.
To drop:
emca -deconfig dbcontrol db -repos drop
To create:
emca -config dbcontrol db -repos create

Unable to connect Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g

I using oracle 10g.

iam connecting successfully in Toad using scott/tiger.
Whenever im connecting using Oracle Enterprise Manager im getting below error
"The application requires more database privileges than you have currently been granted. Click on Help to get more version specific information."
Pls help me on this issue.. How can i connect to database using OEM.

CONNECT has been dramatically altered in 10.1.0.x and later releases of Oracle. The granted privileges have been seriously reduced to nothing more than CREATE SESSION. In 9.0.1.x and 9.2.0.x the CONNECT role possessed these additional privileges:
ALTER SESSION
CREATE CLUSTER
CREATE DATABASE LINK
CREATE SEQUENCE
CREATE SYNONYM
CREATE TABLE
CREATE VIEW
Thus an application which relied upon the CONNECT role in 9iR2 and earlier releases would not properly function against a 10gR1 or later database.
you need to have these Oracle Roles , so ur problem will be solved.

"peer not authenticated" in IDT when connecting to https

I am trying to create an ODATA connection in Information Design Tool (4.1 SP2).
In the Service Root URI, if I use HTTPS, it gives me an error: "peer not authenticated"
I have this issue in both external (like https://api.datamarket.azure.com/data.ashx/data.gov/Crimes/) and internal websites
Any idea how I can fix this?

Error when discovering Oracle EBS from Enterprise Manager 12C

I have installed Enterprise manager 12C and discovered EBS database.But im unable to discover EBS applications through it.
OEM VERSION : 12C R2
EBIS VERSION : VISION INSTANCE 12.1.3
DATABASE : 11.2.0.3

The errors you are receiving are typically a result of not following our published MOS note and our documentation. It’s important in order for Oracle E-Business Suite systems to be properly recognized by E-Business Suite Plug-in, AutoConfig must be enabled and updated on all nodes. You should prevalidate your system before the running discovery to help ensure success of the discovery process. These tests check that context files, context variables, users, and components are set up correctly in the system for successful discovery.

I have a PROD environment with OEM Cloud Control 12c and I do know its home page, but today I was wondering, what if I do not know the environment where could I get this info.
So I tried to find it out on Oracle docs and on the internet, on my environment but I was not able to find this info.

The easiest way is to run emctl status oms -details command from OMS_HOME/bin and check for the value for Console URL
