Oracle I supplier portal workflow -- PO Acknowledgement Workflow

Hi Friends,
Oracle iSupplier Portal uses the following workflows:
■ Supplier Change Order Workflow
■ Update Capacity Workflow
■ Order Modifiers Workflow
■ Advance Shipment Notice (ASN) Workflow
■ Purchase Order Acknowledgement (handled by PO Approval Workflow)
Since EDI 855 refers to PO Ack, we have a req to use EDI for PO Acknowledgement to be done by EDI since the users are unable to acknowledge each single PO.
As mentioned in the user guides, it is said that the Purchase Order Acknowledgement is handled by PO Approval Workflow. So now I need to write a custom logic to capture the acknowledgement from Supplier and kick of the correct workflow to proceed with acceptance/rejection or change order.
Can anyone tell me which workflow if used for this and what is the process name in PO Approval Workflow.

The best way to determine this would be to download the workflow into a wft file from 11.5.8 and 11.5.10 instances and run a simple Unix diff command on these two wft files. I do not believe you will find any documentation that will list differences at this level of detail.

  • Acknowledging PO in internet supplier portal

    In supplier portal page when selecting a particular purchase order in orders tab and clicking Acknowledge button it gives an error
    "This Purchase order doesnot require acknowledge".Kindly help us.

    After creating the PO but before submitting it for approval.
    Click on terms and then select 'Acceptance Required'.
    After this submit the PO for approval and this PO needs to be acknowleged
    by the Supplier.

  • How to trigger a second workflow from a workflow?

    Hi All,
              I want your guidance in deciding the process flow of a workflow to be developed.
              We have a scenario in our project where we have to develop a workflow for vendor creation/change
              done through a portal.Now we have designed to do through this 2 workflows.
              First workflow is triggered when the create/change is done in the portal and the entry is made in a
              z table.This is the trigger point of first workflow.
              First workflow will identify all approvals and store them in another z table with all the approval levels  needed and the approval groups stored in the z table itself.
              Second flow will trigger on the entry made in this z table.It will read all approvals and send the mails to tha approvers in the respective aproval groups.
    Now can you please verify this.Is it possible to trigger a second workflow from a workflow?
    If yes then can you please explain the methodology to do the same?
    Also if any other approach can be taken,please suggest the same.

    First Develop a Z Business OBject (let ZVENDOR) to update the Z table when ever a Vendor is created or Changed.
    Now For the first workflow do like this
    From the WD application when the user clicks on the SAVE button then call the Function module SAP_WAPI_START_WORKFLOW .
    Develop a method in the ZVENDOR to update the Z table.Make the method as background.
    Use the method that you have created in the above point in the first workflow but prior to this make sure that you have passed all the required information to the workflow.
    Once the table is updated.
    For Second Workflow
    Create a Change document object for the Ztable.
    And trigger the workflow when ever any entry is made or changed in the z table

  • Informatica Start Workflow failed in Workflow Manager

    Hi,
    I have just completed the installation of oracle BI Apps version 7.9.4 (Chapter 4 & 5 of installtion document). Now I am trying to run workflow using informatica workflow manager and i am getting below error in workflow log.
    It says "Cannot find specified parameter file [opt/oracle/informatica/server/SrcFiles/PLP.PLP_SalesOrderLinesFact_InvoicedQty_Update.txt] for session [PLP_SalesOrderLinesFact_InvoicedQty_Update].]."
    What does this mean? Do i need to perform any post installation steps? If yes, what are those? Were can i find the information on what needs to be done for loading the data?

    It is possible.
    At the oracle open world, there was a presentation about it.
    At that presentation they used a component where you could define a BPEL process and by one little line of code,you could call that proccess from within a stellent workflow.
    I don't know if that component will be released or where you can download it. If you wish, i could send you an e-mail with the component and the doc so you could try it out

  • Custom Data Type as InArgument in WorkFlow hosted in WorkFlow Manager

    We are tyring to host an workflow in a workflow manager which takes Custom Data Type(Customer) as an InArgument. We have configured the AllowedTypes with the corresponding data type and we can able to publish the workflow. When we are trying to consume the
    same we are getting serialization issue.
    'customer' with data contract name 'Customer:http://schemas.datacontract.org/2004/07/Notificaiton' is not expected. Consider using a DataContractResolver or add any types not known statically to the list of known types - for example, by using the KnownTypeAttribute attribute or by adding them to the list of known types passed to DataContractSerializer.
    When we remove the Custom data type as an InArgument everything works fine. We are not sure whether their is an constraint that custom data type cannot be passed asn parameter

    According to the error message and the issue can be caused by the edition of your SSRS is not support for the custom data provider. For example the express edition have limitation support on this:
    Features Supported by the Editions of SQL Server 2012 .
    If your edition is the supportted edition and the issue can be caused by the custom data provider do not necessarily support all the functionality supplied by Reporting Services data processing extensions. In addition, some OLE DB data providers and ODBC
    drivers can be used to author and preview reports, but are not designed to support reports published on a report server. For example, the Microsoft OLE DB Provider for Jet is not supported on the report server. For more information, see
    Data Processing Extensions and .NET Framework Data Providers (SSRS).
    If you are running on a 32-bit platform, the data provider must be compiled for a 32-bit platform. If you are running on a 64-bit platform, the data provider must be compiled for the 64-bit platform. You cannot use a 32-bit data provider wrapped with 64-bit
    interfaces on a 64 bit platform.

  • Supplier Portal Issues

    Hello, before I submit an SR, I was wanting to see if you know why we are having the following issues in our 6.1.0.1 Supplier Portal and if there is something I can do...
    Last week a new user tried to Register a new logon on our exteranl facing Supplier Portal app. They filled out the info and after clicking the second page next arrow they receieved an unhandled error. After looking at the event log for SP-Prodika on the external server it indicated that it could not find one of out custom validation DLLs. So I added all our custom validation DLLs that only contain GSM & SCRM validations to the web/supplierportal/bin. That fixed the registration issue.
    However, this week we get a call that a big supplier cannot attach attachments to sent material EQs that they have received. Sure enough I send myself an EQ, open it on the Supplier Portal, click the Add New Attachment button the popup screen gives a runtime error. Below are the 2 stack traces it throws. When I remove the custom DLLs then Add New Attachments starts working again.

    I found the issue. We dont deploy our custom dlls to the SP, however the validationsettings.xml was deployed with all our custon validations instead of an empty one. Everything works now. Thanks.

  • Errors were found when compiling the workflow. The workflow files were saved but cannot be run.

    Greetings All,
    I am having issues with a SharePoint Designer workflow.  This is a SharePoint 2013 environment, I'm using SharePoint Designer 2013 and working on a SharePoint 2010 workflow.  I'm developing this as a SharePoint 2010 workflow because I need to do
    impersonation.
    The environment and workflow have been running, in the past week, without issue.  I went to add a couple steps and now I cannot publish the workflow.  While in SharePoint Designer, I receive the error:
    "Errors were found when compiling the workflow.  The workflow files were saved but cannot be run."  When I click the Advanced button on the error dialog, the message is "Unexpected error on server associating the workflow." 
    That is all the error information I have available; nothing is in the log files.
    I have investigated this error and tried the following:
    Cleared the SharePoint Designer cache.
    The WebApp.UserDefinedWorkflowMaximumComplexity was at 7000 so I increased it to 10000.  Restarted the servers (which may not have been necessary) and tried again receiving the same error.  I then increased it to 30000 with the same error result.
    Since this is a large workflow, I tried created a workflow with a single action, write to workflow log, with the same error results.
    I reboot the servers and try again and now I can publish the small test workflow but not the original.  However, neither will run.  When I attempt to manually run the small test workflow on an item, I get an error: "Sorry something went wrong.
    An unexpected error occurs.  I checked the log files for the correlation id and nothing, nothing was logged for the error. ~arg~
    Also, now no workflows can be published in this web app.  Not just the one I was working on but none of them!
    Does anyone have a clue what has happened to the SharePoint 2010 workflow service?  Or some suggestions for me to try?

    I appreciate it but if you see my original post, this is a SharePoint 2010 workflow that cannot be published; which has now caused all SharePoint 2010 workflows in the same web app to error.
    Your first link is specific to SharePoint 2013 workflows.
    Your second link refers to the UserDefinedWorkflowMaximumComplexity.  If you read my original post, I've already tried this and I've tried to publish a small (single activity) workflow.
    Your third link also refers to large workflows with many approval activities.  My workflow doesn't contain any approval activities.
    And you fourth link refers to 2013 workflows not 2010.
    My issue is with publishing and running a SharePoint 2010 workflow in SharePoint 2013.

    There is not much of the differance between CRM workflows and SAP Business  workflows..
    Workflows are esentially part of Basis (BC) components and hence its the same across all SAP products as all these products have components of Basis(BC) in them...
    To Conclude, SAP Busines workflows and CRM workflows are the same things... However when you work on CRM, the BOR objects would be belonging to CRM and not to ECC... However conceptwise , there in no change at all.. If you learn BIT100......, you can also work on CRM workflows..

  • Delete Workflow items from workflow inbox.

    We are using workflow in MSS for Compensation Management. As part of this an email will be sent to the managers when a compensation needs an approval. There are some workflow items under workflow inbox ( SBWP ) . How can I delete emails which I don't want to execute. I don't see any delete button. I can see delete buttons for the documents under inbox, but these emails that I want to delete are under workflow in Inbox.

    You are refering to the emails in the inbox ( SBWP ) where I can delete my emails with the help of a delete button. But I am referring to the workflow items that are present under INBOX -> WORKFLOW. There is no delete button on these workflow items. If we execute these workflow items then they will be deleted automatically. I am looking for a solution by which I can delete (clean up) all the workflow items that are not executed from last year so that we can be ready for our compensation for this year.

    In the supplier portal, the default view is target facility. Can the portal be configured to have the default view be source facility or company? Reason - supplier feedback indicates they would like their default view to be supplier centric (from their viewpoint) rather than customer (the company hosting Agile) centric.

    Sorry but there is not a configuration to the portal that will provide this change.
